Part 14
PMDS
Johnny and Derek looked more like their father with olive skin and dark hair while their brother Steve had chestnut hair and fair complexion. Friends of theirs always said they got their looks from their father, but their genes came from the mother's side of the family. They were respectable, young boys from a farming family that always helped a neighbor out.
Johnny, Derek, and Steve arrived at Aunt's Fay house in their pickup truck. Noticing a nice Cadillac parked in her driveway, Johnny went to investigate while his two brothers waited for him. He was greeted by the two German shepherds they approached him barking in a friendly manner. Johnny frequented her place at least once a month in case she needed a handy man.
Approaching the screen door, he knocked firmly, and caught movement coming from inside the house. He heard footsteps and an unfamiliar female voice inside. Puzzled he screened his neck to see who it was as Della walked to the front door opening it slightly. Johnny stepped back from the stoop putting his hands in his jeans, took in her beautiful figure, gazed at her dreamily and smiled like a fool.
"I'm here to help out in the hay field today. Is Fay around the house? She wanted me to help her nephew, Perry. I had brought my brothers as well." He slumped against the door jam in a dreamy state looking at her like a silly school boy.
"Oh, hold on a minute, I'll get her," Della excused herself as he watched her walk away from him to find Fay. As she rounded the corner Fay, bumped into Della.
"A young man named Johnny is here to see you."
"Tell him I'll be right there, Della."
"She'll be with you in few minutes." Della said as she turned her attention back to the boy and gave him a friendly smile while she crossed her arms over her bosom. Della stepped back, and her ring sparkled in the light, causing Johnny to squint his eyes for a few seconds. He looked at her then back at the gem. Johnny was mesmerized by Della's beauty, but knew she was already taken by someone. He was about to find out who her fiancé was. His brothers were already dating and were in a serious committed relationship for a few years now, and he was the only one that was single. It seemed like every time he found a pretty nice girl, she was dating or married. He figured he'd meet the right girl when the time came for him, or he'd be a hermit the rest of his life.
"Hello Johnny! I'm glad you could make it. Perry is already out in the field. Della, this is Johnny. And the boys with him are his brothers, Steve and Derek." The older woman hugged the boy.
"Nice to meet you, Della."
"Hello Johnny, nice to meet you too." Della replied.
"Well, I better get going. We have a lot of work to do." Johnny eyed her chest and then his gaze ventured further south. He stepped back almost tripping over the porch step and walked briskly to his truck got in and started it.
"Johnny is a nice young boy. He's very handy when he comes over here. It's such a shame he hasn't met the right girl yet. His brothers are already dating nice girls, but Johnny's time will come one of these days to mee the right one." Fay told her looking on as the truck disappeared over the hill.
"You guys won't believe this. I just seen the most beautiful creature in my life." The boy spoke shifting in his clutch as they started up the incline and then shifted the gear back down.
"What are you talking about Johnny?" Derek jabbed him in the elbow as the truck hit down hard through the field.
"She's an absolute doll. I tell you. She's gorgeous and I didn't get a real chance to talk to her because I was nervous, but she did have a rock on her finger." Johnny glanced back over at his two siblings.
"If she had a ring on her hand Johnny, sorry to tell you, but she's not available." Steve told his brother as he looked over at him.
"So, what does it matter if she has a ring on her hand? I mean the ring could be easily taken off." Johnny sounded hopeful.
"She looks older than you Johnny and its' best to leave her alone. Who's to say that her man could be an important figure. He could be a football player or someone who works in construction. He'd beat you to a bloody pulp if he found you messing around with his girl. Especially a very attractive woman like her." Steve warned his brother.
"It doesn't hurt to have a conversation with her, now does it?" Johnny said, but his brothers remained quiet as they approached the tractor and hay wagon. Perry removed his shirt and was already a sweaty mess rustling the hay bales onto the wagon. He had at least ten stacked for the base before the boys joined him. Taking his shirt out of his back pocket, he wiped his sweat off his face, and draped it over the tractor wheel, and he gave the boys his undivided attention. Derek and Steve exited the truck and approached Perry as Johnny cut the engine and got out.
