In the city of Cairo, 3 dark figures were breaking into a museum. Why would they break into a museum for? To steal the Clockwerk parts. Who is Clockwerk, you may ask? Clockwerk was a Eurasian eagle owl that was the leader of the Fiendish Five and nemesis of the Cooper Clan. He was consumed by jealousy for the Cooper Clan's reputation as thieves and hated them to such a degree that he replaced his mortal body with soulless machinery just to keep up with them through time. He was eventually killed by Sly Cooper, though his legacy continues to haunt the Cooper Gang to the present day.
The Cooper Gang heard that the Clockwerk parts were stolen. They didn't know who stole the Clockwerk parts, The Cooper Gang just knew that they were stolen. We then see a anthropomorphic raccoon being lowered down by a rope of some sort. The raccoon was a male. He was a grey raccoon. His name was Sly Cooper. Sly came from a whole family line of thieves.
Sly's father, Connor Cooper wanted to train Sly about being a thief. When Sly was 8 years old, his parents were killed by a group called The Fiendish Five. The Fiendish Five were a group of villains hired by Clockwerk, a robotic owl with a deep hatred for The Cooper Clan. This wasn't normal hatred. This was a deep hatred. Utter hatred. When Sly's parents were killed by The Fiendish Five, Sly was sent to an orphanage. There, Sly met his best friends: Bentley, a turtle with an IQ of 190 and Murray, a pink hippo with brute strength.
Together, they formed the Cooper Gang, a team of notorious thieves. 2 years ago, Sly and his gang set out to recover the Thievius Raccoonus, a book about all the exploits of the Cooper Clan. The Fiendish Five tore the pages of the Thievius Raccoonus. They took the pages of the book with them. The Cooper Gang traveled around the world to defeat the Fiendish Five. Sly successfully defeated the Fiendish Five.
2 years later, The Cooper Gang found out through a mysterious source that the Clockwerk parts were stolen. They didn't know who stole them. Now, here they were stealing back the Clockwerk parts from a Egyptian museum. Sly lowered down on a cable. He entered the museum. Sly pulled out his binocucom. On the binoc-u-com, there was a window that contained an image of a raccoon, updating in real time to match the reactions and expressions; in the left window corner, there was a turtle wearing a pith helmet.
"Breaker Alpha Foxtrot, this is the Wizard, do you read me, Sitting Duck?" the turtle said to the raccoon.
The turtle's name was Bentley. The raccoon's name was Sly Cooper.
"This is Peking Duck, I hear you, Blizzard." Sly jokingly said to Bentley. "
No Sly, I'm "the Wizard" and you're "Sitting Duck." Bentley said.
"I read you loud and clear, Lizard." Sly said.
"No I'm... forget it, you're not taking this seriously." Bentley said angrily.
"Yeah, I'm not. Look, Bentley, I know this is your first time out in the field but you've got to loosen up. If we're going to get to those Clockwerk parts I need you on your toes. So in plain talk, what's your status?" Sly said.
"Well, I've established myself in the basement, and I'm pretty sure I can rewire the service elevator if you can power it up from that security station." Bentley said.
"Hang tough pal, it might take some time, but I'll figure out a way to get up there." Sly said.
Sly shut off his binocucom. He went up to the rendezvous point. He waited for Bentley to appear from the elevator. Bentley appeared in the elevator. Sly followed his turtle friend to the rendezvous point. Bentley opened up the gate. When Bentley asked how he did on his first time on the job, Sly said that he did pretty well. Sly went through the gate.
Meanwhile, in the parking lot area of the museum, a human man who looked to be in his early twenties was walking down the lot. He was listening to music on his iPod. The man was Caucasian. He wore cheap sunglasses. His name was Baby. His real name is Miles, but he liked to be called Baby. Baby looked at a blue van that was parked nearby in the museum parking lot. Baby was a getaway driver. A damned good getaway driver at that. He always listened to his iPod whenever he was behind the wheel of a vehicle. Baby had an ear condition called tinnitus. That meant that his ears were constantly ringing. Baby had contracted tinnitus during a car accident that had killed both of his parents when he was a little kid.
Baby had been listening to music on his iPod to counteract the tinnitus. Baby walked up to the van. He broke the driver's side window of the van. The van was the Cooper Van. The van was light blue. It had a raccoon symbol on the side of the van. Baby unlocked the door. His music changed. His iPod was now playing one of Baby's favorite songs: Bellbottoms by the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. The human man got into the van. He was rocking out to his favorite song. He had no idea that in a few minutes, he would meet a group of anthropomorphic animals called the Cooper Gang.
Baby was in the van for a few minutes. He looked up to see two anthropomorphic animals running up to the van. Baby put the car into drive. He waited for the two animals to enter the van before driving off. He was still listening to Bellbottoms. Murray and Bentley were screaming at the human man to exit the van. Unfortunately, Baby was too busy listening to loud music on his iPod to respond. He drove crazily. He stopped the van upon seeing an anthropomorphic raccoon running toward the van. Sly got inside the Cooper Van. He went to the passenger side, where he usually sat. The raccoon saw a stranger driving the van. He had headphones over his ears. Baby drove the van crazily away from the cops who were pursuing them. Baby had managed to successfully evade the cops. The Bellbottoms song was over. He looked at the raccoon, hippo and turtle sitting in the van with him. They were stunned by how the human drove the van.
"Who are you and why are you driving our van?" The raccoon asked the human.
Baby turned his head toward the raccoon. He paused his music and took out one of his headphones.
"My name is Miles." The human said to the raccoon, turtle and hippo.
"My name is Sly. Sly Cooper. These are my friends Bentley and Murray." Sly said to the human, introducing him to his friends.
"Ok. Nice to meet you guys." Baby said.
Baby played his music and put the van back into drive. Baby and the Cooper Gang drove toward the city of Paris to begin the plan to take back the Clockwerk parts from the Klaww Gang.
