Note: This will not be the same story as MHA Undercover, just a pure idea that I made while making MHA Undercover. Also some events will change, and maybe some new ideas. Might not post as often, wanting to get around 5k per chapter. It's a lot, but it'll explain events and more in more detail if possible. remember it'll have some mistakes since no one is provisioning it except me, either making this a long story or a short one. That's it, thanks for reading if you are reading it.
A water faucet turns on, a glass is put under it as it starts filling up slowly. The sun sets its last lights on the half filled glass of water as Kane turns off the faucet and, taking the cup, he drinks it. After finishing the glass, he sets it in the sink and starts stretching in his small kitchen apartment. He stretches his arms, then his legs, then stretches his back and core. The TV is on, broadcasting the weather.
"Tonight's gonna be a cold night, reaching below 67 degrees Fahrenheit. Make sure to get out your blankets and prepare yourselves, because tonight's set to be a new moon. You can also expect the Lunar to appear tonight. Stay safe people, this is BDA news, signing out," the news reporter says before it switches to another news catagory.
As Kane finishes stretching every body part imaginable, he goes to a bookshelf and leverages a stationary book to reveal a secret. As the bookshelf moves, it reveals a hidden armor stand with weapon racks. He removes the outfit from the stand, taking it apart one at a time. He equips the tattered black cloak, with a strap over his chest and snacks tucked in behind others. Some carry some sedatives in case he needs to use them, which he rarely does. Pulling on his white gloves, he puts on his boots and arm straps with daggers. As he finishes putting on his outfit, he grabs his white steeled blade. Taking it off of the weapon rack, the night approaches.
Kane sheathes his blade into the sheath at the left of his hip, placing a white mask onto his features. He opens his window and steps out onto the fire escape stairs hanging from the side of the building. He closes the window quietly and makes his way up, climbing the steps toward the roof. As the moon starts its shine upon the city, he makes his move. He creates a white portal, and it appears on another building. Going through it, he appears at the side of the other portal. He begins a sprint, running with his blade unsheathed and in his hands. He teleports from rooftop to rooftop, searching. Searching for illegal activity. He spots one. An illegal drug dealing in a dark alleyway. He jumps down, alerting the group.
"Who the hell are you, you don't know what you're dealing with, man," a thug with a gun says, pointing it at the man.
Kane glances up, stancing his body into a fighting form. In the back, a group of people realize something crucial. The people behind the man drop their guns, dropping to their knees with their hands up. All of them surrender in their places.
"What the hell are you doing?! It's just one man—" he yells, before his head drops to the ground, rolling away.
It was so fast. The slice couldn't be seen by the naked human eye. The ground is quickly covered from the man's blood, spurting out in bursts. The people remaining are terrified, begging for mercy, some passing out.
"Please, we're sorry!" one person cries.
"I told you we shouldn't do this tonight. Not during a new moon," another one mutters.
He approaches them, acquiring a restraining band from his satchel and restraining all of the remaining culprits. He then relocated them into the street and near the police station, where he then teleports away. Police are on patrol at this time of night, ready for the inevitable: Seeing a bunch of people restrained and dropped off at the station. They know who did this.
Kane continues to teleport from building to building, until he finds his next set of villains escaping a bank with bags full of money. They are being chased by some low ranked heroes and the police. The villains step onto a platform and travel by some ice clearly generated up by one of them. Another one blasts fire in the opposite direction to boost them. They speed up quickly and fly at insane speeds, only tailed by those who have quirks capable of making them more agile to continue the chase. Kane decides to follow them, tailing from the top of the roof and teleporting rapidly. As he runs, a turn comes up on the road ahead of them. He sees his opportunity, and conjures up a white portal as they turn the corner of the street. They are teleported above them as they crash towards the ground, their momentum completely redirected. Needless to say, they are quite confused by their predicament.
"What the fuck just happened?" one of them yells, as they pull themselves up from the crash.
