It was early in the morning, around 4:30 AM. A young boy was just waking up. He was in an alley that was in a village in the Kingdom of Enchancia. He looked around before getting up and leaving the alley. He then went to an open field and started to do some exercises. He started with push-ups, then moved on to sit-ups, lunges, reverse lunges, squat thrusts, crunches, and countless others. He then did some stretches to help him recover before running around the open field. As he did that, someone was watching him from afar. It was around 5:30 AM at this point. From the castle, far off from the village, Princess Sofia was watching the boy through a telescope. A knock came from her door and it opened to reveal Baileywick, the Castle Steward.

"You're awake early, Sofia. Doing some stargazing before the sun comes up?" He asked. Sofia shook her head and motioned Baileywick over.

"Take a look." She said. Baileywick walked over and looked through the telescope, seeing the boy now practicing some martial arts.

"Hmm," he said, "I don't see the significance of watching him."

"He's done this for the past five months in a row," Princess Sofia said, "if not more!" That sent Baileywick on alert.

"You suspect he's orphaned?" He asked.

"I don't know. Every time someone from the castle approaches him," Princess Sofia said, "whether they're with the Royal Guard or not, he immediately runs off at a rate to where they can't catch him. If he is living on his own, I'm worried he'll resort to stealing just to afford food."

"Have you tried approaching him yourself?" Baileywick asked.

"He'll recognize me as a Princess and run." Princess Sofia said.

"You should get dressed. Breakfast will be served soon." Baileywick said. Princess Sofia nodded and started getting dressed.

[Moments later….]

King Roland, Queen Miranda, Prince James, Princess Amber, and Princess Sofia were all walking in the village. Every villager was lined up, smiling brightly. No one noticed someone was on a rooftop, aiming a crossbow at Princess Sofia. The wielder grinned as he got a shot.

"Time for you to see your father again." The man said. Princess Sofia was completely unaware, but the young boy she was watching this morning was running towards her. The Royal Guards started surrounding Princess Sofia, but the boy got through them.

"GET DOWN!" He yelled. He tackled Princess Sofia down as the crossbow wielder shot, the bolt hitting and killing a Guardsman instead. Everyone gasped, the Royal Family dazed and in a trance, and the crossbow wielder jumped down with a knife. The boy glared and blocked his attack by shielding Princess Sofia, taking the attack in her place and being stabbed in the back. The boy gave a pained look, but kicked the wielder back, causing the knife to be removed. Before the assailant could attack again, the remaining Guardsmen surrounded him.

"Drop your weapon!" One ordered. The man glared before throwing the knife into the throat of one and drawing a sword, attacking the others. The boy glared before grabbing a sword from a fallen Guardsman and charging the man's blind spot. The man was grinning, but it was short lived as the boy stabbed the man from behind, impaling him with the sword. The boy then removed the sword and the assailant fell forward, having died from the stab. The boy then dropped the sword and collapsed, causing the villagers to gasp. Princess Sofia ran to the boy, worried.

"Are you okay? Can you hear me?! Say something!" She said. The boy just looked at her with a sorrowful expression, not saying a word.

"Don't worry… about me." He spoke.

"What?" Princess Sofia asked.

"This is… my punishment… for taking… a life." The boy said. Princess Sofia gasped in shock and fear.

"Y-you didn't have a choice! That man… he was going to kill you! He was going to kill ME! You saved my life!" She said.

"At the… cost of… my own." The boy said.

"No! I won't let you!" Princess Sofia exclaimed.

"I'm… too… far… gone." The boy said.

"No! Stop talking now! Save your energy!" Princess Sofia said.

"I have… only… one… regret." The boy said.

"No! Stop talking!" Princess Sofia pleaded.

"I… regret… not… stopping… that… man… sooner." The boy said, his eyes closing. Princess Sofia gasped and started putting pressure on the boy's wound. She looked around, panicked.

"Is anyone a doctor?! We need a doctor!" Princess Sofia said. King Roland then ran to Princess Sofia, finally out of his trance, and snapped his fingers.

"Guards! Send for medics!" He ordered. This stunned Princess Sofia.

"D-Dad?" She asked.

"Your Majesty, you can't be serious! This is preposterous! He's a commoner!" A guard said.

"This commoner put his life on the line to save Princess Sofia," King Roland said, "and he's on death's door because of it! He did YOUR job! Now send for medics!" The others snapped out of it and ran over.

"Is he okay?!" Princess Amber asked.

"How deep is the wound?!" Prince James asked.

"Why are the guards just standing there?! We need a medic!" Queen Miranda exclaimed. Princess Sofia was keeping pressure on the wound, her hands covered in the boy's blood. Prince James saw this and soon gave a serious look. He then looked at the guards.

"This boy is hurt," he spoke, "and you're just gonna let him die?! Look at Sofia! She's trying to keep him alive, and you're not doing anything!"

"He's a simple commoner!" A guard said.

"I DON'T GIVE A DAMN!" Prince James yelled, stunning everyone.

"James!" Queen Miranda exclaimed.

"This boy saved the life of my sister," Prince James said, "and said sister is trying to keep him alive! Her hands are covered in his blood, and he's told her that this was his PUNISHMENT! I don't give a damn if he's a commoner or not! Stop standing their with your thumbs up your asses and GET THE DAMN MEDICS!"

"Y-y-y-y-y-y-yes, Your Majesty!" A guard exclaimed, running towards the castle. Prince James then ran over to one of the villagers.

"Do you have something that could help stop the bleeding? Some cloth or a towel?" He asked.

"Honey! Get the towels!" The villager exclaimed. Someone then ran out with their arms full of towels and Prince James took them before going to Princess Sofia.

"Let me, Sofia." He said. Princess Sofia then looked as Prince James knelt down and held one of the towels in his hands. Princess Sofia had tears in her eyes.

"Promise me you'll try and keep him alive." She said.

"This boy saved your life with no regard to his own. Far as I'm concerned," Prince James said, "he's a hero." Princess Sofia nodded and Prince James quickly put a towel over the wound and Princess Sofia removed her hands. She walked back as her two friends from the village ran to her and hugged her, being mindful of the blood on her hands. They said nothing as Princess Sofia started shedding her tears. The guard returned with some medics and they got to work.

[Two hours later….]

Princess Sofia was outside of the castle infirmary. She was worried for the boy that saved her life. She thought back to all those times he was in that field, all those times he was exercising. Was this why he did it? Is this why he did all those exercises? She had so many thoughts running through her head, but she was dragged out of them when the door opened. She saw the castle doctor and ran to them.

"Is he okay? Will he make it?!" She asked. The doctor gave a sigh before looking serious.

"I won't lie. He might not survive the night. We managed to stop his bleeding," they said, "but he lost a lot before we got to him. I've heard from the villagers that he lost his family to bandits five months ago. You might be the last person he ever sees. Say what you have to. He's knocking on the door to Heaven, and someone might be answering." Princess Sofia walked in and gasped as she saw the state he was in. His wound was covered, as was his body, and he was unconscious. She walked over as the others in the room left. She heard the door close and felt tears forming again. She gently grabbed his hand before giving a shaky breath.

"You said that you dying was a punishment for taking a life," she spoke, "but you took that life to save mine. I…. I know what you do in the mornings. Those exercises you do, the running, all of it. If this is why you had done it, then you don't deserve to die. You deserve to live. I don't know if you can hear me, but…. I need to say this. Thank you for saving my life. I…. I really appreciate it." She leaned over and kissed the boy's cheek, a single tear falling on him. She then unknowingly had placed two fingers on his wrist and felt his pulse. She shed more tears as she felt the pulse fade away. She then placed her head on his chest to hear his heartbeat. Her tears were nearly flowing as she heard his heart slowly stop beating. Three beats a minute… two beats a minute… one beat per minute… one beat… silence. She looked at the boy's face and more tears fell. Her hand still on his, she felt all the warmth of his body leave.

'No! This… this can't be happening!' She thought. More tears fell and she felt her chest tighten. All the heat in his body began to fade.

"No… please, no!" She pleaded.

'He can't die! Not like this!' She thought. She put her head on his chest again and more tears fell. She climbed on him quickly and felt his chest, arms, legs, and hands. She then placed a hand on his face and gasped. He was stone cold all over. She got off him, standing beside him once more. The boy who saved her, who she watched perform exercises for five months; who lost his family to bandits; the boy she developed a fondness for… was dead. Tears fell on him as Princess Sofia gave light sobs. She felt her chest tighten further, and she clenched her eyes. She heard the door open and heard a slight gasp. That moment, the moment someone saw her in tears… was her breaking point.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" She wailed. The one who entered then ran in and hugged her tight. She recognized who it was: King Roland. She gripped her step-father tight and cried into him.

"It's okay, Sofia. Shhhhhhhh… it's okay." He said, comforting her.

"He was all alone! He didn't have anyone! Why did he have to die protecting me?! WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE BEFORE I COULD GET HIS NAME?!" Sofia wailed.

"Let it out, Sofia. Let it out." King Roland said. He heard footsteps and looked towards them, seeing Queen Miranda with Princess Amber and Prince James. Before they could ask, King Roland gave a solemn look before lowering his head and slowly shaking it. Princess Amber gasped and Queen Miranda ran to King Roland to help comfort Princess Sofia.

[Days later….]

Princess Sofia was sitting on her bed, holding her knees to her chest. There was a knock at her door, but she didn't answer.

"Sofia? It's Miss Fauna. I'm coming in." A voice said. The door opened and Fauna came in before closing the door. Princess Sofia didn't say a word, and never looked her way. Fauna then sat next to Princess Sofia, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"They told you what happened." Princess Sofia spoke.

"They did. I can't imagine how you must feel." Fauna said. She then went to open Princess Sofia's curtains, but stopped as she caught sight of something on the floor: an empty wine bottle. Fauna looked at Princess Sofia before catching sight of another empty wine bottle on her nightstand.

"It's all my fault. If we never went for a walk in the village that day," Princess Sofia said, "then he would still be alive."

"Sofia," Fauna spoke, concerned, "have you been drinking?"

"So what if I have? I'm responsible for someone dying. I might not have stabbed him," Princess Sofia said, "but I'm the reason he's dead."

"I'm getting your parents. This has to stop!" Fauna said.

"I wonder how he felt after getting stabbed. Maybe it would have been best if I had died that day." Princess Sofia said. Fauna gasped before flying over to Princess Sofia and using her wand to light up the room. She gasped as she saw Princess Sofia's gown and sheets were stained red. She looked for the source and saw that Princess Sofia had slit her wrists.

"Medic! MEDIIIIIIIIIIC!" Fauna yelled, panicked.

[One hour later….]

King Roland and Queen Miranda were sitting outside the castle infirmary. The doctor stepped out and they stood up.

"How is she?" Queen Miranda asked.

"She's gonna be fine. The bleeding wasn't as bad as it seemed. What concerns me is that Miss Fauna found empty wine bottles in Princess Sofia's room." The doctor said.

"What?!" Queen Miranda asked.

"She ingested quite a bit. It looks like her wrists were accidentally cut as she was opening another bottle." The doctor said.

"Thank you." King Roland said. The doctor then left and Queen Miranda looked at scared.

"What are we gonna do?" She asked.

"I don't know." King Roland said.

Meanwhile, Princess Sofia was sleeping in the infirmary. As she slept, the Amulet of Avalor started glowing. Time then reversed itself.

" Save him!" A voice whispered.

'Huh?' Princess Sofia thought.

" Save him!" The voice spoke again.

'Who is that?' Princess Sofia thought.

" SAVE HIM!" The voice boomed. Princess Sofia then jerked awake and sat up, looking around in a panic.

'A dream?' She thought. She then looked outside and looked through the telescope, gasping when she saw the boy.

"This is day the boy saved me. I wasn't dreaming," she said, "I was traveling! I got sent back in time!"

'This is my chance to talk to him!' Princess Sofia thought. She quickly got dressed and ran out, going past Baileywick.

"Sofia?" He asked.

"Can't talk now! I'll explain later!" Princess Sofia asked. She then ran out of the castle and towards the open field. When she got there, the boy had just started working on his martial arts. He stopped when he heard her and looked.

'I have to talk to him!' Princess Sofia thought. The boy gasped when he saw Princess Sofia and started to run.

"Wait," she said, "I just want to talk! I'm not gonna hurt you." The boy stopped and looked at her. She slowly approached him and he was stunned.

'She looks beautiful. She has to be a Princess!' The boy thought. Princess Sofia stopped when she got close enough and held out her hand.

"I'm Sofia. What's your name?" Princess Sofia asked. The boy cautiously took Princess Sofia's hand and shook it.

"Seth. My name is Seth McGarrett, Your Majesty." The boy spoke. Princess Sofia gave a soft smile before looking around.

'It doesn't look like I was followed.' She thought. She let go of Seth's hand and looked at him.

"How long have you been coming here in the mornings?" She asked.

"Everyday for the past five months." Seth said.

"What about your parents?" Princess Sofia asked.

"Murdered by bandits right before my eyes." Seth said.

"Where do you live then?" Princess Sofia asked.

"On the streets. I sleep in alleys." Seth said.

"What do you do for food?" Princess Sofia asked.

"I haven't ate or drank since last week." Seth said. Princess Sofia gasped and shook her head.

"That's no good! You need to eat something everyday!" She exclaimed.

"I can't afford it." Seth said.

"Then come with me. I'll talk to my parents and see if you can eat with us." Princess Sofia said. Seth tensed up.

"G-go with you?! T-to the castle?!" Seth asked, scared.

