It was a calm Monday morning as the sun rised over Elmore and the Wattersons were all in the kitchen eating their breakfast. Well, nearly all of them.

"Where's Gumball? He should be up by now!" Nicole asked.

"In the shower." replied Darwin nonchalantly.

"Well he'd better hurry up, the bus will here any moment."

Anais would sigh and get up. "I'll go get him.."

"Thank you sweetie."

She's go up stairs to the bathroom.

She'd pause as she heard Gumball singing poorly and couldn't help but giggle.

She'd knock on the door holding back laughter. "Hey, I know you're in the middle of a concert but you should hurry up in there, the bus is gonna be here anytime now!"

She smirked. "Besides, I'm pretty sure most of the audience has already left with singing like that!"

She burst out laughing.

"HEY! My singing's not that bad!" She heard a muffled voice reply.

"Yeah it is! I've heard dogs that can sing better than you!"

He'd scoff. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. I'm done anyway."

He'd come out with a towel around his waist. "There, I'm out. Happy now?" He said snarkily.

Her ears lowered slightly. "Aww, hey, I didn't mean to upset you. I was only teasing you."

"Whatever." He crossed his arms and looked away.

She looked down feeling guilty for upsetting him.

He suddenely turned back, broke into a smile and chuckled. "Aww, I'm only messing with you! I know you were just joking."

She let out a sigh of relief. "Oh phew. I thought I'd genuinely upset you."

"Pfft, takes a lot more than insulting my singing to upset me."

She giggled. "You call that singing? Sounded more like a dying chimpmunk to me!"

"Oi, cheeky! Don't push it!"

He ruffled the fur on her head causing her to giggle again.

"Right, I'd better go get dressed, you go get your stuff."

'Alright."

She went downstairs as he went to their room

Despite it being a Monday he was in a surprisingly good mood. He only hoped it lasted.

He began getting dressed when he heard Darwin yell. "Gumball, quick, the bus is here!"

He hurriedly hopped out of his room, his sweater half on and only one leg in his trousers.

He ran to the stairs but tripped and fell down them, landing at the door.

"Oww..."

He got up and saw the bus doors close.

"No, wait!"

He ran out as he pulled his pants up and got his sweater on.

"WAIT!"

It was already too late though as the bus began to drive away.

He saw Darwin and Anais at the back who looked at him apologetically and shrugged as it drove away.

"Great...guess I'll have to walk. Well, it's nice out at least.."

He said goodbyes to his mom before he began to walk by himself. As he did the sky began to darken slowly and when he had gotten about half way there it began to rain.

"Oh come on!"

He trudged through the rain as he got soaked.

"Great, gonna have to sit in wet clothes for most of the day, just great."

He sighed. "Oh well, they'll dry in a couple hours I suppose. Just got deal with it until then."

A while later he arrived at school, completely drenched.

He paused before he went in. He'd already missed the bus and gotten drenched in the rain. He could tell it was gonna be a long day.

He sighed and went inside.
