"Duncan! Are you ready to go?" Gwen called out looking at him. She was standing a couple doors down waiting for him.
He was knocking on Courtney's classroom door and she wasn't in there or wasn't answering. He'd been trying to talk to her for so long now. He went into her class earlier and she just left, when he went outside she was gone. He didn't know women could walk so fast in heels. Duncan sighed and turned around.
They headed to Gwen's place as she drove hastily. He checked his watch and realized that he only had 45 more minutes to get done since he wasted 10 in the staff room and knocked on Courtney's class door.
Once they entered her apartment Gwen immediately pressed her lips to his and he wrapped his arm around her waist as they stumbled to her bed and took their clothes off.
As they began Duncan couldn't keep Courtney out of his mind. He tried to push her out but she just kept walking back into his head. All these questions swirled his mind.
Was she avoiding him? Was she happy to see him like he's happy to see her? Did she have feelings for him too? Was Hawaii a lie? Why didn't she call him?
He couldn't focus when Gwen was riding him neither could he focus when she was bent over. He couldn't focus in any position. His mind was else where, he wasn't as erect as he'd usually be because of it.
When they left Duncan was feeling unsatisfied, horny and very frustrated. As he got in the car he glanced over at Gwen to see she looked satisfied.
He walked on campus going straight to his classroom. Duncan saw there were 10 minutes left till the bell would ring and the next class started. He walked to the merging doors and opened them. He sighed as he saw she wasn't in there. Mentally grumbling he was about to close the door when he saw Courtney walk into her class with takeout.
When she got to his desk she saw him and her neutral face turned into an annoyed frown.
"Hey prince-" he started but was bluntly cut off.
"My name is miss.Mallory. Nothing else." She said sharply before sitting at her desk.
He was taken aback by her hostility towards him.
"I think imma just stick to princess just like in Hawaii." Duncan raised an eyebrow.
"Don't. That was a mistake and we'll never talk about it again. Since we're working together I expect you to act professionally." Courtney said simply with no emotion.
Duncan looked at her confused. How could she be treating him like that when she's the one who never called.
Duncan frowned. "I don't think it's a mistake,"he said confused. If anything, it was one of the best thing that's happened to him in years. he was really hoping they could be something. He didn't know how much he wanted it till hope bloomed in his chest when he saw her this morning.
She looked up from her laptop with her face hard and looked into his eyes. "Well, I do." Courtney said with her cold eyes.
His heart dropped as he felt disappointment start to pool in his gut.
He swallowed a gulp and just nodded.
He said nothing more and walked out of her class and into his.

2 weeks later
"Hey, Duncan. I stopped by your class to tell you that Dylan was responsible for the slip-up in the announcements today." A voice called from his doorway.
Duncan looked at the source of the voice and saw it was the principal.
Duncan held in a smirk as the principal continued the punishment of his younger brother. He was proud of him for being original. Duncan did the same thing in middle school.
Flashback.
Duncan began writing the lecture notes on the board. "Now we're going to fully pronounce every syllable, that way you can correctly say the word," Duncan said.
"Hello, jaguars! Today on the announcements we'll talk about our tryouts for..." Duncan zoned out not really caring about what the principal had to say on the morning announcements.
However, his ears perked up when he heard "all teachers and staff"
"I would like to also take the time to say that jv through varsity coaches, teachers and other staff will be meeting up in the staff room after school for an orgy and- wait. That's not supposed to say that?!" The man exclaimed flustered at what he just read.
Duncan smirked. Whoever thought of that was hilarious. Little did he know it was his brother
End of flashback
"So we agree on 3 weeks of detention?" The principal asked snapping him out of his thoughts.
"Uh- after school or during school detention." Duncan replied.
"Either one, I'll let you pick."
Duncan nodded biting back his smile.
"Alright thank you and also you've been doing great as a teacher so far. Keep up the good work." The principal complimented Duncan before walking out the door.
Going back to grade the student's worksheets he saw the name Scott on this one. He sighed rolling his eyes. This kid was annoying.
He brought mud in his class one time and flung it all over the place, then he always tries to cheat on his work and uses the smartest answers that you'd only get from the internet, trying to make it seem like his work. Usually he ignores cheaters and graded it as if they did it themselves, but he had a grudge against him for getting mud in his food that day he was planning to eat it.
Hearing the door open, he looks up to see Gwen.
"Hey, you got any plans?" Gwen asked walking in and sitting on his desk.
Duncan focused back on his work. " not really. I have to grade these pop quizzes I made up out of nowhere cause they were pissing me off."
"All 8 of your classes?" Gwen asked surprised.
"Nah just English class for 4th period. Honestly, I'm not gonna grade it I'm just gonna throw it away tomorrow and tell them I lied about it affecting 20% of their grade." Duncan said putting the pile of papers in a tray that said '4th period'.
Gwen laughed "you're evil."
"But anyway what's up?" He asked grabbing another stack of papers. Luckily for period 5 they were well behaved so all they had was a paragraph to write from a video the school made the teachers show students.
"I was wondering if Dylan and you wanted to come with me to this art gallery, I'm presenting one of my art pieces," Gwen said smiling.
