Hello everyone. Spider-Izuku here, with a story that is surprisingly NOT a My Hero Academia crossover. Don't worry, I'll be sure to work on those soon.

If you're wondering why it is I haven't been working on them, it's because sadly I'm going through equal parts depression/writer's block/real life being an absolute motherf#%^er! But I've had some time and I've recently got back into one of my favorite franchises: POKEMON!

From the games to the anime I have always been a big fan of the franchise. And growing up my favorite cartoon/anime was always Pokemon: The Series. While I haven't watched EVERY episode, it is still one of my all-time favorite shows.

Even if not every generation of the anime has been... stellar.

And nowhere is there a generation of the anime that has been less than stellar... than the Best Wishes/Black and White generation.

A generation that, if not universally hated, is seen as the absolute bottom of the Pokemon Anime barrel.

And sadly seemed to begin the trend of adapting less and less of the plot from the games, especially from the villain teams.

Well, let's fix that!

This is the first story in the Pokemon The Series: RE-Verse. Welcome, to Pokemon The Series: RE-Black and White!

Author's Note: Ash is in his canon Black and White outfit in this.

Episode 1: A Brand New Day

"Okay, just gotta adjust the camera a little... and... Bingo!"

The blur on the camera disappeared and revealed a young girl with deep blue eyes and bushy dark brown hair, set in a pony tail that trailed behind her, with two long bangs framing her face. She was wearing a black vest over a sleeveless white t-shirt, blue jean shorts and black shoes with pink laces and soles. She also wore a white and pink hat with a pink Poke Ball logo on the front of it, her ponytail pulled through the hole in the back.

Sitting down in front of the camera, she cleared her throat and said "Okay. Let's do this.

'Hello everyone, my name is Hilda White. I just turned 15 years old, and for the moment I live in Nuvema Town in the Unova Region. And this, is my Pokemon Trainer Pledge Video."

She took a deep breath and said "Ever since my mom first took me to a movie theater when I was a little girl, I've loved movies. At first I wanted to be an actress, but after I was assistant director in our eighth grade school play, I realized that my true passion was for directing. I want to be a director, get a team of Pokemon to be my acting troupe, make a movie that wins this year's Unova Film Festival in Undella Town, and get my own studio at Pokestar Studios."

She smiled and finished with "My name is Hilda White, and I hereby pledge to be a Pokemon Filmmaker."

Checking the video one last time and making sure there was nothing to edit out or fix, she hit UPLOAD and the video started downloading onto Pokevision. She smiled once it read that the upload was complete. "Okay, that's done," she said.

"HILDA! BREAKFAST IS READY," a voice yelled from downstairs.

"Coming Mom!"

She shut down her laptop before closing it and sliding it into her bag, before heading for the stairs.

Before she walked downstairs though, she took one last look at her room. "I'm honestly gonna miss this place," she muttered, before heading downstairs.

Only to come back up a second later and grabbed something off of her nightstand.

Once she got downstairs she saw her mother, Terra White, setting down a plate of pancakes on the table. Seeing her daughter sit down at the table, she smiled and said "Good morning, sweetie."

Hilda rolled her eyes, but smiled and replied "Morning, mom" before sitting down to eat her breakfast.

Her mom sat across from her and asked "So, you ready for your big day?"

She nodded. "Yep."

"You thought about what starter you're going to pick?"

"Yeah, but I'm not telling you that just yet." She grinned and continued "I wanna surprise you when you meet the newest member of our family."

"Fine, be that way. Just eat your pancakes before they get cold." Seeing her daughter sticking her tongue out at her, she just rolled her eyes. "By the way, you have any idea what you're going to do for your movie for the Film Festival?"

Hilda paused, swallowed what was in her mouth, and then shook her head. "Not yet."

"What happened to making that superhero movie?"

"Everyone's trying to make some sort of superhero movie, mom. And frankly, between the MCU, DC's own attempts, and all the other attempts by other studios, I think most people are tired of superhero movies. I want something that'll stand out from the rest-"

"-rather than just be part of the crowd," Terra finished. "So, any ideas?"

"I'm hoping this journey will give me the inspiration I'm looking for before the festival. And I'll hopefully get some Pokemon that can either act in it or act as my crew."

Terra giggled. "Just don't forget to come home every once in a while and visit your mother after you become famous."

She smirked and replied "My who now?" Seeing her mother glare she joked and quickly said "I'm kidding! I'm kidding! You know I'll visit you every chance I can get."

"You'd better."

"And I'll be sure to mail you tickets for the big premiere of my first major film."

