"I will be flying out with him this time and will handle it personally. We'll be there Monday afternoon so just make sure that the conference is set up for him. Thanks, Abby."

One thing Olivia hated doing was flying. She'd have to get used to it soon with all the conferences that Fitz was going to be speaking at for the next few months. Of course, most of them were too far away to drive to, leaving flying to be the only option. Luckily for her, the firm had many offices throughout the world which meant there were others that she could ask to step in if she had to stay home and Fitz needed something while he was there. Abby was a traveler for the firm so she would leave on different assignments whenever needed. This time, Olivia got Abby to go ahead of them to San Diego for the conference and set up. They had worked together many times since she started, and Liv had learned to trust her with certain details on assignments but others she wanted to tend to herself.

"Are you sure Mr. Grant can't keep you there? I can cover everything here. I know you hate flying," Abby asked her over the phone.

"He insists that I be there. Apparently there is no way out of it. I've tried. For three days I have tried all I could think of to skip this trip, but he is persistent."

"Maybe if you told him that you don't like flying?"

"Concur your fears he says. I tried that already."

"Alright then I suppose I will see you on Monday then."

"See you then, go get some sleep."

Hanging up, Olivia sat in her quiet apartment alone. Seeing the clock on the lock screen of her phone say it was 4:30 am, Liv decided to get a run in before getting ready for the day. She could use a little nap after being awake for days but would forgo it for now. There was too much to get done today before Fitz would arrive at the office. Grabbing her keys, phone and earbuds, Olivia laced up her running shoes and walked out. Going on her normal routine for the start of the day, she made her phone calls as she ran.

While Olivia ran her morning, Fitz laid in bed asleep until he felt the bed dip beside him. Opening his eyes, Mellie laid staring at him.

"Where've you been?" he asked already smelling the liquor on her.

"Downstairs," she smiled at him.

"In the cellar? Woman, you smell like you bathed in that hooch shit."

"You would love that, wouldn't you? Watching me bathe so you can see me completely naked again. Come on, lets fuck before you have to leave for work," she slurred her words as she tried to climb on him.

"Mellie, stop it. It's seven, I have to get ready for work. And you need to sleep this off."

"Then sleep with me. You don't have to go to work. You WANT to go to work."

"What are you talking about now?" Fitz got off the bed and rubbed his head, feeling a little sick from the smell of her. Before he could get an answer from her, his phone lit up with Olivia's name. "Morning, Liv."

"Morning Liv," Mellie snarked, mocking his tone. "Liv, Liv, Liv, Liv, Liv. Doesn't that little whore have something better to do at seven in the morning?"

Fitz walked out to the bathroom closing the door behind him to ignore Mellie's whining.

"Morning Mr. Grant."

"Liv."

"Um, Fitz. Sorry, did I call at a bad time?"

Hearing the tone in her voice made him smile. She was so worried about catching him at a bad time when she had to call him at home. "Not at all. What's up?"

"Henry is picking you up at 8. You have to be in court at 8:30."

"I thought I was clear for the morning?"

"I did too until I got a call last night that Andrew Nichols got himself arrested. His arraignment is at 8:30. On top of that, you now have two new clients coming in at 11 and Mr. Beene wants to discuss with you again. And your father has called me three times this morning."

"Jerry called you. For what?"

"He wants to be sure that Mr. Beene is meeting with you today."

"Damn it. Olivia, I'm sorry. He should not be calling you with anything."

"That's alright. It's what I am here for. Now, you should be getting ready and Henry will have your coffee and breakfast for you. So please be careful not to spill anything on the way to court."

Fitz couldn't fight the smile as she urged him to not make a mess. "I will try my best. What was Andrew arrested for?"

"Purchase of an underage prostitute."

"Asshole, there's no way they are letting him out with his record."

"I reminded him that I am not a miracle worker, but I will have you there."

Seeing the smile on his face in the mirror, Fitz laughed. She was his miracle worker. Anything that he needed was always done before he even thought of it. He was very lucky to have found her and had every intention of keeping her until he retired. By the time he turned 65 in fifteen years, she'd be almost 40. Fitz would have to keep her on as long as he could. He didn't want to train another secretary for as long as he lived.

"Alright, then I will see you in a few hours."

Sitting at her desk, Olivia turned her attention to the more pressing matters for the rest of the week. Making sure all court matters for the beginning of next week were taken care of, she realized one case needed to be worked on further and went looking for the file. Not finding it in the cabinet that it should be in she started to look around everywhere with no luck.

