Pulling up at house, I could not help but smile, the white exterior hadn't changed, Bella's truck still sat in the driveway, Charlie parked the cruiser and turned off the engine,
"You ready kid?" Charlie asked smiling, I couldn't find the words so just settled
for a nod and a small smile, Charlie got out and went to the boot to get my
bags, I opened the door and slowly got out, I noticed the curtain twitch in the
living room before the front door opened,
"Iz!" Bella suddenly was running towards me, the force of her body hitting mine made me drop me bag and give a little grunt,
"Bells, Jesus you trying to kill me" I joked as I hugged her back,
"Sorry, I just can't believe you are actually here" Bella said pulling back and grinning,
"Well, I heard my twin was getting married, and I checked my calendar and thought I've got nothing better on so thought I might as well turn up" I said jokily, she looked confused for a second until she realised, I was joking and she gave a little laugh,
"I've really missed you Iz" Bella said smiling,
"Me too Bella, now come on I'm starving" I said as I grabbed my bag off the floor and shut the car door,
"The boys are here, Jake can't wait to see you, and Paul hasn't shut up since he found out you were on your way" Bella said as she linked my arm and walked towards the house with me, I smiled to myself realising how easy this was feeling, Bella opened the door and dragged me inside, the place was basically set up like a party, Welcome Home IzaDora! the banner that looked like it was designer was hung above the tv and lots of pastel balloons lined nearly every wall, I turned to her confused,
"Alice, she said even though you're not ready to see them, she couldn't let you arrive home without a big fuss" Bella whispered to me, I smiled and nodded, typical Alice,
"Izzy!" a heard a group of voice all shout and then thing I knew I was being squashed in the middle of a group of overgrown tall wolves,
"Guys! you're killing me" I said laughing, they all laughed but let me go,
"Nar, Paul already tried that, and he didn't succeed thank god" Jake said laughing,
"Hey!" I heard a voice snap from behind him,
"Jake" I warned as I stepped towards Paul,
"Long time no see Swan" Paul said rubbing the back of his neck, I knew he was nervous to see me,
"You too Lahote" I said smiling and hugged him without a second thought, I felt him tense, before slowly hugging me back,
"I'm sorry" Paul whispered into my ear,
"Paul, there is nothing to be sorry for, I'm fine" I said looking him straight in the eyes, Paul nodded and seemed to calm down a bit,
"Paul stop hogging Izzy, I haven't seen her yet" I heard a familiar voice say, I turned to see a familiar face,
"Seth? Jesus, when did you start on steroids?" I said joking, the pack laughed knowing the inside joke,
"Just after dad, I was upset and angry and bam I'm like this" Seth said proudly, I smiled sadly at the mention of Harry,
"How's your mom and Leah?" I asked as I gave him a little hug,
"Mom is doing well, she can't wait to see you and Leah, she is still as angry and
bitter" Seth said laughing, I smiled knowing the feeling,
"I will pop by and see her this week sometime" I said, I knew Leah was having a tough time especially since transforming and having Sam and Emily thrown in her face every day,
"Now tell us everything, what have you been doing for the past year?" Sam said smiling at me in his big brother way, I smiled and sat down on the sofa before catching up with everything that had gone on in the past year.
I finally finished unpacking my bag before sitting on the bed, I glanced around the new room, the pastel purple theme extended into my room which had been totally redecorated, another Alice project I thought to myself, a knock brought me out of my thoughts,
"Iz? Can I come in?" Bella's voice came from the other side of the door,
"Course you can" I responded, Bella opened the door and walked in, I scooted up the bed and patted the bed, Bella smiled, came, and sat down,
"I really am glad your back Iz" Bella said smiling,
"Me too Bells, sorry I was gone for so long" I said smiling sadly at her,
"No, I understand, I wanted to apologise actually" Bella started, I looked at her
confused,
"When they left I was in a really bad place, and you were always there for me, I
didn't think about how you must have been hurting, then the incident happened and I had never been as scared of anything in my life thinking I was going to lose you, I just keep thinking of how if I hadn't pushed the Jake thing, you wouldn't have been hurt" Bella explained, I grabbed her hand,
"Bella, listen to me, nothing was your fault, everyone deals with things different, I needed the distraction and I'm your twin I will always be there for you, the accident with Paul was just that, an accident, it would have happened at some point with his anger issues most likely" I Joked knowing Bella wasn't his biggest fan, Bella nodded,
"he really was messed up after it happened, Jake said he was really worried about him and one point, then Edward came back and I just felt I was finally getting, my life back but I never wanted to lose you in the process" Bella said, I
sighed knowing I had done good being home about five hours before I was made to talk about them,
"Bella, you didn't lose me, I just needed time, I still wasn't over Emmett and honestly
I probably never will be, he was my first love and I thought my soul mate at
that time but it wasn't just that, I lost my best friend and felt the rug had
been ripped from under my feet, then after everything with Paul, he pulled away so I lost my best friend all over again, I needed time to myself to heal and process everything" I tried to explain the best I could,
"And have you? healed I mean?" Bella asked as she glanced down towards my leg that was folded under myself, I nodded,
"Nearly, just the scar that's left, but Bella I feel like I need to be honest with you, even though I'm here and back, give me time it's going to take me a while to adjust and especially with the Cullens" I said honestly,
"I know Alice said you weren't ready to see them, Jasper was crushed and well Emmett, I'm sure you can imagine" Bella said, I looked at her confused,
"Imagine what? Bella, him and me are over, that was his decision the second he left this bed after that night without a word to me, it went from the best
night of my life to the worse all in the space of three hours" I said thinking
back to my birthday night, Bella looked confused before a look of shock came
across her face,
"Wait Iz, are you saying? you and Emmett" Bella said not wanting to say the words, I nodded slightly,
"I never knew, does anyone know?" Bella asked, I shook my head,
"I don't think so, unless Alice saw anything, it was kind of in the moment thing, but then he was just gone" I explained playing with my hands, I stopped and looked up for a minute,
"You better go, Edward is waiting for you" I said smiling, Bella looked confused
before suddenly there was a slight knock on the window, I took a deep breath,
got off the bed, and opened the window, Edward quickly climbed in,
"How did you know?" he asked confused, honestly, I didn't have a clue, I shrugged,
"It's good to see you Izadora and I'm sorry about my brother we honestly didn't know" Edward said as Bella got up and stood by his side, I shrugged,
"Congratulations too one the wedding your stuck with her forever now" I joked trying to change the subject,
"forever and always" Edward beamed as he kissed Bella on the top of the head, the words
were like a blow to the stomach but I quickly put up a Stoney exterior front,
Bella and Edward quickly left before I felt myself reach for the one thing I
hadn't and couldn't part with, the locket sat under my shirt at all times,
hidden away from the world, as much as I hated Emmett, truly I knew he wouldn't always be right there front and centre in my memories.