"What's wrong?" Princess Sofia asked.

"The bandits who killed my parents are still at large. Who's to say they weren't Royal Guards in disguise?!" Seth asked.

'So that's why he keeps running from the guards!' Princess Sofia thought.

"I won't let them harm you." She spoke. Seth was hesitant at first, but soon nodded. Princess Sofia held out her hand and Seth cautiously took it. The two then started walking towards the castle. When they got there, Baileywick was standing outside.

"I was wondering where you ran off to." He said. Seth looked around and had fear in his eyes as he saw two Royal Guards approach. Before they could reach Princess Sofia, she held up a hand. The two stopped and went to attention.

"The boy with me is a guest," she said, "and he's been living on the streets for the past five months because his parents were killed in front of him by bandits. Those bandits are still out there, and he fears that they might be Royal Guards in disguise. I ask that you relay this message to all those in the Royal Guard, and I want the case file brought to the dining hall." The two guards saluted and turned back. Seth eased up a bit and Baileywick knelt down.

"Now I know what you mean when you said you'll explain later." He said.

"He hasn't eaten in a week, Baileywick. I offered him to eat with us." Princess Sofia said.

"I see. Follow me." Baileywick said.

[A few moments later….]

The doors to the dining hall opened and Baileywick walked in with Seth and Princess Sofia. King Roland looked and was confused.

"What's going on, Baileywick? Did Sofia get a boyfriend and we not know?" He asked.

"He's not my boyfriend." Princess Sofia said.

"Like I stand a chance with a Princess anyways." Seth muttered, speaking under his breath.

"This is Seth. He's been living on the streets for the past five months." Princess Sofia said.

"On the streets?!" Princess Amber asked.

"His parents were killed by bandits and he witnessed the whole thing, Amber! Show some compassion!" Princess Sofia exclaimed. Princess Amber gasped before looking ashamed.

"I've heard from some guards that he's hid from them whenever they try to talk to him." Queen Miranda said.

"Because the bandits that killed his parents are still out there," Princess Sofia said, "and he's scared that they might be Royal Guards in disguise."

"Why is he here though?" Prince James asked.

"Because he hasn't eaten anything in a week," Princess Sofia said, "and I offered him to join us for breakfast. Is that okay, Mom? Dad?"

"I don't see why not." Queen Miranda spoke.

"Then it's settled. Have a seat, you two. Breakfast will be ready soon." King Roland said. Seth let go of Princess Sofia's hand and bowed.

"Thank you, Your Majesty." He said. He then sat down and Princess Sofia sat next to him. Breakfast was served not long after. Princess Amber looked as if she were expecting Seth to eat like a slob. However, she was stunned because he ate as if he had dinner the previous night.

"How is it?" Princess Sofia asked. Seth swallowed and nodded.

"It's delicious." He said.

"You eat rather refined for someone who hasn't eaten in a week." Princess Amber said.

"When in the presence of royalty," Seth said, "one must be refined and polite. No matter how hungry one is, they must eat with respect."

"Who taught you that?" Prince James asked. Seth looked solemn.

"My dad." He spoke. Prince James dropped his fork and facepalmed.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to bring that up!" He said.

"It's fine. He taught me a lot. He had applied for the Enchancia Guard. He was accepted. A few days later…." Seth said, trailing at the end.

"He and your mom were killed." Princess Sofia said.

"My mom taught me a lot, too. She taught me to read, write. She even taught me to play the guitar." Seth said.

"Really?!" Princess Sofia asked.

"Yeah. If I had one of my own," Seth said, "I'd demonstrate."

"I think we have one somewhere." Queen Miranda said.

"I can have one of the servants grab it." Baileywick said. A guard then walked in and went towards Princess Sofia, holding a box. They placed it in front of her and she nodded.

"Thank you." She said. The guard nodded and walked off.

"What's that?" Prince James asked.

"The case file on Seth's parents' murders." Princess Sofia said. Princess Amber gasped.

"Why do you want to look at it?" King Roland askes.

"Because I want to give Seth some closure." Princess Sofia said. She opened the box and looked inside. She gasped when she did and turned it upside down. Nothing fell out.

"It's empty!" Prince James said.

"Does that mean it was solved?" Princess Amber asked.

"No. It means it was stolen." King Roland said, his tone grim. Seth tensed up, looking like he was about to run. However, Princess Sofia grabbed his hand and gave him a calming look.

"I won't let anything happen to you." She said.

"Baileywick," King Roland said, "get me the Captain of the Guard."

"Right away, Your Majesty." Baileywick said.

"I should go." Seth said, scared.

"No, Seth. You deserve to know the truth." Princess Sofia said. Seth was going to speak again, but stopped as Princess Sofia pulled him into a hug. Seth was stunned at first, but soon returned the embrace. Seth heard the doors open and gasped as he felt an aura. He looked and saw the Captain of the Guard.

'No,' Seth thought, 'it… it can't be!' The Captain of the Guard approached King Roland and gave a salute.

"Reporting as ordered, Your Majesty!" He spoke. Seth's blood ran cold.

'That voice!' He thought.

"What is the meaning of this? You have an empty case file! I want an explanation!" King Roland said.

"I'm afraid the contents were lost, Your Majesty." The Captain said. Seth glared and let Princess Sofia go before jumping on the table.

"LIAR!" He yelled. Seth then tackled the Captain down and drew the Captain's sword, holding it against the Captain's throat.

"AAAAAAH!" Princess Amber screamed.

"Seth!" Princess Sofia exclaimed. The Captain gasped at that name and paled.

"What's wrong with you?! This is the Captain of the Royal Guard! He's the one who worked your parents' murders!" King Roland said, jumping up to pull Seth off.

"HE MURDERED MY PARENTS!" Seth yelled. Everyone in the room, including Princess Sofia, gasped in shock. Princess Sofia then slowly approached and had tears in her eyes.

"W-what?" She asked.

"I told you that my parents were murdered in front of me five months ago. I've always remembered the voice of the man responsible," Seth said, "and the aura emanating from him! This man murdered my parents and STOLE my mother's most prized possession!" Queen Miranda then stood up and approached.

"What was your mother's most prized possession?" She asked. Seth then grabbed a ring from inside the Captain's pocket and held it up.

"Her wedding ring." Seth said. The Captain looked as pale as a ghost.

"Then the file is empty not because everything was stolen," Prince James said, "but because-."

"He destroyed all the evidence that could incriminate him." Seth said, finishing the sentence. The Captain tried to move, but stopped as Seth held the sword closer to his throat. King Roland then approached, having a menacing glare on his face.

"Who was your partner?" He asked. The Captain shook in fear before Seth glared intensely through the Captain.

"WHO WAS YOUR PARTNER?!" Seth boomed.

"An assassin named Shelly! He lives in the village!" The Captain exclaimed.

"WHERE IN THE VILLAGE?!" Seth demanded.

"I spoke to him at a bar," the Captain said, "he told me where to meet him! That's all I know, man! That's all I know!"

"WHERE IS HE?!" Seth screamed.

"I don't knooooow!" The Captain exclaimed.

"WHERE?!" Seth demanded.

"Kill me, man! Just FUCKING kill me!" The Captain exclaimed. Seth gave a look like he was about to, but got off and threw the sword between the Captain's legs, the blade sticking into the floor near the Captain's crotch.

"That would make me no better than you." Seth said. Two guards then rushed in and picked the Captain up before hauling him off. King Roland looked at Seth.

"Looks like I need to find a new Captain." He said.

"Not until Shelly is found. Thankfully," Seth said, "we have a solid lead."

"Huh?" King Roland asked.

"Your former Captain of the Guard said he met Shelly at a bar," Seth said, having a slight grin on his face "and there's only ONE bar frequented by both villagers AND the Royal Guard." Queen Miranda gasped and King Roland gave a slight grin. Princess Sofia's eyes widened in realization before she, King Roland, and Seth looked at each other.

"The Royal Village Tavern!" The three said.

"I'll send some guards there." King Roland said.

"Too obvious. I'll go in." Seth said.

"You're underage!" Queen Miranda said.

"I might be underage," Seth said, looking at her seriously, "but sending in guards that are on duty is just asking for trouble. There's a chance that Shelly is always armed. He smells trouble, he'll fight or flee. If he flees, I can keep up because of my agility. However, the guards can't."

"! That's how you're able to get away from the guards so fast!" Princess Sofia said.

"I trust you, Seth. I'll have some guards posted there in regular clothes." King Roland said.

"That way they blend in. Smart." Seth said.

"What should the signal be for them to move in?" King Roland asked. Seth thought a bit before looking serious.

"I tap twice on the table and say that I'm ready to pay my tab." Seth said. King Roland nodded and Princess Sofia grabbed Seth's hand again. He looked at her and she kissed his cheek.

"That's for good luck." She spoke. Before he could say anything else, Princess Sofia quickly kissed Seth on the lips, stunning him and everyone there. The moment she broke the kiss, Seth looked at her in shock.

"What was that for?" He asked. Princess Sofia blushed slightly before smiling.

"To tell you that you have someone waiting for you to return." She said.

'Sweet Mother of Christ. Does she have feelings for me?!' Seth thought. Princess Sofia gave a slight giggle before letting go of Seth's hand and walking away.

[Two hours later….]

Seth was sitting at a table in the Royal Village Tavern, sipping on a tankard of grape juice. However, the owner of the place knew Seth from when he first started his morning exercise routine, and was filled in on the plan. The owner consented to it and played along by serving "alcohol" to Seth in order to fool their target. Seth finished his tankard and sighed before someone walked up and sat down.

"You seem to be down about something, friend. Is there something I can help with?" A voice asked. Seth looked and saw a man wearing a hood.

"I don't even know you. What in Hell do you want?" Seth asked, slurring his speech to appear drunk.

"I could ask you the same. You look as if you want someone dead." The man spoke.

"The only one I want dead is the one responsible for killing my parents. They were killed five months ago. The Royal Guard hasn't done shit to find their killer." Seth said. He then held up his tankard and the owner nodded. The man gave a look and sighed.

"I was contracted to kill someone related to that. I can be of assistance to you." He said.

"How so? You sayin' there's more than one?!" Seth asked, keeping his act up. The man sighed before putting something on the table. Seth looked at it and recognized the insignia.

"You can stop pretending." The man said. Seth gave a look before glaring.

"What makes someone from the Royal Court of Wei-Ling interested in a five month old double murder?" Seth asked, not buying the act the man put up. The man grinned before putting the item away.

"You caught my bluff quick. Even inebriated you're senses are sharp. Why is a kid like you drinking in a place like this anyways?" The man asked. The owner walked by and placed another tankard down. This time, however, it was apple cider.

"I have no home, no family, no friends, and I barely have the clothes I'm wearing now. I'm having to live off scraps. What would you do in my position, huh?!" Seth asked. He then drank the whole tankard of cider in one go, not taking a breath until he set it down. The man was stunned.

"You have a problem. I have the solution to it." He spoke.

"Spare me the religious gobbledygook! Belch I'm not interested!" Seth said, his speech more slurred.

"Who is in charge of your parents' finances?" The man asked.

"Why do you want to know?" Seth asked.

"Because I can 'persuade' him to give you what you should have already had." The man said.

"I know what you're trying to say. You're asking me if I want him dead." Seth asked. The owner then set another tankard down and walked away. However, he didn't realize that it was a tankard of HARD apple cider.

"I'll only take just a small amount as payment." The man said. Seth then grabbed the tankard and drank it until it was empty.

"Keep talking." Seth spoke.

"You just say the word and I'll make sure that guy gives you what you're owed," the man said, "and I'll be sure to add interest." Seth feigned pondering over it before giving a serious look.

"You won't go back on it, will you?" He asked.

"On my honor as a gentleman." The man said.

"What's your name, rogue?" Seth asked. The man smiled and placed a large sack of coins on the table.

"You can call me Shelly." The man said. Seth then held his stomach and tapped twice on the table.

"I'm ready to pay my tab." Seth said, getting up. As Seth walked away, four men approached the table and forced the man up. Seth then held his stomach again before holding his mouth and running out to the back of the Tavern. The moment he got out the door, he stumbled over himself and fell before crawling behind a bush and hurling. The owner ran out and approached him.

"Sorry, Seth. I-I-I made a mistake! I accidentally gave you hard cider instead of normal cider!" The owner said. Seth caught his breath and spit.

"Just get me some water so I can rinse my mouth out." Seth said, practically groaning.

[One hour later….]

Seth was lying down on a bed in the castle infirmary, holding his head. King Roland then walked in and approached.

"I heard what had happened." He said.

"Here to call me an idiot, Your Majesty?" Seth asked.

"No," King Roland said, "I'm here to tell you that Shelly confessed to everything. When I told him that you were faking it, he couldn't believe it. Said you fooled him pretty good."

"Guess I can't hold up my liquor to help my acting." Seth said. King Roland laughed a bit before clearing his throat.

"Sorry. Sorry. I shouldn't laugh at that." King Roland said. Seth groaned and closed his eyes. The moment he did, Princess Sofia walked in and had two pills with a glass of water. Seth opened his eyes and looked at her before she held out the pills.

"Here. These should help." She said.

"What is that?" Seth asked.

"Acetaminophen." Princess Sofia said. Seth took the two pills and grabbed the glass from Princess Sofia before drinking the entire glass.

"Easy! You don't want to make your headache worse." King Roland said. Seth sighed before sitting up.

"I should get going. I've caused you enough trouble." Seth said. Princess Sofia shook her head before holding Seth's hand.

