I was reading fanfiction. This scene came to mind. What do y'all think? Should I continue? Should I step back and write more leading up to this scene? Let me know. My muse has left and I am not sure about my writing any more.

Logan called Rory and told her to meet him at the Gilmore manor. He then called Richard and told him he and Rory wanted to meet with him and Emily as well as his parents. After hanging up the phone, he went to Mitchum's office.

"Dad!" Logan said entering the door. "I need you to call mom and meet me at the Gilmore's." Mitchum looked up from the file he was looking at. He rolled his eyes.

"I don't know where you get that dramatic flare from." Mitchum told him. "What is this about?"

"It's about the wedding." Logan told him and left the room.

When he approached the manor, he saw Rory's car parked beside the road. She was waiting on him. She followed him into the gate. When he parked, he exited his vehicle and moved to open Rory's car door.

"You want to clue me in?" She asked him. He smiled, but before he could say anything, Christopher pulled up. "Just follow my lead, please." He told her.

"Chris, Daddy" both Logan and Rory addressed him as they got close to the door.

When they entered the sitting room, all talk stopped. You could hear a pin drop. Logan and Rory stopped at the entrance. He nodded for her to take a seat.

"I am sure you are all wondering why I called this meeting." Logan began. Several people nodded.

"I for one am astonished that you would call a meeting in the middle of a work week." Lorelai said with a smile on her face. She and Logan had already talked about this. She knew his plans to cancel the wedding. NO, reschedule the wedding.

"Hush Lorelai, Let him talk." Emily told her daughter.

"I have called you all her to tell you that this big society wedding you are planning for February has been canceled." Logan said. He paused for a moment to see if anyone would say anything. The women stared at him with their mouths open. The men just shoot their heads.

"Rory and I will be getting married Saturday week at the DragonFly Inn. The wedding will be out by the pond and the reception will be in the inn." Logan told them. The ladies all started talking at once.

"The DragonFly is not big enough." Emily said standing up. She went to get the planning material she and Shari had been working on.

"Where pray tell is the DragonFly and why would you have a wedding there." Shira said.

"Logan?" Richard said. "Do you know what you are doing?"

"Two weeks?" Emily yelled. Shira stopped looking through her planner.

"Two weeks is not enough time, besides everyone will think this is a shotgun wedding." Shira said.

"Logan, is this a shotgun wedding?" Mitchum asked.

"Hey kiddo," Chris said, easing over to Rory. "This is what you want?" She smiled at him and nodded. "More than anything in this world." she told him.

"No," Logan said, answering Mitchum. "Rory is not pregnant." he turned to look at Rory. She nodded her head.

Logan and Rory were fielding questions left and right from Emily and Shira. Richard and Mitchum were close by, listening.

"Excuse me." Chris said standing up. No one listened. "EXCUSE ME!" This time with a little more force.

"Christopher," Emily said. "There is no reason to yell."

"Now that I have everyone's attention." Chris said, looking around the room. "Logan will continue to explain what he is talking about." He nodded at Logan.

Logan was standing next to Rory, who was sitting in a chair at the entrance. Everyone turned to him.

"The wedding will be at the DragonFly, by the pond. It will be Saturday March 14. The ceremony will start at 2:00 pm." Logan told them. Emily and Shira were writing this down. They both started asking questions again. Chris held his hand up.

"One question at a time." Chris told them.

"How are we going to get the invitations out this late in the game? Don't tell me you are going to, what is it called, you know with the web?" Emily asked.

"Evites," Shira said.

"Yes, yes, that's it. You can not send Evites." she told them.

"What will your dad's business associates think? Richard's as well as your own." Shira said. "I am sure Rory even has some business associates that will need to be invited."

"This is unexceptable. No, we will continue with the wedding planning like it is." Emily said as if that was the end of that subject.

"Rory, I need you to be here Saturday morning. We have a lot to discuss." Emily said then looked at Shira. "I will have Ms. Chole bring some wedding dresses for Rory to try on. If you have someone you would like for her to look at, feel free to bring them also. Oh, Lorelai" Emily said, turning to her. Have Shooki meet us here. Do you think she could have some sample cakes ready for us to taste?"

Rory just looked up at Logan. He had again lost the room. She was shaking her head.

"Ladies." Logan began. Everyone turned to face him. Emily in mid sentence. He took Rory's hand and pulled her up from the chair. "We will be sending your invitation via email. We look forward to seeing you for the rehearsal supper Friday night next. Lorelai? And I correct in you telling me you have secured Lukes for the rehearsal supper. Let's say, 6:30. We will start at the inn, then move to the diner." He looked at Rory. She smiled as she turned to leave.

When they got to the car, Rory was laughing so hard she could barely breathe.

"Are you sure you can pull this off?" Rory asked. He nodded. "What about a wedding dress?"

"I talked with Stephanie. The two of you have an appointment Saturday. She will fill you in on everything. She had a friend in design school. Just so happens last quarter was wedding dresses." Logan told her.
