Della had to brush off his advances in the shower to make their flight. Perry tried to keep his composure in the shower and as hard as it was, he managed. Della dressed in a sleeveless black sundress with white polka-dots. She paired it with a black pair of heeled sandals, scarf, and sunbonnet. A soft, white cardigan sweater to complete the ensemble. Perry was all smiles as he nodded his approval of the outfit especially her undergarments.

Perry put on dark slacks and a dark blue dress shirt with top buttons open at the neckline. Dressing in front of the mirror, Perry rubbed his cheeks and noticed he needed a shave, but he could wait until they arrived in Los Angeles. Della did a last glance in the apartment and checked to see if she forgot anything before, she left and joined Perry out in the hallway. They headed to the parking lot to his car.

Perry drove the car back to the airport rental agency and gathered his suitcase while Della picked up her own. Perry took the larger one of hers in his other hand. Turning his car keys into the car rental agent, while Della waited by his side and went over to the ticket counter to retrieve their airline tickets. Checking their baggage in, Della held onto the small carry-on since it had her grandmother's angel figurine. She didn't want it broken; it was given to her when she was just a little girl. The airport was busy during the mid-morning as people hurried past them rushing to their gates. Della looked down at her ticket for their departure time. Perry glanced over at her taking her hand and held it firmly.

"We have twenty minutes to spare, Della. I think our terminal is right down here." He pointed as he led them over to the chairs and took their seats.

"What are the plans when we get to Los Angeles, Perry?" Della asked crossing her legs.

"I plan on taking you over to my apartment, dropping our bags off at my place. I'll take you home to your parents and then you can meet my parent you later." Perry told her as he glanced at his watch again.

"Well, you had this all thought out, didn't you?" Della gave him a quick smile, and he squeezed her hand in response.

"Not unless you want to go to her parent's house first. That's completely up to you Della." Perry looked at her and the intercom announced their flight was about to board.

"I think it's best if we did drop by your apartment, I mean I'd like to see your place."

"Della it might be in an upscale location, but it's a small apartment for two people. It's not going to be big enough for us both. We'll have to start searching for an apartment once we get in town." Perry told her as he stood up from his chair, took her hand in his, placed his arm around her waist, and boarded the plane.

"I'd rather stay with you and since it has an extra bedroom. I'll manage alright." Della spoke as she turned her head to look the plane's window. The pilot announced over the intercom to take their seats as the flight attendants checked on the passenger's seat belts while they walked up and down the aisle before taking their seats in the back of the plane. The plane taxied down the runway as another plane made its departure. He stalled the engine, followed his route, and thrusted the engine while he slowly guided the plane down the runway as it slowly gained momentum and finally left the runway. Della peered down as the city got smaller and smaller, and Perry looked out the window as the clouds took over. The flight to Los Angeles was long, and the weather was good until they crossed over the Rocky Mountains and experience rough turbulence. A few passengers were shifted in their seats by the turbulence while Perry and Della held their own as she clutched his thigh in a startled reaction. Perry looked down at her hand and then back at her as she had a slight blush on her cheeks.

"Della, don't start something you can't finish?" He whispered in her ear and caused her to grip her hand on his thigh way longer than he wanted. Looking at him with a sly grin on her lips. she retreated her hand but not before he took it in his hands and gave her a lingering kiss to her knuckles. The flight seemed like it was taking forever to arrive in Los Angeles, and Della needed to go relieve herself, or she wasn't going to make it to the airport. Della shifted her feet uncomfortably and bumped her small carry-on which made Perry take notice of her as he stirred against her. A flight attendant passed by him glanced down and continued on her way towards the front of the plane when a passenger held up their hand.

"I really need to go Perry," Della told him as he moved out of his seat to let her up and she brushed the front of his chest with hers. He stood watching the sway of her hips as they seduced him as she disappeared into the lavatory. The young flight attendant came back down the aisle and interrupted him briefly while she went to assist another passenger. Sitting back down frustrated that she got away with flirting with him and there was nothing he could do, not unless, a wicked grin played on his lips and when the flight attendant passed by again, he had leaped into action. Finished with her task, Della unlatched the door as she checked herself in the mirror and suddenly the door swung open. Looking up quickly from the mirror, she saw a familiar face standing behind her.