"I'm not letting you sleep in an alley." She said.

"Neither am I. Until I can arrange a suitable room for you," King Roland said, "you'll be staying in James' room with him."

"No," Princess Sofia said, "he'll be staying with me. I'm the one who brought him here as a guest." King Roland went to say something, but stopped and thought about it.

"Fair point." He said.

"Come on, Seth. You need to lie on something a bit softer than this." Princess Sofia said.

"This was actually the softest thing I've laid on in five months." Seth said.

"What were you sleeping on in the alleys?" King Roland asked.

"Cobblestone." Seth said. King Roland went to speak, but stopped as he realized it.

"I'll have a chiropractor visit tomorrow." King Roland said.

"No need. My back is fine." Seth said.

"Come on. I'll show you to my room." Princess Sofia said. As Seth and Princess Sofia left, King Roland couldn't help but wonder.

"Maybe I can do something about this." He muttered, making sure Seth and Princess Sofia didn't hear. The two walked out of the infirmary, only to be met with a guard standing in their way.

"I beg your pardon, Your Majesty. This boy must leave immediately." He said.

"He'll be staying the night. Let us pass." Princess Sofia said. Seth then went on alert and glared to his right.

"GET DOWN!" He yelled. Seth then forced Princess Sofia on the ground as a crossbow bolt nearly struck her. The guard was stunned.

"Are you alright, Your Majesty?!" He asked. Seth glared further and saw someone charging with a dagger.

"The Amulet will be MINE!" The assailant said. Seth stood in a defensive stance and blocked the swing before striking the assailant in the chest. Seth then grabbed the wrist of the assailant and twisted their arm, causing them to scream and drop the dagger. Seth then caught it, spun around while still holding the assailant, and struck the assailant with the hilt of the dagger in the back of their neck. Seth then released the assailant and they fell forward, unconscious. Seth then dropped the dagger and looked at the guard.

"Any objections to me staying now?" He asked. The guard tensed up and moved to the assailant.

"No objections! I'll be taking the intruder to the dungeons now!" He said.

"You'd best." Seth said. The guard then picked the assailant up and walked off towards the dungeons. Seth then held out a hand to Princess Sofia. Princess Sofia took the hand and he helped her up. She then lunged forward and kissed Seth, causing him to nearly lose his footing. She then broke the kiss and blushed slightly.

"Thank you for saving me." She said.

"Not necessary." Seth said. What they didn't know is that King Roland saw the whole thing and knew EXACTLY what he needed to do.

[Three hours later….]

Everyone from the village was gathered at the stairs of the castle. Bugles then played as King Roland, Queen Miranda, Prince James, Princess Amber, and Princess Sofia walked out. They smiled brightly and the bugles were lowered as King Roland stepped forwards.

"Citizens of Enchancia! Today is a momentous occasion! Earlier this morning," he spoke, "Princess Sofia had introduced herself to a young boy in the village. This boy was living on the streets for five months because his parents had been slain in front of his very eyes. The culprits have been apprehended, but that is not why I have gathered you all here. For that, I pass this on to Princess Sofia." Princess Sofia then stepped forward and softly cleared her throat.

"The same boy who was living on the streets of your village," she spoke, "and slept in your alleys, saved my life from an intruder just three hours ago. He never accepted any type of reward, nor did he accept my thanks. He showed a type of selflessness that was demonstrated in those who serve in the Royal Guard. I now ask this boy to step out and join us." Seth then stepped out and joined them, looking serious. The villagers softly mumbled. Princess Sofia stood next to him and discreetly held his hand.

"What's going on?" Seth muttered.

"You'll see." Princess Sofia whispered, smiling. She then walked him to a pedestal and he stood on it.

"This boy has been our guest," King Roland said, "but I've noticed something about him. Because of his keen senses, his drive to protect others, and his caring nature towards those he considers friends; I looked into his family. This boy is descended from Makarov McGarrett, the founder of the Enchancia Guard!" Seth was stunned.

'Say WHAT?!' He thought.

"Makarov never married," King Roland said, "but he did have children. However, because of his status, this was NEVER made public. When Makarov died, he was posthumously given the Royal Title of Prince by my ancestor. To learn that this boy is one of Makarov's descendants, it brings me joy. What brings me greater joy is that he's earned the heart of Princess Sofia, despite introducing herself earlier today. I sense untapped potential within this boy. With that, I'm grateful that he came into our lives today." Princess Sofia smiled sweetly, not noticing the Amulet of Avalor glowing bright. Seth noticed it and gasped.

"P-Princess Sofia! Y-your amulet!" He said. She looked and gasped before looking around. Seth then went on alert and time seemed to slow as he turned to look behind him. He saw Shelly and the former Captain of the Guard with daggers saw they were charging. His instincts kicked in and he lunged into Princess Sofia, both he and her going to the ground as a crossbow bolt whizzed by his head, narrowly avoiding him and going into Shelly's arm. Time went to normal and Shelly screamed and the former Captain glared at Seth.

"I thought they were in the dungeon!" Princess Amber said. Princess Sofia and Seth quickly got up and Seth looked at her seriously.

"Stay near your family! No matter what happens, don't interfere!" He said. He then glared to his left and pushed Princess Sofia towards King Roland, who caught her before she hit the ground.

"But-!"

"No! You can't talk me out of this! I don't want to see anyone who cares about me getting hurt!" Seth interrupted. He then dodged a strike from the former Captain and used him as a shield as another crossbow bolt went towards him.

"GWOARGH!" He exclaimed, the bolt hitting him in the heart and killing him. Seth then threw the formed Captain down and saw Shelly about to kill an archer. He looked towards the entrance and saw the Elite Royal Guard. They looked at him and he gave a single order.

"PROTECT THE ROYAL FAMILY!" He boomed. They all nodded and formed a perimeter around King Roland and the others. Members of the Enchancia Guard ran past them to look for the crossbow sniper, and Seth ran to Shelly so fast he couldn't stop him. Princess Sofia was stunned as she saw Seth fighting to protect her and her family. The Amulet of Avalor started glowing brighter and she gasped, looking at it. She looked towards Seth again and was speechless as she saw someone standing on the pedestal. King Roland was about to speak to her, but stopped as he looked towards the pedestal and saw the person.

"Makarov?" He asked. The person looked to King Roland and nodded before looking at Princess Sofia.

" Comfort him tonight in any way you can." Makarov spoke.

"Why are you appearing before us?" Princess Sofia asked. Makarov then looked at Seth, which caused them to look and see Seth kicking Shelly in the back of his legs before using him as a shield for a crossbow bolt, which struck Shelly in his other arm.

" He bears an ancient art. One that has not been used in years. One that died out long ago." Makarov spoke.

"What art?" King Roland asked.

" An art which your ancestor had given me the Royal Title of Prince after I died." Makarov spoke. Seth then glared into the trees and kicked Shelly away, dodging a crossbow bolt and grabbing a bow and arrow. Seth then concentrated and time slowed. He soon saw a figure in the trees and jumped to the left as another crossbow bolt whizzed past him. Seth rolled before standing and drew the arrow back on the bow, aiming at the figure.

"Smile, ya son of a bitch." Seth muttered. Time went normal and Seth fired the arrow. The figure was hit and fell down. Shelly gasped before looking at Seth and baring his teeth.

"You BASTARD!" He yelled. Seth looked at Shelly and said five words.

"You turned me into one." Seth spoke. Shelly growled and charged at Seth, grabbing a dagger that was on the ground. Seth glared and dodged the attack. Princess Sofia gasped and looked to one of the guards.

"Throw your sword to the boy!" She said. The guard drew his sword and nodded.

"BOY!" The guard yelled. Seth looked at the guard and saw the sword.

'Why is his sword drawn? Shelly isn't near them!' Seth thought.

"CATCH!" The guard yelled. He then threw the sword to Seth, who caught it and glared as Shelly charged again. Seth held the sword in front of him and blocked the attack.

"You tricked me in that bar." Shelly said.

"You allowed yourself to be tricked." Seth said.

"I should have killed you five months ago!" Shelly said.

"It would have given you nightmares." Seth said.

"YOUR FATHER STOLE MY GIRL!" Shelly said. Seth glared intensely before Shelly gasped.

"He never stole anything. My mother left you for him because of the evil inside you." Seth said. Shelly tensed up, gritted his teeth, and screamed loudly.

"JUST DIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE!" Shelly growled. He stepped back and swung, but Seth stood to the side and glared.

"You first." He spoke. The sword Seth held then started glowing a bright gold and King Roland gasped.

"No way! He knows THAT?!" King Roland asked. Prince James looked towards Seth and gasped in awe.

"I didn't know an Elite Royal Guard's sword could glow!" He said. Princess Amber and Queen Miranda looked as well and gasped.

"Amazing!" Princess Amber said, smiling.

"I don't think the sword is glowing on its own." Queen Miranda said. Shelly glared and charged, screaming. Time slowed and Seth took a breath before releasing it.

"McGarrett Sword Art:…." Seth spoke. Shelly gasped in realization, but it was too late. Time moved normally as Seth glared and golden lightning appeared from the sword as Seth stood to charge. Shelly stopped in his tracks, dropping the dagger and holding his hands in front of him in fear.

"No! Please, no! Anything but that! I-I-I surrender! I surrender! J-j-j-j-just spare me! I beg of you! PLEASE, NO!" Shelly pleaded. Seth charged at Shelly, a loud boom resonating as golden lightning trailed behind.

"JUDGEMENT STRIKE!" Seth yelled. Shelly tried to run away, but it was too late. Time slowed as Seth slashed Shelly's midsection with the sword, darting past him. Time resumed normally and Seth closed his eyes and skidded to a halt before forcing the sword to his right, the golden lightning and the glow gone. A soft wind blew and King Roland was stunned. Princess Sofia looked to Makarov, who looked back at her and nodded.

" That was something he made on his own. He hasn't tapped in to his hidden powers. He learned that from his father," Makarov spoke, " but he won't be able to tap into the powers I once had without help. You need to provide him comfort. This will surely weigh heavily on him."

'What does he mean by that?' Princess Sofia thought. She was knocked out of her thoughts as she heard Seth say something.

"Judgement…," Seth spoke, opening his eyes slowly and glaring ahead of him before continuing, "guilty." Shelly then fell forwards and collapsed, his body splitting into two and bleeding out. The villagers gasped, and Princess Amber screamed. Seth dropped the sword and went to run, but stopped as the Amulet of Avalor started glowing brighter.

'The Amulet of Avalor!' Seth thought, looking towards it. Princess Sofia then ran to Seth and hugged him tight.

"Don't leave! Please!" She begged.

"I just killed someone, Your Majesty." Seth said.

"You did so to save everyone's lives!" Princess Sofia countered.

"I'm a murderer." Seth spoke.

"You're a HERO!" Princess Sofia countered. Seth lowered his head.

"I don't deserve to live." He spoke. Princess Sofia gasped before gripping Seth tight.

"I won't let you kill yourself! You're too important to me!" She said.

"Why?" Seth asked.

"Huh?!" Princess Sofia asked.

"Why are you doing this? Why are you trying to defend me to the villagers? Why are you trying to keep me here? Why are you being so nice to me?! Why are you wasting your time on a filthy peasant like me?! Why are so focused on keeping me CLOSE TO YOU?!" Seth asked.

"BECAUSE I LOVE YOU, DAMN IT!" Princess Sofia yelled, stunning everyone. A few gasps resonated and Seth looked at her in shock and disbelief.

"W-what did you just say?" He asked. Princess Sofia looked into Seth's eyes, tears forming in hers.

"I…. I love you. I have for awhile now." She said.

"When did your feelings start?" Seth asked. Princess Sofia blushed slightly before she looked away.

"Two months ago. I…. I've been watching you from my room using my telescope. I've seen all the exercises you've done. From the basics," Princess Sofia said, "to the most advanced. I've even watched you practice your martial arts. I wanted to approach you and talk to you before today, but you always ran from the guards whenever we visited. I was scared you would run from me, too!"

"Then why approach me like you did today?" Seth asked.

"Because if I hadn't you would have died. We were scheduled to visit the village today. If I hadn't brought you here," Princess Sofia said, "then you would have died protecting me. I'd have been so depressed that I would turn to drinking to ease my sorrows, and I wouldn't leave my room for days."

"How do you know?" Seth asked.

"I'd accidentally slit my wrists opening another bottle," Princess Sofia continued, "and I wouldn't do anything about it. If I never did what I had today, I'd be responsible for your death!"

"How do you know that?!" Seth asked. Princess Sofia shed a tear and grabbed Seth's right hand.

"I'll show you." She said. Princess Sofia then took Seth's hand and placed it on the Amulet of Avalor. Seth gasped and the Amulet then projected everything for everyone to see. After it all played, everyone was stunned and speechless. King Roland and Queen Miranda looked at each other before looking at Seth and Princess Sofia. Seth couldn't believe it.

"You mean to tell me that you lived this day before," Seth said, "but I never survived it?"

"The Amulet of Avalor sent me back in time in order to save you from that." Princess Sofia said.

"Who was it that spoke at the end?" Seth asked.

"Your ancestor." Princess Sofia said.

"What?!" Seth asked.

" It's true." Makarov spoke, revealing himself to Seth and the others. Princess Sofia then took Seth's hand off the Amulet of Avalor and held it in her own, closing her eyes. She took a breath before looking into Seth's eyes again.

"He told me to save you. I don't know why." Princess Sofia said.

