Hi friends! I lately have gotten really into Law & Order: SVU, like it's becoming one of my favorite TV shows. I also should say that I am highly against family accounts on social media, because I feel that the parents who operate family channels are exploiting their children and filming their inappropriate, embarrassing, and uncomfortable moments when the children are too young to give consent, the fact that pedophiles watch this content, of social media accounts and on top of that, some of the parents who run these channels are just problematic and terrible people in general. One of the things that make me see RED the most, it's people who use children to their advantage, particularly when money is involved.
Also, I will be issuing a trigger warning for this fic. There will be some upsetting themes such as child abuse, child exploitation, and sexual assault. If that kind of stuff bothers you, I would encourage you to skip this fic.

*Thursday, September 22, Battery Park City School, New York, NY*
Mrs. Alejandra Rodriguez is taking her second-grade class on a field trip to the Bronx zoo. The children are buzzing with excitement and anticipation. Her classroom aide, Bethany Williams, is standing beside her. She asks him,
"Stephen, do you have a jacket in case it gets chilly?"
Stephen says,
"Aw, man! I don't have a jacket!"
Ms. Bethany says,
"Luckily, it's supposed to be pretty warm for a fall day. I think you'll be OK."
Mrs. Rodriguez is taking attendance before the bus arrives, and she says,
"Looks like you came prepared, Sofia. Muy bien! Me gusta your Encanto backpack!"

Little Sofia Ferguson smiles and says,
"Thank you. Mrs. Rodriguez! I do, too. My brothers and sisters drive Mommy and Daddy crazy with the songs!"
She laughs and the class boards the bus. At the zoo, the class is eating lunch, when a man with a black crew cut, a wifebeater, black sagging jeans, and beat-up air jordans comes over to Sofia as she is eating a peanut butter and banana sandwich. The man reeks of Marijuana and cigarettes.
"Hey, girl."
The 7-year-old looks up at the man.
"I know you. You're the girl from that YouTube channel, 8 family riders!"
She says,
"Yes, I am. Sometimes Mommy and Daddy film me and my brothers and sisters when we don't want to be."
The man says,
"You're so sexy. Young girls make me want to get off."
He instantly unzips his pants, revealing his genital area to the seven-year-old girl. Mrs. Rodriguez springs into action.
"Perdóneme, what are you doing? You need to leave my class and me alone."
The man smiles and says,
"I ain't going nowhere, Tamale puta."
He proceeds to reach up her shirt, feeling her breasts.
"Your breasts feel like the food bar at Chipotle."
He goes back over to Sofia, holding his penis,

Sofia stops at the door and sits before Mrs. Rodriguez.
"I just would like to ask, how you're holding up. I know what happened at the zoo was very scary and traumatic for you."
"Yes, it was. The man knows me from the channel Mommy and Daddy run called 8 family riders. Mommy and Daddy make me and my brothers and sisters be in it, even when we don't want to."
The teacher is very concerned about this.
"What do they make you do?"
"They recorded my big sister having a talk on camera and she didn't want it on camera, Daddy taught me and my little brother and sister to shake our bottoms at the camera, and Mommy filmed my sister being sick and not eating and making herself throw up. My big sister thinks she's fat and wants to lose weight and doesn't eat. They recorded my big brother hurting his head and bleeding."
Mrs. Rodriguez is now even more concerned. She wants to know what to do so that she can help her and look out for her.
"Oh, Dios mío. That doesn't sound good."
"Am I in trouble?"
Mrs. Rodriguez says,
"Mi niña, you are not in trouble in the slightest. I'm just very concerned about your home life. I will do anything I can to help you. Feel free to come to me if you need to talk."
"Gracias, Mrs. Rodriguez."
"You know I'm here for you, mi niña."
Sofia embraces her teacher and she exits the classroom. Later that night, Mrs. Rodriguez is in her office, with her Boston terrier, Bella, by her side, and a glass of wine and watching reruns of Friends. She pulls out her MacBook and searches 8 Family Riders on Google. She finds some very concerning articles, including one where a teenage girl with dark circles around her eyes looks emaciated, pale, and dizzy, one of Sofia crying after her hamster died, recording one of Sofia's brothers having an asthma attack and struggling to breathe and having to go to the Emergency Room, one video of their toddler being potty trained, and one of their son with a broken wrist and a bloody face. She even looks at some of the comments and sees things such as,
"Your teen daughter looks like a fucking skeleton. She is sexy and I wanna fuck her in the pussy."
"Why in the HELL are you recording your two-year-old taking a piss on a potty? Fucking gross TWATS."
"I love getting off on your kids. They're sexy as hell."
She also finds articles about Sofia's mother, Karen Ferguson, making insidious comments on her Instagram and Twitter that show hatred and apathy towards the black lives matter movement and microaggressive comments about black people, gay people, and trans people, and her father, Greg Ferguson's Twitter and Instagram that make pedophilic, racist, homophobic and transphobic comments, and one is that is especially disturbing is one about the Brent Tanner rape charges overturned that says,
"That girl should be punished. She didn't say no when he raped her and lead her on."
Mrs. Rodriguez writes an email to the principal, Mr. Daniel Garrison, and ccing the school psychologist, Dr. Mary Reyes, saying,
"Dear Mr. Garrison,
I am extremely concerned about Sofia Ferguson. We went on a field trip and a man who I believe is a pedophile went up to her and showed her his genitalia. I tried to come to her defense, and then the same man groped my breasts and made microaggressions about Mexicans to me. When I dismissed my class, I decided to keep Sofia for a few minutes so that I could talk to her and see how she is doing. She told me about how her family has a YouTube channel and exploits her and her siblings.
The channel is called 8 Family Riders. I looked it up and I saw a lot of very concerning and disgusting posts involving her and her siblings including her older sister suffering from anorexia nervosa, her brother having an asthma attack, and her crying over the death of her hamster. Her father and mother also made some extremely hurtful and derogatory posts on Instagram and Twitter about minorities, people in the LGBTQIA+ community, people of color, and immigrants. It made me very concerned. Please get back to me when you can with suggestions on how to help. Thank you.

At Target, a mother named Brenda Heckchester is with her husband, David Heckhester, and her four children, her son, Kyle, who is 14, is drinking a Chocolate cookie crumble Creme Frappuccino. Her 11-year-old daughter, Hayley, needs training bras because her breasts are developing. Her 6-year-old daughter, Malia, is drinking a strawberry creme frappuccino. Brenda is at the training bra aisle with her preteen daughter and Brenda asks,

She discovers the camera in her face as David says,

"Mom, can you please ask Dad not to film me buying bras?"
"You're not buying bras, honey. We are. You should be grateful. Besides, our viewers want to see this!"
Later after the bras are being paid for, Averie can't help but laugh at a rainbow lollipop shaped like a man's genitals. David pans the camera at it and she says,
"That looks like Daddy's peepee!"
David says,
"I'll buy it for you, sweetheart. But don't tell anyone!"
He goes to another counter to pay for the phallic lollipop and he unwraps the plastic and gives it to her, and she licks it. David asks,
