The story begins in Littlest Pet Shop where Blythe Baxter was above the shop sitting in front of her desk with a mirror designing new clothes for her pet friends that she can communicate with while outside was partly cloudy with the sun peaking out slightly she wasn't alone in her room her friend that she had met on her first day of school at Downtown City Junior High along with Sue Patterson and Jasper Jones Youngmee Song niece of Aunt Christie was there as well laying on her bed where she usually sleeps at after a long day of work between spending time working and attending school so as Blythe continued to draw clothes using her creative mind Youngmee thought to herself her hair was in low buns with two pink-violet flowers wearing a green shirt with a heart design on the front and yellow sleeves blue shorts , violet leggings black flats while Blythe was wearing one of her everyday clothes while her hair was down when she looked over at her friends noticing that her eyes continuous looked down at her pink cover and didn't think nothing of it at first until she heard her say to herself down low " i can't do it !" that was when she decided to ask her what was wrong.
Blythe : alright Youngmee what is going on with you ? What is it you can't do ?
Now seeing that she had caught on changes to a sitting position now sitting in a lotus position on the bed where she had looked over at her as she had smiled at her unsure if she should tell her but then takes a deep breath at first she had closed her eyes but soon opened them to reveal her somewhat slanted violet eyes.
Youngmee : ok i will tell you what's bothering me but promise you won't tell Sue or Jasper
Blythe : of course your secret is safe with me
Youngmee : i have been nervous since Downtown Junior High had added the new indoor pool
Blythe : ok so what's wrong with that ?
Youngmee : i have never told anyone this but i cannot swim at all
Blythe : what the huh ?
Youngmee : yes i am afraid of being in water
Blythe : but you're good at making sweet in Sweet Delights
Youngmee : i know
Blythe : what is there to be afraid of ?
Youngmee : i am afraid of being underwater
Blythe : didn't you learn to swim when you were younger ?
Youngmee : i did when but didn't go so well i had ended up crying and my aunt had to pick me up and ever since then i never went anywhere near water ever again
Blythe : i started to learn when i was younger from my dad and it didn't go so bad since well he was standing right beside me which gave me confidence
Youngmee : i had the opposite of that since Aunt Christie didn't even enter the pool that day with me
Blythe : hmm... this is a serious situation
Youngmee : it is and since i have that fear of being underwater i won't be able to swim in the pool at all
Blythe : i'll help you
Youngmee : how are you suppose to do that ?
Blythe : i'll blindfold you so you won't be able to see the water in this spot that i had found when i was skating with Sue last week
Youngmee : i don't see how blindfolding me will help me
Blythe : i'll be holding your hand while we walk to that spot i mentioned
Youngmee : i'm not feeling this idea too much but i'll give it a try
Blythe : don't worry i'll help you get over your fear
Meanwhile Russell with organizing their stuff around the day camp when Pepper had snuck up on him and used her harn forcing the hedgehog to curl up into a ball and jump up quickly while the skunk chuckled as Penny had sighed.
Penny : one of these days i'm going to hide her stuff that she uses for comedy acts
Minka : ooh ooh are you going to hide it in the park ?
Penny : no Minka that's too easy i have a much better spot
Vinnie : maybe i can smooth things out with my dance moves
Zoe : no way Vinnie we're not going to have a repeat of last week when you made all of us dance
Vinnie : at least i had fun
Sunil : i wouldn't call in fun
Russell : can't some one get me down !
Minka : i'm on it
Penny : you sure you can do this ?
Sunil : of course she can
Minka : i got this
Using her agility to leap up and hangs from a fan using her tail and pulls down the hedgehog and leaps down as their friend came down using the dumbwaiter elevator system where she climbed out and was looking around for a blindfold.
Russell : what are you looking for ?
Blythe : a blindfold
Minka : are you planning a surprise ?
Blythe : not exactly Minka i need it for my friend Youngmee since she has something going on which i can't tell you
Vinnie : come on we're your friends here
Blythe : forget it Vinnie i'm not risking my friendship with her or her reputation either
Russell : i have this
Blythe : that's perfect ! thanks Russell
Russell ; you're welcome i just hope that it can help your friend with whatever it is going on
Blythe : i hope so as well
Youngmee was on her phone looking at a blog when the fashion designer returned to her room to show her the blindfold and sweat was pouring down sides of her head plus her forehead with her heart beating just a little bit and was nervous but Blythe placed her hand on her right shoulder erasing her fear.
Blythe : don't worry i'll be by your side no matter what happens
Youngmee : thank you
Blythe : you're welcome i'm willing to help a friend out
Youngmee : so when does this plan of yours start ?
Blythe : um...right now
Youngmee : alright
A few hours later Blythe & Youngmee had took the stairs this time where Mrs Twombly was behind the counter doing her cleaning where she had told her that she was heading out with Youngmee in which she didn't mind then her & her friend had left getting on their scooters also putting on their helmets finally they ride away from Littlest Pet Shop now riding past cars and other vehicles where she had looked at her friend with a unsure look on her face there she began to hope that this idea of hers would help her buld her confidence soon the two had arrived at this spot that had a small bond that was big enough with enough room finally Blythe and Youngmee had got off their scooters and removed their helmets and walked forward going through this gate that wasn't closed from there she handed her the blindfold which Blythe's plan was starting now.
