The class was chattering with dread and excitement about who their Math partners for the rest of the school year.
"I hope I get one of you guys for my partner " Heather says hopefully while doubtfully scanning the room for a person she would have to deal with for a whole year.
Courtney nodded looking around. There was nobody she liked here besides Bridgette and Heather- well besides from DJ he can be tolerated.
Bridgette shrugged " I really dont care who I get." She says looking over everyone, then she sees Eva. "Nevermind as long as I dont get her I would be the most grateful person in this room" She say remembering the raven haired bodybuilders hate for her.
Heather was about to respond when the teacher, Mr.Harris walked in the door. The whole room got silent.
"Sorry I'm late I had a slight problem with my dog" He said chuckling "You see she had a..." he started trailing off when he saw that no one cared.
"..well um anyways Is the 3rd day of school so we have our first assignment yayy." He said enthusiastically.
He walked to the desk and sat down "so after I take attendance I will tell you your Study Buddies so you can do you-"
The door suddenly bursted open with a bang. Geoff, Duncan and Alejandro walked in.
"Sorry were late Mr.Dude." Geoff told him tipping his hat while all thrrs of them walk to their seats in the back.
Alejandro apologized while Duncan looked he couldn't care less.
"Usually I mark you guys Tardy but I was late as well so I'll mark you on time, but next time be on time." He said smiling warmly at the trio.
The all nodded while Courtney looked at them, well Duncan disdainfully.
"So like I was saying we'll go over our Study buddies you will have for the rest of the year so you guys can receive your first assignment. But first attendance ".
"James whittington?"

"Okayy" he announced "I'm going to read off the list of partners for the rest of the year, now this is set boy and a girl okay. This is permanent so dont come begging to me asking to switch your partners. Now here we go"

" Sit with your partners now."
They all got to their partners happily and not so happily.
"Mr. Hariss" Courtney called out "yess uh" he said trying to remember her name. "Courtney " she said answering for him" I have a girl for my partner " she says.
"And I have a guy as my partner said" Dj calls out as well
"Oh uhh... you!" He said pointing at Dj "and... you!" He said pointing at Cory "are partners "
Courtney stiffened "is it okay If I can be partners with DJ instead"
"Nope! now take this assignment seriously class you have the rest of the period to ask each other questions to get to know each other I'm grading based on participation and imma ask questions tomorrow "
Courtney groaned, she was really hoping that she wouldn't have to deal with him this year. She got up reluctantly and made her way to Duncan. This is gonna be the worst year of my life.
Duncan rolled his eyes at Courtney.
She sat down next to him . "So what are your goals for this year?"
"To fuck this girl" Courtney gasped " you PIG! I meant academically "
Duncan sighed "um to get a b in my classes " . Courtney wrote his answer down. "Okay your turn". "Um are you still going out with farm boy?" Courtney grimaced at the dare Heather gave her "ew no " "why? " "um this Is off topic" "so" ""soo" I'm not answering" " if you don't answer imma go to sleep " Courtney glared at him and he blankly looked at her. "Ugh fine cause I didnt like him anymore and it was a dare" Duncan nodded "he wasn't good enough for you anyways" he says shrugging.
Courtney felt her heart skip a beat "what do you mean?" He looked at her surprised "you seriously dont know?" She shook her head in response.
"Well I could tell that he wasn't satisfying you he wasn't enough he treated you like you was a regular, he never treated you like a equal , you were way out of his league. "
Courtney felt her heart speed up "you really think that." She whispered
" princess I mean every word. I'm not gonna lie if I had you I would treat you like a real princess " Courtney blushed
"Thank you Duncan " " you're welcome princess "
Maybe this year wouldn't be so bad...
Okay this is trash I know but I was just trying to post. Anyways there is a new book coming outtttt but dont hate me for this . But the next one I'm hoping will be better