" Because he is the LAST of my descendants. I have no others. I've been wandering for years because I haven't been at peace. I didn't die of natural causes like they had said." Makarov spoke. Seth gasped and looked at Makarov.

"You were murdered?!" He asked.

" I was. My killer was never found. Now I know why." Makarov said. Princess Sofia looked at Makarov and tears formed.

"Not you, too." She said.

" I'm afraid so. I was murdered by my usurper." Makarov said.

"Who later became the founder of the Royal Guard and the Elite Royal Guard." Seth spoke. Princess Sofia gasped and looked at him.

"Y-you knew?!" She asked.

"Not at first," Seth said, "but I read some of Enchancia's history before lunch was served. I never read a thing about Makarov. All the books said that the Enchancia Guard was formed by the Royal Court."

"They rewrote history?!" Princess Sofia asked.

"Now the truth has come to light." Seth said. The Amulet of Avalor started glowing brighter and the light engulfed Seth. Everyone gasped and Princess Sofia became worried.

"Seth!" She exclaimed. Makarov gave a calming smile and shed a tear of joy.

" You really are my descendant." He spoke. Seth formed a fist over his heart and lowered his head, closing his eyes in the process.

"Nunc anima tua solacium inveniat cognoscendo quod veritas revelata sit. Requiescant in pace, Makarov McGarrett. (May your soul now find solace in knowing that the truth is revealed. Rest in Peace, Makarov McGarrett.)" Seth spoke. Makarov smiled brightly as his soul left, now at peace. The Amulet of Avalor then stopped glowing and Seth gripped his head in pain, holding back a scream. King Roland gasped and ran into the castle. He ran past several, going into the Royal Treasures room.

"Where is it? Where is it?!" He asked. He looked around more.

'It has to be here!' He thought. King Roland looked in several chests before grunting in frustration.

"Damn it, WHERE IS IT?!" He yelled. Baileywick then ran in, worried.

"Is something wrong, Your Majesty?" He asked.

"Baileywick! There was a second Amulet in here! Where is it?!" King Roland asked.

"The Unnamed Amulet?" Baileywick asked.

"Yes! Where is it?!" King Roland asked.

"It's being polished along with the Royal Scepter and Royal Sphere." Baileywick answered. King Roland gripped Baileywick by his shoulders.

"You're a life saver." He said. He ran out of the Royal Treasures room fast.

"What's going on?! Why do you need it?!" Baileywick asked. King Roland ran as fast as he could to where the castle sorcerer, Cedric, stayed. When he opened the door, Cedric jumped and nearly dropped a beaker he was holding. When Cedric saw King Roland, he gasped.

"Good Heavens, Your Majesty! What's all the commotion about?!" He asked.

"I need that book on the Unnamed Amulet! Hurry!" King Roland said. Cedric gasped and ran to where it was and threw it to King Roland.

"Does it have something to do with Sofia's guest?" Cedric asked.

"It does. Come on!" He said. Cedric followed, but stopped first.

"Watch the place, Wormwood!" He said. King Roland then ran out and Cedric followed. They two then approached the Royal Crown and Treasure Polisher as they had just finished polishing the Unnamed Amulet. The gem was a Navy Blue, and it was glowing faintly. The polisher looked at King Roland and bowed.

"Your Majesty! I just finished polishing these items!" They said.

"Give me the Amulet!" King Roland ordered.

"Is something wrong?" The polisher asked.

"There's no time to explain! Give him the Amulet! It's a matter of life or death!" Cedric said. The polisher gasped and gave the Amulet to King Roland, who took it and bolted to the front of the castle with Cedric following. Cedric pulled out his wand and stopped King Roland.

"What are you doing?!" He asked, furious.

"Temporarus Portallium!" Cedric said, pointing it in front of him. A portal to where Seth was then appeared and King Roland gasped. Seth was unconscious and his head was on Princess Sofia's lap.

"Bless you, Cedric." King Roland said.

"Save it for after the boy is alright!" Cedric said. King Roland got serious and nodded. The two then ran through the portal and it disappeared. Princess Sofia looked at them as King Roland opened the book and gasped.

"The last page has been ripped out!" He said.

"That page finishes the Amulet's origin story!" Cedric exclaimed. Princess Sofia saw the Amulet in King Roland's hand and ran to him, grabbing it and taking it from him.

"Sofia!" King Roland said. Princess Sofia then ran to Seth, placing the Amulet around his neck. The gem started glowing bright and the light around him was drawn into the Amulet before it manifested and flew to the book, knocking it out of King Roland's hands and into Cedric's.

"What in the- SWEET MOTHER OF CHRIST!" Cedric yelled. The light had reformed the page and Cedric gave the book back to King Roland, who took it in turn and read the last page before gasping. Princess Sofia then placed a hand on the Amulet of Avalor and placed her free hand on the Amulet around Seth's neck.

"I wish to learn the name of this Amulet!" Princess Sofia said. Both Amulets started glowing bright before the light of both engulfed Seth and Princess Sofia and transported them to a different plane of existence before they stopped glowing. Seth groaned and held his head.

"Ow, my head!" He spoke. Princess Sofia gasped and Seth sat up.

"Seth!" She said, hugging him from behind.

"What happened?" Seth asked.

" You were knocked unconscious by the Amulet of Avalor." A voice spoke. Seth went on alert and looked around.

"Who said that?" Seth asked. Princess Sofia held him close to her and he looked stunned.

"Calm down. You'll give yourself whiplash." She said, concerned.

" It's alright, Your Majesty. For he's merely acting on instinct." The voice spoke again. A bright light appeared and the two looked towards it, shielding their eyes as someone appeared from it. Seth and Princess Sofia stood up as the person approached. It was a woman that wore a hooded robe.

"Who are you?" Seth asked.

" I am Irelith. I helped make the Amulet of Justice." The woman said.

"Amulet of Justice?" Princess Sofia asked.

" The Amulet around your friend's neck, Princess Sofia." Irelith said. Princess Sofia gasped.

"You know who I am?" She asked.

" But of course. I've been aware of you from the moment you were given the Amulet of Avalor." Irelith said.

"What is the Amulet of Justice?" Seth asked.

" The Amulet of Justice was made as a gift," Irelith said, " and it was given to the Enchancia Royal Family. I enchanted it with my magic, and it was given to your ancestor."

"Makarov wore this?!" Princess Sofia asked.

" That he did. He dubbed it the Amulet of Justice," Irelith said, " but that's not it's true name." Seth and Princess Sofia looked at each other before looking back at Irelith, their looks serious.

"What's the Amulet's true name?" They asked. Irelith smiled before holding her hands out.

" Before I tell you," she spoke, " I ask that you join hands." Seth was hesitant at first, but it went away when Princess Sofia took his hands in hers. He looked into her eyes and Irelith rose her hands, transporting the three of them back.

"What the?!" Cedric said, shielding his eyes.

" Citizens of Enchancia," Irelith spoke, " I am the spirit of the sorceress Irelith!" Cedric gasped.

"Irelith?! As in the Sorceress of Magic Law?!" He asked. Everyone, sans Seth and Princess Sofia, looked at Irelith and she smiled.

" This boy has been deemed worthy to wear the Amulet I helped forge! The amulet worn by Makarov McGarrett! For within this boy," Irelith spoke, " lies not only the heart of a warrior, and the soul of a protector, but the magic once used by Makarov and I! An ancient art that has been removed from history by those who fear it!"

"What is it?!" Prince James asked.

"Better yet," King Roland said, "the Amulet around Seth isn't really named the Amulet of Justice! What's the true name of it?!" Irelith smiled and both Amulets started glowing.

" The magic this boy has was never named! For the man responsible for naming it was murdered before he had a chance to!" Irelith said. King Roland gasped at that.

"He wields Makarov's magic?!" He asked.

" All of Makarov's descendants had wielded it," Irelith said, " and they were hunted from the shadows! This boy is the only wielder left!" A crossbow bolt then bounced off the light emitting from Seth and someone appeared from the crowd.

"He who is related to one who sinned," the person said, "return to the pits of Hell where thou belongs. This world is not meant for thou to trample on." Seth never said a word, but Irelith did.

" Thou who seeks to slay this youth," she spoke, " identify thyself and thine employer!"

"Huh?" Princess Amber asked.

"I'll translate. Clears throat 'You who wants to kill this child, identify yourself and who you work for!' is what she said." Prince James said. Irelith nodded and Princess Amber was stunned.

"Could you translate what she says whenever she talks like that?" She asked.

"No need," the person said, "for I'll refrain from using the old habits."

" That would be most wise, rogue." Irelith said.

"My name is Haytham," the person said, "and I'm a member of the Knights of the Blue Cross."

"A Blue Templar?!" Cedric asked.

"DON'T LUMP US IN WITH THOSE LOUTS!" The person boomed.

"That's what you're called though! A select group of sorcerers and sorceresses who maintain peace from the shadows!" Cedric said.

" You were told lies. For it was Makarov and I who maintained such peace." Irelith spoke.

"Then there's two Knights of the Blue Cross?" Prince James asked.

" There is only one," Irelith said, " and they sought to control the Royal Family from within. The former Captain of the Guard, who lies dead with a crossbow bolt in his heart, was a member."

"Then the target from in the past that we had seen!" Queen Miranda said.

" Was this boy." Irelith said. The villagers gasped and the Elite Royal Guard drew their weapons. Haytham glared at Irelith with barred teeth.

"You should have been burned at the stake, witch." He spoke.

" That would be the fate of you and your kind." Irelith spoke.

"That boy carries the magic of sin! He must be stopped before it develops!" Haytham said.

"No." Princess Sofia spoke, her voice cold. Haytham tensed up and looked scared.

'That tone.' He thought.

"The ones who must be stopped," Princess Sofia spoke, looking deep into Seth's eyes, "are you and order." Both Amulets started glowing brighter and Irelith was stunned.

' Is she doing what I think she is?!' Irelith thought. Princess Sofia then leaned forward a bit.

"Your Majesty?" Seth asked. Princess Sofia smiled sweetly and moved her right hand to Seth's left cheek, shedding a tear of joy as the Amulets stopped glowing.

"Just call me Sofia." She said. Before Seth could speak again, Princess Sofia kissed him. The tear she shed dropped down and hit the ground, the impact echoing. Haytham gasped in realization.

"No. No! No, no, no, no, no, NOOOOOOOOOOO!" He yelled. He then aimed his crossbow again, this time with an enchanted bolt, and prepared to fire. However, it was too late. The moment Princess Sofia broke the kiss, Seth glared at Haytham before Irelith realized it.

' She truly loves him.' Irelith thought. The sword Seth held earlier went to him and Irelith glared at Haytham.

" You have one chance to save your miserable life. CEASE YOUR ACTIONS AT ONCE!" She boomed.

"Never! ALL SIN MUST BE PURGED!" Haytham yelled. Seth glared and time slowed as he held the sword before in front of him and closed his eyes, a glow emitting from the sword. Seth took a breath before releasing it.

"McGarrett Sword Art:…." He spoke. Princess Sofia moved behind Seth as Haytham went to fire.

"DIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEE!" Haytham yelled, his voice being echoed. Seth slowly opened his eyes and glared.

"Counter STRIKE!" He yelled. Time resumed normally and Haytham fired the crossbow bolt. Everyone gasped in fear, but Princess Sofia gave a smile.

"Do it, Seth." She said. Seth then swung downwards and time slowed as he hit the bolt back towards Haytham's crossbow before returning to normal as the bolt flew at a rate so fast Haytham couldn't dodge. Time slowed as the crossbow bolt struck the crossbow, the enchantment on the bolt causing it to shatter. Haytham dropped the crossbow and shielded his face with his arms. Time resumed normally as Haytham charged Seth directly, revealing an enchanted dagger. However, Seth tossed the sword back and looked at an archer.

"Toss me your bow and an arrow!" He said. The archer did just that and Seth caught them both, drawing the arrow back and aiming at Haytham.

"SIN BE PURGED!" Haytham yelled. Seth fired the arrow and hit Haytham in the knee, causing him to fall on his dagger. Cedric gasped and stepped back in shock.

"Did he just?!" He asked.

"He did." King Roland said. Seth gave a sigh before looking at Haytham, who stared at him in pain.

"He used to be an assassin," Seth spoke, tossing the bow back to the archer before speaking again, "then he took an arrow in the knee."

"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" The guards exclaimed. Two Elite Royal Guards then approached and picked Haytham up before taking him towards the castle to be put in the dungeon.

'Shot in the knee,' Haytham thought, 'falling on my dagger, and being publicly humiliated by my target. This can't get any worse.'

"Put him in an interrogation room. I have some questions for him regarding the Knights of the Blue Cross." King Roland said.

"Oh, FIND ME IN THE OUNCE!" Haytham yelled. King Roland looked confused and looked to Irelith.

"Translation?" He asked. Before Irelith could speak, Seth held up a hand and shook his head.

"Not with children around." Seth spoke.

"Why can't it be said with children aro- oh, God, I just got it." Queen Miranda said. Prince James and Princess Amber looked confused.

"Get what?" They asked.

"We'll tell you when you're older." King Roland and Queen Miranda said, simultaneously looking towards where Haytham was being taken. Seth sighed and Princess Sofia hugged him from behind. Seth turned and looked at her, seeing her blush.

" You really do love him, don't you, Princess Sofia?" Irelith asked.

"More than he'll ever know." Princess Sofia said. The Amulet of Avalor then touched the one Seth wore and Irelith gasped.

" Step back! QUICK!" She said. Both Amulets then resonated and Seth and Princess Sofia both tensed up, their eyes glowing the colors of the Amulets they wore. Irelith gasped in shock.

