Hermione knocked on her parents door. "Mum, dad, are you ready?" She asked.

"You can come on in." Jean called. Hermione opened the door to find Jean fixing Daniel's tie.

"Wow mom, you look beautiful." Jean smiled at Hermione and looked down at her deep blue strapless dress. "You look great too, dad." Hermione said, admiring his matching suit.

"Thank you," Daniel looked at her and raised an eyebrow. "Is that okay to wear?" Hermione looked down, she was wearing a strapless black dress that had a red ribbon design that tied at her chest and the dress stopped mid - thigh.

"Daphne sent it to me and told me to wear it." Hermione told her father. "If she says it's appropriate I am going to go with it."

"You look beautiful," Jean said, kissing Hermione's cheek. "Now come on, we have a party to get to." The family left the house and pulled up in front of a giant mansion. "Goodness."

"Daphne did say they have a library similar to the one from Beauty and the Beast." Hermione said. Daniel scoffed as the door opened and Narcissa stood before them.

"Welcome to our home." She said, ushering the family in.

"Thank you." The Grangers all said in unison.

"Hermione, Draco is waiting for you down that hall." Hermione thanked the woman before walking away.

Draco leaned against the wall, playing on a handheld gaming device. "Is that what I think it is?" Hermione asked. Draco blushed as he put the device down.

"Tonks got it for me for Christmas." Draco told her as he pulled Hermione into his arms. "So I can remember my days in the muggle world. Granted," He leaned down. "I just need you in my bed to remember that." He whispered into her ear. Hermione blushed as Draco kissed her, moving his hands down to her butt, pulling her closer. Draco blinked as he squeezed her but then looked at her, Hermione making a fake guilty expression. "My love, where is your underwear?" Hermione bit her lip.

"This dress fits close to my body, I would've had panty lines, and I wanted to make sure I look my best so…" She trailed off as Draco groaned.

"You are going to be the death of me." He told her, pulling her in for a deep kiss. Hermione chuckled. "But for now," Draco said, pulling away with a sigh. "I have something to show you." He took her hand and led her through the mansion stopping at a set of double doors. Draco pulled out a scarf and tied it around Hermione's eyes. "Trust me." He whispered against her cheek before leading her into the room, removing it and watching her expression of awe grow. "Welcome to the Malfoy Manor Library. Was Daphne lying?" Hermione shook her head as she walked around, brushing her hand along all the old books. A house elf appeared before Draco, they spoke a few soft words then it disappeared. "Our presence is requested." Hermione sighed as she handed Draco her hand and they made their way to the ballroom.

Hermione stood in a receiving line with the Malfoys beside Draco. "Am I going to have to throw parties?" She asked him in a hush tone.

"Do not worry, Daphne and Pansy were taught how to be hostesses since they could walk. And I am sure my mother will gladly show you the ins and outs of being a hostess." Hermione smiled as Narcissa introduced her to Posy and Patrick Parkinson. "So you are the mud-muggle born that Pansy befriended." Posy said. Hermione smiled at the room, ignoring the slip.

"Yes ma'am, Pansy is one of my dearest friends." Hermione told the woman. Posy smiled as she and Patrick walked away. "Bitch." Hermione muttered under her breath, earning a chuckle from Pansy who stood in front of her. "Sorry, she almost called me a mudblood." Hermione told her friend hugging the girl.

"I know, I heard, I half expected you to curse her." Pansy walked away to join her parents.

"How much more of this?" Hermione asked Draco.

"Until all the families my family deem good enough to spend time with has come." The couple greeted George, Emily, and Gregory Goyle before Draco tensed.

"What's wrong?" Hermione asked before tensing as well. Next in line were the Weasleys, starting with Arthur and Molly, followed by Bill, his fiancé Fleur, Charlie, Percy, the twins, and then Ron and Ginny. The latter was shifting uncomfortably. "I'm so sorry." Ginny mouthed at Hermione when their eyes met.

"I'm sorry Hermione." Arthur told the girl when he and Molly reached her. "There was no one willing to stay with him and we can't leave him unattended." Molly hugged the girl.

"But all of his brothers have agreed to keep an eye on him." Hermione forced a smile while Draco just glared at the youngest red headed boy.

"Don't worry Hermione." Bill told her. "We are all keeping an eye on him and won't let him out of our sight." Hermione thanked the boys before turning to Draco.

"I'm not feeling well." Hermione told him.

"Dobby." Draco called. A house elf appeared beside him. "Miss Granger is not feeling well, will you take her to my room for a quick lie down." Draco turned to Hermione. "I'll send the girls as they come." Hermione nodded, she made her apologizes to Lucius and Narcissa, who were both glaring at the Weasley boy, before she followed Dobby out of the room.

Hermione sat on Draco's bed taking deep breaths when there was a knock on the door. "Hermione?" Pansy said. "It is me and Ginny, can we come in?"

"Yes." Hermione called. The door opened and Ginny looked around the room.

"Well, I guess there's no question about which house he's in." Ginny said, causing Hermione to chuckle.

"Green is his favorite color." Hermione explained, moving to lay backwards. "It has little to do with his house. His room at Tonks was similar."

"How are you feeling?" Ginny asked, sitting beside her. Hermione shook her head.

"Why is he here?" Pansy asked.

"Mum tried everyone, and I mean everyone. But either they already agreed to come or they wanted nothing to do with him." Ginny explained. "I'm pretty sure she even asked our squid cousin." The door opened to reveal Daphne and Luna, on Daphne's arm was a dress.

"When I saw Weasley I sent for a dress here." Daphne handed the dress to Hermione.

"Thank you." Hermione said, taking the dress and walking into Draco's en - suite.

"I can't believe they allowed him to come." Daphne said, sitting on Pansy's lap.

