A young, slightly portly teenage girl was sitting in a bean bag while playing a game on her phone, chewing gum in her mouth while being interested in the game.

She has Caucasian skin, long hazelnut copper brown hair, and azure blue eyes with a slightly portly appearance.

She wore a long-sleeved light blue shirt, blue jeans, and pastel pink and white shoes.

The young teenage girl also wore a cameo blue sweater with a zipper on the front and a hoodie, and it was in the colors of peacock, sky, white, and dark blue, and the hems were in a frost blue color that reached down to her hips.

She also had black wireless headphones over her ears and wore black and dark blue rectangular glasses.

The door opened, and a young teenage boy stepped into the room, watching the young teenager play her game on her phone.

He had short, jet-black hair with Caucasian skin and steel blue eyes and wore a gray tank top with black shorts.

He walked over to her from the left and knelt to her height, saying, "Hey, Steph!"

She flinched after hearing the young teenage boy's voice and glanced over, losing her game as the screen showed the title 'GAME OVER.'

"Aw, dang it!" the teenage girl exclaimed as the boy smirked after watching her lose her game.

"Lost your game again, huh, Steph?" the teenage boy cheekily asked with a slight chuckle.

"That's because you scared me, dingus," the teenage girl named 'Steph' responded, gently pushing the boy's face with a hand. "Though, what's up, Marcus?"

She pulled her headphones down and switched her phone screen to her home page from the game she was playing.

"You've been sitting on that bean bag for two hours," the teenage boy named 'Marcus' responded as he stood up from kneeling. "You need sunlight or something to stretch your legs out, Steph."

"The window's open," Steph mentioned, pointing to the slightly opened window as she stood up from the bean bag. "It has a lot of sun shining out."

"So?" Marcus shrugged his shoulders. "That's not enough for you to soak up enough sunlight!" Then he paused and added, "Tell you what, Steph? Let's go on a mountain adventure!"

"'A mountain adventure?'" Steph asked as she perked. "You mean we are going to the Golden Peak Mountains?"

"Yep," Marcus nodded as he placed a sweater on his body. "You might want to bring some items with you, though. It's going to be a long walk through the mountains."

"And a lot of paranormal," Steph added, excitedly picking up an electronic device and placing it in her backpack.

"You're still into that paranormal stuff?" Marcus asked with a light chuckle, placing water in his bag.

"Yes, I am!" Steph responded with a huff. "There is a lot of ghost activity in the mountains, Marcus."

"That's because you believe in spoofs, Stephanie," Marcus rolled his eyes as Steph or 'Stephanie' lightly frowned. "But if you believe so, bring me a voice recording of a ghost speaking to you, okay?"

"Alright," Stephanie nodded as she returned to what she was doing. "Since I'm not going to have much room in my backpack for other things, can you carry the snacks and all?"

"That's the plan," Marcus chuckled as he took out snacks from the cabinet. "You need to get a bigger backpack, Steph."

"If I save up enough money," Stephanie added as she gently shrugged. "I'm still selling off many of my stories online and falling behind in keeping up with the dates."

"That's because you sometimes fall asleep from staying up all night," Marcus mentioned as Stephanie glanced away from him.

"That's because I-" "Got myself into a good idea, and I didn't want to lose it." Marcus nodded, finishing Stephanie's sentence. "I know, I know. You kept telling me this when we first met! I'm not new around here."

Stephanie rolled her eyes after Marcus had assured her and returned to what she was doing, placing her computer and other electrical devices in her backpack.

Maybe Marcus was right.

She did need another backpack.

Stephanie soon finished filling her backpack with electrical devices for her supernatural search, with a few extra items just in case one device died.

After filling her backpack with supernatural devices, Stephanie and Marcus placed their backpacks on their backs and headed outside.

'What harm can this hike do?' Stephanie shrugged to herself.

Unfortunately, it was a strenuous hike for Stephanie as she was trailing behind Marcus, who was walking ahead of her.

"H-Hey!" Stephanie panted as she tried catching up to him. "Slow down a little, Marcus!"

"That's your fault for taking all that supernatural junk with you, Steph!" Marcus responded over his shoulder. "Now, come on and catch up! We're almost near a campsite!"

"You didn't tell me we were camping!" Stephanie exclaimed, panting as she breathed heavily.