' They didn't spark. Could it really be?!' Irelith gasped. Their eyes stopped glowing and they gasped before breathing heavy.

"What was that?!" Seth asked.

"I don't know!" Princess Sofia exclaimed.

" You're him." Irelith spoke. Seth looked towards her, confused.

"I'm who?" He asked. Irelith then held her hand out and the book on the Amulet that Seth wore floated to her. She flipped to the last page and showed it to him.

" Read the fifth line aloud." She said. Seth looked at the fifth line.

"If someone wears this Amulet," he read, "and it touches the Amulet of Avalor, the Amulets will resonate and spark, killing the wearer of it and leaving the wearer of the Amulet of Avalor unscathed."

"HOLD IT! The Amulet of Avalor never caused a spark! That contradicts what was written!" Prince James said. Princess Sofia gasped and looked at the page in the book before placing a finger on a line.

"This line clears it! The ninth line from the bottom! Read it, Seth!" Princess Sofia said. Seth looked at the line and gasped.

"Should the Amulet touch the Amulet of Avalor," Seth read, "and no spark occurs, but the eyes of the Amulet wearers glow, then the Amulet has found it's rightful wearer!"

"Keep reading! There's more to it!" Princess Sofia said.

" I agree! Keep reading, Seth!" Irelith said.

"It was said that only one person managed to wear the Amulet," Seth read, "and their eyes had glowed when it touched the Amulet of Avalor. This man was never from the Royal Family, nor was he from the Royal Court or Royal Guard. However, they used magic to manipulate it in order to get closer to who wore the Amulet of Avalor and take their virginity?!"

"What?!" Princess Amber asked.

" Do not be alarmed. Seth has never ONCE used magic." Irelith said.

"What about those things he did with the sword?!" Prince James asked.

" Ah, yes. The McGarrett Sword Arts. Those don't use magic," Irelith said, " but a special energy only available through physical and spiritual training. They use Qi Energy."

"That's why you were doing those exercises and practicing martial arts!" Princess Sofia deduced.

"Afterwards," Seth said, "I meditated and did tai chi."

"I never saw that." Princess Sofia said.

"Because it was always around breakfast that I had done it." Seth said.

" Keep reading from where you left off, Seth." Irelith said. Seth nodded and continued.

"As a result of this," Seth read, "the Amulets cursed the man by making him forever sterile before he eventually died as a result. This man was wiped from history, and was never talked about again. Like the Amulet of Avalor, this Amulet will grant its wearer a blessing, or will give them a curse. The Amulet was deemed too dangerous to wear, and was sealed away in the Royal Treasure Room. They called it the Unnamed Amulet ever since. However, there is a legend."

"A legend?" Prince James asked.

"Keep reading, Seth." Princess Sofia said. Seth looked and gasped.

"There's nothing left to read! The rest is blank!" Seth said.

" When the truth of Makarov McGarrett is revealed," Irelith said, " the Amulet will be used in a final test. Should a spark ignite between the Amulets, it will be destroyed. Should the eyes of the wearers glow, the Amulet will have found its wearer."

"Seth's and Sofia's eyes were glowing when the Amulets touched!" Princess Amber said.

"Does that mean Seth is the true wearer of the Amulet?!" Prince James asked. Both Amulets started glowing again and Seth tensed up, his eyes turning a dark blue, before he rose up.

"What's going on? Why is he floating?!" Princess Sofia asked, worried.

" The Amulet is unlocking his magic power." Irelith said.

"What?!" Queen Miranda asked. Irelith then bowed her head.

" Ad te hanc magicam transeo! ( Unto you I pass on this magic!)" Irelith spoke. A dark blue aura then appeared around Seth and it was absorbed into the Amulet. Seth then landed on the ground and gasped in realization.

'I know the name of the Amulet!' He thought. Several hooded individuals then appeared and charged towards Seth.

"Seth, NO!" Princess Sofia said. Seth jumped back before grabbing Princess Sofia's hand with his right and the Amulet with his left before closing his eyes.

"Resistance is futile! SIN BE PURGED!" One of the hooded ones said. Seth then opened his eyes and glared as both Amulets started glowing brighter. Irelith then put up a barrier between the hooded individuals and Seth and Princess Sofia.

" Your Majesty! Take his other hand in yours!" She spoke. Princess Sofia did just that and a beam of light shot out of the Amulets, causing Seth and Princess Sofia to close their eyes from the sudden light. The hooded individuals all gasped.

"No!" One said.

"Don't release it!" Another pleaded.

" Princess Sofia," Irelith said, " do you vow to remain faithful to this boy for as long as your feelings for him are true, and to assist him in mastering his magic and skills?" Princess Sofia opened her eyes and looked at Seth.

"I do!" She said.

" Tell me his full name!" Irelith said.

"It's Seth! His name is Seth McGarrett! I never learned his middle name!" Princess Sofia exclaimed. The beam of light started shining brighter and Irelith looked to Seth.

" What is your middle name?" Irelith asked.

"It's Eric!" Seth said. The beam of light shined brighter and the hooded individuals all scrambled into the barrier, attempting to break it.

"Stop it! Don't release that sin-filled magic!" One pleaded.

" Do you, Seth Eric McGarrett, vow to follow your ancestor's path and protect the Royal Family and Enchancia from enemies foreign and domestic in a manner befitting an Officer of Law?" Irelith asked.

"I do!" Seth said. The beam of light shined brighter.

" Do you vow to use your magic for the good of society, only calling upon it when the situation demands it?" Irelith asked.

"I do!" Seth said. The beam of light shined even brighter. Princess Sofia was concerned that Seth never opened his eyes, but it soon went away as she realized what was happening.

'He was all alone until I approached him today! I announced my feelings for him in front of everyone,' she thought, 'but he never had a chance to respond! I never asked him how he felt!'

"Seth," Princess Sofia spoke, "I never had a chance to ask you this! Now might not be a good time, but I have to know! How do you feel about me?! Do you accept my confession?!" Seth was silent at first, but took a breath.

"You were the first one to approach me that didn't try to attack. You were nice to me even though I was a stranger. You were brought back in time to save my life because I'm the last of my line! You helped me find closure by asking to look into my parents' murders! What chance do I have of living up to the expectations of a Royal Consort?!" Seth asked.

"I don't want you to be my consort!" Princess Sofia exclaimed.

"Then why did you confess your feelings to me?!" Seth asked.

"BECAUSE I WANT TO SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE WITH YOU!" Princess Sofia boomed. The beam of light shined even brighter and the hooded individuals were pounding on the barrier harder.

"Please no!" One pleaded.

" Seth Eric McGarrett," Irelith said, " do you accept Princess Sofia's confession of love, and do you vow to treat her with respect? Do you vow to exceed her expectations, treat her like a lady, and never willingly cause her harm?" The beam of light started glowing even brighter and Seth stood firm.

"Don't do it!" A hooded individual pleaded.

" Do you vow to court her like a gentleman, and maintain your relationship with her with dignity?!" Irelith asked.

"STOP IIIIIIIIIT!" A hooded individual pleaded.

" Do you vow to learn more about Princess Sofia?! Not as her Royal Consort, but as her significant other?! Do you vow to remain faithful to her as her boyfriend?!" Irelith asked. Time slowed as Princess Sofia looked with expectant eyes.

'I do.' Seth thought.

"STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!" A hooded individual pleaded, their voice echoed.

'I do!' Seth thought.

" DO YOU VOW?!" Irelith boomed. Seth heard shattering and something flowed through him before his body eased.

"I DO!" Seth boomed, opening his eyes and looking into Princess Sofia's. Time resumed normally and the beam of light started glowing as bright as it could and it engulfed both Seth and Princess Sofia. Everyone, sans Irelith, shielded their eyes as the light glowed.

" By my power as Sorceress of Magic Law," Irelith said, " I announce the wielder of this unnamed MAGIC!" The hooded individuals all looked in shock.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" They screamed. From within the beam of light, Seth and Princess Sofia were staring into each others eyes before releasing each others hands and grabbing their respective Amulets.

"UNLEASH THE POWER!" The two boomed, the last word echoing. Irelith gasped in shock a bright light appeared from within the beam. The light then shot out and revealed Seth and Princess Sofia, no longer holding their amulets, but something was different. Princess Sofia looked the same, and the Amulet of Avalor was the same color. However, Seth was still surrounded by light. The barrier disappeared and the hooded individuals sighed in relief.

"It didn't work." One said.

"Don't be too sure." Seth spoke. They all looked and gasped. Seth then faced them and he was revealed to be wearing a white short sleeve shirt, royal blue slacks, a royal blue blazer, and a pair of black combat boots. The Amulet he wore was no longer holding a dark blue gem, but a bright royal blue one. One hooded individual stepped forward and glared.

"You truly do wield the sinful magic." They spoke.

"The only sinful magic is dark magic," Seth said, "and that is what I shall combat."

"Your magic was formed from sin. Your ancestor had relations with his SISTER!" The individual spoke.

"Do your research." King Roland spoke.

"What?!" The individual asked. King Roland then stood near Seth and glared.

"Makarov was FORCED into having relations with his sister in an attempt to overthrow the Royal Family. It failed miserably." King Roland said. The individual glared intensely and drew a sword.

"SIN BE PURGED!" He yelled. The other hooded individuals then drew weapons of their own and got ready to charge. Seth glared and Princess Sofia grabbed his left hand.

"You don't know any attacks with magic," she said, "so how will you fight?" Seth held out his right hand and the hooded individuals stood ready to attack.

"I call upon the blade of my ancestor," he said, "and ask for its aid in battle!" King Roland and Irelith gasped and looked at Seth.

'He can't mean!' King Roland thought.

' Could he?!' Irelith thought.

"Come forth! MURAMASA!" Seth commanded. A katana sword then appeared and the hooded individuals gasped.

"No way!" One said.

"He summoned Makarov's blade!" Another said.

"QUIET, YOU FOOLS!" Their leader boomed. Seth closed his eyes and concentrated. Irelith then shed a tear of joy.

" I have done my job. Now, I, too, can be at peace." She said, her spirit disappearing

"Requiescant in pace, Irelith. (Rest in Peace, Irelith.)" Seth spoke.

" Who dares to summon me?" A voice asked, speaking only to Seth through telepathy.

'My name is Seth McGarrett. I am a descendant of Makarov.' Seth spoke

" Makarov's descendant?! I wasn't aware he had any children!" The voice exclaimed.

'They were in secret because of his status and position.' Seth spoke.

" I understand now. How were you able to unlock the power he wielded?" The voice asked.

'I had some help from Irelith's spirit,' Seth spoke, 'and from Princess Sofia, who wears the Amulet of Avalor.'

" You took the vows he prophesized?!" The voice asked.

'If you do not find me worthy of wielding you after this,' Seth spoke, 'I ask you assist me in finding one that will.'

" Very well. I shall lend you my aid!" The voice exclaimed.

'I'm faced with a crowd of Blue Templars. What attacks did Makarov have to clear mobs of enemies?' Seth asked.

" He had one attack like that. The Slicing Wave. I shall guide you in executing it!" The voice said.

"CHAAAAAAAAAAARGE!" The leader yelled. The hooded individuals all charged and yelled. Before Muramasa started glowing royal blue. Princess Sofia let go of Seth's hand and both her and King Roland stepped back. Seth then held Muramasa in both hands and gripped tight, waiting for the right moment.

" Now!" The voice said. Seth's eyes shot open and he held Muramasa to his left, the blade horizontal.

"Attacking is useless!" A hooded individual said.

"NOW DIE!" The leader yelled.

"Slicing WAVE!" Seth boomed. He then swung Muramasa once and a royal blue crescent beam was sent towards them.

"Clever dick!" The leader said. He then jumped high as the beam struck the others, knocking them down and unconscious.

" Makarov's magic was used to protect others," the voice said, " not to harm them. He used his Sword Arts for that." Seth then held Muramasa at an angle and stopped the leader from slashing his body.

"You really are his descendant. That makes you the bearer of his sins!" The leader said.

"The only one bearing sins is you." Seth said.

"Shut UP!" The leader exclaimed. The leader jumped back and went for a charge.

'I recognize that stance! He's about to use a Sword Art of his own!' Seth thought.

"Knight Sword Art: SIN CLEANSING STRIKE!" The leader exclaimed. The sword the leader held surrounded itself in a dark energy and Seth glared.

" He's using magic to activate it! Guard, quick!" The voice said.

'How can I guard that?! I have to dodge!' Seth spoke. The leader started to charge and Seth moved to dodge, but stopped as the Amulet around his neck started glowing.

" Trust me! Guard, NOW!" The voice exclaimed. Seth gritted his teeth and held Muramasa to block the attack.

'I hope you know what you're doing!' Seth spoke. The leader then struck Muramasa and time slowed as Seth moved out the way.

" Strike his back! NOW!" The voice said. Time resumed normally and Seth gave a palm strike to the leader's back.

"GEAAAAH!" The leader exclaimed, causing him to drop the sword he held and fall to the ground. Seth then glared intensely and held Muramasa at the back of the leader's neck, ready to decapitate him.

"Do you yield?" He asked. The leader turned and faced Seth, pure pain in his eyes.

"Why do you ask that? Finish me off! End my suffering with your ancestor's sinful magic!" He exclaimed.

"This magic was used to protect others," Seth said, "not to harm them. That's what the Sword Arts are for. You had used your magic to perform your Sword Art. A TRUE Sword Art is used with Qi. I will ask you again. Do you yield?" The leader was stunned. He then grunted in pain and clenched his eyes.