"There was no other way," Hermione called out of the bathroom. "No one could, or would, watch him."

"Princess?" Draco asked as he walked into the room.

"Changing." The four girls said. Hermione stepped out wearing a satin green sheath dress.

"Will one of you help?" Hermione asked, turning to show her open back and the strings. Daphne got up and crossed them down her back and tied it.

"Are you okay?" Draco asked going up to her.

"Don't leave my side." Hermione said, as Draco cupped her face in his hands.

"Never." He gave her a quick peck. "Come on, as long as the annoyed families of our friends are here I am sure he will not be within fifty feet of you." Hermione chuckled as the group made their way back to the ballroom.

"Princess," Draco whispered in her ear as they danced. "You need to relax, no one is going to let him near you. Theo, Blaise, Neville, and Harry have all agreed to dance with you if I need to go anywhere. And you know Luna, Daphne, Ginny, and Pansy will stop him with any means necessary."

"I know, but I swear I can feel him everywhere I go." Hermione said.

"I promise," Draco said. "I will not let anything happen." Just then Lucius cleared his throat.

"May I cut in?" He asked. The couple shared a look before Draco bowed away, asking Jean for a dance. "How are you holding up my dear?" Lucius asked.

"The man who stalked me and harassed me is in the same room as me for the first time in almost a year." Hermione said. "I am trying not to run away."

"That Gryffindor courage." Lucius chuckled. "Just so you know, because the Malfoys is an important family and the incident involved the girlfriend of one, all of mine and Cissa's friends know of what happened. So it is not only your friends and family keeping an eye out."

"Thank you." Hermione told him.

"Of course, I have a sneaky suspicion that you will be my daughter - in - law soon, and Malfoys take care of our own." Hermione smiled at the older man. "I am sorry for the way Cissa and I behaved."

"At least you are trying, unlike Mrs. Parkinson."

"Oh, that during the receiving line was on purpose." Lucius said. "I have a feeling that once she fully understands that Pansy and Daphne are dating and will probably be together until one of them dies, that Pansy will be blasted off of their family tree." Hermione looked at him in shock.

"I am not blind Miss Granger." Lucius said. "I noticed, just like I noticed that they are dancing with Neville and Theo to keep up all four of their appearances."

"You are a mystery Mister Malfoy."

"I am a Slytherin dear girl," Lucius smirked as he led them to Draco and Jean. "Mrs. Granger, may I have this dance? It would seem we need to get to know each other." Jean smiled as she accepted Lucius' hand and Hermione returned to Draco's arms.

"I have to use the restroom." Hermione said, looking for her friends, who were all dancing. "But everyone is busy." Hermione bit her lip.

"Why do you not interrupt one of them? They will understand." Hermione shook her head.

"I don't want to do that." Hermione said. "They shouldn't have to be on guard duty all the time and ruin their fun." She glanced at Ron who sat between the twins looking miserable. "Will you keep an eye on him?"

"Of course." Draco said, kissing her before she walked away.

Hermione leaned on a sink, taking deep breaths. She stood up straight and turned with a smile starting as the door opened and froze. Ron stood in front of her smirking. "Finally." Ron said, stepping towards her. "I have been waiting to get you alone for a while now." Ron took a strand of her hair that fell out of her bun and twirled it around his finger. Hermione tried to go for a punch but Ron caught her arm, and then the other. He shook his head as he pushed her against the wall, using his height and weight to keep her frozen. "Did you really think that would work?" Hermione gulped, writing off the sound of the door closing as part of her imagination. "You are mine." Ron growled. "And you are going to pay for what happened at Hogwarts and at the Ministry." He kissed her, ignoring the tears coming down her face, and reached to untie the strings of her dress.

"Get the fuck off my girlfriend." Draco said, his wand out. His father, Severus Snape, James Potter, Arthur Weasley, Richard Greengrass, and Frank Longbottom stood in the bathroom, each with their own wand out. Ron sighed as he pulled away and smirked at the group.

"Wow, all this for little old me." He said, pinning Hermione to the wall again as she tried to move. "Now, now," He said looking at her. "You know you can't go anywhere." Hermione cried. When Ron turned back to look at the guys Draco punched him in the face, knocking him over. Hermione practically jumped into his waiting arms. "Sh, it's okay Princess." He told her as he led her out of the bathroom.

Hermione sat curled up beside Draco, now in his Quidditch sweatshirt and one of his sweatpants. They sat in the library, listening as the ballroom emptied. "Are you okay?" Daphne asked, coming in to the room.

"We need to find a hiding place for my wand." Hermione replied. "I could have handled him if I had my wand." Her parents walked into the room.

"Do you want to come home with us or do you want to stay with Draco?" Jean asked.

"Can I stay here?"

"Of course, let us know if you need anything." Jean said, caressing her daughter's cheek.

"I'm sorry I couldn't do anything." Daniel apologized to his daughter.

"You did fine daddy." Hermione said, getting up and hugging her father. "It's not your fault you have been thrown into a world you are not part of." Daniel smiled at her before looking at Draco.

"Take care of our daughter." He told the young man.

"Of course." Draco nodded as the Grangers left.

"Well, I should be getting home." Daphne said as the library door opened as Tonks and the Longbottoms walked in.

"How are you?" Tonks asked.

"How did he get away? We had so many people watching him." Hermione asked in response.

"Sadly," Alice said, taking Daphne's spot. "That might be how. Sometimes if you have too many eyes it is easier to miss things."

"But he is in Azkaban, and we will talk to the Minister about another trial in the morning." Frank said.

"Thank you." Hermione told the couple and Tonks before looking at Draco. "I'm tired." They bid their goodnights to their friends and the Malfoys before walking to Draco's room.