Duncan thought about it and shrugged. "I don't see why not. I can get some food or sum' later on."
Before Gwen could reply the door opened revealed a guy teacher. He tried to remember his name but nothing came. And behind him was Courtney.
Today she wore tight white slacks that accentuated her hips and curved and a red satin button-up with long sleeves with red heels.
Her long hair was in a ponytail.
"Hey guys, we just wanted to let you know they're spraying the room without mailboxes with ant spray so we won't be able to go in there for a week. So they're relying on other teachers to help give out supplies and packets." The guy said.
He looked over at Courtney who refused to make eye contact with him.
"Great. I have to bleach the mug I left in there." Gwen rolled her eyes.
"Anyway. I also just wanted to drop this off," Courtney said, plopping a stack of papers that said 'lesson plans for this week', "John, did you figure out if you had the plans ready, or if you were able to do the movie thing next Friday for the classes?"
The man next to Courtney who he now knew as John turned to her, "It looks that way so far."
The man was tall, dark, handsome, very well built, and had a friendly smile plastic on his face. He wondered what the heck was he doing with Courtney, but then mentally slapped himself.
He shouldn't be worried about who she's hanging with, even if it was an attractive person she was hanging out with.
He clenched his jaw as he stared at the pair.
Without another word she walked out of the room with the guy she came in with.
"Before we go to the restaurant..." the sentence was left unfinished as the door closed, interrupting the conversation. Duncan felt jealously start to accumulate in his lower abdomen.
Restaurant? Where the hell was she going! Was she going with John?
However Duncan didn't miss that look she gave Gwen before leaving. Looking over at Gwen he saw she had the same look Courtney had.
—————————————————————
"Do I have to go? I wanted to play halo 3 with Austin." Dylan groaned. Duncan just got home and told Dylan to get dressed and about Gwen's art thing.
"Come on I'll buy us food. Besides I was the one getting lectured about your prank so you're going." Duncan said before walking away to go change from his work attire.
Putting on a skull shirt and cargo shorts he checked his phone for any texts.
He saw his Bestfriend Geoff's text.
Geoff: hey man! Can I ask you for a favor?
Duncan: let me guess, Bridgette kicked you out for the night again?
Geoff: no! We're actually doing good. And I learned my lesson. But Bridge needs me to hook her friend up with a friend and so I thought of you.
Duncan: why me? And I would but I can't I'm taking Dylan to some art crap.
Geoff: she's a handful. You're the only one out of all my friends besides Joel that I know that can handle her. And Joel is dating someone.
Duncan: Is she hot? And maybe next time. But I'm not looking to date though.
Geoff: Ik I just need someone for her but I'll tell Bridgette that you're busy.
Duncan sent him a thumbs up before grabbing his shoes.
The name of Geoff's girlfriend reminded him of Courtney's Bestfriend that went to Hawaii with her.
When he told Geoff he met a girl named Bridgette on his trip he shrugged and said it must've been a popular name.
Once he and Dylan were ready to go they got in the car ready to drive to their destinations.
"Do you like Gwen?" Dylan asked from the passenger seat.
Duncan glanced over at Dylan in surprise. "What? No why would you say that?"
"Cause you're going to some lame art show and let's be real if it was anyone else you wouldn't. ." He replied before going on his phone.
Duncan scoffed. "Do you not hear the word friends in friends with benefits? Those other women were just casual hookups."
This time Dylan couldn't help but roll his eyes. " dude. We all know where friends with benefits leads people. Someone's gonna catch feelings."
Duncan furrowed his eyebrows. Was Gwen catching feelings? He couldn't see how she would be. She wasn't giving out the signs.
"Don't worry that won't happen. Besides I could always break it off if that happens." He shrugged.
"You don't think you'd try with her?" Dylan asked.
"Try what?" Duncan snorted.
"Getting serious with her. I've seen you guys talk to each other and shit. You guys vibe well." Dylan explained.
Duncan just shook his head. "No. I don't see anyone besides sex and a friend. The only person I came close to was Courtney."
His brother sighed as he looked through the window. He could tell his brother still wasn't over Courtney.
Soon they pulled up to the art gallery.
Duncan was going his best to be supportive but he was bored and so was his brother. They however applauded and congratulated Gwen.
After a few hours, it was 7 P.M.
"What are you guys in the mood to eat?" Duncan asked.
"Since we're by that fancy restaurant can we go there? I've been wanting their cheese sticks for the longest!" Dylan asked excitedly.
Gwen smirked "I'm down. You up for it?"
Duncan shrugged. "I'll send you the address and I'll meet you there."
Once the address was sent Dylan and Duncan got in the car and headed toward the restaurant.
Gwen was a few minutes behind them thanks to the stop lights.
"I can't wait to go home. If I win this round I get 50."
Duncan scoffed. "No wonder you want to play so bad. Have thought about joining any school clubs or sports?"
Dylan hummed in thought before speaking up. "I was thinking about football? Maybe swimming? Probably do both. We'll see though."
"So you're gonna wear a little Speedo?" Duncan snickered. Dylan gave him a flat look. "I hope you stub your toe and twist your ankle when we walk into the restaurant."