'He truly knows his words. He knows his Sword Arts, too. He doesn't know it,' the leader thought, 'but that strike he gave to my back had magic channeled within it. He's only a novice who got help from Makarov's sword, but he speaks as if he were a master. It appears we were doomed to fall to him from the moment we had killed Makarov all those years ago.' The leader then painfully nodded.

"I yield." He spoke. Seth then lifted Muramasa away from the leader's neck and sighed.

"Thank you for your aid, Muramasa. You may return to your resting place." Seth said.

" Before I do," Muramasa spoke, " I deem you worthy of wielding me. However, my power is much too weak. Therefore, I shall ask that you call upon my successor, Kotetsu. I will explain everything to him." Muramasa then vanished into sparkles and Seth walked to King Roland before kneeling before him and lowering his head. The Amulet then glowed faintly and the clothes Seth wore before appeared over his body. Seth then took the Amulet off and held it out to King Roland.

"I return unto you the Amulet gifted to your family. It's true name is the Amulet of Makarov. It was named after my ancestor," Seth said, "who forged it using his own materials, as a gift to prove his loyalty to the Royal Family. I may be his descendant, and the true wearer of it, but I am not worthy of such a thing in your eyes." King Roland was stunned and Princess Sofia couldn't believe it. King Roland then looked serious and forced Seth's hand closed and pushed it away.

"Rise, Seth." He spoke. Seth then stood up and looked at him, confused and worried.

'He refused it? Why? Is he about to have me executed with it?!' Seth thought.

"You are worthy to wear this Amulet. You proved it to me the moment you used it to unleash Makarov's magic. Now his magic is yours," King Roland said, "and so is the Amulet of his namesake. There was more to Makarov than what you read. He prophesized his own death, and said that descendant would reveal the truth of it. He prophesized that his descendant would take the vows of an Enchancia Guard, a Sorcerer of Magic, and a vow of Irelith's choice. I trust you to hold on to those vows, Seth."

"I'm no older than Princess Sofia! I can't be a guard at my age!" Seth exclaimed.

"You no longer have to address her by her titles," King Roland said, "nor me or the rest of my family by ours, unless the situation demands it." Seth was confused as King Roland knelt down and took the Amulet of Makarov from Seth's hand and placed it back around Seth's neck. He then motioned for Princess Sofia to approach and she did, taking Seth's hand before leading him back to the pedestal.

"I don't get it. What's going on?" Seth asked. Princess Sofia smiled and let Seth's hand go, stepping back. The Elite Royal Guard then put their weapons away and stood aside. Queen Miranda, Prince James, and Princess Amber then approached and stood next to, and behind, Princess Sofia. King Roland then approached and stood next to Queen Miranda before looking towards the crowd.

"It is with great pleasure that I announce Enchancia's newest addition to the Royal Court and Royal Family! Introducing for the very first time, Enchancia's newest Prince and it's first ever Royal Investigator, Seth McGarrett!" King Roland said. Two birds then flew over with a crown in their beaks and placed it on Seth's head, causing him to gasp in shock. The villagers then cheered and applauded and the guards went to attention and saluted as the bugles sounded again. Seth then shed a single tear and looked to the sky.

'You hear that, Mom and Dad? I've been made a Prince!' He thought. He felt a hand on his right shoulder and looked, seeing the girl responsible for having introduced him to her family: Princess Sofia. No, wait. It's just Sofia now. She had a smile on her face and he pulled her into a hug, stunning her.

"Thank you. You truly did save me. Thank you for everything, You- I mean, Sofia." Seth said. Sofia then hugged Seth back with a slight giggle.

"You're welcome, Seth. Nice save at the end, by the way." She spoke. The two broke the hug and Seth scratched the back of his head in embarrassment.

"Yeah," Seth said, "it's gonna take some getting used to." Sofia smiled and took his hand.

"You'll do fine." She said.

[Later that night….]

Seth was inside the Ballroom of the castle with Sofia, practicing his dancing with her. The Royal Orchestra was playing a waltz before they played the end as Seth bowed to Sofia while she curtsied to him. Clapping was heard and they looked towards it, seeing Baileywick.

"That was amazing, Sofia! Not bad for a first time, Seth!" He said.

"Thanks, Baileywick! I was just showing him the ropes at first," Sofia said, "but he caught on pretty quick! He's almost a natural at the waltz!"

"Well," Baileywick said, "I remember him saying that his parents taught him quite a bit. Perhaps the basics of dancing was one of them?"

"Nope. They couldn't dance to save their lives." Seth said.

"I'd really like to hear you play on the guitar. The Royal Orchestra just so happens to have one." Baileywick said. The Orchestra Maestro then motioned to a seat that had a guitar next to it. Seth walked to it and sat down before picking the guitar up.

"Has it been tuned?" He asked. The Maestro nodded and Seth strummed the chords to confirm. Sofia then smiled and watched as Seth started playing a song that she recognized from when she lived in the village. Baileywick recognized that tune as well.

"Oh, my." Baileywick spoke. The Maestro smiled and started to conduct the Orchestra to play with him. Sofia gasped in shock and Seth smiled before taking a breath and doing some open strums on the guitar as the Orchestra played the next notes loudly. Seth and the Orchestra then played together and Sofia gasped as Seth took another breath.

" If I had to

I would put myself right beside you

So let me ask, would you like that?

Would you like that?

And I don't mind

If you say this love is the last time

So now I'll ask. Do you like that?

Do you like that? No!

Something's getting in the way

Something's just about to break

I will try to find my place

In the diary of Jane

So tell me how it should be!" Seth sang. He and the Orchestra then played the next part and Sofia was in awe.

"He's amazing!" She said. Baileywick was speechless, but nodded.

" Try to find out

What makes you tick, as I lie down

Sore and sick, do you like that?

Do you like that?

There's a fine line

Between love and hate and I don't mind

Just let me say that I like that

I like that

Something's getting in the way

Something's just about to break

I will try to find my place

In the diary of Jane

As I burn another page

As I look the other way

I still try to find my place

In the diary of Jane

So tell me how it should be!" Seth sang. He and the Orchestra played the next instrumental as Sofia watched with awe.

'Not only can he play the guitar,' Baileywick thought, 'he can sing! It appears our newest Prince has quite the talent!'

" Desperate I will crawl

Waiting for so long, no love

There is no love

Die for anyone

What have I become?

Something's getting in the way

Something's just about to break

I will try to find my place

In the diary of Jane

As I burn another page

As look the other way

I still try to find my place

In the diary of Jane!" Seth sang, playing the ending instrumental with the Orchestra. The moment they all stopped, Sofia and Baileywick applauded as Seth let out a sigh.

"That song was amazing!" Sofia said.

"It sure was! Bravo, Seth!" Baileywick said.

"It was all the Orchestra. I just helped out." Seth said.

"Not with those pipes! You were DEFINITELY the star of that performance!" Baileywick said. The Maestro nodded in agreement. Seth then set the guitar down and got off the seat.

"I believe dinner will be served soon. Shall we be going, Sofia?" Seth asked, holding his arm out. Sofia smiled and took his arm.

"We shall." She said. The two then walked out before being stopped by Cedric. He then stood beside them and held out his wand.

"Temporarus Portallium!" He said, creating a portal to the Dining Hall. Sofia smiled and nodded.

"Thank you, Mr. Cedric." She said.

"Indeed," Seth said, "thank you."

"You're quite welcome." Cedric said. The two then walked in and the portal closed behind them. They then sat down next to each other and Roland smiled at them.

"I see you're living up to the vow you gave Irelith." He said. Sofia then kissed Seth's cheek and Miranda giggled.

"Who would have thought that Seth would become a permanent part of our lives? I sure didn't." She said.

"Me neither." Amber said.

"That came out of left field!" James said.

"I'm glad everyone is adjusting to it. After all," Sofia said, "it was Dad's idea to make him a Prince. Though, why he made Seth the Royal Investigator is beyond me."

"Because I had done the job of the Captain of the Guard better than he had." Seth said. Roland pointed to Seth in confirmation and Sofia smiled. Dinner was then served and Roland looked at Seth.

"Seth," he said, "would you like to say the grace tonight?"

"It's something we've started doing recently." Amber said.

"You don't have to if you don't want to. It's your first night eating with us, after all." Sofia said.

"It's okay, Sofia. I don't mind." Seth said. Sofia then took Seth's hand in her own and smiled.

"Care to take a guess on what it is?" She asked.

"I have a pretty good idea." Seth said.

"Then by all means." Roland said. Everyone then lowered their heads and closed their eyes before Seth took a breath.

"Bless us, O Lord, and these, thy gifts, which we are about to receive. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen." Seth said.

"Amen." The others said. They all lifted their heads and Sofia smiled brightly.

"You nailed it." She said. Seth smiled and started eating.

[One hour later….]

Seth was inside Sofia's room, lying on the floor, as she walked in, dressed in her nightgown.

"I don't think the floor is a good place to sleep." She said.

"You don't have a couch." Seth said. Sofia giggled before getting in her bed. Miranda then walked in and saw Seth on the floor before giggling.

"I don't think the floor is a good place to sleep." She said.

'Like mother, like daughter.' Seth thought.

"There's no couch." Seth said.

"Why not share Sofia's bed with her?" Miranda asked.

"I don't think your husband would agree to that." Seth said. Roland then walked in and saw what Miranda had seen before smiling.

"Sleeping on the floor as to not anger me?" He asked.

"Better than sharing Sofia's bed with her and getting a death march for my troubles." Seth said. Roland then pondered before nodding.

"I'll allow it. I trust you won't take things too far." He said. Seth then got off the floor and joined Sofia in her bed, lying on her left.

"I'll have a death march waiting for me if I do." Seth spoke. Roland was stunned at first, but soon smiled.

"It appears you truly are a gentleman. Get some sleep, you two. You both have school tomorrow." He spoke. Miranda and Roland then left, turning the light off and closing the door. Seth started closing his eyes, but stopped as he felt Sofia grab his shirt. He looked at her and saw she was scared, but she was also blushing.

"W-would it be okay if I cuddled you?" She asked.

"Afraid this is too good to be true?" Seth asked. Sofia nodded and Seth rose his right arm. Sofia then cuddled up to him, holding him close and laying her head on his chest. He wrapped his arm around her and she looked up at him. He looked at her she blushed deeper before kissing him. He was stunned at first, but slowly gave in. The two broke the kiss soon after and her blush had lightened up a bit. She then looked into Seth's eyes and he returned the look, causing her to smile.

"Good night, Seth." She said. He gave a soft smile as she had closed her eyes before yawning. Before he could speak, he heard her breathing go soft. He then rolled a bit and had both arms wrapped around her, lying on his right side, before kissing her forehead and whispering in her ear.

"Good night, Sofia. Sweet dreams." He spoke. He then closed his eyes and fell asleep.

[The next day….]

Seth and Sofia were both sleeping, cuddling each other. Seth's eyes then clenched and he slowly opened them. He looked outside, seeing he woke up at the same time he normally does. He heard a light moan and looked at Sofia, who was clenching her eyes.

'Is she about to wake up?' He thought.

"No. No! Stay away from him!" She mumbled. Seth then silently gasped and looked around. When he saw no one in the room but him and Sofia, his blood ran cold.

'Oh, shit! Sofia's having a nightmare!' He thought. Sofia had tensed up before gripping his shirt. He gently shook her, but she never woke.

"No! Stay with me, Seth! Don't leave me! Don't you dare die on me!" She mumbled.

"Sofia, wake up!" Seth whispered. She then gasped and sat up, panting heavily and throwing the covers off the two of them. She looked around and saw Seth. He then gave a calming gaze and her breathing went normal. He then sat up and her eyes had tears in them. She then pulled him closer to her and held him tight. He gently returned the embrace and she gave soft sobs.

"I was so scared!" She said.

"It was just a nightmare, Sofia. I'm not hurt." Seth spoke. Sofia then looked into his eyes. He then dried her tears with his thumb. She put a hand on his and gave a light blush.

'So gentle and warm.' She thought. She then leaned closer to him and he looked worried.

"Is something wrong?" He asked. Sofia said nothing, moving her arms to around Seth's neck.

'Was her nightmare THAT scary?!' Seth thought.

"What we do in private stays between us. No one else will know." She said, leaning closer. Seth looked shocked at first, but saw how she looked in the moonlight and blushed slightly.

"W-what if it goes too far? I don't want to disappoint your family." Seth asked.

"You won't. They trust you. I do, too." Sofia said. Seth gave a low gasp, realizing just how close she was.

"That nightmare really got to you, didn't it?" He asked.

"Just shut up and kiss me." Sofia said. Seth complied and the two laid back down. However, Sofia had pulled Seth on top of her, accidentally causing the kiss to go deeper. She gave a gasp through her nose before lightly moaning into the kiss. Seth broke the kiss and they both took some breaths before Sofia kissed him again. As if on instinct, Seth slipped his tongue into her mouth. She gave a light moan into the kiss and used her tongue to fight with his for dominance. Seth responded by using his hand to gently caress her cheek. She dropped her guard, and Seth used that moment to flip them to where she was on top of him. The two then broke the kiss, getting some air. A thin line of saliva had connected them before it went away.

"I think we should stop here before things get TOO heated." Seth said. Sofia giggled slightly before flipping them to where Seth was on top of her again and pulled the covers over them.

"If that happens," Sofia spoke, "then we just need to do something to cool off."

"Just how bad did that nightmare scare you?" Seth asked. Sofia blushed and looked down.

