The girl stayed under the bed shivering, watching the boots got closer before they knelt down, a face staring at her. "C'mon Sara." Leroy Jethro Gibbs said softly, gently lifting her up before taking her across the backyard to his home, wrapping her in a blue sheet after cleaning her up.
"My parents..." she said weakly, tears in her eyes as she looked at him, watching him hug her. "Mr. Leroy, they're gone. They were..."
"Shh." He replied, calming her as there was a knock on the door, getting up to open it. Several vampires stood there.
"She is here?" one asked, sighing in relief. "It is good to see you Leroy."
"Augustus." Gibbs said, shaking his hand. "Augie, I don't know how much more I can take." He gave them entry before sitting down. "First Shannon and Kelly, now this. I didn't think they could even be killed."
"Assassination Leroy." Came the reply. "They wanted her, not them." Lord Augustus Mallard looked at him. "It's why I have been chosen to take her." He held up his hand as the other man opened his mouth. "It's as you said: you've lost a lot. I can tell you that you will see her again in the future however."
Gibbs sighed, knowing he was right and got up, going upstairs and coming back with her. "Sara," he said. "Be good for them and I promise we'll meet again. Hang onto that sheet alright? So that I know you're safe."
Sara nodded, wiping her eyes. "I understand Mr. Leroy," she said, hugging him before she was taken away by Augie, not to see her friend for many years.
