Courtney and Duncan are currently, upstairs in her room. They just came back from an exhausting hunt for costumes.
Courtney was sitting on the bed back against the head board, While Duncan was laying in between her legs watching The Bachelor staring Colton Underwood on her 75" flat screen TV. Courtney was watching The bachelor with Duncan while playing with Duncan's faux Mohawk.
"This show is so pointless" Duncan states bluntly. Courtney rolled her eyes at Duncan's statement. "That's because you have have no taste in in TV shows. All you watch is the horror movie channels... " She said trailing of distracted by the show, watching the scene where Demi and Courtney were arguing about what they said about one another. Duncan sat there staring at the screen confused and annoyed "The girls on here Is annoying. It's called a competition for a reason. Who ever that chick in the red dress is really giving me a headache." Duncan says rubbing his temples
" I know right! She's dramatic for absolutely no reason!" " Isn't that familiar" Duncan says sarcastically. Courtney shot him a dirty look but continued "Anyways the fact that her name is Courtney is an embarrassment to everyone named Courtney."
" Well that makes sense" Duncan Snickers. " Ha Ha Haa" Courtney said sarcastically. Just to get on her nerves even more he started laughing even more. Courtney lightly smacked him on his forehead.

"Okay" Courtney declared walking back in the room with a bag of Burger King. Duncan grumpily got up from under the bed. When he saw the bag from Burger King he rolled his eyes and started adjusting his clothes.
"I told you it was just a Uber with our food" he said with a annoyed tone. " Well excuse me for not wanting to get in trouble. If my parents especially if my dad catches you here I will be in big trouble." She told him probably for the millionth time this week. " Baby I know" He chuckled. "If they see you here who knows what thought will go their heads" Courtney said cringing at her possible parents thoughts. "Something we do all the time when they're not here" Duncan says smirking. Courtney started blushing and threw his Whopper at him, making sure to aim to his face. Unfortunately for Courtney he caught it and got his cheese sticks and his Hi-C.
Courtney walked to the closet and took out near 15 bags of costumes and set them on the floor by the bed, where Duncan was eating.
"Princess?" Duncan said looking at her confused. "What?" "Aremf you gonna eath tourf food?" He said with his mouth full. " Ew Duncan stop talking with your mouth full! Your gonna make your food fly all over me!" Courtney said with disgust clear in her tone. Once Duncan swallowed the rest of his food, he asked her again without food in his mouth, much to her felief.
"Dunkie I'm not hungry right now." She said nonchalantly. But Duncan wasn't fooled and Courtney saw it and before he could say anything she quickly added "Annnnndd besides I really want see what costumes we're picking." She said looking around the room for something. " Looking for this." Duncan said thrusting a Spicy Chicken Sandwich in her direction, trying to get her to eat her food.
"Um no. Where is the rest of the bags we got from the mall?" "I-umm damn..." He said trying to think where the rest of the bags were. " Oh they're in the car. Don't worry babe I'll get it."
" Duncan you can't go out there what if my parents come home." "Princess they won't even be here for another four hours." Duncan said waving it off, walking to the door. "Bu-" "Princess if your so worried then come with me." Duncan called going down the stairs. " Ugh fine."

Once they got down stairs Courtney looked outside to make sure the coast was clear before letting Duncan out.
Duncan went to the trunk of Courtney's Boss 302 Mustang and got the rest of the costumes. While doing that he remember the reason why she got the car, she got it cause it had Boss in the name. Duncan smiled at the memory.
Once he walked inside with the costumes, Courtney hastily shuts the door and let's out a sigh of relief. "Princess you worry so much"
"Whatever"
AN:okay based on title of this chapter of them choosing different costumes, I thought I would put pictures of the costumes they try on from the DxC Fan art (Don't own the pictures )
Courtney took out the costumes and set them out and looked at all of them doubtfully. Duncan had the same expression planted on his face. "Well princess we have a lot of work to do." Duncan says taking in all the costumes they have to try on. "Yeah" Courtney breathed.
This is gonna take forever they both thought at the same time.

"Alright babe I'm finished changing" Duncan said adjusting his wings in Courtney's mirror. Once he heard the bathroom door open he turned around to look at her costume. Once he saw it his mouth fell to the floor. "Dammmmnnn princess" he said Loving what he was seeing.
Courtney blushed " I don't like this one it shows too much" Duncan finally snapped out of his trance and said "A little bit but you don't have to wear it to the party." Courtney looked at him suspiciously and said " I don't?" "Nope." Courtney folded her arms "and why is that?" " Well I rather see that on you in here until it's on the floor" he said suggestively. Courtney rolled her eyes. " And besides I don't want no guys to staring at you." Duncan said while getting the next set of costumes.
Courtney blushed feeling butterflies in her stomach. "That's all your costume?" She said . "Yeah like it ?" "No what kind of costume only has wings." She said baffled
" You have to add the rest yourself." Courtney sighed and shook her head, got her next costume.
"Hey princess" Duncan asked right before she closed the door. "Huh" "You need any help getting out of that dress" and in response of Duncan's question, he hears the door slam shut.

