Hello and welcome to the prologue for my newest Naruto crossover, Helluva Life. I'm posting this new story for the premiere of season 2. In this, Naruto was just an average guy living a shitty life stealing people's money and being treated like an outcast until his life came to a tragic end. Now, follow him as he lives his afterlife working alongside the craziest team of assassin's in all of Hell. I hope you enjoy it.
I'd also like to take the time to say sorry for not updating my other stories for some time. This has been a bit of a shitty year. Replacing siding along the house after a big storm passed, replacing an entire pool liner, and now having to buy a new shed and fix a law mower after part of a tree fell on them. So yeah. It hasn't been a real promising year, but it is what it is.
Enough about that though. Go ahead and read the story.
— Prologue —
It was just another normal day in the city of Tokyo. The streets were bustling with the usual pedestrians going about their day and minding their own business. As they did, they never took notice of one man walking among them, despite his appearance making him stand out from everyone else. He was a teenager with fair skin, spiky blond hair, blue eyes, and three whisker markings on his cheeks. His clothes consisted of an orange jacket, a white tank top, baggy black pants, and black with orange sneakers.
He seemed to be keeping to himself with his hands in his jacket pockets, but if someone looked close enough, they would've seen him subtly look around his surroundings as he quickly walked next to a random man before just as quickly walking past him. Nobody noticing anything out of the ordinary as the blond left the crowd and entered a nearby alleyway.
Checking to make sure nobody was looking his way, the blond pulled out four different wallets from his jacket pockets. He pulled out all the yen in each one before tossing them in a nearby garbage can and walking away while counting the money he just stole.
"Let's see how much I got today." The blond said before quietly counting his money only to groan. "Damn. Only 43,000 yen. That's not enough for rent. Guess I'm gonna have to pick another guy's pockets."
This young man's name is Naruto Uzumaki. He might seem like a delinquent in the eyes of many because of his appearance and actions, but he's actually a good kid who was just dealt a bad hand ever since he was born. He'd never known his parents and lived in an orphanage for most of his younger days until they kicked him out for pulling pranks and getting into fights. Since then, he's had to live on his own for the last three years.
In that time, Naruto had managed to find an apartment for decent rent and get a part time job working at a small restaurant. Sadly, his job couldn't pay him much and things like rent and pleasantries weren't cheap. Which is why he resorts to stealing from people. He doesn't like doing it, but a guy has to get by somehow.
Right now, Naruto can be seen making his way out of the alley and back into the busy streets, searching for his next target.
"No! You listen and listen good! I said I wanted that report done and on my desk today!" A man with a hot coffee shouted into a cellphone. "Either you hand in that report by the time I get back from my lunch break or you're fired!"
"Bingo." Naruto whispered with a smirk before walking towards the man.
"And another thing- AH!" The man yelled after Naruto bumped into him, making him spill his coffee on himself. "What the hell you damn punk?!"
"Oh man. I'm so sorry, sir. I was rushing to get to work on time and wasn't paying attention to my surroundings." Naruto said, rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment.
"I don't give a damn! Do you have any idea how much this suit cost?!" The man yelled, glaring at the blond. "I should call the cops on you right now!"
"I'm sorry, sir. I'll gladly pay for the cleaning bill." Naruto said, faking guilt.
The man glared at the blond harder before calming himself down just slightly.
"Forget it. I don't need your pocket change. Just get the hell outta my sight already." The man ordered.
"Okay. Sorry again. See you around, sir." Naruto said before running off while whispering to himself. "Asshole."
Making sure he was as far away from the man as possible, Naruto pulled out the wallet he took from him and pulled out 32,000 yen, making the blond grin.
"Perfect. This is more than enough to pay my rent." Naruto said happily while tossing the wallet in a trash can. "Sorry jerk, but I need this money more than you do."
"What the hell?! Where's my damn wallet?!" The man yelled loud enough for the block to hear.
He looked around for a moment before remembering the punk who ran into him and put two and two together. He quickly searched everywhere for the blond before finally spotting him in the distance in a crowd of people. It wasn't hard since his hair made him stand out. With his target in sight, the man ran towards him.
