Hermione, Draco, their friends and the Malfoys sat waiting for the trail. Draco held Hermione's hand as she jiggled her leg. "It's going to be okay." He whispered in her ear. "Father says he made sure Weasley will not be bothering you." Hermione nodded as she bit her lip, eyes trained on the door where Ron would come through. Eventually Ron came in and the trail started. Hermione tried to keep her breathing even, half listening to everyone talking. She felt something be pressed into her hand and looked up, Lucius just smirked as Hermione took a sip of the Draught of Peace. After half second the potion worked and Hermione could focus. "I do not see," Dumbledore was telling the jury. "Why a young man who had been removed from public interaction should be put away for his life."

"Is Dumbledore really trying to defend him?" Hermione whispered.

"Yes," Lucius sneered. "Let us just say we do not like him in this household."

"What would you suggest then Dumbledore?" One of the people said.

"I suggest a few years. Just long enough for him to come to terms with the wrong he has done, but not long enough to prevent him from having a normal life afterwards." Hermione just watched in shock as members nodded in understanding. They were dismissed for a break while they conversed. "Are they really going to go along with it?" Hermione asked.

"It'll be fine." Ginny said. "I doubt any parent would go along with that." The court regrouped and Hermione and Draco listened to the verdict, squeezing each other's hands.

"Ronald Billius Weasley has been sentenced to ten years in Azkaban." The speaker said. "He will be sent there immediately and will be approached in ten years time." The court dismissed.

After a few days of annoyance and stress Hermione and her family went to France, away from the drama of her trial in the UK. Draco smiled as they asked him to come, so he and Hermione explored France and enjoyed a summer basically just the two of them. After two weeks they returned to the UK and Hermione split her time between her house, Draco's, and Daphne's. She would spend a few days at home, doing her homework and enjoying her parents company; then she would stay with the Malfoys for a few days, exploring their library and reading while curled up with Draco; the cycle would end with the Greengrasses where she and her friends would lay out at the pool, tanning and enjoying the quietness. That was where she was when the Hogwarts letters finally arrived.

Hermione, Daphne, Pansy, Ginny, and Luna laid beside Daphne's pool. "I've missed this." Hermione said, earning chuckles from the other girls. "What did you do for summer so far?"

"I've been helping mum prepare for Fleur and Bill's wedding." Ginny said.

"Did we really all get invites?" Daphne asked.

"Yeah," Ginny said. "She says since you are all good friends of mine and were nice to her at the Malfoys party you can all come."

"Can we bring dates?" Luna asked.

"You don't need to, the boys are coming too." Ginny said.

"Girls!" Elizabeth called. "The owls are here!" The five girls got up and made their way to the living room where Elizabeth and Astoria stood with five envelopes. "Ginny, Luna," She said, handing each girl their letter. "Daphne, Astoria, Pansy, and Hermione." They all opened their letters and were reading as Hermione squealed.

"I made Head Girl!" Hermione said as the other girls hugged her.

"I'm not surprised." Pansy said. "If anyone was going to be Head Girl it would be you."

"Hermione!" Draco called as he entered the house. Hermione ran to Draco and jumped into his arms.

"I made Head Girl!" She practically yelled.

"That's perfect, I made Head Boy." Draco said, kissing her.

"Those two are so cute it is sick." Astoria said, shaking her head and walking to her room.

"Astoria," Elizabeth called. "Decide what you want for dinner, we need to celebrate you making Prefect!"

"Congrats Astoria!" The group of friends called to the young witch.

"We will celebrate for you two tomorrow." Elizabeth told Hermione and Draco.

"Thank you Elizabeth." Hermione said as she and Draco apparated out of the house.

The day of Bill and Fleur's wedding Hermione apparated to the Burrow and was greeted by Ginny. "Welcome, it's nice to have you here again." They stepped into the kitchen where Molly was cooking.

"Ah Hermione, will you help me?" Hermione smiled as went and helped Molly chop up vegetables. "How are you?"

"Good, I made Head Girl." Hermione told the woman. "How have you been?"

"Stressed, between the wedding and dealing with Ron…" The older witch went silent.

"I'm sorry, all of this must have been hard on you."

"Well, he made his own choices. Ginny, come help me make sure your brothers are putting the chairs where they need to go, finish chopping these and add them to the salad." Molly said, leading Ginny out of the room. Hermione sat in silence, chopping the cucumbers when arms wrapped around her. She froze for a second before relaxing, Draco's cologne engulfing her. "You look amazing." He said, kissing her cheek.

"Thank you, make yourself useful and help." Hermione said, handing him a knife. They chopped the vegetables in unison, years of potion practice.

"Dumbledore wants us to come to the castle the last week of August," Draco told her. "That way we can get comfortable in our new dorm and get started on patrol schedules."