The three boys took in the features of the man whom they thought they recognized. They noticed he was tall, broad shouldered with a six pack for abs. His hair was curly from all the sweat. He was built like a Greek Adonis. The jeans made his ass look firm and tight. His torso was tanned from being out in the sun. His chest seemed to be chiseled into his body.
"Aunt Fay tell you we were coming out to help you today?" Steve informed.
"She did mention I'd be getting help. I do remember you fellows when you were little boys. You must be Johnny, Derek and Steve Harris. You all have grown since the last time I visited. It's been a very long time." Perry acknowledged them shaking their hands in a firm grip.
"Yes, I remember your name but it's been years since we all last saw you." Derek finally spoke while Johnny glared at him.
"So, what have you been doing with yourself Perry?" Johnny pried just a little to find out if Della was with Perry.
"I will be finally graduating law school this term. I should be getting my exam results back soon. I just got engaged to my wonderful, beautiful, gorgeous girlfriend whom you probably already seen at my aunt's place." Perry told them smiling as he turned his attention back to the field and climbed into the tractor seat, not wanting to waste any more time.
"Come on you, guys. Let's get this job done so we can go home." Steve said and walked to the hay wagon and hopped onto it and his two brothers joined.
"Didn't I tell you Johnny. The girl you fawned over back there at Fay's house. Not only was she spoken for, we are helping him." Derek hollered at him from across the wagon as the tractor's engine drowned out most of their conversation.
Steve tossed the hay bale up on the wagon while Johnny caught it with his hands and started to stack them on top of each other. The wagon began to fill up quickly as the boys tossed and stacked the bales. Perry stopped the tractor and grabbed a robe to fasten to the back of the wagon tying it off. The three boys now shirtless from all heat wiping their brows, then they all three climbed back into their truck, following Perry back to the barn to unload the hay.
As they heard them approaching with the tractor, Della assisted Fay in the kitchen making a pitcher of sweet tea and sandwiches for Perry and the boys. Della smiled to herself thinking of what kind of mess he'd look like when he returned and the young man that was suddenly sweet on her. She thought to herself he's too young for her and plus her feelings for Perry never was in no doubt. Della knew she was attractive, successful and most of all, wanted by the most handsome man she'd ever met. She couldn't help but blush a little when she was getting hit on by the young boy.
"Here let me help you, Della. There are hungry men out there, and I'm sure they'll need all the nourishment that they can get." Fay chuckled and started to wrap the sandwiches in a paper wrap and reached for three glasses out of the cupboard. Della looked in another cabinet getting a serving tray and finished the sweat tea mixing in the sugar and dropping ice cubes into the container.
As the women walked out onto the porch and slowly descend the steps, the dogs followed them happily as they walked out towards the barn. Entering the shade to the barn, the ladies waited for them as they approached slowly, pulling the truck to the side of the barn while Perry maneuvered the tractor to the elevator lift to hoist the hay up into the barn loft. Shifting the tractor into park pushing the brake pedal in and locked it in place he shut it off and climbed down. Taking his shirt and wiping his face again, he met up with his aunt and Della. Aunt Fay had a small bench out in the barn where she sat the food down while Della sat down the cold pitcher that already had condensation on the glass.
"I see lunch is provided for a starving man." Perry said to the ladies and quickly drank his tea in one gulp looking back at Della who was eyeballing his muscular features and his heaving chest.
"Derek, Steve, and Johnny help yourself to the sandwiches and tea. You guys did a wonderful job in bringing the hay in," Fay said as she handed them their lunch.
"Thank you, ma'am. We are not done yet, but this lunch is just what we needed." Johnny thanked her and looked over at Della who was standing by Perry handing him another glass of tea. Perry kissed her on the lips in front of everyone and put his hands on her backside. He gave her a quick squeeze, and she giggled. Della handed him a sandwich, which he unwrapped from the wrapper, consumed it, and watched her while he ate.
Johnny wanted the opportunity to speak again to Della even though she was more interested in Perry. It was a chance he was going to take. He might get pummeled, but it'd be worth it in the end just to get a chance to have a chat with her. Perry was a big man, and Johnny didn't want the risk of not being able to walk if he wanted to break his legs, Perry would do just that.
