Holy Land
Mary Geoise
"Are you serious?!"
"Are you saying you give up your status as a god and reduce yourself to a human?!"
"I have been a human ever since I was born." The World Noble, St Donquixote Homing smiled sweetly to the crowd who were in disbelief. Wanting to live a quiet and humble life, he decided he will move away from Mary Geoise with his family and live as humans. "I believe humans are wonderful! It would be more satisfying to live as a human. That is how I think."
Doflamingo curiously looked back at his father, not fully understanding what his father was thinking.

"Adequate assets and houses are ready for you there." The shipman stated to the family when they arrived at their destination.
"Thank you, that is all we need."
"Now, I will collect your Dragon ID."

In the world of perfection, the air smelt like gold, blessings felt like silk and living sounded like money. Riches and Wealth came in like candy and slaves were normalized property. So where were they? Was it because they moved to a new home?
"Father where are the slaves?! Let's go buy some!"
"Doffy, Rosinante... it seems we have to teach you everything from square one."
He glared at his father. What was he talking about? Just hurry up and get the slaves!

Doflamingo Donquixote, a fierce seven-year-old is the eldest son in the family, followed by his younger brother Rosinante although he is very much more docile. The family decided they will go explore the human market near home, maybe buy some food on the way. Unfortunately for Doffy, nothing seemed interesting. A bunch of humans selling fruits, vegetables and other funny looking accessories that looked cheap made out of low quality materials. Doffy wondered what was so great about this place? The more he spent his time here, the more incomprehensible it became to him - what is so great about this place and these… people?
Lady walked past the family quickly who looked like she was in a rush. But this was not acceptable in Doffy's eyes, how rude of her!
"Who do you think I am?! Bow down you lowly peasant! How dare you step in front of me?! Who do you think you are?!" Doflamingo felt irritated; who gave these lowly beings the audacity to walk in front of him and his family, the Celestial Dragons?! "Didn't you hear me?! Bring a pistol, I'll shoot you down!"
The market place immediately fell silent, the locals were now focusing on the scene to see what all the yelling was about.
The lady looked at him in shock, staring at the little blonde boy in disbelief. Doffy had a neat bowl cut with brown rounded sunglasses, and even though they were very opaque, his glare could be felt very strongly. He gritted his teeth so much you could almost hear it. He was displeased and so angry at the lady's arrogance. He shouted and told her off very loudly in the most hostile voice he could muster, yet she still stood there in front of him for a while looking dumbfounded.
"What are you staring at?! Bow right now!" He spat at her. For a mere second from his peripheral vision, the boy noticed a celeste coloured hair combined with ghostly pale skin walk by. She left an uneasy taste in his mouth. She wore a black tank top showing butterfly marks on her upper arm inked in chrome blue that looked more scratched into her skin rather than tattooed in. He didn't know why he noticed her so randomly at that moment of time, but that few seconds of vision felt like it was played in slow motion until she was no longer visible from his sight. The lady he deemed to be uncouth moved a bit immediately bringing Doffy's attention back to her.
"Somebody bring me a pistol!" He shouted.
~O~
The Donquixote family stared in disbelief and in shock. Their house was being burned down by the villagers. They barely lived in it too, why was this happening? Homing could only watch their living quarters get destroyed from afar with his family. They were standing behind the forest bushes hidden away from sight. The citizens of this land were extremely displeased at their former identity as the Celestial Dragons and were doing everything they could to capture them for revenge. The father in the family took his wife and his sons and ran as fast as he could so his family wouldn't face such cruel fate like their house did.
Days passed by, living their life running away while hiding at the same time resulted in the family becoming homeless, hungry and dirty. They were extremely hated by the citizens of this land the moment they realized who they used to be - on the very first day they migrated, very unfortunate.
Few days has passed since, and the Donquixote family were hiding and running for a long period of time - and for every passing minute, Doffy's anger towards his father grew.
~O~
Doflamingo and Rosinante were at the town's garbage area. The two were desperately scraping for food hoping they could find enough edible parts to eat and take home for their beloved mother. Even though the food smelt like crap, they were literally dirt poor who did not have the luxury to be picky. The two boys were also desperate not only because they were hungry, but also because their beautiful and wonderful mother... were so sick.