"No, silly!" Marcus chuckled. "That's our stopping point."

Stephanie sighed after Marcus answered her question and continued to follow him from behind, panting as she carried the heavy items on her back.

"I-I need to stop for a minute," Stephanie panted as she stopped. "You go on ahead of me. I'll follow your footprints."

"Alrighty then!" Marcus nodded. "Just don't get lost in the woods or fall off the mountain. The Wi-Fi around here is bad."

Stephanie nodded after Marcus explained and watched him walk farther away from her, sighing as she placed her hands on her knees.

"I'm really out of shape for this," Stephanie groaned.

Then, Stephanie noticed something from the corner of her eye and glanced over, seeing what looked like a waist-high column covered in moss.

"What's that?" Stephanie cocked her head to the side.

Since Marcus was not with her, Stephanie did not know what type of column it was or if it originated from ancient times.

So Stephanie curiously walked over to the stone column and looked at it, using her hands to wipe the moss off it.

After removing the moss from the column, Stephanie discovered there were strange handwriting carvings on it, but the most common shape she noticed was a pie-cut symbol at the top.

"Hey, wait a minute!" Stephanie perked up, seeing the symbol.

She reached into the pocket of her blue jeans and took out her phone, pulling up a news article titled, "HISTORIAN DISCOVERS A FORGOTTEN PART OF HISTORY!"

The picture shows a middle-aged historian holding a piece of paper in his hand with a faded picture of a round creature shaking hands with a human.

But it had the same pie-cut symbol in the corner of the page and matched the one on the column.

"I found another piece of history!" Stephanie excitedly exclaimed, switching the screen to a camera. "Oh, wait until Marcus and the others see this!"

She excitedly started taking photos of the column, scrubbing some moss off to look closer at it, removing the moss covering the words.

Stephanie still could not see what the rest of the words meant since some moss was firmly stuck, but decided to save it and come back later to gather items from her room to examine it further.

She soon stopped after taking another picture and looked at the photos, choosing which one was good to post online and to show to Marcus.

But as Stephanie looked through the pictures, she seemed to notice a blurred black figure in the background getting closer and closer with every photo taken.

A confused expression appeared on Stephanie's face after noticing the blurred black figure, and she glanced up from her phone after feeling someone was staring at her, only to be face-to-face with a ghost.

The ghost shrieked after Stephanie looked up at it, causing her to scream in return and stumble backward, tripping over a rock and falling backward with the weight of her backpack.

She landed roughly on her bottom after tripping over the rock and crawled backward as the ghost got closer and closer to her, shrieking as it lifted its arms.

Stephanie moved a hand back and placed it down to move away from the ghost when it landed on something solid but soon disappeared with a click.

The ghost stopped shrieking after hearing the click, and cyber blue veins appeared on the ground from where Stephanie's hand was, spreading from Stephanie's hand to the column she found.

In an instant, the column started to glow and lifted from the ground, showing more carved words and symbols.

Suddenly, another column appeared a few feet next to it, and another, creating a circle around Stephanie and the ghost as it now towered nine feet.

Then the columns created a barrier around Stephanie and the ghost as the ghost crashed into the shield and did not allow it to go through, shrieking as it scratched against the force field.

Stephanie noticed the same thing and stood up, dropping her backpack to the ground as she ignored the electrical devices she carried with her.

She ran over to the other side of the dome, where she had watched Marcus walk ahead, banging against the force field while screaming, "Marcus! Help!"

Then the columns started to glow brightly, and Stephanie and the ghost watched as it shone more before shooting beams at them.

The beams forced them into the center of the circle, and Stephanie's backpack filled with electrical devices that Stephanie carried with her ripped through and went into their bodies, along with an unknown item.

The electrical devices and the ghost started infusing Stephanie as she screamed in pain, feeling everything transforming, shifting, and combining.

After a few agonizing minutes passed, a blob of what seemed to be a mixture of the ghost, Stephanie, and the electrical devices landed in the center before crystallizing into a marble shape.

The barrier vanished after the crystallization was finished, and the ground split open in the middle, letting the marble fall through a tunnel.

Then the columns disappeared into the ground, leaving only the one Stephanie was staring at as it poked slightly out of the earth.

Meanwhile, the azure blue marble continues to travel through the tunnel it entered, going further and further through the earth, past levels of rocks and turning tight corners.