"Fitz had it yesterday," she reminded herself and went into his office to find it. Taking his chair, she started to look through the files on his desk. "I gave it to you. It must be here somewhere. You had to sign the letter. But you didn't give me the file before you left. Soooo….."

Walking into Olivia's office, Fitz was surprised not to see her sitting at her desk. Further in, he could hear her talking to someone and followed the sound of her voice.

"Where the hell did you put it? Shit." Olivia sat in his chair facing away from the door as she looked through his files. "North. North. Where is it?" Growing irritated, her voice raised more than she thought it would. "Damn it, Fitzgerald. Where the hell did you put that?" She yelled to herself.

"Ouch, Fitzgerald. Only my mom calls me that." Fitz announced his presence making her turn to look at him. He stood against the doorframe with his arms crossed watching her, seeing her get pissed off made him smile for some reason. "Maybe if I knew what you were looking for, I could help."

Standing up, Olivia put her hands on the desk and looked at him. Even with his arms crossed she could see the smudge from his jelly donut at the tip of his grey tie. He looks handsome today she thought when she saw him there. "Elizabeth North."

"Briefcase. I took it home last night to read the letter you prepared." How can she be that beautiful and be single? Setting the brief case on the desk, Fitz opened it and searched for the file. "Oh shit."

"No, no 'oh shit'. Just hand me the file and I can get to work." Liv held her hand out waiting for it.

"It's on my desk at home."

"Why? Why would you take it home? All you had to do was just read the letter and sign it. I gave it to you at 3:23 yesterday. You had plenty of time to read it. Two hours!" Liv walked around the desk to her office and sat down opening her computer files. Finding the one she wanted and clicking print, she grabbed it and took it into Fitz. "Read this one so I can send it out please."

Fitz read the paper she handed him quickly and signed his name to it. "What's wrong with me taking it home?"

"Did you see how fast you just read that? It took you less than five minutes to read it. Why couldn't you do that yesterday?" Throwing her hands up, she turned around and went to her desk with Fitz following behind her.

"Are you mad that I took the file home or that I didn't do it yesterday?" he asked. Only one other time had he seen Olivia upset with him. After a lunch date with Judge Richards, he returned to his office slurring words and falling all over the place. She'd taken care of him to make sure no one knew he was drunk when he arrived back at the office and yelled at him the next day about his actions then returning to work.

"I am not mad," Liv sighed and addressed the envelope to go out.

"I have known you for six months. I think I can tell when you are mad."

"I'm not mad Mr. Grant," she put on her best fake smile.

"Oh yes you are. All week you've been great at calling me Fitz and now it's back to Mr. Grant. Come on, Liv, tell me what you're pissed about."

Annoyed now, Olivia sat down in her chair and looked up at him. "I keep a very organized office. I know where all the files are and what needs to be done to them. When I handed you the file yesterday, I assumed it was going to be staying on your desk or brought back to mine before the end of the day. I saw no reason that it should have gone home with you."

"That's really the reason?"

"Is there another reason to be upset?"

"Liv, you need some therapy. Things happen. I will on occasion take home files because that's what I need to have when I leave so I can work from home for a bit. You need to relax and go with the flow a bit."

Walking back to his office, Olivia shuffled around a few things on her desk looking for something. "Did you eat breakfast before court or after?" she called after him.

"Before, why?"

"I hope no one else noticed the strawberry jelly stain on your tie."

"Damn it," he mumbled and took it off.

"Your father and Mr. Beene will be here in twenty minutes."

"Can't you tell them I am at court? Or I got held in contempt again? I really am not in the mood to listen to those two."

"You would rather be behind bars than deal with your father? And I need therapy?" Seeing the glare coming from him made her smirk. "I won't lie for you."

"Some secretary you are," he teased her.

"I think Olivia's a fabulous secretary." Fitz and Liv turned to hear the voice of Big Jerry Grant standing in her office with Cyrus Beene beside him.

"Dad," Fitz started but was cut off.

"What? She is. At least I can get ahold of her to get an appointment to see my own son. And being cute doesn't hurt either," he winked at her and headed around the desk to kiss her cheek.

"Always great to see you too, Jerry," she stood up and stepped in front of Mr. Beene. "You too, Professor."

"Still Cyrus, Livia. Have you eaten yet? You are too thin again. And sleeping?"

Shaking her head, she smiled and crossed her arms. "You are worrying again. Why don't you two go in with Mr. Grant and I'll grab you all coffee." Without waiting for an answer, Olivia left the room to get them.

Once everyone was seated in Fitz's office, Fitz spoke up before they could. "I won't do it."