"Get back here with my wallet you blond bastard!" The man yelled, making Naruto glance back at him in surprise.
"Oh crap." Naruto said before taking off down the street as the man gave chase.
Naruto didn't care if he bumped into people or not as he ran for what could be his life. He wasn't afraid of the angry man, but the last thing he needed was to get into trouble right now. He'd already been arrested once before after spraying graffiti all over a high school and forced to clean it up after words, so the last thing he needed was to be arrested for theft.
As Naruto rounded a corner, he came to an abrupt stop. In front of him were two cops patrolling the street. He tried to act casual as he turned to walk away, only for the angry man to round the same corner. The two stared at each other before the man noticed the cops behind the blond and smirked.
"Police! Stop that punk! He stole my wallet!" The man yelled, pointing at Naruto and smirked as the cops moved towards the blond.
"Alright, kid. Just come quietly." The female cop ordered.
"Yeah. Don't make this hard." The male cop stated.
"Shit." Naruto cursed before running from the three.
The cops and angry man chased him through the crowd before Naruto ducked inside an alleyway with the three not far behind him. He quickly looked for a way out before spotting a dumpster next to a tall metal fence. Seeing this as the best opportunity, Naruto quickly jumped on the dumpster while grabbing the top of the fence and using the momentum to jump over it and land safely on the other side. His three pursuers stopping at the fence while glaring at him as he grinned back at them.
"It's been fun, but I got other places to be. See you never, dicks." Naruto said with a salute before running off.
"Damn it!" The angry man yelled, slamming his fists against the fence in frustration.
After having finally escaped his pursuers, Naruto made his way through the alley and out the other side while pulling his hood up. He didn't want to risk being spotted by any police that might be patrolling the streets in case the other two called in what happened. And given they saw what he looks like, it would be easier for police to identify him. With that in mind, Naruto quickly headed in the direction of his apartment.
After half an hour of walking, it didn't take Naruto long before he neared the block his apartment was located. Thankfully without any close calls from police. He couldn't help chuckle to himself as he held his arms behind his head.
"Heheh. Let's see. Got enough money for rent? Check. Out ran some dumb cops? Check. Ruined an asshole's day? Check." Naruto counted off with a grin. "All in all, I'd say today was a good day. Nothing could possibly ruin it for me."
"Get away from me!" A feminine voice yelled, making Naruto stop on the spot.
He looked to the other side of the street to see a group of four men in suits surrounding a girl in a school uniform. The men had less then innocent expressions while laughing pervertedly as they got grabby with the cornered girl, who wore a scared expression on her face at the men's intentions.
"Don't touch me! Just let me go!" The girl yelled, trying to move past the men, but they blocked her way.
"What's the rush, babe?" One man asked, keeping her from getting away.
"Yeah. Stay with us and let's have some fun." Another man said with a sick grin.
Seeing this made Naruto hesitant. He wasn't sure what to do in this situation. He was a strong believer in looking out for yourself, which meant putting himself before others. That's a lesson he quickly learned when he realized nobody would help him, even when he needed it the most. But now, here he is, witnessing an innocent girl being harassed by a group of men who weren't taking no for an answer. He could try to help her, but would she do the same thing if their positions were reversed? Or would she just ignore him like everyone else did?
One of the men finally noticed his presence and turned in his direction.
"What are you looking at?!" The guy yelled, breaking Naruto out of his thoughts. "You got a problem?!"
Seeing the guy glaring at him, Naruto said nothing before he started walking away. He didn't like leaving the girl to her fate, but he didn't want to get involved in the situation. He just got out of trouble. He didn't need to get into more right now.
"It's not my problem. It's not my problem. It's not my problem." Naruto whispered, trying to convince himself to stay out of the situation.
"P-Please… stop! Someone please help me!" The girl's voice cried out, making Naruto stop with a growl.
"Grrrrr. Damn it all!" Naruto yelled before turning around and running back towards the group.
One of the men heard the sound of fast approaching footsteps, but just as he turned to look, he was kicked in the face hard enough to send him flying back and roll across the ground. Seeing their friend assaulted, the three men and even the scared girl turned to see an angry blond glaring at them.