It soon fell out of the tunnel from a midnight sky ceiling before falling through the air, emitting a sound boom as it headed towards a forest.

The marble then crashed to the ground with a glass-like thud before rolling through the forest, leaving behind a drag mark and slowing down next to a rock.

However, the marble's sonic boom seemed to attract someone's attention from their work, watching the seismograph's bumps go up and down vividly.

"What the-?" an elderly voice mumbled, sounding confused about the seismograph going off. "That's weird. The seismograph does go this wild unless something is causing it."

Footsteps walked through the area before exiting the room, carrying a printed-out diagram of the seismograph.

In the morning, three strange creatures entered a room, looking confused as they were escorted by two others.

One has a yellow, completely round body and blue eyes.

He wears red and white sneakers with a pie-cut symbol and orange gloves.

The other is pink with pink eyes, and her hair is black with light pink highlights, in pigtails with red bands.

She wore red glasses, red and white striped socks, jet-black fingerless gloves, and black boots with silver buckles.

The third has a red body and green eyes.

He had blue curly hair with sky-blue highlights, coming out of a red-and-white headband with blue gloves, red-and-white wristbands, red, black, and white sneakers, and white socks.

Once they entered the room, the yellow one asked as he looked over at a stranger sitting in a chair, "So, President Spheros? What are we doing here?"

The room had a large desk with a window in the background with two flags on each side.

He has a green body, orange eyes, black hair with white sideburns, and wore a black shirt with yellow and black cuffs, a golden bow tie, and brown pants with yellow and black boots.

"You came here because Sir Cumference found something from his seismograph," the man, named 'President Spheros,' answered, mentioning the elderly with a hand.

He has a green body with spiky white hair, orange eyes, a large nose, a mustache, and black gloves and boots.

"And it is a whopper!" The elderly man, named 'Sir Cumference' exclaimed, showing the diagram to the three. "Look at the size of this!"

They noticed the massive points and dips, surprising the two with the strange scan from last night.

"Is that from an earthquake?" the one in pink asked.

"Then, how come we didn't feel it?" The one in red asked. "We could've fallen out of our beds from that huge shake."

"True," the elderly nodded. "Unless it could've been an E.S.P."

"An E.S-what?" the red one asked.

"An electromagnetic supernatural pulse," President Spheros answered. "It is where a powerful ghost, more powerful than Betrayus himself, can create electromagnetic waves that can affect everything in their path but are sometimes mistaken for an earthquake."

"And it is best to search for whatever or whoever caused that E.S.P," President Spheros responded. "We don't know what kind of dangers this ghost could bring to our Pac-World."

The three nodded after President Spheros responded, and the elderly added, "Just be careful with what kind of ghost or monster you are encountering!"

The three were outside, using hoverboards to scour the forest where the seismograph had detected the E.S.P for any unusual activity.

"Anything?" the one in red asked as they regrouped.

"Nope, nothing," the one in yellow responded. "We have been searching through the woods for hours and haven't found anything."

"I'm starting to think that Sir Cumference's seismograph was going crazy like him," the one in pink sighed, hovering next to them.

"Don't worry," the one in red assured. "We can still find out what caused the seismograph to go out of control." He shrugged and added, "Maybe we didn't look at what was right in front of us!"

Just as he had said it, the three crashed into something glass-like, and their hoverboards floated ahead before collapsing on the ground.

"Like that?" the one in yellow asked in pain.

They slid off what they crashed into and moaned in pain before noticing what they had slammed into.

It was a massive azure blue marble that was ten feet tall and was right next to a rock that was half its size.

"Holy mackerel!" The one in red exclaimed as they gingerly stood on their feet. "That is one huge marble!"

"We got to tell Sir Cumference and President Spheros about this!" the one in yellow exclaimed before turning to his two friends. "Spiral, Cylindria, you two stay here and guard the marble against ghosts or monsters. I'll go get President Spheros."

They nodded as they watched the one in yellow go off on his hoverboard.

Eventually, Sir Cumference and President Spheros arrived at the scene and were surprised to see the marble itself as Sir Cumference exclaimed, "I know I have been told that I have been losing my marbles… but not like this!"

"We found it like this!" Spiral responded as he mentioned the marble. "But we don't know who it belongs to."

