Chapter 6
A Tragic End And A New Beginning
While everyone was fighting the Phoenix, Happy was relieved to see the whole guild was there, and they proceeded to fight the monster with everything they had. The team effort seemed to prove it, but the only ones who weren't fighting were Cody and Lucy, who stood with Eclair as they watched the battle.
"You see, you make lasting friendships," she said to them.
"Yeah, you're right, Eclair. It's just like how we became your friend, much like how Sora would. They'll always be in our hearts, no matter what," replied Cody.
"After all I've been through, all the pain I felt, it's nice to feel happiness again," smiled Eclair.
"You deserve it," assured Lucy, but the young woman toppled over in shock.
"What's wrong?" they asked.
"It's the phoenix. It's gathering power from everybody around it," she groaned.
The phoenix looked up and saw the giant meteor above, and began to absorb it into itself, with Sephiroth grinning with pride from nearby. It was now charging up what appeared to be a far more powerful version of Sephiroth's Divine Proclamation, which he knew as Supernova. Happy was worried, but Natsu assured him that giving up was not an option. The orange energy ball was growing larger and larger, until it was large enough to rival any star. Lucy grew worried as Cody gained a look of grim determination.
"What's happening with me? I feel so weak all of a sudden," she groaned.
"It's not you. The phoenix steals power from everything. It will take all the magic power it can, and use it to destroy everything," replied Eclair.
This shocked everyone, even as Sephiroth's dark cold laughter echoed everywhere, but Lucy seemed confused, even as Cody held her close.
"Now, great phoenix. End this world, and revive yourself, so that you can truly be free of these mortals. Then, your soul shall become part of mine," said the One-Winged Angel.
"That is something we will never allow, no matter what sacrifice must be made," interjected Makarov.
Sora was aghast at what he heard, despite keeping up the fight.
"Wouldn't you agree, Miss Eclair?" he asked.
'But how? The people from Fire Village are gone, their technique to seal it is lost. So how could we do it?" questioned Eclair.
"We will not seal it, but destroy it. 400 years ago, the great wizard, Kalard, completed work on a magic weapon that was to be used against the phoenix. It was called the Arrow of Evil's Destruction. It was entrusted to the council," said the elderly wizard.
"He did? Could this be the dispel magic he spoke of?" Eclair asked.
Makarov nodded bitterly.
"It is extremely powerful. It will completely annihilate the phoenix. However, you should know that anyone who's consumed it's blood will disappear along with it," he said.
"They will?" gasped Lucy.
"Erza will fire when I give the signal," he added sadly.
"No, Sora told me that the loss of life is too much to bear. Eclair has to live," protested Cody, as he watched Erza change into a set of armor fit for an archer.
"I chose not to disclose that fact to her. This will be my sin to bear alone," Makarov argued.
"Go ahead. You have my blessing," ushered Eclair, despite Lucy's protests.
She begged him, but it was too late. Makarov gave the signal, even as she howled in anguish.
"Lucy, Cody, it's for the best," she told them.
"No! You're wrong! We were trying to tell you that magic is not a curse at all! You can't just throw it away!" cried Cody.
"I've had a long, long life. I don't want it to last forever. I will always be with you. The memories that we made together, those will never die. I promise. It's such a special gift, so thank you, both" Eclair said to them.
"NO! YOU CAN'T DO THIS! WE DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITHOUT YOU!" screamed the son of Xehanort.
"I know Momon is waiting for me," she finished.
"Seek out and destroy the evil!" cried Erza, and she fired the arrow.
It struck it's mark, despite Lucy's anguished screams. Then the phoenix began to scream, but Sephiroth saw what was going on, and he stood back, doing nothing. Everyone began running as fast as they could, even as the celestial mage called to Eclair, as the energy ball flew up into the sky, then exploded. Suddenly, Natsu heard Eclair's voice, telling him to stop the destruction. The dragon slayer nodded, then pushed the arrow with all his might, with Sora joining in. with a mighty roar, they managed to break the stone, and the phoenix went silent. At last, the bird began to crumble to dust, and Eclair's body began to fade away, which meant that her heart was returning to Kingdom Hearts to rest in peace.
"I'm glad to have met you. Truly…" she said to them, as Lucy cried her heart for her, while Cody held her in his arms.
Then her spirit appeared.
"Lucy, Cody, promise me you'll cherish our memories," she told them, and slowly rose up.
"We will, Eclair. We promise," Cody replied quietly, as his eyes stung with tears.
But the celestial mage still begged her not to go. Luckily, Happy caught Natsu, as Sora assumed his Divine Lucian Harmony form, with two angelic wings appearing from his shoulder blades.
"I thank you, Natsu and Sora. Your friends need you now. Help mend their hearts," Eclair said to them.
"We will, Eclair. May your heart as well as Momon's rest in peace," Sora replied somberly.
"Goodbye, but before we go, I want everyone in Fairy Tail to know how much you helped us," smiled Momon, and their spirits formed the Fairy Tail Emblem in the sky.
"Hmph… Foolish child," scoffed Sephiroth, and he faded away into the darkness, knowing that everything had failed, then slaughtered the members of Carbuncle, and took their souls into himself.