"You'd better."

Getting the slyest of sly grins, she said "And I'll be sure to invite you to me and Hilbert's wedding."

The result was immediate as Terra, who was taking a drink of her tea, immediately did a spit-take and sputtered "W-WHAT?!"

Hilda was busy laughing like a madwoman. Catching her breath she grinned and said "Gotcha."

Terra grumbled "Don't joke about that, Hilda. You're too young for that."

"I know, mom."

About an hour later, Hilda walked through the door with her mother in tow. "Well, I guess this is it," Hilda stated.

Terra nodded. "You sure you got everything," she asked.

"Yes mom." She lifted up and opened her bag up, sifting through the contents. "I got my clothes, my camera, my laptop, spare batteries for my camera-"

"Did you grab your-"

"Yes, I grabbed them, mom. Relax."

Satisfied, she pulled her daughter into a hug. "I'm just making sure. Be sure you-"

"Take them every morning after I wake up. I know, mom. I've been dealing with my messed up ticker since I was ten."

Terra sighed. "I know. I just worry about you."

Pulling her into a hug, Hilda replied "I get it, mom. But I'll be fine. Promise."

"That doesn't stop a mother from worrying, sweetie. But I trust you." Breaking the hug, Terra smiled and said "Have fun out there."

"I will, mom," she said as she took off running, but not before she called back "Love you!"

Terra watched her daughter running up the hill and yelled "Good luck! And best wishes!"

Hilda smiled and yelled back "Thanks mom!"

And with a flock of Pidove flying in the sky above her, off she went, taking the first steps on her grand journey.

Ash smiled as he walked out of the small airport. He looked over on his shoulder, seeing his buddy and first Pokemon Pikachu perched there like always, smiling as well. "Well buddy," Ash said "ready to take on Unova?"

The Electric Mouse Pokemon happily exclaimed "Pika pi!"

"Good to see you two still have that boundless energy."

They both looked forward, seeing Professor Oak standing next to a car and attempting to put his luggage into the trunk. Ash rushed over to help him and replied "Well, I've been through four official leagues, one minor league that doesn't count, and the Kanto Battle Frontier. All of that in four years." Smiling at Pikachu, he added "Hopefully the fifth time's the charge, right buddy?"

"Pi pika kachu," Pikachu replied while nodding.

"Well, you'll want to get your new Pokedex before you head off. SO..." Professor Oak said, getting into the driver's seat of the car. "...you may want to get in."

Ash nodded, about to slide into the shotgun seat, when he noticed a girl in a white and pink hat walking down the road, looking at something on her map with a frustrated look on her face. "Yeah, hold that thought for a minute, professor."

Hilda was about ready to throw her phone into the sky, praying it would smash right into the moon. This was the third time she tried checking her GPS, and all it did was give her a new route that brought her near the airport, which she knew for a fact was nowhere near the Lab. Pushing down her frustration, she said "Find me a route to Professor Juniper's Pokemon Lab."

Her phone beeped before replying "Error. Unable to process request."

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? IT'S LITERALLY THE ONLY THING OF NOTE IN THIS TOWN BESIDES THE AIRPORT YOU STUPID-"

"Hey!"

Hilda turned to see a boy around her age with a yellow Pokemon, she realized it was a Pikachu, on his shoulder. He smiled and asked "You lost?"

She took a deep breath and sighed. "Yeah. Tried using my GPS to find the fastest way to Professor Juniper's Lab. But my wonderful and outdated phone seems to want to take me anywhere BUT where I want to go." She glared at her phone and growled "5G all over, my ass."

"Yeah, I hear ya," Ash replied. "Well, we're heading to Professor Juniper's lab too. You want a ride?"

Hilda looked at him in surprise. "Really?"

"Yeah."

Weighing her options, she eventually decided to take him up on his offer. "My name's Hilda," she said, holding out her hand.

Shaking her hand, he replied "I'm Ash Ketchum. And this is my buddy, Pikachu."

Pikachu smiled and waved to Hilda. "Pikachu!"

Hilda smiled. "Nice to meet you, Ash." She then booped Pikachu on his nose and added "And you too, Pikachu. Aren't you a cutie?"

"Chu."

A few minutes later the car was moving down the road toward Professor Juniper's lab, Hilda in the backseat while Ash took shotgun. "Thanks again for the ride," she said.

Professor Oak smiled. "It's no trouble, Hilda. Helping young aspiring Trainers is part of the Pokemon Professor job description."

Seeing Hilda's confused face, Ash explained "Professor Oak is the Pokemon Professor from back home in the Kanto Region."