"I don't know dude, I was pretty sure none of those heroes had that kind of quirk!" another one replies as they get into battle-ready stances.
"IDIOTS, PROTECT THE VALUABLES. IT SHOULD BE A PIECE OF CAKE TO TAKE CARE OF THESE GUYS!" one of them angrily screams, setting fire in his palms.
A white portal opens up from behind them, alerting the villains to look. Kane appears from the portal, surprising the lot. The guy with his hands on fire swings at Kane, his fire intending to kill, but Kane dodges every single attack. Not even one of his onslaught lands. The man, getting tired of the malicious attacks, slices the fire-user's head clean off. As it drops toward the ground, the others rush forward with malicious anger. Kane proceeds to evade each of their attacks, taking them out one-by-one, their bodies each dropping individually. Once done with his job, he wrings out his blade to clean off the blood. Getting rid of the rest, he squeezes his arm to wipe it off, and sheathes it. He begins grabbing the bodies and piling them up as the heroes and police arrive. Seeing the scene, they are wary of what he can do and attempt to negotiate.
The moon, give me a sec to replace some of them
"Lunar, come with us and we'll let you off easily," one of the heroes bargains earnestly as they brace themselves, fearing the worst.
He doesn't give an answer, instead grabbing the bag of money and tossing it to them, causing even the most veteran heroes to flinch. Most of the heroes and police force are thinking to not mess with him and move on with their day, but one steps up.
"Ha, you don't scare me! You will comply, even if it's by force! You will kneel under me! GILDERRRRR" he orders as his arms extend to punch Kane.
As the stretched fist flies through the air, aimed at him, he dodges with ease and leans to the right, fully avoiding the strike. As the first passes, he unsheathes his sword and slices through the outstretched arm. The blade slices through like butter, and the once-clenched hand drops to the ground and relaxes as the man pulls back his arm and holds onto the stub in pain. As he grunts in pain, the other heroes and the police force prepare themselves to fight back. One conjures up dust around the group, shaping the individual particles into spikes and hurtling them at Kane. He forms a portal, covering his body, and using another portal right beside the other one causes all of the spikes to go through and redirect their aim at the heroes. The man then conjures up a large energy shield, protecting everyone from the spikes, and after twelve seconds, the flurry ends. However, what the man doesn't realize is the reality of the situation. His teammates were knocked out as Kane appeared behind them during the attack and promptly proceeded to end their consciousnesses. Soon after, he knocks the last one out, and Kane makes sure the man who lost his hand stops bleeding. After finishing up the job, he takes about ¼ of the money and opens a portal, only to toss them through. He closes it and leaves the scene through another, once again appearing on a roof.
Running along some of the roof edge, he finds a spot to refuel his energy with a snack. When he stopped, there were a ton of people celebrating Kenkoku Kinen no Hi in the streets. He sits down as he grabs a few snacks from his strap, grabbing one energy bar and some little crackers. He watches the people celebrate as he chews the food very softly, as he sees a kid alone and away from the crowd. Seeing the kid, he digs through his strap as he finds a popsicle which is still cold somehow. He creates a small white portal, as he sticks his arm with the popsicle in his hand. The portal appears at the kid's end, as the kid turns around to see this portal. He's shy at first, not tempted to take it. Kane gestures with the popsicle stick in his hand to take it, as the kid approaches slowly. As he goes near the portal, he takes the popsicle from his hand as he gives him a head rub. Pulling his arm out and closing the portal, as he watches the kid eat the popsicle and seeing him enjoy it. It warms his heart, continuing to watch the festival as he finishes the snacks that he was eating. He then hears a scream in the festival, getting closer to the center where the scream came from to investigate. Approaching the noise, jumping from roof to roof and ducking low to see what's happening. Peeking from the building, he sees a group of villains holding a lot of people hostage in the center of the festival.
"Nobody moves! If one of you moves, I'll kill this bitch in my arms right now!" A man says as he holds a woman with a blade coming out of his hand.