"Are you done?" A female voice called out from the bathroom
"Gimme a second Princess" Duncan said barely finishing pulling up his pants and buckling his belt. After he finishes her puts his fingerless gloves on. "I'm done"
Courtney came from out the bathroom wearing a silver dress with one leg from the lower hip exposed on the left, and the right side the dress continued a little bit over mid thighs. Her dress was backless. She had a thick silver band on her wrist, black high heel ankle boots, and pointy head phones things on her ear.
Duncan had a very long leather jacket that went to his jacket with green lines outlining the jacket and had a alien on the right side of his chest. With a tight dark grey almost siver shirt on, tucked under a belt that had silver pointy studs on it. Black pants and black and silver boots that was tucked under his pants. With black fingerless gloves with silver studs on it.
They both looked Each other over. "You look good"Courtney commented. "So do you"Duncan said in a flirty way. Courtney held down her blush and said" let's put this in the maybe pile" "Definitely" he said ,taking off showing his really toned arms. Courtney was eyeing his arms while Duncan was grabbing another costume. He tossed it to her but unfortunately for Courtney it hit her chest and lost her balance and fell butt first on the floor.
Duncan rushed to Courtney and helped her up. "You good?" Trying to hold back laughter but failing miserably. Courtney scowled and said as Duncan help her up "shut up" .

After Like 50 costumes
Courtney hung up her phone call with her parents.
Shit, shit, shit
She ran upstairs to her room and went to the bathroom door.
Bang Bang Bang
"Duncan Hurry up! My parents are on their way back!"
"Almost done" he called back from the bathroom grunting. Courtney tapped her boots impatiently.
{ 10 mins in the past}
Courtney was looking for her phone, she was expecting a 3way from Heather and Bridgette.
"Duncan I can't find my phone, did you see it in the bathroom?" "I didn't see it in there, did you leave it down stairs earlier?" "I uhh I think I did" Courtney quickly grabbed her costume and said "I'm gonna look for my phone down stairs" she said heading for the door the she paused "And change in the bathroom I don't wanna walk in on you " she said continuing down the stairs. Duncan smirked heading to the bathroom.
Courtney put the costume on the sofa and re-traced her steps. Fortunately the phone started ringing.

Excited and thanking God Duncan didn't hear her ring tone, she followed her ring tone. Once she retrieved her phone in between the sofa cushions, she was expecting Heather or Bridgette. But instead it was her Father.
Courtney quickly answered the phone and her father's smooth voice filled her ears.
"Hey Pumpkin what are you up to?"
"Hi Daddy I uhh just finished my homework from my AP classes"
"Good now your mother and I will be home in about 15 minutes, okay
Courtney quickly started changing into her costume.
" I understand Daddy, how'd did the dinner go?"
"It was great met new clients and pitifull people who needed my help."
"That's great Daddy" she said shoving her boots on.
"But your mother is not in a good mood. Miss.Harper had the same dress as your mother." Courtney faintly heard her mother muttering bitterly.
"But anyways Courtney I'm about to get in the car, I expect your homework to be done so we can practice your debate strategies"
"Understood bye Daddy love you"
"I know, see you when I get back"
Once Courtney heard the phone hang up she quickly blinked away her tears and put the rest of her costume.

Duncan finally came out the bathroom. Courtney and Duncan looked over their costumes.
"Duncan we should wear these it would be fitting since the party is on a ship"
"Good idea, now let's take them off" Duncan said suggestively
"Good idea" Courtney mocked walking past him and shutting the bathroom door. Once they finished cleaning up they had 5 minutes left till her parents got home.
"Duncan drive safely please and don't get arrested" she said hugging him. Duncan hugged her back tighter "I promise I won't." he said kissing her on the lips. They were practically making out till Courtney's parents pulled into the driveway.
They both pulled away. Courtney opened the window then they heard her dad call her coming up the stairs. Courtney started heading the door. Duncan gently pulled princess by her hips and kissed her. They pulled away when they heard her father's foot steps get even closer to the door. Duncan quickly kissed her forehead " love you princess. Text me" and he jumped out the window "Love you too" she quickly but quietly called out. He turned around telling her I love you in sign language and jumping on his motorcycle and driving away.
Courtney's door opened and her father stepped in. He started talking about everything that happened at the party. Courtney however wasn't listening she was thinking about Duncan.
The sound of a window closing snapped her out of her daze. "Courtney you have to be careful about having your window open criminals will get ideas like Duncan" he said rolling is eyes saying his name. Getting irritated Courtney said "goodnight love you " "Goodnight Pumpkin" he said leaving closing the door.
Courtney noticed that he didn't say I love back like he used to. It started when she started dating Duncan"
Courtney sighed. The rest of her night was spent talking to Bridgette and Heather and texting Duncan.