"I…. I had seen you die in my arms." She said. Seth was stunned, and Sofia looked into his eyes.

'She really means it. She saw me die in her nightmare!' Seth thought. Sofia then kissed Seth, bringing him out of his thoughts. She then broke the kiss and moved her hands from Seth's neck to his waist and she took off his shirt. She then blushed deeper as she saw how toned his body was.

'Those exercises did wonders for him. He's jacked!' Sofia thought. She ran a hand over his chest, getting a feel for it. She then kissed Seth deeply. Seth returned the kiss just as deep, unaware of the change occurring within the two of them. The two had unknowingly started making out, though they didn't know it at the time. However, they soon stopped as they heard something rip from under the covers. Seth blushed intensely.

'Crap baskets!' He thought. Sofia broke the kiss and ran a hand to below Seth's waist and gasped before blushing deeper, though not as deep as Seth.

"I see what you mean by things getting too heated now." She said.

"S-s-sorry." Seth spoke.

'Damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it, DAMN IT!' Seth thought. However, he was brought out of it by feeling Sofia grab something she never quite understood yet. Seth blushed deeper as Sofia had started to feel it from top to bottom.

"It feels so thick." She said. Seth looked at her, about to tell her to stop, but she placed a finger on his lips.

'She has no clue what she's implying.' Seth thought.

"I made you like this. I have to take responsibility." Sofia said. She then moved her other hand to below Seth's waist, before stopping just short of where her other hand was.

'I wonder if this will fit inside me somewhere.' She thought. She then got an idea and it made her blush as deep as Seth was. She then used her other hand to take her underwear off, but she kept them under the covers. She felt a rush of cool hit below her waist and she looked into Seth's eyes. Seth looked into hers and she moved both her hands back to around Seth's neck before wrapping her legs around his waist.

"D-do you know what y-you're wanting to do?" Seth asked.

"D-d-do you?" Sofia asked. Seth nodded.

"What you're wanting to do," Seth said, "is the same thing that man who wore the Amulet of Makarov had done to get him cursed." Sofia gasped in realization, but she soon smiled and blushed deeper.

"I…. I d-don't think y-y-you'll be c-c-cursed, though." She spoke. Seth blushed as red as a tomato at that.

"H-h-how d-do you know that?" Seth asked. Sofia stared into Seth's eyes and put her forehead on his.

"Because you never used your magic to manipulate the Amulet. It resonated with mine all on its own. I'm confident that you won't be cursed." Sofia said. She then kissed Seth deeply and he returned it. The two then started making out and Sofia gave a light moan into the kiss. She then felt hot on the inside and gripped Seth tight, causing his waist to crash into hers. They quickly broke the kiss simultaneously and gasped quietly. Seth blushed even deeper, turning a shade of crimson. Sofia had a pained look in her eyes, but soon felt something within her. Something thick and fleshy. She then realized what had happened and blushed deeper.

'Seth's thing is inside me,' she thought, 'yet I only felt pain when it was inserted. Could it be I'm adjusting to having something like this inside me?' Seth stayed completely still. Sofia placed a hand on his cheek before nodding.

"I-i-it's okay. Y-y-you can s-s-start m-m-moving." She stammered.

"A-a-are y-y-you s-s-sure?" Seth asked. Sofia kissed Seth with passion before breaking it.

"I'm sure." She said. Seth then nodded and slowly started moving his hips back before gently moving them forwards again. Sofia gasped quietly before closing her eyes and sighing in pleasure.

'This actually feels good. Is this how Mom felt when she did this with my father? Is this how Seth's parents felt when they made him?' She thought. Seth kept going in a slow rhythm before Sofia looked into his eyes.

"G-go faster." She spoke. Seth then sped up a bit and Sofia gasped again before giving a soft, quiet moan.

"Are you okay?" Seth asked.

"Yeah," Sofia said, "I'm okay. This… it feels good."

"I'm glad." Seth said. Sofia then gave another quiet moan and closed her eyes.

"Go faster." She breathed out. Seth increased the speed again and Sofia's breaths quickened. She kissed Seth passionately, and he returned it.

'He's being so gentle with me. He doesn't want me hurt!' Sofia thought. They broke the kiss and Sofia nodded.

"Faster!" She quietly squeaked. Seth went faster and Sofia bit her lower lip, burying her face in his shoulder. Seth acted on instinct and kissed the nape of her neck, causing her to quietly gasp.

'That feels amazing!' She thought. She gave a quiet moan before her breathing quickened.

"Oh, my! Ah~! F-faster! G-g-go faster!" Sofia said. Seth went even faster and Sofia tensed up. Seth then looked into her eyes and she stared into his. On instinct, Seth started going as fast as he could, making Sofia gasp in pleasure.

'Crap! My body's acting on its own!' Seth thought. He looked like he was about to stop, but Sofia shook her head.

"Don't stop! K-keep going! G-g-go deeper!" She said. Seth then went deeper and Sofia gave a low moan. It wasn't too loud to let anyone know what was happening, but it was enough for Seth to know he was doing something right.

'I can't deny it! This feels too good to stop!' Seth thought.

"Oh, yes! Ohohoh~, yes! Keep going, Seth! Keep going~!" Sofia moaned. Seth then acted on instinct and lifted Sofia's legs to above her head, causing her to gasp. She then moved her hands from around Seth's neck and held up her legs. She then kissed Seth and moaned into his mouth.

'This feels so good! I…. I want more!' Sofia thought. She broke the kiss and felt a tightness within her. Seth felt it, too, and gave an apologetic look.

'Forgive me, Sofia! I caused this to happen!' Seth thought.

"S-s-Seth! I-I-I'm f-f-feeling t-t-tight!" Sofia said.

"M-m-me, t-t-too! I…. I think we should stop!" Seth said.

"No! D-d-don't stop!" Sofia said. Seth felt something well up and he clenched his eyes.

'Crap! I'm at my limit!' He thought.

"I…. I think I should remove it!" Seth said.

"Don't you dare!" Sofia said. Seth looked at her in shock.

"You could get pregnant!" He said.

"I don't care! I want this! I made you like this," Sofia said, "and I have to take responsibility! Nngh! Oh~! I don't care what happens! A lady never gives herself to a man she doesn't fully trust!" Seth gasped and remembered what he vowed to Irelith. He then got a resolve and clenched his teeth.

"Then as a gentleman," he spoke, "I can't refuse a request from a lady." Sofia gasped and Seth went faster than before, breaking his limits, causing Sofia to gasp in pleasure.

"Oh~! Oh, yes! That's it! Oh~! Right there!" She said.

'It's no good! I can't stop myself!' Seth thought.

"Oh, gosh! Oh, my gosh! Yes~! Ah~!" Sofia moaned. Seth gave a look and his body tensed.

"I can't hold back any further!" Seth said.

"Then don't! Give it to me! Make me yours!" Sofia said. Seth grit his teeth and clenched his eyes.

"Oh, crap! Here it comes!" Seth said.

"Yes~! Yes~! Give it to me~! Ah~! S-s-Seth~!" Sofia moaned.

"Oh, crap! S-s-Sofia!" Seth said.

"Oh~, gosh! Give it to me~! Make me love you even more than I do now~! Make me your lover~!" Sofia moaned.

'Forgive me, Sofia!' Seth thought.

'Make me yours forever, Seth! Deepen our relationship! Give me what you're holding back! MAKE ME FEEL AMAZING!' Sofia thought. Seth then slammed his hips into Sofia's and kissed her passionately, causing her to moan into the kiss as she felt waves of pleasure course over her body. The pleasure she felt was only doubled by Seth releasing something hot and thick into her, the substance coming out in short and quick bursts. Seth acted on instinct and gave a few more slams, causing more of the substance to come out. The two broke the kiss and started panting heavily, their blushes gone. Seth then removed himself from Sofia and collapsed on her left. She then cuddled up to Seth again and kissed his cheek before giggling.

"That's one way to start the morning." She said. Seth looked at her, satisfaction in his eyes.

"Best… first day of school… ever." He said. Sofia giggled a bit and sat up.

"We should get cleaned up." She said.

"I have no clothes." Seth said. Sofia put her underwear back on and got out of bed.

"I can handle that." She said. She then exited her room before looking down the hall and seeing Baileywick.

"Good morning, Sofia! Is Seth awake?" He asked.

"He is," Sofia said, "but he needs to get cleaned up. Not to mention he doesn't have any clothes for his first day at Royal Prep." Baileywick gasped.

"That just won't do! I'll have King Roland arrange some clothes for him." He said.

"He's also gonna need a towel. His current clothes," Sofia said, "save for his shirt, had ripped while he slept." Baileywick knelt down and looked around before leaning close to Sofia.

"Tell me the truth," he whispered, "did you and him do something that adults normally do?" Sofia gave a light blush and looked down.

"Please don't tell." She said.

"Your secret is safe with me." Baileywick said. He then stood up and motioned one of the servants over.

"Yes, sir?" They asked.

"Bring a towel over for Seth. He needs to get cleaned up before breakfast." Baileywick said. The servant nodded and quickly ran off.

[Moments later….]

Seth walked into the Dining Hall dressed in an Enchancia Guard dress uniform. Miranda gasped and looked at Roland.

"You gave him that to wear?" She asked.

"He's our Royal Investigator. He should look like one." Roland said.

"I feel like it's missing something." James said.

"The sword?" Amber asked.

"No," James said, "not that."

"The hat?" Miranda asked.

"Not that either." James said.

"The ribbons?" Amber asked.

"The sash?" Miranda asked.

"A badge." Sofia said. They all looked at her as she walked in, wearing her signature purple dress. James smiled and pointed at her.

"Exactly!" James said.

"Very observant, James and Sofia. I'm arranging for a badge to be made for him." Roland said. Sofia and Seth both took their seats and Baileywick walked in.

"Your Majesty," he said, "we have guests this morning. Presenting Princess Clio, Princess Vivian, and Prince Desmond!" Three others walked and Seth stood up, going to attention. He never looked at them, but they saw him. Princess Vivian sat next to James while Princess Clio and Prince Desmond sat next to Amber. They looked at Seth and Baileywick tensed up.

"Oh, dear." Roland muttered. Sofia gave a smile and looked at Seth.

"You may sit down, Seth." She said.

"Thank you, Your Majesty." Seth said, sitting down.

"How strange. I never expected one of the guards to be joining you for breakfast." Prince Desmond said.

"This is Seth. He's our Royal Investigator," James said, "and Enchancia's newest Prince. He was given those titles yesterday."

"He's adjusting. Seth," Sofia said, "you don't need to use honorifics around us. They're friends."

"Forgive me," Seth said, "but under Enchancia Guard Title Codes 1-4-7 and 1-4-8, 'When in the presence of Royals from other nations or lands, honorifics must be used. Even when in the presence of family, friends, or a significant other within the Royal Family that has given permission to drop said honorifics. Unless told by the visiting Royals not to use honorifics with them, professionalism must be maintained within their presence at all times.'" Roland and Miranda were stunned, James' jaw dropped, and Amber looked at her tea, which she was holding in her hand, and set it down as to not drop it before sliding it away from her. A snicker was heard before laughing erupted from it. Sofia looked and saw Princess Clio laughing.

"Clio!" She said. Princess Clio gave a sigh before catching her breath.

"Sorry, sorry. I just never expected that from him! James said he was just recently named a Prince and your Royal Investigator," Princess Clio said, "but he acts as if he were a part of the Enchancia Guard for years! I can't help it!" Seth said nothing, his face stoic, and Princess Vivian sighed.

"Sorry about her. She can be a bit insensitive at times." She said.

"Nothing I'm not used to, You-." Seth spoke.

"Please," Princess Vivian said, "call me Vivian. Far as I'm concerned, you're a Prince first and a Royal Investigator second. Besides, any friend of Sofia's is a friend of mine." Seth nodded in understanding and James smiled. Seth then noticed a bruise of Prin- no, Vivian's neck and grew concerned.

"Is everything okay, Vivian? I noticed a bruise on your neck." Seth said. Vivian tensed up and covered the bruise with her hand before looking away.

"I'd rather not talk about it." She said.

"I understand. Sorry for bringing it up." Seth said. Sofia then looked at Vivian before looking at Seth. The Royal Chef then walked out and his assistants carried plates of food out.

"Breakfast is served." He said.

"Sweet! I'm starving." Prince Desmond said, reaching for a piece of toast. However, Princess Clio slapped his hand, causing him to pull It back.

"Mind your manners, Desmond." Princess Clio said.

"Would anyone care to say grace?" Miranda asked.

"Grace." James said, earning a laugh from everyone, sans Seth.

"Not like that, wisenheimer." Roland said, a slight smirk on his face. Sofia then looked at Seth and grabbed his hand.

"Seth?" She asked. Seth nodded and everyone bowed their heads.

"Bless us, O Lord, this day, which you have given. Be with us, this day, which you have brought. Bless our friends and family, O Lord, as we go about this day. Bless these, thy gifts, which we are about to receive, from thy bountiful hands, and through thy will. Protect us, this day, and save us from evil. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen." Seth spoke.

"Amen." Everyone said. They all rose their heads and Seth sighed.

"Well done, Seth." Roland said.

[After breakfast….]

Sofia, Amber, Vivian, and Princess Clio were looking on as James and Prince Desmond were standing before Seth.

"I want to see how well you fight. This might be good training for you," Prince Desmond said, "since you'll likely encounter suspects that will resist and try to fight to avoid capture. James and I will attempt to attack you. Try to restrain us as best as you can without using magic or potentially lethal strikes."