"Really? How come you're here in Unova?"

"Professor Juniper called me a week ago and asked to see some of my research for comparison. That and she needs some help updating the newest model of the Pokedex. Something about not having all the data on Pokemon from Kanto and Johto."

Hilda was about to ask another question when suddenly there was a flash of light and a massive BOOOOM! that shook the car. "What the heck!"

Looking out the windows, they were surprised to see the sky that had once been a clear sapphire blue was now covered in jet black clouds, occasionally cracking with the most vibrant blue lightning they had ever seen, and yet strangely there was no rain to be seen. "Strange," Professor Oak noted. "The sky was clear just a moment ago."

"This normally happen around here," Ash asked. "Weird storms out of nowhere."

Hilda shook her head. "No. Forecast wasn't calling for-"

She was cut off by another massive clap of thunder, but then out the window she saw the bolt of lightning strike a tree, which began to tip over before falling onto the ground with a massive CRASH!

Ash winced as he saw that. "Yeesh. Never seen lightning that intense befo- Is that a Pokemon?"

Seeing where Ash was pointing Hilda looked and saw a small fawn-like Pokemon, its upper body being tree bark brown while its under body was the same peach color as its face.

And as she looked, she noticed that one of the limbs (more of a log, really) of the tree had broken off and fallen on its back, pinning it to the ground. "Uh oh. That Deerling's trapped!"

"Calm down," Professor Oak said calmly. "Let's just wait a few minutes for this storm to stop and we'll go help it."

There was another crack of thunder, and they saw another tree fall over, narrowly missing the small Season Pokemon.

Ash shook his head, unbuckling his seatbelt. "I don't think it has a few minutes."

Before anyone could say anything else, he was already outside of the car and running over to the trapped Pokemon, Pikachu in tow. Professor Oak said "One of these days I swear that boy is going to give me a cor-"

It was at that moment he noticed that Hilda had also vacated the car and was running to help Ash.

And Samuel Oak simply slumped forward and let his forehead rest on the steering wheel. "Kids today."

Outside, Ash grabbed a hold of the fallen log. Looking down at the Deerling he said "Don't worry, little guy. We'll get you out of here in a minute."

Pikachu looked around, noticing the sky lighting up and several small bolts of lightning shooting down. Fortunately none of them had hit the other trees yet, but it did nothing to help his anxiety. "Pika pika," he said worriedly.

"Yeah, I know buddy." Ash tried to lift up, but the log was a lot heavier than it looked. "Yeesh, this thing's heavy."

"Hold on! I'll help!"

Hilda arrived and grabbed hold of the log, and together they tried to lift, but they only managed to lift it up about an inch off the Deerling before they had to set it back down. "ARGH! THIS ISN'T WORKING," Hilda yelled over another thunderclap.

"I'm open to ideas," Ash said, looking around. "We just need something to help lift this thing up."

Hilda also looked around, before finding and grabbing a thick branch and jamming it under the log. Ash and her shared a look, and he resumed his hold on the log. "On three. One..."

"...two..." Hilda counted, bracing herself.

"THREE!"

In unison, Hilda pulled up on her branch while Ash pulled up on the log, this time finally lifting the log up enough that the Deerling was able to crawl out before running away to safety. "Alright, she's safe," Hilda said, about ready to keel over from exhaustion. "Now let's get out of here before-"

Whatever she was about to say was cut off when a massive bolt of cobalt blue lightning came crashing down from the heavens, landing right in front of them, followed by a thunderclap so loud that it seemed to shake the very heavens asunder. The impact sent everyone flying back and Hilda felt her head bash against a tree.

She then felt herself fall, everything going black before she hit the ground.

"-ilda. Hilda. HILDA!"

Her eyes snapped open and she immediately sat up, only to painfully slam into her forehead into Ash's face. "OW!"

Seeing Ash holding his hands over his nose, she said "Oh man, I am so sorry. Are you okay?"

"I'll live," he grumbled. He then smiled and said "Glad to see you're okay. I saw you hit your head and then-"

"It'll take a lot more than a left hook from a tree to put me down," she said confidently. "What about you?"

Ash chuckled as he stood up and extended his hand to her. "Believe me, I've been through worse."

Strangely enough, she believed him. She then looked up at the sky and asked "What happened to the storm?"

He shrugged. "The last thing I remember was that mega-bolt of lightning sending us flying, hitting my head against a rock, and then I'm KO'd." Looking down at Pikachu he asked "What about you, buddy?"

