Courtney felt her heart shatter as she read the note her now ex boyfriend Alex wrote her.

The note: Hey I dont know if this is the right time but I dont think I can do this anymore. I have to much on my mind and alot of stuff going on. I cant continue this relationship anymore. I just cant be worrying about your feelings and cant worry about my families feelings right now. I just cant do it right now...

Courtney felt the water quickly rush to her eyes she looked beside her at him, he avoided her look. She quickly got up and asked to go to the bathroom. As soon as she stepped foot out the class, she couldn't hold it anymore and started crying she sped walked as fast as she can to the bathroom.

She started wiping her eyes so no one would see on her way to the bathroom when she felt her body collide with something hard. Warm. And a smell of faint smoke and cologne.

"Skipping class are you princess?" Said a teasing voice. But once he saw her face he felt something he couldn't explain. "Sorry" she mumbled trying to walk away as fast as she can. But the guy grabbed her arm. "Hey, what's wong?".

Courtney just broke past him and ran away.

Duncan walked to class confused and wondering what the hell happened to her. Luckily he sits by Bridgette which is Courtney's Bestfriend.

Bridgette was looking in Geoff's Direction while he was across the room talking to DJ. "Bridgette" Bridgette quickly whipped around "I-uh yeah?"

Usually Duncan would start teasing her about her staring at Geoff but he had something serious to talk about.

" what's wrong with Courtney?"

Bridgette quickly snapped out her embarrassment and got serious " what do you mean what's wrong with Courtney? What happened?".

"I was walking to the gates to skip class and she bumps into me and she crying like alot." Duncan said replaying the situation in his head again.

Bridgette thought for a moment then without a word got up and got a pass to go to the bathroom.

Bridgette to the bathroom that Courtney always goes to. When she first walked in it quiet then she heard sniffing and crying. She knocked on the biggest stall of the bathroom. "Courtney? What's wrong?" She heard light footsteps and the lock on the door slide open.

When Bridgette walked in the bathroom she saw Courtney holding a note and crying. She quickly rushed by her side "Courtney what's wrong? " courtney didn't answer she just cried harder and pushed the note towards her.

Bridgette looked confused but read the note. Then she hugged Courtney. "Courtney it's okay he wasnt good enough for you anyway. He wasnt even on your level. " she said trying to comfort him. Courtney just sobbed harder " I dont understand why we couldn't just talk this out and fix this. If he was feeling like this he could of said something..." sobbing harder by the second.

Bridgette got her phone out while hugging Courtney.

Heather walked in the bathroom and heard Bridgette and crying. She knocked on the stall and Bridgette let her in. " Courtney it's okay He wasnt any good anyway especially if he couldn't just say it he's a bitch." Heather said giving her a box of tissues she stole from Beth.

Courtney just grabbed the tissues and wiped her eyes. "That's what I said! I don't understand why he couldn't just say it to me instead of writing a fucking note. " she said crying.

Bridgette hugged Courtney" it's okay its gonna get better" Bridgette said "yeah Courtney that piece of shit isnt worth your time or tears" Heather said hugging her as well.

After the three girls left the bathroom after calming Courtney down they all went back to their classes. When Courtney get back to her class she felt the tears returned and she put her head down and silently started crying.

There was only 3 mins of class left and she felt his eyes burning a hole at the side of her frame. As soon the bell rang he quickly left class with out a word

When Bridgette returned the class Duncan quickly asked her what's wrong with her. And when she told him what happened he felt his blood boil.

Courtney went into to the last period of the day feeling even more devastated than before she him with another girl and it hasn't even been 3 hours.

She sat in her 7th period feeling down and she sat in her assigned seat. After the bell rang Duncan walked in and sat in his seat witch is right next to Courtney.

Duncan studied her her eyes were puffy she had a frown on her face and you can see how broken she was in her eyes.

He knew that her duchebag ex already was dating someone it's all over school.

Duncan was about to say something but he the teacher interrupted him today is a free period outside or in here cause unfortunately I'm needed in the principal's office but I marked you here for attendance. The sub is on it's way so if you wanna leave I would leave before it gets here. Then he left.

Duncan had an idea and grabbed Courtney's arm and dragged her out the door. She would've made a huge effort to get out of his grasp but she was feeling tired weak and exhausted.

He continued pulling her till they got to the schools abandoned room. Courtney didnt even know about it, and she was very involved in school.

Duncan let go and turned around. And look at Courtney. She confused and annoyed but if you look deeper you saw the pain...

"What's wrong Princess?" Duncan said emotionless

Courtney couldn't read his facial expression it looked... blank.

"Nothing is wrong Duncan the only thing that's wrong is the fact you dragged me here for no reason " "bullshit if something wasn't going on your eyes wouldn't be puffy and you wouldn't have been crying this morning " Duncan said to her. Courtney didnt reply she just remained silent.

"Courtney." He said seriously. Courtney was shocked that he said his name. "What's wrong." Courtney eyes started watering and some tears came out her eyes. Duncan immediately embraced her in a hug holding her while she was crying.

She took the note out her pants pocket and handed it to him. He read it and took his lighter out of his pocket. Courtney looked confused while wiping his tears.

He lit the lighter " Courtney this represents the way you saw him" he said holding the pristine paper "versus how he really is" he finishes putting the lighter to the fire. The paper sits at the fire turning black shrinking into nothing but black ash.

"Princess, Courtney you were waayy to good for him. He always lied he always complained he was whiny and doesn't try like you do your someone that's going somewhere in life that dick is gonna rely on his looks and he realize he it's not enough he is gonna regret loosing you. Courtney your a beautiful person with a big heart that deserves better. Even though he totally downgraded he still missed out on something amazing" Duncan say looking straight in her eyes.

Courtney looked at him processing everything he said. Duncan wiped the tear streaks off her cheeks. Courtney hugged him and Duncan was shocked "thank you" she whispered Duncan gave w warm smile "your welcome " that's when he knew that feeling he had then was pain, the ache of seeing the love of your life... broken.

AN:okay this exact think happened to me with the breakup and crying and crap. But unfortunately I didn't have the friends... or someone like Duncan but I'm trying to write some more now that I'm feeling a little better but thank you for reading and the next chapter wont be sad~ Courtney M