"What the hell?! What's your problem, punk?!" The apparent leader of the group yelled in fury, glaring at Naruto.
"You're my problem, asshole." Naruto stated, making the three glare harder at him. "The girl clearly isn't interested in trash. So get lost before I make you eat pavement."
"Grrrr. Bastard. Do you have any fucking idea who we are?" The leader questioned as he and the other two men walked around Naruto, surrounding him. "You're messing with the Black Lotus, brat."
"The most dangerous gang in the city. Anyone dumb enough to fuck with us is a dead man." One of the men stated, pulling out a brass knuckle from his pocket.
"And that includes punks like you." The other man stated, pulling a tantō from his coat.
Naruto looked between the three and while he knew this would be the situation he'd end up in if he got involved, he didn't care. He couldn't live with himself if he had just walked away and did nothing. It would be the same as how he'd been treated all his life and the thought pissed him off. So now, he intended to take that anger out on the three assholes in front of him to help someone who needed it.
The man with the brass knuckle attacked first. He threw a punch at Naruto, but said blond dodged before punching the man in the stomach hard enough to double him over. He followed up with another punch to his face, knocking him away. Before he could hit him again, Naruto quickly turned around and jumped back just in time to avoid being cut by the guy with the tantō. Naruto kept avoiding slashes before running forward. The man slashed at Naruto's face, only for the blond to quickly duck under the blade.
Before the man could react, Naruto threw a punch at his face strong enough to send him flying to the ground. Before he could try to get up, the blond stomped him in the stomach, making him curl up in pain. He then turned back to the man with the brass knuckle and found him in a fighting stance. Naruto ran at him and threw a punch at his face, only for the man to block it. Naruto threw more punches, but the man continued blocking, pissing off the blond.
The man smirked before he did a spin kick, which forced Naruto to raise his arms to block it. The second the man got his footing however, he quickly delivered a punch to Naruto's stomach with his brass knuckle, knocking the wind out of the blond and making him take a step back while holding his stomach.
"Heheh. What's the matter, kid? Can't take a punch?" The man asked smugly.
"S-Screw you." Naruto angrily weezed out before getting over the pain enough to stand up straight.
The man only laughed while getting into his fighting stance again. Naruto watched him carefully before running at him. However, he was forced to duck under a blade coming at him from the side and turn to see the other guy back up with his blade held underhanded. Naruto backed up warily as the two moved in on him. However, he was caught by surprise when a pair of arms wrapped around his neck in a choke hold, forcing him to try an pry them off.
Looking back, he saw it was the man he kicked in the face. Despite the bloody nose, he looked more pissed than hurt. He held Naruto in place as the two men came at him. Seeing this, Naruto kicked forward just as the man with the tantō came at him and used the man as leverage to escape the choke hold and jump behind the man. Before he could react, Naruto kicked him into the one with the brass knuckle, sending them both to the ground.
The guy with the tantō came at him again with his weapon raised in an attempt to stab Naruto. However, the blond quickly grabbed his wrist and spun around while kicking his foot out from under him, forcing the man off the ground and in the air for a second before Naruto pulled him over his shoulder and slammed him onto the ground, dazing the man. Naruto was quick to kick the blade away from him before delivering a bone breaking punch to his face, knocking him out cold.
Naruto stood back up in time to see the other two men back on their feet and looking angry to see their friend knocked out. Behind them, the leader was not happy.
"Come on, god damn it! How hard can it be to kill one fucking punk!?" The leader yelled.
The two men charged at Naruto, the unarmed one picking up the fallen tantō as they did. Naruto was forced to block a punch, only for the man with the blade cut him in the leg. This made the blond hiss in pain, but left him open for the other man to punch him in the face with his brass knuckle, dazing Naruto. Before he could get his bearings, he was punched in the face again by the other man. Soon, both were beating him without mercy.
The girl just watched the scene in horror with tears in her eyes. The boy who came to save her was getting badly hurt and it was heartbreaking to watch. She wanted them to stop before it was too late.
"Please stop! You're killing him!" The girl screamed, making the leader laugh.
