It had taken Sarah some time to get accustomed to Jareth's world being her new residence. Finally, Sarah did comprehend that she had perished in the human world. Only for her to be reborn here in the world of the Labyrinth.

Her earthly demise had been a year ago. Yet she still hadn't entirely come to terms with it. Jareth had treated her kindly and was a devoted husband. Yet even he could see the unhappiness in his wife's eyes.

But there wasn't any way for her to return to her former life. Again, her human body was six feet under. Therefore, she could only survive in her reborn body here. Besides coming to terms with her 'death,' Sarah was dealing with the fact she was pregnant. She wasn't sure if the hormonal changes were only adding to her bewilderment and heartache.

For now? Her companions from the Labyrinth kept her company, which brought her a few moments of smiles. Jareth was starting to worry more about his wife. He hoped she wouldn't attempt to die a second time.

Sarah was having a small picnic with her friends in a nicer section of the Labyrinth. Hoggle had prepared a large picnic for her. He also made sure not to include peaches. "Thank you, Hoggle. This is nice of you," as she began to eat a sizeable delicious sandwich.

Her dwarf companion only smiled. "Anything for you, Milady. How is the precious cargo doing?" indicating her swollen belly. "Sir Hoggle! That is a most inappropriate question to ask a lady!" barked Sir Didymus.

"It's alright, Didymus. You don't need to get worked up on my account. As far as I can tell? The baby is doing alright. But unfortunately, this world doesn't have the same means to check to ensure the baby is fine. So, for now? Let's hope for the best?" Sarah said to which Ludo grunted in agreement.

"Very well, my Lady. I shall take your word for it if you say it's no trouble!" The friends continued to enjoy lunch together. Following the picnic, Sarah returned to the palace's gardens. Jareth had built her a private garden. She found it a tranquil location to collect her thoughts.

The garden was a miniature version of the park she used to cosplay at, which made her feel a little less homesick having a piece of her home with her. She shortly fell into character as she once again recited lines from her old stories. It again brought her a fleeting moment of bliss. Yet she couldn't help but sit and sob.

Again whether it was grief or hormones, or perhaps both? Sarah still couldn't be delighted with her circumstances. How could anyone understand what she was going through?

That she was simultaneously alive and dead? That one world was lost to her forever? And while she enjoyed this fantastical world around her? She still missed the presence of other humans and things of her old life.

Jareth weighed endlessly how to make his wife truly happy again. He knew the limitations of his sorcery. Yet what could he do? Then, finally, on the day Sarah went into labor, he'd managed to grant her wish to have some part of her old life. Since he'd teleported her brother Toby, she'd have one family member by her side.

Sarah had been crying tears of joy. Both for her newborn son. Plus, she was seeing her younger brother once again. Toby asked if it'd be conceivable for him to visit his sister. At least one weekend out of the month so she wouldn't be completely cut off from her old world. Jareth agreed, and finally, Sarah found happiness in the end.

Worrying Doesn't Change Anything.

It's human nature to worry about what you deeply care for. However, worrying alone will not change anything. Think of better ways to channel your concerns. Think about what actions you can take to worry less.

For you cannot change what you've no control over. Yet you'll feel more powerful if you take action to prevent it from worsening. This is because actions create transformation while worrying only creates anguish.