Sir Cumference walked up to the marble and scanned it with a scanner, watching the screen stay green for a moment before beeping red.

"Yep," Sir Cumference nodded, stepping back from the marble. "This is what created that E.S.P."

"This marble?" Cylindria asked, looking confused.

"It seemed like it," Sir Cumference nodded. "Let's take it to my laboratory to have a full search of what it could be." He paused a little as he looked at the size of the marble and added, "Maybe I could do it in a different laboratory instead since it is bigger than the entrance."

So they rolled the marble from the forest and into the spare laboratory Sir Cumference had, managing to fit it through the garage door without having trouble.

Though, it was difficult getting through the forest without accidentally running over each other or crashing through anything.

It was hard to keep it from rolling away from them, but they managed to bring it to Sir Cumference's spare laboratory without destroying anything.

They pushed it onto a metal stand that was strong enough to keep it from rolling away as Sir Cumference nodded, saying, "There. That should do the trick."

Everyone was panting from pushing the marble into Sir Cumference's spare laboratory as the one in yellow asked, "How can something that seemed so light be so heavy?"

"Well," Sir Cumference began. "It can be heavier depending on how much glass you use." He chuckled a little and asked, "What do you think the glass artwork came from, Pac?"

"Sculptors?" the yellow one, named 'Pac' shrugged.

Sir Cumference opened his mouth for a moment before closing it, nodding, "You are half right."

President Spheros looked at the marble up and down thoughtfully before watching it pulse faintly, which caused him to take a step back nervously.

"Now then," Sir Cumference turned to the marble, not noticing the president was not close to the marble. "Let's start with the scanning."

Then he looked at one of the clocks and exclaimed, "Whoops! I forgot that you three have school today!"

They perked up after he remarked, as Pac exclaimed, "And we didn't know!"

"The E.S.P must've scrambled the electric current to the entire world after crashing in the forest!" The red one exclaimed.

"Don't worry, my boy," President Spheros assured. "I'll drive you to school today instead. That way, you can all be pardoned for the tardy."

Pac, Spiral, and Cylindria looked at each other with excitement before following the president as Sir Cumference said, "I'll give you the news after giving this marble a scan."

After the three walked out, he glanced around before exclaiming, picking up a beautiful light blue marble, "Hey! I found one of my own marbles!"

Meanwhile, a wisp passed by a massive black TV screen that showed the marble-like meteor falling through the air before crashing into the woods.

"I want that marble!" an angry voice exclaimed as the sound of slicing went through the air. "Whoever or whatever is trapped in that marble must be more powerful than me!"

"But, your Majesty!" exclaimed another voice as the shadows showed floating figures. "You don't know how much danger that person could bring! They could even destroy all worlds if we knew it!"

"Silence!" the wisp shrieked. "I don't care how dangerous it is! I want it brought here so I can train it as my own! Right now!"

A fireball was launched at shrieking voices, but they all disappeared as the angry voice continued as it had a video of Pac, "Then I'll finally take over Pac-World and defeat that Pac-Man!"

The angry voice then started to evilly laugh before going into a coughing fit and exclaiming, "Bring me something to drink!"

Meanwhile, Sir Cumference used a device to scan the marble as it emitted a light blue from the scanning beam.

It scanned from top to bottom as robots moved around the marble, checking if the metal stand would keep it still.

Sir Cumference watched the screen thoughtfully as the marble's picture appeared slowly on the computer's screen.

The outer shell was cold, but for some reason, the inner part of the marble was strangely… warm.

"How peculiar," Sir Cumference mumbled after watching the marble's picture with the scan appear on his monitor. "It's like an egg!"

He glanced back at the marble-like egg and noticed the color had changed to a somewhat darker color as if it had found heat.

"Hmm," Sir Cumference softly hummed. "If the marble is an egg… how did it emit such a powerful E.S.P?" He paused and added, "And where is the mother bird?"

Beeps and boops came from one of the robots as it moved its clawed hands near its chest as if it was saying something to Sir Cumference.

"Oh, don't be ridiculous, Grinder!" Sir Cumference rolled his eyes. "I think its mother must've abandoned it. …Maybe I could find a way to hatch this egg to find what is inside it."

The robot, Grinder, facepalmed after Sir Cumference mumbled, feeling it would not be a good idea.