Father, for the first time in my life, I'm hungry eh!
While scraping for food, one of the town folks unfortunately spotted them and recruited others to hunt them down.
"Hurry Rossy!" He urged his little brother who was munching on moldy bread. Hearing more gathering footsteps, Doffy ran knowing his brother would follow him. It felt terrible, grown adults, both men and women were shouting to capture them while saying horrible things. What made it worse is that they could literally hear gunshot shooting their way, luckily they had a terrible aim.
The two were suddenly pulled away by a female they didn't know and she quickly took them into her arms. They were in a very narrow streetway and people who were trying to capture the two ran past them, too tunneled vision to even notice they were no longer in front of them. The girl who held the two was shaking terribly but she just strongly held the brothers against her chest, waiting for the sound of running footsteps to disappear. Doffy felt weird, what was this feeling? After being chased for so long he didn't understand this type of feeling.
Rosinante on the other hand started crying in relief, and she placed her index finger to her lips to try to quiet him down. He blinked and wiped his tears away nodding and she smiled at him weakly, patting his head. The three didn't exchange any verbal communication, but Doffy remembered very clearly how indifferent and peculiar he felt. Without saying anything, she gave them her backpack for them to take and lead them away from the town. With a final gentle pat on their head, she motioned for them to run when she made sure and checked that it was safe for the little ones to go.
The two nodded and complied obediently. Doffy looked back at the girl one more time before turning his head back in front of him, making his way back to their old, broken and rotten shed they now consider home.
Doffy immediately recognized the lady. It was the same girl he noticed when he and his family were at the market on their first day in this godforsaken place. Baby blue soft long hair with sharp maroon eyes. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he felt like meeting her was fate.
When they reached home, Doffy and his little brother immediately checked the inside of the backpack they received from the girl. There was fresh bread, water and processed meat, enough to feed them for at least 3 days. Rosinante was extremely excited! It has been so long since they had food that wasn't rotten!
"Mother look! We brought back some food!" Doflamingo shouted excitedly when the two reached home. Their kind, loving mother smiled gently who was tucked away on a dirty old bed.
"Welcome home Doffy and Rosinante-" She coughed violently who had been sick and bedridden for a while. Unfortunately, their mother isn't having the best health and everyone knew it was because she was consuming a lot of unhygienic food. Her body wasn't as strong as the rest of the family and was deteriorating each passing day.
Unfortunately for the family, that night was the last time they saw their favourite mother smile.
Father, mother is dead eh!
~O~
The father clutched his precious sons and balled his eyes out, begging on his knees to spare his children. The people that surrounded the family were cruel and merciless: they wouldn't stop stomping, punching and spitting on the family. They didn't care, they just wanted their revenge, they hated them so much for being a Celestial Dragon.
The Celestial killed one of the family's son because he tripped in front of them; another lady claimed her daughter committed suicide after three days when she finally returned home from slavery; another shouted and shared a story how he lost his leg and arms when he was a former slave because they wanted to experiment on his body.
The Donquixote family was very unfortunate - the father regretted how naïve he was thinking he could live harmoniously with humans when he quit being with the celestial. He paid for his naivety very greatly and he wished he could turn back time especially since begging the Celestials if they could be returned to Mary Geoise was mercilessly denied. There was nothing he could do to calm their anger (both Celestial Dragons and the citizens of this town), and there was nothing he could do to protect his family… he felt absolutely destroyed - he could only wish they would at least show some kind of mercy to his precious sons.
Rosinante buried his face into his father's shoulder, his desperate cries falling on deaf ears while Doflamingo glared at his so-called father, angry tears leaving his eyes.
Father, you bastard! What have you done, eh?!
Baby-blue haired girl who looked no older than 18 threw a smokescreen at the sight of such brutality. Doflamingo stared at her with wide eyes while Rosinante smiled ever so brightly. She aggressively grabbed his father's arm and dragged them away as fast and far as she could - it was her again! The only person who showed them compassion and kindness. Their bruises and cuts on their body finally began to hurt from relief.
