Sweet dreams
EXTRA: (N.A: Didn't expect it or what?)
-YEARS LATER-
-…AND I WOULD HAD GOTTEN AWAY, IF IT WEREN'T FOR THESE MEDDLING KIDS AND THEIR STUPID DOG! –exclaimed as always the generic villain after being put inside the cab by the police officers.
-Like, I can't believe we had just solved another mystery at my uncle's mansion. It's like, what? The third over six years? –the brown haired teen commented to his relative, sounding amused yet kind annoyed at the same time.
His uncle only laughed sheepishly…and ran away into the crowd along with Scooby, eager to tell the journalists how the Great Dane just had saved him a moment ago. Shaggy couldn't help but sigh at this.
-Well, it's not so bad solving mysteries in a place we already know-the tall teen turned his head to his ¨tiny¨ teammate-At least it's easier than normally.
-Yeah, well, it certainly is…But no matter the years, this place still gives me the creeps at night! –he declared.
-But now you can sleep here without needing a midnight snack, right? –she reminded him.
-…Riiight-he answered, though not so happy about it. Then, as if something just ¨clicked¨ in his head, he said-Hey, Velm, now that you mention it…
-Umm?
-…Do you remember that time I found you crying at the kitchen because you just had a nightmare?
Velma nearly jumped out in fear by the mention of that.
-Y-Yeah…? -she simply responded, but the tone of her voice was so low that he almost couldn't hear it.
-So…what was it?
-What? –she could only say.
-You know, the nightmare you had that day. What was it about? –he asked her curiously.
Like if an alarm had just turned on inside her, Velma rapidly turn around and said:
-I-I don't remember!
For her, that would be the end of the topic…but she forgot with WHO she was talking. And so, before she could relax and let out a sigh, she found out Shaggy's face just mere inches away from hers, analyzing her expression quietly.
-You know? That doesn't look like the face of someone who doesn't remember-he commented and with just that, her face nearly burst out in flames.
Quickly, the brown haired girl turned around again.
-Come on, just tell me! I promise I won't laugh, even if it is really embarrassing!
-I-It doesn't matter now! It was just…something silly-she simply replied, sounding her last sentence a bit more…timid?
-If it really doesn't matter right now, why won't you just tell me? –he insisted, not getting at all the ¨problem¨ that she was facing (both inside and outside).
-AGGGGHHHHH! –okay, now she could no longer hold it. As fast as lightning, she turned back to him and pointed him angrily-Listen: it's been a rough day, I'm tired and honestly all I really want to do now is just go straight to bed. So for the last time, I DON'T REMEMBER THAT NIGHTMARE AND I DON'T WANNA TALK ABOUT THAT EVER AGAIN, GOT IT!?
Shaggy repeatedly (and quite quickly) nodded, lifting his arms in the air as a sign of defeat and showing a little frightened expression.
-Good-she firmly nodded, conformed with his answer…and then quickly walked away (almost seemed like she was running).
-Umm, I think I might have an idea of what was that nightmare about-Daphne commented after seeing Velma's weird behavior.
-You do? –he asked eagerly.
-Yeah, but…-the read headed made a brief pause before answering-…I guess I'm not telling you either.
-WHAT!? WHY?
-Heheh, sorry Shaggy. It would be embarrassing if I'm wrong, and if I'm right…then I really shouldn't be the one saying it-she simply said before leaving the scene too.
-HAH? –he could only say.
Oh great, just when he thought he could get an answer to that and now, he would never know it for sure!
And now indeed is:
THE END