"PLEASE! I HAVE A FAMILY! PLEASE LET ME GO!' The woman screams, crying in the process.
"Hey, when are the heroes gonna arrive so we can negotiate with them for money? Losing patience with these people." One of the other villains asks the man holding the woman hostage.
"Soon, trust me it'll be worth the time. After the negotiation, we'll kill these people anyways," He says.
"HAHAHA, YES WE WILL" Another man says listening in to their conversation.
They laugh, as they resume their position as they make sure none of their hostages call for help or leave. Kane is watching this, getting an idea of the amount of villains there's at the festival. He makes a portal behind the villains in the middle of the festival, grabbing them one at a time and slicing their necks. Making sure before taking out the rest, to take out the people that are looking in the middle. Then behind a villain, both his arms go through the portal as he grabs them and stabs them in the head with a dagger. Pulling the dagger back out as he continues on his next target, finishing them off one by one as the last one dies. Once he was done, the police and the heroes arrived as a man that appeared through shadows appeared in front of them. He listens in, as they negotiate a deal to gain a lot of money.
"We'll give you what you want as long as you let go of the hostages!" One of the heroes yells at the shadow man.
"Heh, I want 10k right now." He says with a cigarette in his mouth.
"Here, now let go of the hostages, Tremon." Another hero states.
"HahahaHAHAHA. You fools, Dext kill them." Tremon says as he gets his radio.
He stands there, nothing happening as he's confused and radios his team.
"Dext, kill them! KILL THEM NO—!" Tremon says as his neck gets sliced in half.
His body falls, as the heroes and police force are alerted. A portal opens, Kane appears before them as he gets rid of the blood on his blade. The heroes are more alerted now, It's Lunar, in the flesh. They are tempted to arrest him here and now, to lock him behind bars. However as he turned to leave, a pedestrian came up to him and shook his hand with both of their hands.
"Thank you, thank you for protecting us." The man says crying while still shaking his hands.
"It's true! Although your way is not conventional, thank you for protecting us over the seven years!" Another one says.
As more and more people compliment Kane and surround him, this confuses the hero as they try to shove the crowd to get to him. Getting more compliments, this kinda embarrasses him getting a compliment over the years. As the heroes get closer to him, he thanks them by bowing. As he takes a portal away, teleporting away from the crowd as the hero was so close getting to him.
Appearing from another roof, he tries to calm himself from the swarm of complaints that he received. Walking around and taking several breathers, stopping to sheath his sword. He calms down, as he walks through a portal he creates as he walks through to the other side. Teleporting to another part of the city as he runs around to find illegal activity. He couldn't find anything for a while, until finding a hero doing something suspicious. He stops, looking over to see what the hero was doing in the alleyway. Seeing the hero and a civilian in the alleyway, as he hears them talk to each other.
"Come on baby girl, you're gonna be mine anyways so why not have me right now?" The hero says, walking up to a young lady with a ponytail.
"Go away! You disgusting freak, help someone help-" She says before her mouth was covered by the hero.
"No, shhhhhhh. You will be mine." He says with a grin in his face as he slurps his tongue.
The girl struggles, as the man puts his hands on her boobs. As he attempts to remove the clothes, his grin could not be wider. Thinking he got away with it too, but hears some footsteps behind him as he turns around. He looks to see Kane, not even knowing who he was and starts approaching him. Slowly walking up towards him, he stands tall over him as he starts making a wax spike at his neck.
"No witnesses," He says as he tries to kill Kane, expecting to kill him.