Once they got away from the crowd she gave them a small ship. The family parted ways with their savior who remained on the island. She never spoke a word, she never replied to anything his father said, but she gently guided them and left them wondering why she helped them. The father even asked if she would go with them, but she shook her head and for the first time she spoke up and said:
"It would be more dangerous if I came with you."
The three Donquixote were alone once again but this time, with a large amount of money and food that was later found in the boat. They were lynched, severely beaten and humiliated but the three ultimately survived thanks to this girl. Doflamingo decided to engrave this experience in his brain while also building his frustration against his father for putting them into this predicament in the first place. This incapable, useless father of his. He clutched his bruised arm.
Father, for the first time, it hurts eh!
On arrival to a new island, the anger towards his father never ceased. Every second turned into minutes, minutes turned to hours, hours turned to days, and days turned to months. The little boy couldn't help it, no matter how he thought about it, his father was an utter disappointment who destroyed their perfectly happy lifestyle back in Mary Geoise. Why did he decide to come down here to mingle with them disgusting humans? Time didn't heal his anger at all.
Ten-year-old Dofflamingo shot his father in the head.
Rosinante went missing..

Loguetown
Gol D. Rogers Execution Day
The town bell rang loudly initiating the start of a historic event. Everyone knew of this dreadful day, yet at the same time most if not all anticipated to see the infamous wanted notorious pirate. He is the man who gained everything in this world and he walked proudly towards his death with armed soldiers surrounding him. He had black messy hair with a fierce grin that never left his face who was handsomely muscular and tall who had a prominent curved, black twirly mustache that complimented his big grin. People who awaited to watch him walk into his eternal sleep either admired and idolized him, or hated him as a criminal.
Her baby-blue hair danced in the wind as she stood with the crowd, watching the man walk silently not uttering a single word. Even from a distance she could feel his charming yet atrocious aura - a man very familiar with death. The chain rattled and echoed under the burning sun and nothing but their walking footsteps could be heard.
The bell did not cease to stop ringing until the man sat himself on the tall aisle - his soon to be death bed.
"Pirate king! Where did you hide your treasures!? Is it hiding somewhere inside the grand line?! You have it, don't you? The greatest treasure in the world!"
"Shut up-"
"Your one special treasure?!
One Piece!"
Gol D. Roger filled the open field with his laughter immediately bringing silence amongst the watching peers.
"My treasure?"
"Don't speak without authority's permission!"
"If you want it, I'll let you have it. Go look for it, I left everything in that place, One piece!"
The loud cheers filled the air as the pirate king was stabbed in crisscross with a two longsword held by two soldiers who hurriedly carried the execution in trepidation. Instead of ending the era of Pirate, Gol D. Roger used his own death and left a legacy that initiated the pirate era. He successfully aroused the gold hungry thugs to thirst for an adventure of their lifetime. Whether this was an intentional attempt or not was left to be speculated; but one thing was certain, he is now dead. The pool of blood began to surround his lifeless body, his grin never leaving him even until the very end.
She felt sick to her stomach; her ears were filled with people's exuberance yet all she felt was an air of blue followed by melancholy silence. She zoned out of the exterior babble. His last words may have filled treasure hunters with dreams and hope but all she foresaw was pain and suffering. The blood spilt from his corpse was all she could see, foreshadowing the consequences of this new era. It was a gruesome sight and with no strength left in his body, the shackles dragged his body down on the floor drenching Rogers corpse with his own pool of blood that was spilt all over the wooden floor. But the crowd's cheers never left the field; One Piece was confirmed real!
The grin on Gol D. Rogers never left his soulless corpse.
She felt chills crawl up her spine. Feeling nauseous she left the overcrowded area witnessing a barbaric yet historic event.
This was the beginning of everything.

.
From a not so far distance, a seventeen-year-old blonde dude with goggles on his head had a wide grin plastered on his face. He was tall and very pleased. Even though his white framed sunglasses were opaque, anyone could tell from a mile away how satisfied he looked. He licked his lips and let out a small chuckle.
"This is the new beginning. A new era has finally dawned!" This man was shirtless but he wore a fluffy feathered pink mantle around his shoulder.
Today was a wondrous day! Pirate Era?! One Piece!?
