FOREWORD
Isekai has been one of those genres that's most definitely a mixed bag for me. Most of the series I enjoy are darker ones like Overlord, The Rising of the Shield Hero, and The Saga of Tanya the Evil. Yet one series proves to be a more lighter romp, despite some dark moments.
I speak of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.
This crossover has been on the cards for some time, as my long-suffering sounding boards Arawn D Draven and Dis Lexic can attest. Then again, part of the problem was finding the right angle. More than a few have had Rimuru be the reincarnation of James Potter. And then, there was my disquiet at Rimuru's actions in Volume 5, though that has been mostly quelled by actually reading the light novel in question.
It took quite a bit of doing, but I think the result is fairly good. More than a bit dark and angsty, but that's Harry's journey for you, with Rimuru, as well as other characters, helping Harry learn to love his magic and himself again.
Anyway, time for the usual disclaimers. Firstly, there will be spoilers for both That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and the Potterverse.
Secondly, there will be annotations, heavy annotations, and bellyachers will be treated with all due contempt.
Thirdly, for language, violence, horror and sexual references, this is an M-rated work.
