Chapter 4

60. STARE: It seemed like every animal in the Barnyard was staring at Freddy and Scarlet. But they didn't care.

61. CONGRATULATE: Otis, Pig, Peck and Pip came over to congratulate the ferret and fox on their new relationship.

62. SHY: Scarlet couldn't help but feel a bit shy around Freddy's friends, yet she still felt unsure of herself.

63. REASSURE: When he saw that Scarlet was starting to feel self-conscious, Freddy could see that she was uncomfortable. So he gently squeezed her paw to reassure that he wasn't going to leave her. Ever.

64. TROUBLE: "Hey you guys, look it's the really odd couple," mocked Eddy, leader of the Jersey Cows. "What'cha freaks been up to lately? Oh that's right; swappin' spit!"

"Haha swappin' spit he says," echoed Igg.

"Heheheh I'd hate to see what their future kids would look like. If that fox there weren't too scared of her own shadow to actually get laid; maybe there'd be some hope for ya yet ya crazy ferret," taunted Eddy, poking his hoof into Freddy's chest.

65. PUSH: "S-shut up," trembled Freddy.

"Aw what's the matter? Wittle fewwet gonna cwy?" Eddy pushed on.

"Yeah. Cry ya big baby," said Igg.

"Yeah ya wimpy ferret. Cry!" teased Bud.

66. RAGE: It was coming to a point where the Jersey Cows were severely pissing Freddy off. Rage seethed through the orange ferret. He was irate not because they were taunting him. But more so taunting Scarlet and to her face! What assholes!

67. WARNING: "I-I'm gonna give you guys a final warning. S-shut up...o-or else,"warned Freddy.

Eddy sneered, getting dangerously close to Freddy's face, saying, "Or else what? Ya creepy, mute girlfriend gonna attack me? Phffft...that's a laugh and a half. How pathetic that you think that dumb bit.."

And then everything went dark for Eddy.

68. FIGHT: Freddy was on top of Eddy, beating the shit out of the leader of the Jersey Cows.

"YOU STUPID BASTARD! HOW DARE YOU AND THOSE ASSHOLES YOU CALL FRIENDS SAY THOSE THINGS! YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE HERE DON'T KNOW SCARLET!!" raged Freddy as he punched and clawed Eddy. "DAMN YOU!!! YOU SHOULDN'T MAKE SELFISH ASSUMPTIONS ON HER! SCARLET'S THE BEST THING TO HAPPEN IN MY LIFE!! I'M GLAD TO BE WITH HER!!" Freddy continued, shoving Eddy's face into the ground.

"AND IF YOU OR YOUR DUMBASS FRIENDS MESS WITH HER EVER AGAIN IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE I'LL..."

69. STOP: "S-stop. P-please Freddy j-just s-stop," Scarlet intervened, her red and white face coated with thick tears.

70. REALIZATION: Freddy looked at Eddy, who was bloodied and bruised; moaning in agony. Freddy looked at his paws, which were covered in blood and also sore from the fight.

"Oh my God..." he whispered, realizing he just beat someone up. Both in front of Scarlet and his friends.

71. GUILT: Never in Freddy's life did he feel more guilty than right at that moment.

72. NIGHTMARE: It was as if Freddy was living his own personal nightmare.

73. EMBRACE: Freddy looked as if he were about to have an emotional breakdown, but Scarlet stepped in and embraced him tightly.

74. CRY: Before anyone else knew it, Freddy broke down and started crying. Scarlet looked just as miserable as the ferret and had tears cascading down her muzzle.

75. ROCK: As Freddy wept and Scarlet quietly cried, the two mammals sat in the grass; Scarlet gently rocking Freddy back and forth to soothe him some.

76. ALONE: Otis and the others felt like it was best to leave Freddy and Scarlet alone to cry and talk about what had just occurred. So they left with the unconscious Eddy in tow and Igg and Bud away from the emotional scene.

77. CALM: Pretty soon the two mammals were calm enough to talk with each other.

78. AWKWARD: Although there was a heavy awkward silence between the ferret and fox. Both not knowing what to say to each other.

79. SUGGESTION: Freddy cleared his throat and suggested they go somewhere more private where they could talk and not be disturbed by anyone else. Scarlet agreed and suggested that the forest was the best