Duncan let out a gruff laugh as he pulled into the parking lot. "Take a break on those pranks then. There's only so much I can do for you. I don't want you to be kicked off could mess up a scholarship if you want to down that road."
Dylan smirked. "Yeah yeah."
"Go in and order I'm gonna wait out here for Gwen so she doesn't get lost. But she said to get something vegan for her."
Dylan chuckled "oh yeah 'wait' for her" he replied suggestively.
Duncan rolled his eyes and ignored him.
Dylan went inside and waited in line. Looking around, people were dressed up in their fancy clothes. Whenever Duncan and himself would walk in they get started for not dressing like everyone else.
One thing Duncan has taught him was to not care about what people think or say.
He was glad he learned that at a young age.
"Next!"
"Hi, ma'am. May I get fried calamari with a side of mozzarella cheese sticks, ravioli with egg drop soup, and something vegan. You can pick whatever vegan thing." Dylan informed the lady running a hand through his shaggy black hair.
"Okay great. Would you like a table?" The lady asked.
Immediately thinking no, he fixed his mouth to reply but a loud yell beat him to it.
"Dylan?!"
Confused he looked over to see a blonde jogging toward him. He started thinking of everything bad he could've done in the last 48 hours so he could get ready to apologize, he was again interrupted.
"Hey, dude! What are you doing here?!" The guy nearly tripped.
He looked up to see Geoff. No wonder he didn't recognize him at first. He didn't have his signature cowboy hat on.
"Hey, Geoff. And I'm getting food for Duncan, a friend, and I, what are you doing here? I see you all dressed up."
Geoff smiled. "I brought my girlfriend and her friend here. Are you going anywhere after this?"
"No, not really. Probably just going to go home." Dylan shrugged.
Before Geoff could reply the woman that was taking Dylan's order cleared her throat.
"Sorry but you're holding up the line. Is this order to go, or to stay?"
"You can make it to g-"
"Make it to stay. We have enough chairs for 3 more." Geoff offered.
Dylan debated if he should take the offer. He did want to go home but he didn't mind hanging out with Geoff and Bridgette. They're fun to hang around. Plus he didn't think Duncan would care. He was Geoff's Bestfriend after all.
"Okay, they'll come in soon. But to stay please." Dylan said
"Okay your order will be out shortly. " the lady replied before calling the next person in line.
"I'll be right back I'm gonna tell Duncan we'll be hanging out with you."
"Awesome. We're in the back right corner." Geoff informed him before heading back to his table.
Dylan turned to go tell his brother what the new change in plans were.
Walking over to Duncan he saw Gwen and they were having what looked like serious talk.
"Hey uh, Geoff invited us to sit with him. We're in the back right."
"Alright," Duncan said. He could tell he was tense.
So Dylan figured he'd lay off the sarcastic comments and just go back inside.
Dylan followed Geoff's instructions and only saw him and his girlfriend. "Hey, guys. Where's the friend?"
"Oh, she went to the bathroom. She'll be out in a second." Bridgette replied.
As the 3 began catching up, Duncan and Gwen walked in.
"So, do you want to stay? If not you don't have to. I can see you on Monday or something." Duncan said.
"Nah we can go. I'd like to meet your friends."
"You sure?" Duncan asked raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah what's wrong dinner date?" Gwen snorted jokingly. Duncan smirked back. "Well then let's go date." He joked back heading towards the back.
"Hey man! Oh hey, who's dudette?" Geoff yelped.
"I'm surprised he hasn't kicked him out of this place yet," Dylan said amused.
"Yeah, there can be real pricks here. And this is Gwen she's a friend of mine."
Dylan snorted and Duncan whacked him in the back of the head.
"Joking, jeez."
Duncan sat down and looked to see 2 other plates with no people attending them.
"Where's the others?"
Geoff took a fork full of his pasta before speaking. "She went to go check on mocha. But they'll be back."
Duncan was gonna ask who the hell was mocha but then realized it was probably one of his girlfriends friends he was texting him about earlier.
Duncan nodded as Gwen and Dylan got in a conversation. Geoff started talking to Duncan as the heard footsteps heading up to the table.
Duncan looked up to see a familiar woman standing there. Duncan couldn't help but freeze.
"Hey guess what I'm doing when I get home later." Dylan said talking to the woman.
" hopefully get some sle- Duncan?!"

A/N: heyyyy I've been getting lots of compliments on this story and I really appreciate it. I'm hoping to focus on this and affairs soon cause I have 2
new story ideas.
1. Courtney and Duncan medieval times. Duncan is a prince and his childhood friend is a peasent. But we'll he ever see her again after enemies invade?
tell me if you like that.
HEY. tell me your opinion on this chapter. What do you think Duncan and Gwen's conversation was? How do you feel about Courtney's icy behavior towards Duncan? And I know the food probably don't go with eachother but hey I eat them all. Except the vegan stuff.
Anyway duncney will have more time next chapter or the chapter after. I have to make sure this story goes smoothly. Sorry for the wait.
x_Neito_Monoma_x thank you for the help!
