Note: Does take place in "What If" story, laser weapons and robots remain.
Minutemen ending; where both Institute and Brotherhood of Steel are destroyed- which I believe is the canon ending for Fallout 4.
Sole Survivor is Nate in this story, as I think he would be better suited to fight demons, because of his military training .
Also, takes place after both campaign and dlc stories.
The Castle was busy as usual; receiving reports on threats, training recruits, and keeping the Castle and its defenses in shape.
The General was called to meet with Preston Garvey and the Minutemen at the radio station, Nate approached the Minutemen operating the radio " General, we've been getting reports of attacks across the commonwealth" "why aren't we stopping this?" Nate asked with a concerned look on his face.
"We have sir, but the attacks are in random locations and at each one there is no sign of the attackers. According to the reports, a few caravans and some travelers were slaughtered, but neither the cargo or any possessions were taken, sir" the soldier replied . '
Could it be feral ghouls, but so many attacks' General Nate wondered, he decided to investigate the latest attack, the radio station Minutemen gave him the location.
In downtown Boston, where a caravan was massacred by these mysterious attackers, Nate and a small team of Minutemen went to find out what happened, and who caused it.
The team found the caravan, the caravaners and their brahmin were found butchered, ripped apart. It seemed that feral ghouls were responsible, but there is no trace of any feral in the area.
Then they got their answer: A small, monstrous, creature with spikes on its body appeared from the rubble. It screeched and multiple creatures appeared out of nowhere. These creatures were small and pretty easy to kill, yet they didn't look like they belong in the Commonwealth.
'What was that?' Nate wondered, the area is full of mutants and monsters, but these creatures didn't look like any mutated animal, they looked unearthly even by wasteland standards.
The General gets a radio message to return to the Castle, but it doesn't explain why.
Nate arrived at Castle and went into the General's quarters; where he found Preston, Roney Shaw, and… a tall robot. It didn't look like a Synth, or any other robots seen in the Commonwealth.
Standing up from a chair, 'it' spoke "hello, I'm Dr. Samuel Hayden. I believe you've met my colleagues in the Institute, before it's unfortunate destruction. We have much to talk about. Before we continue, I have a gift for you ". Dr. Hayden opened a box on the table, it contained a red crystal in glass, "take it. It will give you strength, help you on your journey, if you can survive the power surge" , Nate crushed it in his hands and felt a massive surge in his body.
Everyone nearby was shocked and some went for their weapons, Hayden wasn't fazed " that is pure Argent energy you've just taken into your system and it seems to agree with you. This is why I've come to meet with you. Everything you know about Hell, demons, and the like is far from the truth."
Dr. Hayden explained that these attackers were demons from the dimension of Hell.
Certain Institute technologies, like the Muscular Relay, were based on ancient alien tech found in ruins in Arabia and the Arctic, and was studied at CIT before the bombs fell, and after.
Through the Relay, they discovered Hell itself and, like the Commonwealth, they sought to exploit its resources for their own benefit, especially the Hell energies, which the Institute used the old reactor in their faculty to create Argent.
It was intended to power the Institute and sponsor Argent based projects, all of which were overseen by Samaul Hadyen and his team in the Advanced Systems division.
However when the Institute was destroyed, yet the connection between Hell and Earth wasn't served and allowed the demons a way to invade.
"At the moment they could only send a few at a time, but soon enough more will come, unless we sever the connection. Before you 'wastelanders' attacked the Institute, I hid several prototypes in the Commonwealth." Dr. Hayden explained " what kind of 'prototypes'?"
"Advanced combat armor, argent plasma weapons- built especially to fight demonic forces- and even artifacts recovered from their world, all necessary for defeating our common foe.
However, Gunner mercenaries have seized the bunker I've hidden them in, fortunately they can not access the vault without my passcodes, which I will give you" Hayden gave Nate both the codes to open the vault and its location.
Nate and a salvage team went to the old military bunker where the prototypes were stashed.
After clearing the area of Gunners, the General contacted Samual, via the pip-boy radio, "why did you hide these weapons here?" "I, along with many others, did not approve of Father's decision to make you the new Director,we didn't know your full intentions and couldn't trust you, a distrust proven right."
There were multiple advanced weapons and armor pieces in the pre war vault, including the Bio Field Gun (BFG) 9000 , the most powerful Institute Argent weapon.
Also there were several Hell artifacts, one of which was the Helix Stone- Nate touched the stone and saw visions of the Well, the source of the Hell energies, and an artifact called Crucible, which was the key to the Well's destruction and closing the portals between the two worlds.
After acquiring the tech, Nate returned to Railroad HQ, where Tinker Tom was trying to access Hayden's files, but the Institute security measures ensured only a Director could open the files.
Fortunately, before his death, Father made Nate- his biological father- the new Institute Director. He was able to access the files on Hell: Its defenses, the different types of demons, and a detailed map that leads to the Well.
An attack force, made up of Argent tech equipped and powered armor wearing Minutemen, led by General Nate and Dr. Hayden, the latter has been to Hell before and would navigate them through the Dark Realm.
It was likely as suicide mission, but if they can save the Commonwealth, Nate was willing to go for it. If he died or didn't return, Preston would take over as General of the Minutemen.
Here is another story for you, a crossover of two of Besthesta's best game franchises, Doom and Fallout (neither of which I own, they belong to the game company).
One thing you should know, and probably figured out, is that I'm not good at writing dialogue, I'm better at typing summaries and information, but not dialogue. Don't hold it against me.
Sorry if it isn't so good, I had trouble writing this down, so this was the best I could do. But isn't that what counts? (hehehe)