"Be careful, James!" Vivian said.

"You, too, Desmond!" Princess Clio said.

"Go easy on them, Seth!" Sofia said.

"I know." Seth said. He then stood in a defensive position and James and Prince Desmond grinned.

"He's underestimating us." Prince Desmond said. The two then charged at Seth, who immediately dodged both attacks simultaneously by quickly side-stepping.

"What the?!" James asked. Seth then quickly went behind them and the two tried to kick him. Seth blocked both with his arms before grabbing their ankles.

"Oh, no!" Princess Clio exclaimed.

'Clever dick!' Prince Desmond thought. Seth quickly pulled the two towards him, and they went for a punch. Time slowed as Seth leaned back and dodged before it went normally again and Seth wrapped his arms around the two forced them to the floor, the impact making two sounds: one from when they were grabbed, and one from when they hit the floor.

"GWOH!" The two exclaimed. Seth then let them go and jumped up before getting a safe distance away from them so they didn't try to grab him, and stood in his defensive position again.

"Do you yield?" Seth asked.

'We never saw it coming!' James thought.

'Now I know not to get on his bad side.' Prince Desmond thought.

"We yield." The two spoke. Seth stood normally and approached them. He held out his hands and the two took them. Seth then lifted the two to their feet and helped dust them off.

"I'm impressed! You managed to stop us swiftly without being seriously injured!" Prince Desmond said.

"It's all about perception and the timing of moves, Your Majesty." Seth said. Prince Desmond then shook his head before smiling.

"Just call me Desmond." He said. Seth nodded and the girls ran over.

"Are you two alright? He didn't hurt you, did he?" Sofia asked.

"We're fine, Sofia." James said.

"All he did was stand in a defensive position at the beginning. He never tried to attack!" Princess Clio said.

"For that reason," Desmond said, "we underestimated him. We had thought he underestimated us, and went to finish him quickly."

"One of the basic rules of combat," Seth spoke, "and a rule you should keep in mind. Never underestimate your opponent."

"I don't see why that is." Princess Clio said.

"Because they could be feigning weakness to save their strength when your guard is down." Seth said. Princess Clio gasped before looking to Desmond.

"Is that why you and James were defeated?" She asked.

"It is. Seth is a master of combat. I can tell." Desmond said. Seth then glared to his right and caught an arrow that was headed for Princess Clio with his left hand. Princess Clio gasped in shock before looking where the arrow came from and saw a Royal Guard with an archer. Seth glared at the two and they tensed up.

"S-sorry! M-m-my hand s-s-slipped!" The archer said. Seth then snapped the arrow into pieces by gripping it tight, the sound causing the archer to jump back in fear. Seth let the arrow go and the pieces in his hand fell to the ground.

"That sound will be your spine if you don't watch where you're aiming. Understand?" Seth asked.

"Y-y-y-yes, si- I mean, Your Majesty!" The archer said. Seth looked at the guard.

"Confine him to the barracks for three hours," he said, "then return him to his post."

"Yes, Your Majesty!" The guard said. The two then walked towards the barracks and Seth sighed before looking at Princess Clio.

"Are you okay, Princess Clio?" He asked.

"J-just Clio is fine," she said, giving a slight blush, "and y-y-yes, I'm okay." Seth nodded.

"Sorry you had to see that." He said.

"It's fine. You were doing your job." Clio said. Baileywick then approached and gave a smile.

"Your carriages are here, Young Majesties! Time to get going to school!" He said. Sofia grabbed Seth's hand and smiled.

"Come on! You're gonna enjoy this!" She said.

[Moments later….]

Seth stood in front of Royal Prep and nearly fainted.

"This is a SCHOOL?!" He asked.

"Indeed it is!" Desmond said.

"Come on! We'll show you around!" Sofia said. Seth started to walk up the stairs, but stopped as his instincts kicked in and he looked around, going on alert. James saw this and stopped.

"Is everything alright?" He asked. Seth then sensed a figure on his right and looked towards it. However, he saw nothing.

"Yeah," Seth said, "just my nerves." He then continued up the stairs and they all walked in. Sofia then stood next to Seth and leaned closer to him.

"That wasn't your nerves, was it?" She whispered.

"I had sensed trouble. The moment I sense it again, I'll give a signal." Seth whispered. Sofia grabbed Seth's hand, interlocking her fingers with his.

"Just squeeze my hand." She whispered. Seth nodded and they walked forwards. Seth took in everything he saw and they explained each room. When they got to their classroom, three fairies stood inside.

"Welcome! I take it this is Seth?" One, clad in red, asked.

"Yes, Miss Flora." Sofia said. The three then approached and smiled.

"Welcome to Royal Prep, Seth." Another, clad in blue, said. Seth nodded, but soon went in alert and gripped Sofia's hand. She gasped and looked at Seth.

"You sense it here?" She whispered. Seth nodded and the fairies looked confused.

"Is everything alright?" The third, clad in green, asked. Someone then approached and Seth looked.

"Who's the new guy, Sofia? Your personal guard?" The person asked. Seth saw it was a bot and Sofia sighed.

"This is Seth, Hugo. He's a newly-made Prince of Enchancia." Sofia said.

"Then why the uniform?" Prince Hugo asked.

"He's also the Enchancia Royal Investigator." Sofia said. Seth gripped Sofia's hand harder and it caused her to go on alert.

'Hugo is the source?' She thought. Prince Hugo merely grinned.

"Then he should have no problem with the lesson today. I happen to have gotten a head start on it." Prince Hugo said. Seth looked at the desks and saw a book he recognized. The three fairies then gasped in shock.

"Y-you mean?!" One asked. Seth glared at Prince Hugo before forcing Sofia behind him and standing defensively, stunning everyone in the room.

"I won't let you lay a finger on her." Seth spoke. Prince Hugo gave a look, feigning shock.

"Who-ho-hoa! Easy there! I just want to give her a hug." Prince Hugo said.

"Seth? What's going on?" Sofia asked.

"Those books on the desk are all the same. They're science textbooks. The pages they're on currently detail the reproductive system. That's today's lesson for science. When I heard him say he got a head start," Seth spoke, "I immediately knew what he meant. I did some reading before we practiced my dancing. One of the books I read was that science textbook. I read about the reproductive system already, and I know there's two types: sexual and asexual. Asexual is most common in a variety of plants. However, sexual reproduction is a different story. With sexual reproduction, a sperm cell fertilizes an egg cell."

"What does that have to do with Hugo?" Sofia asked.

"He had said he got a head start on the lesson. That means he already experienced sexual reproduction. I just have one question for you, Prince Hugo." Seth spoke.

"Alright. I'll allow one question. Don't hold back!" Prince Hugo taunted. Seth gave a glare before looking to Vivian, Clio, and Amber. They soon realized what the question was and paled. Seth looked back to Prince Hugo at that point.

"Did they consent to it?" He asked. Prince Hugo's blood ran cold and he went as pale as a ghost. The three fairies gave a stunned look, but remained speechless. Sofia then realized why Seth asked that question.

"Hugo," she asked, worried, "y-you didn't… force it, did you?" Prince Hugo palled further and Seth had his answer.

"Vivian's bruise and the way she acted when I brought it up gave it away. Also," Seth spoke, "when I sparred with James and Desmond, you noticed how I had grabbed their ankles. Clio had reacted to that. Almost as if they had sustained injuries to their ankles. When I grabbed them, I felt bandages, telling me they had injured them. However, I suspect it was because of rope burn from when Prince Hugo tied them up and forced himself onto Amber, Clio, and Vivian!" Prince Hugo tensed up and grit his teeth.

"Damn you!" He said, charging with a balled fist. Seth blocked the punch Prince Hugo threw before grabbing his wrist, moving to the side, twisting his arm, and kicking a leg out from under him, forcing Prince Hugo to the ground and putting the twisted arm behind Prince Hugo's back.

"Prince Hugo," Seth spoke, "in the name of King Roland, Ruler of Enchancia, I hereby place you under arrest for being suspected of the crime of rape. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you as evidence in a court of law. You have the right to counsel. If you cannot find counsel on your own, it will be provided for you by the courts. You have the right to counsel during questioning. Should you see fit to it, you can refuse to answer questions at any point, and request counsel. Do you understand these rights I've read to you, and the nature of the charge against you?" Prince Hugo gave a pained look to Seth before grunting in pain.

"I refuse to speak without counsel present!" He spoke, his voice sounding pained. Seth then looked to the three fairies in seriousness.

"Would you happen to know a restraint spell," Seth inquired, "or perhaps have some rope?" The red-clad fairy then flew to the big desk at the front of the room and opened a drawer. She then pulled out some rope and flew over to Seth, holding it out. Seth took it and grabbed. Prince Hugo's other arm, pulling it behind his back, and tied his wrists together in a handcuff knot.

"GEAH! Not so tight!" Prince Hugo complained.

"Oh, shut up! You deserve it!" James said. Sofia gasped and looked at James.

"Wait," she said, "was Seth right?!"

"Unfortunately for Hugo, yes." Desmond said. Seth looked to them and gave an apologetic look.

"I'm gonna need your statements." Seth said.

[Thirty minutes later….]

Two Enchancia Guards led Prince Hugo, who was still restrained with rope, towards a carriage specifically made for prisoners as Roland, King Garrick (Prince Hugo's Father), and the King of Corinthia stood before Seth, who was standing at parade rest after finishing giving his report.

"To think that Hugo would resort to such lengths!" King Garrick spoke.

"I agree," the King of Corinthia spoke, "this is most unsettling. I shall have Clio tested in a few weeks."

"As will I with Amber," Roland said, "and I will pass this all on to Vivian's parents, King Marcus and Queen Cecily. I'll be having tea with them while discussing an important matter."

"Should I accompany you, Your Majesty?" Seth asked.

"No," Roland said, "that won't be necessary. You shall remain here, Seth, and continue your studies and duties." Seth nodded.

"As you wish, Your Majesty." Seth said.

"I'll send word to Desmond's parents. They deserve to know." King Garrick said.

"I agree." Roland said.

"You're dismissed, Royal Investigator McGarrett." The King of Corinthia said. Seth went to attention and saluted before lowering the salute and doing an about face before walking towards the classroom. As he walked, he saw Sofia approaching him. She stopped in his path and he stopped in front of her.

"I'm sorry you had to see that." Seth said. Sofia then hugged Seth tight. He was stunned at first, but returned the embrace.

"Thank you for stopping him." Sofia spoke.

"Just doing my duty as a Royal Investigator." Seth said. The two then looked into each others before smiling and sharing a kiss.

[Centuries later….]

A large crowd with cameras was walking through as a tour guide held up a flag and stopped them.

"Alright, everyone. We're about to visit a very special place. I ask that no flash photography be taken." The guide said. Everyone nodded in understanding and they continued forwards until they stopped in front of a crypt. A young child looked scared, but was soon comforted by their mother.

"What is this place?" Someone muttered.

"For those wondering," the guide said, "this is crypt that contains the Royal Family of King Roland II. Within its walls lie the six bodies that guided Enchancia to what you see today."

"Excuse me?" Someone asked.

"Yes, sir. A question." The guide said.

"Weren't there only five members of the Royal Family of King Roland II? Why are there six bodies in the crypt?" The person asked. The guide smiled.

"A good question. The sixth body inside belongs to Enchancia's first ever Royal Investigator, Seth McGarrett. He was real close with the Royal Family," the guide said, "and had even won the heart of Princess Sofia. Royal Investigator McGarrett had pioneered the Enchancia Guard's investigative tactics, which later became the foundation for the Enchancia Royal Police Force. His skill was unmatched by anyone. Thus, he was always called 'The Closer' amongst members of the Royal Guard. The first case he had ever solved was that of his own parents, then he had revealed the truth of the death of one of his ancestors before fighting off assassins who were looking to kill him. However, the one case he felt bad about what he experienced, was when he had arrested Prince Hugo for rape. That same day, as they all were preparing for bed, a loud explosion was heard. They ran to investigate, but never lived to see the next day. For the explosion had caused the castle to collapse. Royal Investigator McGarrett had shielded Princess Sofia as much as he could. When the remains were found, they had found Princess Sofia and Royal Investigator McGarrett holding each other close and kissing, a large piece of metal impaling the both of them. Some say that their spirits still wander the castle grounds, since they had died at such young ages." The child looked before giving a silent gasp. There, standing before the crypt, were Seth's and Sofia's spirits. They smiled at the child before turning and walking into the crypt, holding hands as they turned.

"Mommy? Do you think I'll ever find true love?" They asked. Their mother smiled and placed a hand on their head.

"Maybe if you believe hard enough." She said.

"Alright," the guide said, "that's enough of this place! We still have plenty more to see! Let's get to it!" The group all walked off and the child turned and looked at the crypt again before giving a soft smile.

'Someday,' the child thought, 'I hope to become a cop like Seth, and change the view of law enforcement in a good way.' The group looked continued walking, the child looking away. No one bothered to look back as the spirits of Roland, Miranda, James, Amber, Sofia, and Seth all stood together, smiling happily.

" Do you think that child saw us?' Sofia asked.

" I know it. His instincts are sharp." Seth said, confirming it.

" Too bad we never had a chance to form families of our own. It would have been nice." Amber said.

" Let's not dwell on that." Roland spoke.

" I agree." Seth said. Sofia then grabbed Seth's hand, interlocking her fingers with his, and smiled.

" That's just what I like about you." Sofia said. They all then looked at the sky and their spirits faded, finally at rest.