Kane dodges his attack, making a portal to teleport to the street with the hero to start fighting. The hero notices this, and tries to attempt to kill him more swiftly to end the fight. He conjures up more hot wax and aims it at him as Kane dodges, jumping and moving left to right. Slicing through the wax, approaching him slowly as he continues to dodge and slice through the wax. The hero knows he has to do something before someone else arrives, so he tries to play dirty as he takes a small capsule out from his pocket and swallows the insides. He revs up, something within the small capsule boosted his power by a butt ton. As he makes a huge wax wave, aiming it towards Kane as he makes a portal quickly and appears on the other side. Getting slightly burnt by the wax, as he was able to get rid of the wax on his arm. He knew something was off, but he dodged the upcoming wax that was aiming at his head. Teleporting away through a portal, as he appears above the man and was about to slice through the man. Before the man made a quick wax shield, making it hard to slice through the wax as he got hit by a wax shot. Throwing him off, and hitting the ground on the city streets as he gets up. It burns, as he can't feel the parts where it burns, only burning pain. He wouldn't think it would be this far, as more wax projectiles keep coming his way. Not having time for grace period, teleporting away to the other side of the wax. However, the wax is very slippery and he teleports away again after more wax comes at him. He continues to dodge and sometimes slice through the wax, he grows tired of this as he stands on a roof. However, he gets hit by the wax as he gets launched more back.
"HAHAHA, DIEEEEEEE!" The man says as he's still in his wax shell, firing more wax at him.
Kane gets up, as he stances back up slowly. However Kane decides to finish this, as he opens up another portal and goes through. Nothing happens for a few seconds, the hero thinking he ran away from the fight. However a portal opens up in front of the huge wax shield, as another one appears behind him. Another one appears on another side, as more and more portals appear all around the hero. This confuses him, throwing wax at some of the portal as it comes back to him. A barrage of slices starts hitting the hero, making more gashes and slices of the wax shield. As it continues for a bit, it seems more and more gashes and slices of the wax shield as it breaks. Getting sliced and gashed by the same blades as there are many cut wounds on him as he falls and starts bleeding out fast. The hero looks up to see Kane, but there are five figures standing in front of him as he bleeds out from the amount of slice cuts on him. Kane stands there, with four other figures that look like him as the four of them go through a portal that is created and disappears. Kane spits out a mouthful of blood, as he sits on a crate and rests there. Taking off the wax, as some of the wax pulls his skin off and starts bleeding. He has no bandages, as he continues to take off all the wax and sit there bleeding from some of the wax tearing off his skin. The young woman appeared before Kane, knowing who he was as she approached him. He looks over to see her, as he sheaths his blade as he finishes getting the wax off.
"Um, thank you for saving my life. I mean it," The woman says, kinda embarrassed. "Oh, let me help with your bleeding."
The young woman started to pull something out of her skin, as she made some bandage wraps and gave it to Kane.
He is wary, but takes it from her hands very slowly as she creates some probiotic alcohol as she also gives it to him. He takes it as he was holding the bandage, as he takes a pad from the young woman. Dipping the alcohol onto the pad, he dabs the spots where It's bleeding. After wiping the blood and making sure he doesn't get an infection, he uses the bandage to wrap around his head, and forearms. The young woman was helping wrap the head, as she was about to take off the mask without knowing. Kane grabbed her hand, throwing her off as he let go and the young woman put her hands away from the mask. She finishes and so does he, as he gets up and starts walking towards a portal that he creates. The woman watches, as he disappears and she starts looking at her hand.
"It was. very warm and soft," She mutters, as a limbo pulls up and she gets in and leaves.
-The following morning-
"94 people found dead on the night of the new moon, Lunar is believed to be the suspect of the 94 bodies. Including heroes and the villain attack at the Kenkoku Kinen No Hi festival, let's look at some of the witnesses and see what they have to say about it." One reporter says in the tv as it cuts to the woman who was similar that was hostage by the man with the arm blade.
"He saved my life, I wish I could repay him in person," The woman says, cutting to the next person.
"If it weren't for him, many people would've died that night," A man says, cutting to the next person who theorizes.
"I was there when it happened, made me reconsider how much of a difference he makes. Eight years ago when the crime rate was at a highest of 40% when quirks were starting to be a modern thing. As the years went one not only did it drop to a 10%, it was mostly on Lunar who either killed or sustained a lot of villains. Although he kills some heroes, he had reason as from the past most heroes that were killed were noted to do some illegal activity." The theorize says as it cuts back to the reporter.