For the rest of the day, Pac and his friends, Spiral and Cylindria, were in school learning about the history of their world, even about Pac-World War I and II.

However, Pac could not get that thought about that strange marble out of his head, feeling curious about what it could be.

He even sometimes gets in trouble with the teachers slightly because of how distracted his thoughts are, sometimes getting himself reminded a few times to focus.

Luckily, he pulled through school with a few distractions here and there, but it was not too bad in the beginning.

When school was over, Cylindria's phone started buzzing, which caught her attention, saying, "Hold on, Pac."

She took her phone out of her backpack and looked at the screen as it read, "Come to the laboratory! I just figured something out!"

So they used their hoverboards to head to the laboratory, only to feel an intense heat hit them once they entered.

"Geez, Sir Cumference," Spiral remarked, wiping sweat from his forehead. "Why do you have the heat turned all the way up?"

"That's because this isn't any ordinary marble," Sir Cumference remarked, not bothered by the heat as he was using a thermometer to scan the marble, checking its heat to ensure it would not cook. "It's a marble-like egg!"

"An egg?!" all three exclaimed.

"Yep!" Sir Cumference nodded as he returned to their height from the device he was on, showing them the printed papers of the scan. "The scans show there is activity inside the marble!"

The printed picture showed what seemed to be a heated blob with a cold outer shell, and it did look like an actual egg.

"And is that a good thing?" Spiral asked, looking back at Sir Cumference.

"I'm not sure," Sir Cumference said, shrugged. "But I am warming it up to see what kind of creature pops out after it hatches!"

The three exclaimed, "No!", "What are you thinking?" and other words, including Grinder, who agreed with them about the idea.

"Oh, don't get yourself in a twist!" Sir Cumference chuckled as they stopped. "Whoever this is, is just a baby! They can't do any harm if you raise it right!"

"I hope you're right about that," Cyliderina quietly moaned, worried about what Sir Cumference might unleash.

After learning what the marble was, they nervously awaited the news with silent hopes that it would not be disastrous for Pac-World.

It lasted until the night when Sir Cumference fell asleep from watching the marble hatch from all the heat, along with Grinder and a monster-like pet.

Unfortunately, Sir Cumference picked the wrong moment to fall asleep as the ghosts had already found his spare laboratory and swarmed, getting ready to take the marble.

They were used to the heat as they were dripping slightly, but they continued swarming the place while avoiding waking Sir Cumfercence.

…If only they got through the force field Sir Cumfercence had put up around the marble.

However, their attempts accidentally caught Pac's attention when one of them passed by the window when Pac woke up to take a little snack.

So Pac, without thinking, ran after the ghosts without warning his friends to chase after them, eventually running into the spare laboratory to see the ghosts swarming the marble.

They were wielding items in their ghost-like hands and trying to break through the barrier while remaining quiet to prevent Sir Cumference from waking from his sleep.

"Okay," Pac quietly spoke as he took out a yellow microphone-like device. "Let's munch on these ghosts!"

He opened the device and ate what seemed like a berry, soon flying in the air, and the ghosts instantly turned blue after seeing him fly.

One by one, Pac chomped on the ghosts as they tried flying away from him, but with bundles and groups, Pac kept eating each one.

The ghosts eventually break through the barrier by destroying the cord that connects to the device, nearing the marble.

Pac saw what happened and used another berry, transforming his body into a metallic appearance with titanium skin, bolt-shaped eyebrows, red and blue gloves, and shoes.

After the transformation, Pac sped up eating the ghosts, using his new appearance's abilities, and soon ate the last one.

As the berry's ability had stopped once the last ghost was eaten, Pac landed on the ground, rubbing the bottom of his body with his hand as if he was full.

"Now that is what you call a midnight snack," Pac remarked before closing his mouth.

Suddenly, Pac unleashed an almighty belch, echoing the entire laboratory from his loud burp as millions of eyes launched out of his mouth in groups of two.

All eyes went out the window after Pac gave an almighty belch, almost losing his balance from his burp but placing a hand on something to keep his balance upright.

"That's much better," Pac sighed, patting his belly with his other hand before noticing Sir Cumference asleep in his work chair. "I'm surprised Sir Cumference did not wake up from that."

After giving the almighty belch, Pac glanced over at what he placed his hand on… only to see he had touched the marble.