"Hahah! That's the idea, girl. He shouldn't have messed with the Black Lotus." The leader said, watching the blond's beating with glee.
The girl could only watch as the man delivered one last punch.
The last punch finally forced Naruto to the ground on his hands and knees. Blood dripped from his mouth as his breathing became ragged. His face was bruised with one eye almost closed from purple swelling, blood dripping from his temple, nose, and mouth, and a busted lip. Among that, Naruto felt like his jaw was cracked and his teeth felt loose. All in all, Naruto felt like he was going to black out, but refused to do so.
One of the men standing over him grabbed him by the hair and forced the blond to look up at them. They were smirking down at him in smug victory.
"Not so tough now, are you?" One asked, making Naruto glare at him. "You should've known better than to mess with the Black Lotus, asshole."
"Now we're gonna kill you and burn your sorry corpse like trash." The other one stated. "Any last words, punk?"
Naruto said nothing as he glared up at them, refusing to give any of them the satisfaction.
"Heh. Didn't think so." The boss said smugly. "Finish him off, boys."
The man with the brass knuckle raised fist again and sent it flying at Naruto's face. In that moment, time seemed to slow down as Naruto's life flashed before his eyes. All the trouble he's ever caused for others. All the faces of the people who looked down on him. All the pain he'd been through. Seeing all this, Naruto knew that he didn't want to die. Not like this. Not by these bastards.
Time seemed to speed back up when the man's fist neared Naruto's face, but before he knew it, the blond caught his fist in a vice-like grip, surprising everyone present. The man groaned in pain as the blond squeezed his hand and refused to let it go as he slowly stood back up, forcing the man to his own knees as he tried and failed to get his hand free.
"Ah! F-Fuck! Let go of my hand, you bastard! Let go!" The man yelled in pain as Naruto slowly twisted his arm while getting back on his feet and forcing the man onto his knees. "S-Someone help me, damn it!"
The man with the tantō got over his surprise before running at the blond and stabbed him in the gut. This made Naruto tense up in what could only be unbearable pain, but he did not lose his grip on the man's hand. Instead, he quickly grabbed the other man's arm in an equally tight grip, making him release a cry of pain. Before he could think straight, Naruto head butted him with a loud crack. The man's eyes rolled back as he fell to the ground knocked out.
Like everyone else, the man who's hand Naruto still has yet to release, was shocked to see this before looking up at the blond, only to feel a chill run down his spin. Naruto was glaring down at him with a face like a demon's. In that moment, the man felt only fear in his heart. Before he could say anything, the blond raised his leg and kicked him in the face over and over, drawing blood from the guy's face all without releasing his hold on the man.
The leader and girl were frozen in shock as they watched the blond break a man's face. They grimaced after he delivered one last kick before finally letting the now limp man fall to ground. Breathing heavily, Naruto looked up at the leader, scaring him shitless. He grabbed the tantō still in his gut and slowly pulled it out, ignoring the pain as he moved towards the man.
The guy backed up in fear as the blond stalked towards him with killing intent in his eyes. Thinking fast, he quickly reached inside his jacket and pulled out a gun before pointing it at Naruto.
"Stop right there, you freak!" The man yelled, making the blond stop in his tracks. "Don't take another step."
Naruto could do nothing but look between the man and the gun, unsure of what he could do. His vision was fading and on top of that, he was only standing through sheer force of will. If the man fired, he'd have no chance of jumping out of the way.
"I've had enough of this shit. You interrupt our fun. Beat up my guys. And now you think you can kill me?" The man questioned, before cocking his gun. "I don't think so. The only one dying here is you!"
"Shit." Naruto cursed, bracing himself for the shot.
"See you in- AHHHH!" The man yelled when something sharp cut into his back.
This caught Naruto by surprise, but when he looked to see what happened, his surprise rose.
It was the girl. She had picked up a broken bottle and stabbed it into the man's back. Naruto didn't know how to feel about her saving him, but wasn't gonna let the opportunity slip. With all his strength, Naruto rushed at the distracted man.
"You little bitch!" The man yelled, knocking the girl to the ground and pulling the bottle from his back.
"Eyes on me, asshole!" Naruto yelled, bringing the man's attention back to him.