"Well you heard it here, Lunar is the one mostly impacting the crime spectrum. We'll come back next to you to announce how All Might saves the day again." The reporter says as it rolls adds.
"Tssskkk, yeah right." A hero says, sitting in a bar as he turns off the tv.
"Hey man, what would you do if you would encounter him? Huh?" Another hero says next to him in the bar.
"Ha, easy. I would take him out with one swing," He says, taking a shot of alcohol.
"Yeah right, with that high status. I say you would either die or lose in one motion from him," Another hero says, sitting next to them all.
As they argue and argue in the bar, Kane takes his drink as the bartender is with him. The bartender cleans the glass as Kane continues scrolling through his phone through the media.
"How was your night, Kane?" He says continuing to clean the glass.
"Painful at the end of the night," Kane says.
"Really, what happened?" He says, getting another glass to clean.
"Well Delm, was fighting a normal hero and he used a quirk enchantment drug, which made it more difficult." Kane says.
"Ah, those are still a thing. Yeah, and I kinda tell how much damage it did to you, look at you," Delm says.
"Yeah," Modu says.
"Hey bartender, refill!" One of the hero's yelled.
"Oop, sorry gotta go." Delm says as he goes over to refill the shot.
Kane leaves the bar and heads out the door, walking around the city as he heads towards a weaponsmith. There's a man that's sorting his weapons and gadgets that he sells. He looks over to see Kane, as he grows a smile as he waves and goes to the counter to talk to him.
"Hey Kane, haven't seen you since a month ago!" He says.
"Yeah, it's been a month. Business going well, Razer?" Kane says as he conjures up a portal, grabbing his weapon from the portal as he places it on the counter.
"It's been really good lately with all the seniors that graduated a month ago, and were sold out like a day ago." Razer says as he brings the blade to the back to be repaired by a machine.
"That's good to know, oh where was that blade I commishend with the high materials at?" Kane asks Razer.
"Ah was gonna mention that, give me a sec while I look through storage to see where I put it." Razer says as he goes to the back and looks through the storage. "Ah, here we go."
Razer comes out with the blade in its sheath, as he represents it to Kane. As he sets it down, with cloth under it to cushion it so it doesn't get scratches on the sheath. A white sheath with a metallic gold end at the sheath, with gold stream lines at the bottom and top. Kane holds the blade with the gloves he grabbed from the portal as he holds it, very light to hold. He unsheathes it slowly, as the blade is made from Nowhil ore. An extremely rare ore found after quirks started appearing 20 years ago, making a great strong blade while having high resistance of all elements. Also helping, as he Kane imbues some of his quirk as it glows a bright glow. Not taking part of his quirk, as he unsheathes it. The blade has a white sky color, reminiscing with the quirk and him feeling the aura of the blade. He sheaths it back as he smiles at Razer, making a portal and putting on the other bracket of the secret armor stand room. As Razer hears the machine finish, as he gets it and hands it back to him.
"Thank you," Kane says as he bows to Razer, creating another portal as he puts his other sword back.
He leaves, as they both wave at each other as he exits through the door. He continues to walk around the city, seeing a crowd when crossing the streets as he walks over to see what's happening. A villain attack is happening on a bridge, watching a hero fight him. They restrain the villain with tree branches, as someone comes by and kicks them. Being a huge blond lady, as she sizes down and gets everyone's attention. He watches briefly, leaving the whole crowd as he sees a pharmacy. He enters in, and goes around finding medical supplies, bandages, iboprobic alcohol, etc. Finding all the items, he goes to the counter to purchase all the items. Getting a bag as he leaves, walking around more in the city. He basically finishes what he has to do as he goes to his apartment building, taking an elevator to his apartment floor. He arrives on the floor, goes to his door and unlocks it as he drops his stuff on the couch and gets his training equipment. He puts the strap over his shoulder, as he goes out again. Grabbing his water as he leaves and going to a gym he goes to every time when he trains. Walking out of the building and heading towards the gym, he arrives as he steps into the building as everyone greets him.