Pac yelped after realizing he had touched the marble and quickly moved his hand back, taking a few steps back, and waited for something to happen.

Luckily, nothing did, and he peeked over his hands in front of him, sighing in relief.

"That was close," Pac murmured, wiping his forehead with the back of his hand.

A soft crack went through the air as Pac flinched, seeing a small break on the top of the marble.

"Uh oh…" Pac winced after seeing the crack.

The crack started forming from the top of the marble as Pac panicked, realizing the marble was hatching!

"What should I do?!" Pac panicked as he ran around. "What should I do?! What should I do?!"

Then, he noticed some duct tape, and an idea popped in his head, running over to the roll and picking it up as the cracks formed more.

Using the duct tape as fast as he could, Pac tapped each crack on the marble with duct tape, taping everywhere around the marble.

After the last strip of duct tape was off the roll, Pac looked at the marble after finishing it, seeing it was covered entirely in duct tape.

"That should hold it," Pac nodded as he tossed the empty roll over his nonexistent shoulder.

Unfortunately, the duct tape did not hold the cracks as it started tearing, causing Pac to panic as it completely ripped, finally breaking apart and spattering blue goo on the lab floor.

But amid the rip was a thud as something huge emerged from the shattered marble and landed right in front of Pac.

It shook the ground slightly, but Pac kept his balance, preparing to face whatever had emerged from the marble.

But what he found lying in front of him shocked him.

On the laboratory's floor was not a baby bird, dragon, or anything but a strange humanoid lying on its back.

It was taller than Pac or anyone in Pac-World, but it had the strangest appearance he had ever seen!

It had an almost chunky body with silver metal skin and long dark blue hair-like wires that reached down to its ankles.

The humanoid also has robotic cat-shaped ears and a long, fluffy tail, also made of hair-like wires, and has hind legs with short black claws.

Its body is covered with sleek metal-like armor all over but stops at the wrists and ankles.

The armor was in royal azure with an electric blue lining and looked unconscious as it did not move.

This sight of the strange humanoid confused Pac from its appearance, glancing around the stranger as he knelt to its height.

"What is this thing?" Pac muttered curiously.

He stared at the robot cat-like humanoid before it started stirring, catching Pac by surprise as he stared eye-to-eye with azure eyes with black scleras.

The robot cat-like humanoid shrieked after seeing Pac staring at it and caused Pac to scream too, moving backward but tripping over an item on the ground.

It scrambled onto its feet after Pac moved and turned its attention to him, all its hair bristled to the tips and glancing around frantically.

Pac stared at the being for a moment as it looked around, its expression changing from confusion to shock, then looking at its body.

He stood back onto his feet as the robot cat-like being started panicking, looking at every inch of their body, and as he tried to calm her down, "Okay, calm down. You're in Sir Cumference's extra laboratory. I'll wake him up and-"

He got too close to the robot cat-like being as it flinched, moving away from him, tripping over its own tail, then on its own feet, and landing on its bottom.

"Are you okay?" Pac asked, walking up to them. "Here, let me-"

He moved a hand to it to help it up onto its feet, but it panicked further and swiped its hand at him, scratching him with its claws across its cheek.

Pac exclaimed in pain after the robot cat-like being scratched his cheek and placed a hand on it as the robot cat-like being stopped, seeing it had drawn dark orange blood.

"What was that for?" Pac asked, glancing back at the being as there were a few drops on his gloves' tips. "I was trying to-"

The robot cat-like being scrambled to its hands and feet and started running towards the open door Pac accidentally left open.

"Hey! Wait!" Pac exclaimed as he chased after it.

But it ran out of the door after tripping over wires and falling outside with a shriek.

As it fell, it shifted into an entire cat and ran towards the city as Pac watched worriedly.

Then, it went into the bushes of the forest part of the city, disappearing out of sight.

"Pac…?" Pac stiffened after hearing a tired voice and glanced over, seeing Sir Cumference awake as he rubbed one of his eyes while blinking. "What are you doing up?"

Then, he noticed the mess in his laboratory and the marble destroyed, a pile of dark blue goo in front of it with Pac nearly out of the door.

He glanced at Pac with a shocked expression on his face as Pac said while shrugging his shoulders as he was still bleeding from his cheek, "Um, I can explain?"