"Just what do you think you're doing?" Perry's eyes lust-filled, as he inched forward waiting for her to reply. She put her hands on his chest then up to his stubbled cheek, and he parted her legs with his larger one, claiming her mouth with his.

"Perry, we're going to get caught. What if someone catches us in here?" Della nervously said as she kissed him between strangled breaths. He continued further down her neckline lavishing her while her hands tugged at his head and made quick work of grabbing his erection through his pants. She made him gasp against her chest. She loved the feel of his mouth on her heated skin and the thrill of getting caught up in the moment of their lovemaking turned her on even more. Making quick work of his zipper and releasing his erection, he lifted her dress up over her thighs, and slipped down her silk panties and dipped his finger, coated his finger with her wetness and withdrew his finger bring it to her face and licked it off his finger as she watched him with longing. Pulling her leg up over his hip he entered her with one thrust while the noise of the airplane engines muted their lovemaking it was pure bliss when she climaxed around him shuddering against him and he soon followed her with his own climax. Della slowly released her hold on his hips, letting her legs slide down his thighs. He buttoned up his slacks straightened up his clothes that were now wrinkled while she fixed her dress and noticed her underwear was soaked from the sexual encounter. Perry reached into his pocket and gave her one of the panties he had stolen away in his pants pocket which left him with one still for safekeeping. Handing her the clean garment, she proceeded to change while he tossed panty in the waste bin and washed his hands before he tossed a paper towel over it.

"You're stunning. Do you not realize that, Della? When you walked away from me and gave me that look over your shoulder and the sway of your hips, God woman, what you do to me," Perry kissed her on the lips as she playfully pushed him away from her mouth.

"Perry, I don't know what I'd do without you." Della turned in the mirror with her back to him fixing her hair while he leaned into her space. He nuzzled her neck and held her tightly before a loud knock on the door startled them. Perry waited until Della nodded her head at him as he reached for the door.

"Do you mind I have to use the lavatory! One is already occupied and you are taking more time than you…." The lanky young man stated before spotting Della behind Perry who then quickly shut his mouth.

"My girl needed help with her dress. You have a problem with that?" Perry questioned him as he narrowed his eyes and stepped closer to him as Della exited, giving him a brief smile returning to her seat.

"Um… no sir. I completely understand," he nervously replied and stepped aside so Perry could join Della at her seat. Not wanting to cause a scene, the passenger didn't want to be on the receiving end of Perry's large fists and ended the conversation. Noticing the flight attendants were still attending to other's needs and wasn't paying attention to him or Della, he sighed with relief. Della turned her head away from the window and glanced at him as he took his seat. Wiping her lipstick off his cheek before settling back in her seat as he rested his head back to take a nap and smiled.

An hour later the pilot announced their arrival at Los Angeles airport while the flight attendants walked the aisle making sure the passengers were secure for the landing and took their seats waiting for the descent to the airport. Landing on the runway and breaking, the pilot slowed the engine's motor down and steered toward the airport terminal. He cut the engine down while the escorts helped dock them to their destination. Passengers quickly unbuckled and exited while Perry and Della followed respectively. Following her up through the exit terminal holding her hand Perry spotted two familiar faces, it was his parents.

"Perry, over here. Darling!" The older woman expressed joy while her husband stood close by waving at him and Della.

"Della, I didn't know my parents would be picking me up." Perry looked down at her and let go of her hand and placed it behind her back guiding her to them.

"Mom. It's good to see you. How did you know I was going to be arriving so soon?" Perry gave her cheek a quick kiss and hugged her then looked back at his father then at Della.

"Your Aunt Fay. She phoned me this morning to let me know you and your fiancé would be leaving Chicago and she told me when your flight was. Perry, you can't keep secrets from your mother especially me."

"Mom and Dad, I'd like you to meet the most wonderful woman I've had the pleasure of knowing and we are engaged to be married, this is Della Street." Perry slipped his arm around her shoulders pulled her closer to him. Della put her arm around his waist holding him tightly, looking up at him as he turned his attention back to his parents waiting for their approval.

"I'm Alexander Mason and this is my lovely wife, Elizabeth Mason. So glad to meet you, Aunt Fay has told us a lot about you Ms. Street," he spoke to her while his wife looked on at her son and future daughter-in-law.