Naruto tackled the man to the ground and started stabbing at him, forcing the man to block the blade with his arms. He quickly grabbed his knife hand to hold him back and attempted to aim the gun at the blond, but Naruto grabbed his hand to hold him back as well. The two rolled around trying to overpower the other to no avail. Without thinking, Naruto dropped the blade to punch the man in the face.
The blond quickly knocked the gun from his hand before punching him again. With the man dazed for the moment, Naruto turned to the girl, who was watching everything unfold.
"What are you waiting for?!" Naruto yelled, getting her attention. "Run! Get out of here now!"
Doing as the blond said, the girl quickly got up and ran off. Though, she did look back for a moment before she disappeared down the street. Naruto watched her go before turning back to the downed man, only to be met with a blade to his shoulder. He cursed in pain before a punch to the face threw him off the man, who got to his feet before quickly kicking the blond in the chest, knocking the air out of his lungs. The man didn't stop there. He continued to kick Naruto repeatedly with all his might, fueled by his anger
"You damn punk! You piece of shit! You worthless nobody!" The man yelled with each kick.
Naruto could do little more than protect his face from being kicked while his chest and stomach took the majority of the blows. By the time the kicking stopped, his breathing felt ragged. Coughing, he tasted blood in his mouth and realized some of his ribs must've been broken from the assault.
"D-Damn it all." Naruto cursed, holding his chest in pain.
He tried to get up, but the pain made it almost impossible to move. Naruto could only muster enough strength to sit himself up on his elbows. He watched as the man walked off to retrieve his gun before coming back to stand over the blond. He ignored the glare Naruto was giving him before smirking down at him.
"Heheh. Well kid, it's game over." The man said smugly before pointing his gun at Naruto. "Any last words?"
"G-Go to Hell!" Naruto yelled, before grabbing the tantō in his shoulder.
Despite his entire body screaming in protest, Naruto yanked the blade out of his shoulder and shot up at the man with a yell. This caught the man by surprise, making him start shooting wildly at him. Before he knew it though, the blond had knocked him to the ground and started stabbing him in the chest
"AHHHHHHH!" Naruto yelled as he stabbed the man repeatedly.
The man could do nothing but scream as he tried and failed to get the blond off as the blade penetrated his chest over and over again, making blood splatter all over the both of them.
After what felt like hours, Naruto finally stopped stabbing the man. His entire body was shaking in pain and his breathing was labored, but he ignored all of this as he glared down at the man. His body was shaking with what little life was left in it as blood slowly pooled around him from the multiple wounds in his chest and from his mouth. Without question, he was on the brink of death.
That thought in mind, Naruto slowly stood up on shaky legs and stood over the dying man. Looking down on him like he was an ant. The man looked up at the blond with complete fear in his eyes as he felt his body slowly go limp and his vision grew dark. The last thing he saw was the blond's cold stare before the life finally left his body.
Naruto stared down at the man's dead body for a moment before finally stepping away. He didn't get far though before he suddenly coughed up blood and fell to his knees.
"W-What the hell?" Naruto questioned before grasping his chest.
He froze upon feeling blood. Looking down, he found two bullet sized holes surrounded by blood in his chest and stomach. Naruto wondered when he got shot until he remembered when the man had shot his gun wildly and figured he must've gotten lucky with a couple rounds.
"D-Damn it all." Naruto cursed before coughing up more blood. "I can't die. N-Not like this."
Using the wall next to him as leverage, Naruto pulled himself up as best he could and slowly walked down the street. All the while leaving a trail of blood along the wall. He only got as far as the nearby alley before going in it. He leaned back on the wall before sliding to the ground. He coughed some more before looking to the ground as his vision became hazy. Seeing this, Naruto understood the reality of things. He was gonna die.
"Damn. This isn't how I thought I'd go out." Naruto said to himself. "Alone with nothing to show for my life and nobody to remember me when I'm gone. Oh well. I guess it can't be helped."
Naruto turned his head up and gazed at the stars above. As he did, a smile slowly crept upon his face at one thought.
