Chapter 2

21. BLUSH: Scarlet's compliment caused Freddy to blush. Hard time. Freddy's face was almost as red as Scarlet's fur.

22. COMPLIMENT: Freddy tried to think of a nice compliment to say to Scarlet but only air came out. This caused the jittery ferret to run away. Only adding confusion to both his friends and Scarlet. Scarlet feeling a twinge of disappointment.

23. FOOL: "What the hell is wrong with me!? Why couldn't I be normal and tell her that she's pretty looking? Or at least nice looking. God, I'm such an idiot!" Freddy ranted to himself inside his and Peck's stall. He never felt like such a fool until just now.

24. FEELINGS: Why was Freddy feeling this way? He's never really had many crushes except for Inga the Spotted Swedish Ferret and a robot fox girl from a video arcade game place. But...this...this was different from those crushes.

25. SLEEP: The orange ferret decided a good night's sleep would help. Or the lack thereof.

26. DREAM: Freddy shot up from his bean bag bed; wondering how he could dream about Scarlet like that.

'Seriously, what the hell is wrong with me!?' he thought frantically.

27. HEADACHE: When Freddy awoke the next morning, his head was killing him. What the orange ferret didn't realize was that a certain red fox was giving him concerned looks.

28. CLOTH: Feeling a light tap on his shoulder, Freddy turned around to find Scarlet shuffling slightly with a damp washcloth in her small white paws.

"You seemed like you needed it," she explained softly. Handing the washcloth to Freddy, the red fox left quickly before he could thank her.

29. PARTY: As usual, the animals were going to have their nightly party. However a certain crazy ferret wouldn't be joining the festivities that evening.

30. COURAGE: When Freddy finally found Scarlet by the pond, he gathered up all his courage to go talk to her.

31. THANKFUL: "Um...h-hi S-Scarlet," Freddy began nervously. "I...uh...*gulp*...j-just wanted to t-thank you for the washcloth f-for my um...you know h-headache. Oh, and also saying all that nice stuff about me. T-thanks and you know...stuff." Freddy could feel his whole face blushing.

32. SMILE: Scarlet gave Freddy a warm, kind smile.

"You're welcome," she replied.

33. CALM: Pretty soon the two mammals were calm around each other and started chatting with each other.

34. EYES: Freddy had never noticed it before, but Scarlet's eyes were the most beautiful shade of green he'd ever seen in...well ever.

35. DUMB: Freddy wanted to tell Scarlet how gorgeous her eyes were. But all that came out was, "You have pretty eyes." Boy did he feel dumb.

36. SWEET: Scarlet's smile broadened and said, "Freddy, you really are one of the sweetest guys I've ever met. I like you alot."

37. DISBELIEF: "Y-you like m-me?" the jittery ferret asked in disbelief.

Scarlet gave a shy smile, replying softly, "Very much so. Yes."

38. IMPULSE: He didn't mean to. Really he didn't. Honest. Freddy never actually kissed a girl in his life. Not even Inga. It was happening all so fast, and Scarlet was sitting right beside him. Why did he have to be so impulsive?

39. APOLOGIZE: After parting from their first kiss; Freddy apologized to Scarlet almost a billion times. His face a deep crimson.

40. INTERRUPT: "Freddy," Scarlet quietly interrupted.

"Um...y-yeah Scarlet?" Freddy asked, feeling like a jack ass. But that thought fluttered away when Scarlet kissed him on the lips this time. Good thing she interrupted him!