"We are planning on having a late dinner tonight, would you like to join us later?" Elizabeth asked them.

"Della, you up for dinner tonight?"

"I would love that, Perry."

"Great, it's good to have you back. Let's get your suitcases loaded and be on our way," his father told them and helped with the suitcases to his chauffeured limousine. As the couple walked to their parked car, Perry opened the door for Della and she skirted by him and he followed her in shutting the door. The chauffeur drove them to the Mason estate and Della took in the extravagant, elegant décor; waterfall fountains scattered across the grounds with shrubbery as privacy. The house resembled a grand mansion situated in the middle of a grand estate. The chauffeur stopped the limo at the entrance of the estate and cut the engine got out of the car and opened the door for them. Perry stood by the car while Della joined him.

"I'm going to drop my stuff off at my apartment. Della's parents live nearby so we are going to visit them before we return." Perry told his mother.

"Okay Perry, you want to drive your car, or did you want the driver to drop you off?" his father asked him.

"No, I'd rather drive myself. Della, I need a minute to grab my car keys." Perry hurried into the house getting his car keys and rushed out to the garage, pulling his Cadillac around to the front of the house and opened the trunk putting their suitcases in the car, and headed to his apartment. Arriving within half-hour at his apartment Perry found a parking space and cut the engine and looked over at Della. Della looked at the brick apartment building then back at Perry who took in the appearance of what he called home.

"Here we are, Della. It's a nice neighborhood and not too boisterous. You'll love it for a little while until we find our own place," Perry informed her getting out of the car and opened her car door then the trunk of his car, grabbing his suitcase and handing her the smaller suitcase while he took Della's larger one in his other hand, setting it on the ground before slamming his trunk down.

"Perry!" A familiar voice called out to him. Perry turned looking over in the direction in which the voice came it was his friend Paul Drake.

"Hey! I was just leaving I was checking on your apartment when you pulled up, I thought I recognized your car," Paul said and turned his attention to Della and her gemstone on her finger, which glistened in the sunlight.

"You didn't?! Did you?" Paul eyed them both making him laugh showing his dimples that Della loved making her blush too.

"Not yet Paul. It's in the works, not official yet." Perry held her close to him before she finally spoke to Paul. "How's Valerie? I haven't heard anything from her since I left Chicago. You keep in touch with her or did you break her heart, Paul?" Della eyed him suspiciously.

"She actually broke it off with me. She said long-distance relationship wouldn't work but wanted to remain friends," Paul sounded depressed turning his attention back to her ring.

"Paul, I hate to run but we must get unpacked and we have to go over to Della's parents and then back over my parents for dinner tonight," Perry grabbed his suitcase while Paul helped him with the larger suitcase and carried it for him.

"No problem, Perry. I have plans tonight so I'll catch you at a better time. Just one more thing, you better check your mailbox. I got my letter they sent it express mail. I passed my exam and I'm sure you received your letter too." Paul excitedly told him as he helped him into the apartment. Della followed closely behind the two listening to their conversation.

"Okay, Paul. Thanks for your help I'll call you later," Perry nodded to him as Della stepped into his apartment while the two men watched her enter and dropped her suitcase in the middle of the room. Paul left the building pulling his cigarette pack out of his pocket and lit his cigarette as he pulled out of his parking spot. Perry shut the door and walked over to Della who looking around the room observing the wall décor and art statues that adorned the apartment. Before finding his bedroom and the spare room, she noticed the bathroom was larger than she expected, but he was right about the space. It was just enough for two people and not much else. Walking to the window, she pushed the curtain aside and looked out the window as she viewed the patrons walking on the sidewalk, and chatting with their friends when she felt his presence behind her.

"Della, I think Paul is right I better check my mailbox. I've got my mail forwarded here, but my parents picked up my mail while I was at law school. They would have mentioned to me if they had received it, but I assume they hadn't been here for a couple of days. They knew I would be back soon. You want to join me or stay up here until I get back?" Perry peered over her shoulder when she turned to meet his eyes.

"I'll just wait for you here Perry." She touched his arm tenderly as he gave her a quick kiss before leaving as she watched him leave the apartment.
