Four Weeks Later

Waking up the morning, you found yourself feeling extremely ill; nauseous, lightheaded and not having any appetite at all. Not really thinking too much of it though, you shrug it off and go about your day as usual.

As the day continues on, you still find yourself felling the same as this morning but yet you force yourself to push on.

You were attempting, yet failing miserably to try and concentrate on the documents lying on your desk, when suddenly there was a knock at the door.

"Hey, Y/N/N" Stevie greets as he entered into your office and takes a seat. "How have you been doing?"

"I've been ok, Stevie..." you faintly smile at him.

"You don't look that well" Stevie frowns at you in concern, "are you really ok?"

Letting out a little chuckle, you shake your head, "can't slip anything pass you, now can I."

Stevie nods at you in response, pushing for the truth. "I just haven't been feeling well for a past few days now..." you answer him.

"That doesn't sound good, Y/N/N" Stevie's frown deepens. "Maybe you should sit out on tonight's show. I can get a replacement."

"No. I'll be fine by tonight, don't worry about it" you reassure him.

"Ok. But if you change your mind, just let me know" Stevie tells you.

"I'll keep that in mind, Boss-man" you smile at him in response.

Later That Evening

Stevie was sitting at the bar, watching Y/N as she performed. His concern for her well being extremely high, she hadn't been the same since his father had left. The spark she once had was gone, there was nothing but sadness in her eyes now.

Stevie knew right from the beginning that his father's idea to go under disguise would somehow backfire and it did, horribly. One thing was for sure, he didn't think that his friend would end up getting hurt by it.

While deep in thought, Stevie suddenly hears loud gasps and shouts coming from across the dance floor. Moving forward to see what the commotion was about, he then realizes that Y/N was no longer singing and the music had also completely stopped.

Finally making it to the centre of the dance floor, Stevie finds two of the waiters crouched over an unconscious Y/N.

Stevie rushes over to her, "Y/N/N?" he tries to wake her up but she doesn't response to him all. "Someone! Call an ambulance quick!" Stevie cries out in a panic.

Later At The Hospital

Slowly you begin to open your eyes, letting out a pain filled groan at the weight you felt in your head. Looking around in confusion at the fact that you were in what looked to be a hospital room.

"Hey, sleepy-head..." you're greeted by a concerned looking Stevie.

"Hmmm..." you softly moan out, slightly still disorientated. "Where am I?"

"You're in the hospital" Stevie explains, "you collapsed during the show."

"What?" you stare at him in confusion, "why?"

"Not sure. The doctor said that he'll be here soon to check up on you again. So, we'll know once he gets here..." Stevie informs you.

A few minutes later, the doctor enters the room. "Ah, Ms Engelbrecht... I see you're finally awake" he politely smiles at you. "We did some blood tests and the results are here with me. If your friend wouldn't mind stepping outside, then I can tell you what we found."

"No" you shake you're head as Stevie gets up to leave, "I want him to stay."

"Very well then" the doctor agrees. "Congratulation, Ms Engelbrecht... you're pregnant..." he smiles at you then.

"What?!" you stare at him in shock, "I'm pregnant?"

The doctor nods at you in confirmation. "I was told years ago, that with my family medical history, my chances of getting pregnant were slim" you respond still in shock, "that I was more or less infertile..."

"Well... I guess you got the less infertile part then" the doctor shrugs in answer.

Oh my god! Stevie silently stares at Y/N in shock. Y/N's pregnant and it's my Dad's!

"Y/N/N's?" Stevie finally speaks up.

"Stevie, you have to promise me that you won't tell your father!" you plead with him in fear.

"But it's his baby too Y/N/N" Stevie frowns at your request, "he deserves to know."

"No, doesn't!" you begin to freak out, "he lied to me and he's married! I can't have it known, that I'm carrying a married man's baby!"

"Y/N/N's... there's something you need to know..." Stevie lets out a tense breath. "My Dad should have told you the minute you found who he really was though."

You stare at Stevie in complete confusion as to what he had to say. "My Dad and step-mother have been divorced for over a year now" Stevie tells you. "It just wasn't made public yet, no one besides family and close friends knows about it."

"What happened?" you look at him in shock. "Did your father have another affair before me?"

"No. He didn't" Stevie shakes his head at your question. "My father is and always has been a faithful man. It was my step-mother, Vera that had the affair."

"What?" you look at him, further in shock.

Dropping his head in shame, Stevie softly whispers, "yeah... she had the affair with me..."

"Oh, no... Stevie..." you look at him at lost for words, "you didn't..."

"Yes, I did" Stevie sighs out in defeat. "I thought I was in love with her. She was only using me to get more attention from Dad though."

"Why?" you ask him, confused at it all.

"Dad was too busy trying to get Ben Diamond out of the Miramar Playa, Vera believed he wasn't giving her everything he promised her. So, she wanted some fun and decided to use me for it" Stevie explains. "Turns out, she was just with Dad for his money and the fame of being Ike Evans' wife."

"She sounds like a horrible person" you remark, disgusted by the woman.

"Once I realized what she really was, I told my Dad everything" Stevie continues on to tell you the story. "Dad confronted her about it and she admitted the truth, thinking he'd forgive her because he loved her. Unfortunately for her, Dad doesn't stand for unfaithfulness."

"I'm sorry for what Vera put you and your Dad through, Stevie" you squeeze his hand in comfort.

"It's ok Y/N/N" Stevie squeezes your hand back with a smile, "Dad and I got over it. It brought us closer in a way even."

You nod your head in satisfaction to his response. "Y/N... you really need to tell Dad about this baby though" Stevie tries to reason with you though.

"Your father lied to me about who he was" you remind Stevie, "but... I will tell him about the baby. I just need some time to heal and think about it all."

"Ok, Y/N/N" Stevie lets out a little sigh of relief. "I won't say anything to him until you're ready to do so. But, I am going to be there for you during this, you and my younger sibling."