A familiar figure caught his eyes. That figure, that sight, it was something he would never cease from his memories. It has been 10 long years, there has never been a day where he has forgotten this female. Finding her here today at Loguetown was a mere coincidence, but it was a pleasant one.
Light blue hair isn't something rare, but it was the way she executed herself, the way it almost looked like she sparkled - he didn't know how to describe it in a way that fits his exact description on how he could pin-point her out - but he can, and he was not gonna let her slip through his fingers. He decided to closely yet discreetly follow her.
R_O_S_I_N_A_N_T_E
Sweat rolled down the side of his face. The sun wasn't as hot as he expected it to be but the lack of wind encouraged the humidity that was draining the soldiers energy.
Rosinante didn't mind the temperature too much though, he was just glad he was stationed far away from the main area, where most people would be gathered to watch the execution of Gol D. Roger. He was curious, but the possibility of seeing his inhumane brother was the last thing he wanted to do. He wasn't mentally ready for it and his father-like figure, General Sengoku, was understanding enough for him to be stationed near the harbour. He wasn't one hundred percent sure if his brother is in this town right now, but there was a high possibility that he will be since it's Roger, there is no way his brother wouldn't miss such a huge day. Doflamingo is, after all, the captain of the Donquixote Pirates. They weren't a huge threat yet but knowing him, he may be plotting something that will surely put him on the top of the food chain.
The soldier stationed next to him took a sigh, complaining about how unlucky he was since he wanted to see the execution. Rosinante felt that statement a little odd, why would you want to watch someone die? As in que a huge roar of people could be heard across the town. It sounded like a loud cheer and it definitely had something to do with Roger. He was curious but he would had to wait until his shift are over-
Someone bumped into him pretty hard. Rosinante almost fell. She was so pale it was almost as if she was a vampire. She felt oddly familiar and comfortable, but there was no time to ponder about those thoughts.
"Hey are you alright?" She looked up at him with her soft maroon eyes that contrasted the colour of her blue hair.
"I feel sick…" she whispered.
"Hey! Is she okay?" The soldier stationed across him shouted and asked.
"I don't know! She looks like she needs help."
"Yeah alright." The dude replied, taking an even deeper sigh. "Don't take too long though or I'll get in trouble!" No promise there, Rosinante thought and decided to carry her back to the Marines headquarters, taking hints to his wording.
"What is your name?" The girl looked like she struggled to talk, but she finally whispered,
"Raine…"

She felt sick to her stomach seeing the way Roger was stabbed to death. That scene suddenly brought in her worst unpleasant memory, it almost felt like that horrible incident from her past happened only yesterday. Her vision in front of her was blurry, her steps felt heavy and she could feel her own cold sweat sliding down the side of her face.
She felt almost comforted when she felt something soft collide against her. She could hear him say something to her, but it just sounded like mumbled words. She felt the person's soft hand on her shoulder and it made her feel secure. She slowly looked up at him and realized he was very tall, with golden blonde hair combined with sharp reddish-brown eyes.
She vomited.
~0~
Raine groggily and slowly got up from something soft. She realized she was on a single bed that smelt fresh and unused.
"Hey you woke up-" She turned to where the male voice came from and realized he tripped. She wondered how he could trip over nothing, the room looked fairly neat, empty even. The only thing that he could have tripped over were a small table in the center of the room. But he was nowhere near that table though. "Sorry, I am a natural cluts." He said while getting up. She flinched when she realized he was one of the Marine soldiers. On guard, she quickly got up from his bed and ran towards the door as quickly as possible. "What happened, where are you running off to-" Before he could finish his sentence, Raine pushed him as hard as she could.
She thanked the heaven he was pushed over… or maybe she just assisted him on tripping again. She didn't know, but she did not want to be here. She ran across what looked like a hallway running past a lot of marine soldiers. They all had a puzzled face wondering why a girl not even in their uniform was running.
"Wait!" He heard the blonde guy call out to her. Raine, of course, refused and looked for the exit.
"Is she a criminal?!"
"NO!" She heard him yell across while also running after her. "She is somewhat of a patient!"
Of all places, why am I here…. Raine cursed and ran towards the opening that was leading outside.
Raine didn't know then that this person would later become someone very important to her.
