When TK entered the apartment, he saw his boyfriend in the kitchen preparing dinner for the two of them.
"Hey babe," Carlos greeted, eyes flickering over to TK before returning to the vegetables he was currently chopping. TK smirked; it was too perfect.
"What's cooking?" TK asked as he entered the kitchen and headed to the fridge.
"Burrito bowls," Carlos shrugged as he sliced up pieces of carrot, "there will be enough left over if you want to take some to work tomorrow."
"Awesome," TK said, as he reached for a bottle of water from the fridge "thanks Carlos,"
The knife in Carlos's hand stilled, he slowly looked up and turned to his boyfriend, TK hid his smirk as he took a sip of his water.
"Is everything ok?" Carlos asked, puzzled.
"Of course," TK assured; Carlos looked weary as he returned to slicing up vegetables. TK wrapped his arms around the other man's waist as he looked over his shoulder, sneaking a slice of carrot before popping it in his mouth.
"How was your day?"
"Good, better now that I'm here with you Carlos," TK replied. As he leant in to kiss the other man, Carlos turned to him with a disgruntled look, pulling away before the paramedic could land the kiss.
"Are you mad at me?" Carlos asked, even more puzzled.
"No Carlos, I'm not mad at you," TK grinned, leaning in to kiss the other man. Carlos placed a hand on TK's chest to stop him, giving him a perplexed look.
"Why are you calling me Carlos?"
"Because it's your name?" TK explained, like it was obvious.
"I didn't realise we were on a first name basis, Tyler Kennedy," Carlos sassed. TK scrunched his face in disgust, touché.
"Well, it's your name," TK replied, moving closer and wrapping his arms around the other man's waist.
"That's not my name," Carlos said adamantly, crossing his arms over his chest as he shook his head. TK giggled as he pulled his boyfriend closer, enjoying the displeased look Carlos was giving him just a little too much.
"What do you mean that's not your name."
"You don't call me Carlos, like ever."
"It's still your name, Carlos!" TK laughed, enjoying the offended look on his boyfriend's face "what's your name then?"
"My name is babe to you," Carlos informed, much to TK's amusement.
"Really?"
"Yep," Carlos nodded, a slight smirk twitching on his lips. "Or baby, I'll even accept 'los. You never call me Carlos."
"Maybe I'll start… Carlos," TK was unprepared as the other man started tickling him, he ran out of the kitchen and towards the loungeroom, the officer fast behind him.
"What's my name?" Carlos asked playfully, bouncing on his toes as he tried to encounter the other man's next move.
"Carlos!"
"What's my name?" Carlos asked again.
"Carlos!" TK wasn't fast enough as he moved around the coffee table, Carlos swiftly tackling him to the couch. Carlos straddled TK's hips, grabbing his arms and pinning them above his head, the officer smirked at him devilishly.
"What's my name?" Carlos asked breathily as he leant in closer.
"Baby," TK relented.
"That's right," Carlos grinned leaning in and kissing the other man, dinner was quickly forgotten
