In an alternate world where the aftermath of the War Games went differently, the Doctor finds himself not exiled to Earth, but an operative of the Celestial Intervention Agency. Between his missions in a job he hates, and Time Lords who are pulling his strings, the Doctor is desperate to escape before he meets someone who will help remind him of who he was.

The story begins with a girl of a mere five years. She's saved from aliens by the Oncoming Saviour... I mean Storm. He pops in and makes sure she's okay through the years, letting her tag along on adventure. (Also published on Wattpad.)

Rose likes to shop, so the Doctor takes her to an alien marketplace. After she wanders off, he goes to look for her and runs into someone unexpected who gives him some much needed hope for the future!

Amelia Pond wasn't the only one to have an imaginary friend. One night, a woman appears in young Rory Williams' bedroom. Years later, after meeting the Doctor, Rory's old friend comes back into play. 'Surely you know this by now, Rory. Just because they were labelled as imaginary doesn't mean they were always fake.'