'Heh. Now that I think about it. I've never done anything good for anyone else until today when saved that girl.' Naruto thought, ignoring his fading vision and his body growing cold. 'I can at least die happy knowing I did something good for once in my life. In the end, that counts for something. Right?'
Naruto's eyes closed as his body went limp and darkness overtook him.
The next thing Naruto knew, wind was rushing past him at incredible speeds. His eyes shot wide open in complete shock to find himself falling from the sky. He looked around in a mix of terror and confusion before finally looking back down to see the ground coming closer as he descended.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" Naruto yelled "WHOA! NO! NO! NOOOO- THUD!"
Naruto hit the unforgiving ground with a loud thud, but to his surprise he wasn't dead. Not dead, but in a lot of pain.
"Owww. That wasn't fun." Naruto groaned out as he slowly sat up and rubbed his aching head. "What the hell was that about? Why was I falling? Why am I not dead? And where am I?"
All these questions went unanswered as Naruto took in his surroundings. He found himself in an alley with a couple of dumpsters and piles of trash situated against the two opposing buildings, both of which had graffiti all over them. This didn't seem too out of the ordinary to him, until he looked up and saw that the sky wasn't as black as night like it was supposed to be right now. Instead, it was a dark almost red with a black moon surrounded by an eery red glow with a red pentagram on it's surface.
"What happened to the moon and why's the sky red?" Naruto said confused. "Is this supposed to be a lunar eclipse?"
His attention was soon drawn to the entrance of the alley, where he saw the silhouettes of people walking past it. Curious, Naruto got up and walked towards the entrance. When he stepped out of the alley, he stopped dead in his tracks at the sight before him. The people wandering the streets in front of him were creatures and beasts of all shapes and sizes.
"O-Okay. Is this a dream? I hope so, because I'd like to wake up now." Naruto said to himself, trying not to freak out.
Those that heard him gave Naruto strange looks before shrugging it off and walking away. Though, he faintly overheard some mutter new arrival, making him raise a brow. Before he could wonder what they meant, someone bumped into him, causing Naruto to fall on his butt.
"Hey! Watch it, jackass!" The person yelled, getting Naruto to look up at him.
The guy looked like an owl, with dark gray feathers all over his body, owl-like "ears", owl-like eyes with the left having a black sclera with a red iris shaped like heart, a lighter gray face, a short, pointy beak, and black claws for fingers. He wore a black trilby with a gray stripe and his torso resembles a trenchcoat.
Naruto wasn't sure what to think about the guy's appearance before he remembered he was on the ground because of him and glared.
"You watch it! You bumped into me, Bird Brain!" Naruto yelled, getting back up to his feet.
"Who're you calling bird brain, Fur Ball?!" The guy yelled back, grabbing Naruto by his shirt and getting in his face with his claws reared back.
Naruto went to yell at the owl guy again, only to pause at hearing what he called him.
"Fur Ball? What do you mean by fur ball?" Naruto asked, confused by the guy's insult.
"'Cause that's what you are, idiot. A walking nine tailed fur ball." The guy insulted again. "Heheh. What? Never looked in the mirror before?"
Naruto glared at the guy for insulting him again, but ignored it for now. He raised his hands up and, to his surprise, found his hands covered in orange fur with sharp claws. Acting on instinct, Naruto grabbed the man by the arm he was holding him with before grabbing his coat. Before the man knew it, he was lifted off his feet and into the air before being flipped to the ground onto his back, making him groan in serious pain.
Naruto glared at him for a moment before catching a glimpse of himself in a window and walked over to it. What he saw in the reflection wasn't his normal face staring back at him.
He now stood a head taller than he used to and resembled a fox with orange fur, spiky red hair with orange fox ears sticking out of the top of his head, eyes with dark sclera and red irises with black slit pupils, a fox-like nose, three whiskers on his cheeks, long fangs and claws, canine legs, and nine orange fox tails.
Naruto rubbed his cheek and felt that the fur was real. He opened his mouth to show his fangs and moved his tongue along them and felt they were real too. He looked to his tails and moved one in front of himself before petting it and found that it too was real.
"No way. It's real. It's all real. What the hell happened to me!?" Naruto yelled, unintentionally punching and cracking the window.
