Chapter I: Kai

I don't exactly know how to explain the situation I'm in right now, so let's just do introductions first. Hi, my name's Kai, I was just a dude with average-enough grades in high school, and I, if you must know what I look like, have fluffy orangeish-blonde hair and greenish-blue eyes. Moving on, long story short, I was transported into the world of videogames, specifically Super Smash Bros.. Ok, ok, I can explain...

So I was in school, spacing out in the middle of class, and suddenly – with immense dramatic effect – a vortex-portal thing appeared out of nowhere. And if that wasn't crazy enough, Sonic the Hedgehog himself came out of the portal. At this point, I thought I was either dreaming, insane, or unknowingly immensely on drugs. But lo and behold, I was not. By the way, for more description on this weird-ass situation, the wind vortex/portal thing blew everything in the class away, similar to an explosion, and everything except for me was frozen in time. Then, Sonic spoke.

"Hey, you!" He said pointing at me, noticing I wasn't affected by the time-freezing. "You're Kai, right?" It took me a few seconds to process this, let alone even respond.

"Y-Yeah. Who's asking?" I responded, attempting to sound cool, but failing. 'Oh god, that didn't sound as good as it did in my head' I thought.

"Well obviously, me. But also some people back at HQ. Anyway, that's besides the point. We need your help." The blue blur replied.

'What?!' I yelled in my head. Obviously, my shock showed, because Sonic took notice of it and responded.

"Look. I know, surprising huh? Me, a world-famous pop culture icon, asking you, some random guy, for help." Sonic pointed out. "But still, we really do need your help. C'mon."

Sonic motioned me to follow him through the portal. I hesitated, but followed him through the portal.

When I went through the portal, it felt like that one scene from Ragnarok when Thor and Loki are escaping through the bifrost, especially since something attacked me throwing into the side of the vortex. It was so fast I couldn't see what it was. Sonic tried to save me, but it was somehow too fast for him. I was crashing into the side of the vortex, sending me into another place in the universe. I passed out as I flew out into the void...