"I still can't believe that bastard." Hermione growled, then yelped as she accidentally cut a bit of her finger. She pulled her wand out of her bun and cast a quick spell.

"Do not let your anger with him influence what you are doing." Draco said, kissing her now healed cut. "I do not want to have to be worrying about you getting hurt." Hermione kissed him.

"Sorry, I just don't see how he could defend Ron." Draco held her in his arms, rubbing her back.

"I know, but enjoy this day." Hermione nodded as she took a deep breath. "I love you Princess."

"I love you too." Hermione said, kissing him. "Now let's return to this before Molly comes in and gets mad that we stopped." Draco chuckled as he turned back to his side of the vegetables.

After the ceremony Hermione and Draco danced together, their friends dancing with their significant others. "Promise me," Hermione said. "When we get married it won't be this fancy."

"No can do." Draco said. "My mother already has ideas about our wedding day."

"And you haven't even proposed yet." Hermione said. Draco chuckled.

"I told you I have plans for that." Hermione just nodded sketpcially. The couple laughed as Fleur and Bill approached them.

"Congratulations." Hermione told the two as she hugged them.

"Thank you," Fleur said with a thick French accent.

"Hope you enjoy yourselves." Bill said as they moved on to the next couple, Ginny and Harry.

"What exactly does your mum have planned?" Hermione asked. Draco thought for a second.

"If I remember correctly, just about everyone in our year being bridesmaid and groomsmen, regardless if we talk to them. Every member of the Sacred Twenty - Eight coming, as well as every muggleborn they can find that they snided."

"Ugh, I am getting a headache." Hermione sighed. "Can't it just be us, our friends, our parents and theirs?"

"Sorry my love, you know how important my family is to the Wizarding World, I wouldn't be surprised if Quidditch players came." Draco chuckled at Hermione's groan.

"Hermione?" Krum asked, approaching the two.

"Viktor," Hermione said, hugging him. "How have you been?"

"Good, I didn't want to write to you with me coming to the wedding." Krum shook Draco's hand. "NIce to see you again, Malfoy."

"Krum." Draco smiled. "How is Quidditch coming?"

"Good, how is yours?"

"Draco is captain of the Slytherin team and we are now Head Boy and Girl." Hermione told Krum.

"Congratulations." Krum said his goodbyes and moved on.

"I can't believe you still write to him." Draco sighed.

"Of course I do, he is a friend." Hermione kissed him.

Hermione and Draco apparated to Hogsmeade and walked up to Hogwarts castle where they were greeted by McGonagall, Snape, and Dumbledore. "Congratulations." McGonagall said, hugging them.

"Hello Miss Granger, Mister Malfoy." Dumbledore said. "If you follow me I will lead you to the Heads Dorm." The group walked through the castle. "I trust you will be a great Head Boy and Girl."

"We will try." Hermione said, a forced smile on her face and a squeeze from Draco's hand.

"I will need a schedule for patrols every week, if you want to do it by month that would be great too." Dumbledore explained. "Any events you want to host are up to you, just run them by me."

"Events?" Draco asked.

"A yule ball, a Halloween ball, etc." McGonagall said.

"We could have been having balls?" Draco asked.

"Yes, but most Heads find planning the events and the patrolling schedules as well as N.E.W.T. classes are too much." Severus said. "As well as any activities one does for their next step." They paused at a portrait of the four house mascots.

"Here we are," Dumbledore said. "We will let you get comfortable then will make plans at dinner. You just have to say 'unity'." The portrait swung open. "Have a good day." Hermione and Draco walked into the room and their eyes widened.

They stood in a living room area with a brown pleather couch and loveseat, and a kitchen was on the other side of the room. There was a door beside the kitchen, two doors on each side of the room. They opened the first door to their right to find a study room, it had two desks and a shelf of books. The next room was Hermione's, it had Gryffindor stuff all around and multiple bookshelves. That room had a door that led into the giant bathroom, a swimming pool sized tub and two sinks as well as a door to the kitchen and living room and a door to Draco's room that was covered in Slytherin stuff. They walked back into the kitchen to open the last door and Hermione squealed. The door opened to the school library and was designed to look like a bookcase. "This is amazing." Hermione said as she and Draco went and sat on the couch. "Now the question is, which bed are we going to sleep in?" Draco asked, pulling her to sit against him.

"Hm…Yours, I'm use to sleeping in a Slytherin themed room, I doubt you will enjoy sleeping in a Gryffindor themed room."

"I'll just be happy to sleep with you Princess." Draco said, kissing her before getting an evil grin. "We are free till dinner."

"Yes…" Hermione said hesitantly.

"I have an idea." Draco said, pulling her up and kissing her.