Hearing a groan come from the guy he bodied, Naruto turned to him with a glare. Before the owl can get up, the fox appeared over him with an angry look on his face.
"What?" The guy asked.
Naruto grabbed him by his collar and yanked him off the ground before slamming him against the wall.
"What the hell?" The owl squawked out.
"Shut up and listen!" Naruto yelled with a growl, silencing the bird. "I want answers and you're gonna give them to me. Otherwise, I'm gonna beat you into minced chicken. Got it."
The man nodded quickly, too scared to talk at that moment.
"Good. Now tell me, what is this place? Why am I here? And why do I look like… this?" Naruto asked, gesturing to himself.
The owl guy raised a brow at these questions before it finally clicked in his brain. The fox in front of him must've just died and was very confused about his situation right now. He sighed before raising his arms in surrender.
"Alright, alright. I'll answer all your questions, but only if you let me go first. Unless you're into that kinky stuff?" The guy joked, making Naruto let him go quickly. "Thanks. Anyway, to answer your questions, the easiest way I can start is that you just died. Didn't you?"
Naruto thought about it for second before remembering everything that happened to him before he ended up here. He nodded before speaking.
"Y-Yeah. I did. How did you know, bird brain?" Naruto asked, getting an annoyed look from the guy.
"My name's Travis, Fur Ball. And I know because that explains everything." Travis introduced himself before continuing ". You died, but did something bad that landed you down here in Hell. Here, sinners become demons that can do whatever they want, whenever they want with almost no laws holding us back. There. That answer all your questions?"
Naruto was stunned into complete silence. As Travis' words started sinking in, he felt all kinds of emotions well up within him, but none more so then anger. He was angry that he'd ended up in Hell all because he killed a bastard to save someone in need. He does something good for once in his life, only to be punished with eternal damnation. This thought sent Naruto over the edge. He saw nothing but red and growled before pulling his arm back in a fist, scaring Travis.
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Don't kill the messenger!" Travis yelled, quickly covering his face.
CRACK!
Travis jumped at the loud sound of breaking stone, only to feel unharmed. He lowered his arms and saw Naruto standing next to him with his arm outstretched towards the wall. Following the length of the redhead's arm to where his fist connected, Travis' eyes widened at seeing a crack in the brick wall. He looked back at the fox and saw him breathing hard before his reared his fist back again.
"DAMN IT!"

"DAMN IT!"

"DAMN IT!"
CRACK!
Naruto cursed with each punch he delivered to the wall, slowly widening the whole with each strike. All the while ignoring the blood coming off his hand from hitting solid brick.
Travis just stood by and watched this happen. Normally, he wouldn't care about this kinda shit and just walk away, but he could understand where the kid was coming from. It was a huge bomb drop to know you ended up in Hell without completely understanding why. That's why most sinners typically vented their frustrations in their own way. If punching a wall was this kid's way, then he wasn't gonna judge.
"DAMN IT ALL!" Naruto yelled before punching the wall one last time.
By the time he was done, the brick wall was now littered with cracks and smeared with blood. It looked like it would crumble any minute. Naruto didn't care though. He was panting hard as his anger slowly died down. He didn't even react when Travis stepped up to him with a bored look on his face.
"You done?" Travis asked.
"Y-Yeah. I'm done." Naruto said, before turning to him. "But I don't know what to do now. Got any ideas for a new guy?"
"That's easy. Go to a bar and get fucking drunk." Travis stated without hesitation. "I know a cheap one close by. Come on, I'll drive."
Naruto was hesitant at first. He's never had alcohol before due to being under age and spending money on necessities. Now that he was in Hell though, he figured there wasn't a drinking age required for people. With a shrug of his shoulders, Naruto followed his fellow sinner.
"Find. But you're buying, Bird Brain." Naruto stated, making the owl demon grumble at the nickname.
"Hey wait. What's your name anyway, Fur Ball?" Travis asked, just realizing he didn't know the fox demon's name.
"Hmm? Oh yeah. The name's Naruto. And I guess this is where I start my new life." Naruto said, looking up to the night sky. 'I wonder what my new life has in store for me in Hell?'