"Hey, good to see you again man!" The person at the counter says, handing him a towel.
He waves at him as he takes the towel, he signs in and goes to one of the punching bags. Setting his stuff near a bench as he grabs some fingerless gloves, putting them on tightly. Undressing his long sleeve as he's wearing a tank top under it, as he starts to prepare to train with all of his physical strength. He starts punching and kicking, taking it lightly as to warm up. Continuing to punch the bag, and starts making more heavy blows. Soon he works on his technique, focusing on grapple techniques because he wasn't a fan of working on it for months. Mostly training anything he needs to work on, sweating hard as he's drenched in sweat. When he stops, he looks over to see all the other people working hard to make their facade. Thinking he looks more lean than muscular than everyone else, but realizes that they're no match for him due to his skills.
"Hey, Kane! Can we do close combat training, need some help," A man says leaning on Kane's shoulder.
"Oh hey Dhan, sure let's go do it now. I'm pretty much warmed up already." Kane says as he stretches his arms.
"Alright, awesome! Give it your all okay!' Dhan says as they head towards the big pavement area made for quirk training.
They stand face to face with each other, then start their match as the lock in. As they back off and start bolting towards each other, blocking each other's attack. Right hook then Left hook, Dhan was going all out with the attacks. Pressuring him, not giving any chance to parry his attacks as he continues the pressure. Kane fights back, finding an opening as he does a left uppercut on his stomach. Sending him back as he jumps towards him and kicks him back. Kane goes flying a little bit as he lands on the ground and sprints towards him. Dhan sprints at him as well, giving powerful blows and Kane defends by blocking back. Dhan does a right hook, followed by an uppercut as Kane blocks them. Just as he expected, using this to his advantage and attempts to kick him. Aiming for his head, he was close to hitting him. However Kane decides to put his skills to the test, dodging it and grabbing his leg. Surprised by this, Dhan couldn't do anything as he was thrown off by the unbalance and exposing him. Kane grabs on to him, grappling him so he can't move as he keeps hold of him.
"AAAaa, okay okay. I give up!" Dhan says as Kane lets go as he falls to the ground. "Jeez, I guess not this time. But I will win against you one of these days."
"Keep practicing and training, you'll get there eventually," Kane says, offering his arm to help him up.
"Yeah! I'll train harder than anyone has seen!" Dhan yells, grabbing his hand and getting up from the ground.
"We'll see next time we fight," Kane says, both walking out of the big room.
"Welp, I'll see you sometime soon! Gotta watch a bro bench," Dhan says as he waves goodbye to him.
"Yeah sometimes soon," Kane says, waving as he gets his stuff and leaves.
He's been at the gym for some hours, as it's approaching the evening. He notices, starting to get serious and heads to his apartment. Passing by some people who make them blush, mostly women that we're staring at his facade. He was still in his tank top, having his long sleeve in his other hand. Passing by the people as he reaches the building and heads towards his apartment. Arriving at his apartment door, opening it and putting away his bag in a closet. Resting himself for the rest of the time before the night approaches, turning on the tv watching the news. Nothing that interests him, continuing his interest by scrolling through social media. Until he gets a call by some random number, answering the unknown call. He answers, as someone answers back at him.
"Hello, Lunar," a person says.
"Wrong person," He says as he ends the call.
It rings back up, and answers the call.
"You're funny, anyways I have a deal with you," They say.
"State who you are, and I might consider your offer." Kane says, lounging on his sofa.
"My name is Nezu, principal of U.A College," Nezu states himself.
"Interesting, what would a prestigious high school principal want with me?" He asks.
"Too much to talk about on a public line, meet me in U.A and we'll discuss." Nezu says.
"I'll try to make time, but for now. Expect me to arrive late," He says as he ends the call.