Pikachu just mimicked his trainer. "Pi ka chu."

Ash sweatdropped. "Of course."

Hilda looked around, seeing a few more trees had fallen down while they were unconscious, some of them coming close but thankfully not falling on them. "Yeesh. Lucky break. Really have to wonder if-"

"Whoa! Check this out!"

Turning around, she saw a large crater about two feet deep where the lightning bolt had struck. Must've been a really powerful bolt to do all this. Still-

Her train of thought came to a halt when she saw Ash down in the crater, poking something with a stick. "Hmm," he said, apparently lost in thought. "It doesn't look like it's hot." He placed his gloved hand on it, and added "Yeah, this thing's cool. Almost cold."

"Uh, what are you doing?"

Ash looked up at her, before picking up what he was messing with and showing it to her. "I found this."

The thing Ash was referring to was a large round stone, roughly the size of a baseball but colored the gray-black of storm clouds. It was almost perfectly round, save for three grooves evenly spaced out. And maybe it was a trick of the light, but she could've sworn it glowed an electric blue when Ash touched it.

Climbing out of the crater, Ash asked "Any idea what this thing is?"

Hilda shook her head. "Never seen anything like it before. You think it's what caused the storm."

"You're asking the wrong person about that," Ash replied. Though considering all the weird stuff me and Pikachu have been through, it probably is.

Shrugging, Ash slipped it into his backpack, much to the surprise and bewilderment of Hilda. "Uh, why did you put the weird stone in your backpack?"

Smirking, he replied "Because usually when something like that stone shows up in front of me, it's going to be important later."

She looked at him now like he was crazy. "Has this happened to you before?"

"The first time something like this happened to you, it was one of the weirdest days of your life. For me? It's my typical Saturday morning."

As hard as she tried, Hilda could not come up with a response for that. Just what is this guy's life like?

Pikachu tugged on Ash's leg, getting his Trainer's attention before pointing back towards the road. "Pika pika! Pika pika!"

"Oh right! We need to get back to Professor Oak so we can get to the lab!"

"Yeah in all the excitement I guess we forgot about that," she replied before they both took off running.

Once they were back in the car, the two of them got a good scolding from Professor Oak (though it was short-lived as he actually commended them for saving that Pokemon) and they were back on the road.

As the lab came into view, Ash turned back to say to Hilda "By the way, thanks for your help, Hilda."

She smiled and replied "No problem. Happy to help out a friend."

Grinning, Ash replied "Nice. Only my first day here and I already made a friend."

"Same."

And as the car pulled up next to the lab and everyone got out, Hilda couldn't help but wonder just what was in store for her on this journey. Hopefully no more freaky storms at least.

Meanwhile, in a hidden location, three figures were kneeling in front of a holographic screen, listening to the voice of their commander. "Are you clear on what you are to do," the man asked.

One of the figures, a woman with long red hair, nodded and replied "Yes. We are to aid you and your agents in your plan to take over the Unova Region and then the world."

"Exactly. And what do I expect?"

The second figure, a man with bluish-purple hair answered "Absolute loyalty and obedience, and no failures."

"And who do you serve?"

The third figure, a bit surprisingly, was a Meowth. But this was no ordinary Meowth, as it could walk on its hind legs and speak like a human. "We serve the cause of Team Rocket, and answer only to Boss Giovanni."

The man nodded, a thin smile on his face. "Excellent. If you perform admirably and without any screw-ups, I may be willing to overlook your... many, many failures in the past. But if you happen to fail me this time..."

He left the threat to hang in the air, and despite their stone-faced masks, all three members of the trio could feel the blood freeze in their veins. "That won't be a problem, Boss," the woman quickly said. "We understand how important this operation is."

"I hope so, Jessie, James, Meowth. For ALL of your sakes. Now make your way to Accumula Town. You'll receive new orders when you arrive."

"Yes sir," the three answered in unison.

And once the call ended and the screen disappeared, all three members of the Team Rocket Trio exhaled in relief. "Jeez-Lousie, I know the boss can be intimidating but that was a bit much," Meowth said.

"Considering our many failures and how we spend so much time and money on our half-baked schemes, it's to be expected," James muttered.

"Which is why we absolutely cannot mess this up," Jessie stated. "It's time to show the boss that our trio means business!"

There was a familiar flash of light as her Wobbuffet appeared, raising its right arm in a salute and loudly proclaiming "Wob-bu-fett!"

Meowth smiled and raised his paw in the air. "You said it, pal. For the glory of Team Rocket!"

"FOR THE GLORY OF TEAM ROCKET!"
