A/N: Song used is, That Girl by Jennifer Nettle

Stepping out of the elevator, you're greeted by David. "Wow! You look stunning." David silly grins at you.

"Thank you, David" you blush at him. "You're looking quite dashing yourself."

As the evening went on, you found to be actually enjoying yourself with David, chatting and getting to know one another when something then catches David's attention. "Ah, I see that Ike is here as well..." David motions for him to come over.

"David..." Ike smiles at him in greeting, then turns to you with a much more stoic look on his face and mumbles, "Ms E..."

"Good evening, Mr Evans" you casually return the greeting.

"Are you meeting someone?" David asks him.

"No. Just came for a drink and to clear my head" Ike tells him. "Anyway... I'll leave you two to get back to your date."

"That's strange..." David frowns as he watches Ike walking away. "Usually he has a lot more talk in him than that."

"Maybe he didn't want to impose" you remark in an attempt to steer David away from the actual reason behind Ike's behaviour.

The rest of the evening you were filled with uneasiness. Although you tried your best to enjoy dinner, the sense of being watched was hounding you while sitting there. Not being able to handle it anymore, you sneak a peek over your shoulders and, lo and behold, there was Ike, staring daggers at you and David.

Once the date was over, David escorted you back to your apartment. Not wanting to seem ungrateful at his efforts of this evening, you bid him goodnight by kissing him on the cheek.

A few seconds later there was a knock at the door, believing it to be David again, you go to open it.

"What do you want Isaac?" you grumble out when seeing it was him.

"I couldn't help but noticed how you were enjoying your date with David" Ike glares down at you in response.

"I'm really not in the mood for this Isaac" you turn your back on him.

"Well, I don't give a damn what you're in the mood for or not" Ike states stepping into your apartment. "We're going to talk about what happened and we're going to do so now."

"There's nothing to talk about" you tell him.

"Oh yes, there is!" Ike steps up closer to you. "How about the fact that you went on a date with another man."

Raising a brow at him, you calmly respond, "whom I go on a date with, has nothing to do with you."

"It damn well does! Because you're mine!" Ike yells at you in response.

"Don't you yell at me!" you raise your voice back at him, "and don't act like I'm the one at fault. You lied to me about who you were. You got me to sleep with you, knowing you were my boss and that you were married."

"It's not the way you think it is, Sweetheart..." Ike tries to reason with you.

"Yes, it is..." you begin to push him towards the open door, "now, get the hell out of my apartment."

"Sweetheart, just give me a chance to explain everything please..." Ike pleads but you shake your head at him in refusal, slamming the door closed in his face. Falling with your back against the door and begin to silently cry as you slowly slid down against it.

Damnit! Ike silently curses himself out as he stared at the closed door in front of him. I really screwed up big time. I never should have lied to her.

Knowing that he had to somehow fix things with Y/N, Ike decides to give her the night to cool off and to speak to her the next day, but in her office though. He knew it was the one place she couldn't kick him out of nor refuse to see him in.

The Next Morning

"Come inside!" you called out when there was a knock at your office door. "Hey, Boss-man..." you smile when Stevie enters.

"Hey, Y/N/N" Stevie greets you with a tense look upon his face.

"What brings you to my castle?" you crack a joke at him.

"Honestly... I'm not quite sure where to begin" Stevie lets out a tense breath. "Last night, on way to me suite, I passed yours and the door was open." Stevie then lets out deep sigh as he takes a seat, "I heard yelling coming from inside and was concerned about you. Y/N/N... I heard everything you and my dad spoke about..."

"Oh, my god!" you gasp out in mortification, tears starting to form in your eyes. "Stevie, I swear I didn't know he was your dad up until the night of the staff party."

"I know, Y/N/N..." Stevie gets up to comfort you, "I heard everything you told him."

"You must think I'm a terrible person!" you begin to cry out. "A homewrecker..."

"No, I don't..." Stevie holds tightly onto you as he tries to calm you down, "you did nothing wrong."

"But I ruined your parents' marriage by sleeping with your father..." you state while in tears.

"Shhh... It's ok, sweetheart" Stevie gently rocks you in his arms, "Don't cry... everything will be ok."

While Stevie continues to comfort Y/N, neither one of them hears the door opening nor do they notice the person standing there, watching them in total disbelief.

Ike couldn't believe his eyes when he entered Y/N's office, there she was, standing wrapped up passionately in Stevie's arms!

Too heartbroken at what he saw, Ike silently lives without making his presence known. Not only was she possibly screwing the bartender, but Stevie as well! He thinks to himself as he filled with rage at what was being made clear to him now.

Realizing that Y/N was the woman he thought she was, Ike decides then that it was time to go back home.

Later That Evening

Ike goes to meet up with Stevie in the club to inform him about his decision to leave.

"Hey, son" Ike greets Stevie, trying his best not to lash out at the boy.

"Hey, Dad" Stevie smiles at him in greeting. "You're just in time for the show."

Before Ike could respond, the lights begin to dim and Y/N walks out onto the dance floor and begins to sing.

A friend gave me your number

To tell you watch your lover's tracks

See I always kind of like you

So, I wanna have your back

There is a good chance by the time you hear this

The story's gonna say

That I came onto him

But it was never quite that way...

The raw emotions in the way she sings, telling the story of how she truly feels

I know boys can be promiscuous

Yeah, that's just what they do

But this involves the both of us

Yeah, it's our business too

So, I thought I'd call to tell you

It was never in my plan

I'm not the scarlet Devil

I don't want to take your man...

Once Y/N finishes, Ike knew then that thing's between them would and can never work out, his decision to leave seemed like a good one to make at that moment.

"Son, I've decided to go back to Miami." Ike informs Stevie, "There's some issues that came up and I'm needed back home."

"I thought you were staying at least for three more weeks" Stevie stare at Ike in disappointment.

"Yeah... but everything seems to be under control here and I'm needed more in Miami than here in any case" Ike quickly lies in response.

"Well, you know what's best, Dad" Stevie accepts his explanation with a shrug. "I'm gonna miss you though..."

"Don't worry, Son" Ike pats him on the shoulder, "I'll be back in a few months to check up on things."

"I'm going upstairs to start packing" Ike states getting up from his seat to leave, "I leave first thing in the morning. Goodnight, Son."

"Goodnight, Dad" Stevie pats Ike on the back as they hug good-bye.