It was finally over, but a somber feeling hung in the air around them, even as Sephiroth spoke coldly at what happened.
"I didn't know, she'd die," sobbed Erza.
But even as Wendy wept, the requip mage was also saddened, but the one who was taking this even harder, was Lucy, just as Happy and Natsu approached her.
"We lost her. We lost Eclair," she cried.
The celestial mage looked at Cody.
"Cody, this magic only caused sadness. Is that really true?" she asked.
Cody wasn't sure what to say at that moment, but with one somber glance at Natsu, the young dragon slayer shook his head slowly. Lucy stumbled towards Cody, who gently wrapped his arms around her, even as Sora gave a loud yell that echoed across Earthland, just as he did after witnessing Saphir's death, which made him truly hate Death Phantom for what he had done to truly become a God of Destiny. The scream was so powerful, that it immediately led to Erza running towards him and hugging him from behind, as he finally broke down and wept for Eclair.
"If magic can make me cry, there's gotta be a way it can make me stop crying too," she sobbed.
"From what I can tell you, Eclair's smile meant one thing before she passed away, Lucy. She was the spark that would reignite the flame of hope which burns in our hearts. That's what she felt was in her heart. A chance to see hope's flame burn bright like the sun above, whenever we see it rise. Also, despite her nature, she wanted you to know, no matter what happens, we stand together… as a family. And that's exactly what it means for Fairy Tail. It's more than just any magical guild in all the world. It's like being part of a family. And that's what we are, no matter what in this moment," he assured her, and he pulled Lucy close to him, right as Sora looked forlorn at what happened.
Everyone still stood motionless, following the passing of Eclair and Momon, but Sora soon began to grow somber and silent, as a tear slowly rolled down his cheek after he heard what Cody had said, even as they quietly left for the Kingdom of Fiore. However, the same could not be said for Prince Cream, who ultimately died at the hands of Sephiroth, and reduced the entirety of the Kingdom of Veronica to rubble and ash, but also reduced the people living in that small kingdom as dust that scattered about in all directions by the four winds, but their souls were now absorbed by him, making him become even more stronger.
"You and Momon were fools, Eclair. However, your deaths have greatly affected Sora immensely, but have filled Lucy's heart with pure despair," he said with a cruel smile, then vanished in a burst of darkness that sent black feathers scattering everywhere.
Finally, Wendy looked at Sora and most of Team SKYYYLAARC who were mostly unscathed, while Asuka and Yumi were reduced to wearing bikinis after their garments were destroyed.
"She's gone, isn't she, Sora?" she asked.
Sora quietly nodded at them, making them turn and look at the terrible destruction of Veronica, which was built upon the four hundred year old ruins of Fire Village. Even though he hated Sephiroth thanks to what he had done to Nehelenia, he was saddened by the fact that two of his newest friends were gone. Just then, Cody arrived, and wondered what was going on, only for Lucy to run up to him and hug him once more, as new tears rolled down her cheeks. Cody wrapped his arms around her, as he felt her whole body wracked by choked sobs.
"Please hold me," she whimpered softly.
Sora looked down, pulled back his vambrace, and looked at the Fairy Tail emblem on his hand, which was placed on him by Mirajane Strauss, right as Gray looked at him, until he heard his gummi phone ring.
"Sora, someone's calling you," he said.
"I'll contact them, Gray," Sora replied quietly.
He pulled out his gummi phone and answered it. On the screen was an image of Winter Schnee, Weiss' sister.
"Sora, this is Captain Winter Schnee of the RGRO corvette Ixion. Reeve asked me to have some transports bring some materials to repair the Fairy Tail guild hall with explicit permission. Hopefully these will satisfy Master Makarov when he sees them," she said to him.
"Thank you, Captain," acknowledged Sora.
"I'm sure that Weiss will be happy to see you again during the rebuilding process, Sora. She was insistent on going with me so that she could ask how you're feeling after you tell her what happened. Carbuncle out," Winter explained, then shut off the transmitter.
Sora watched as the screen blinked back to the menu on his phone. Knowing full well that the reconstruction effort would begin, Sora turned sadly to Erza, then looked into her eyes.
"Erza, be ready to welcome the new arrivals. They, um… they don't know about Fairy Tail's procedures. Just guide them as best you can," he said.
"I'll see what we can do, Sora," she replied.
He looked at Kirito.
"I'm leaving you in charge, Kirito," he added somberly, then walked off to do some soul searching in his personal quarters.
"Sora," Lucy murmured as Cody gently held her at his side.
"I think it's best if we leave him alone for a little while, Lucy," Yumi said to her.
"Yeah, Yumi's right. It's best if he takes some time to himself for now," Natsu agreed quietly.
Once on the docks of Corvus, within the Country of Fiore, Sora looked to the sky above, as Eclair and Momon's spirits came down to see him, and stood silently in front of him, while the supply shuttles came down to the ruins of Fairy Tail's guild hall, and landed safely on the ground, where resupply teams would bring them to Makarov who thanked them.
(Author's notes: Yes, I'm still referencing The Sixth Sense which featured Haley Joel Osment as the boy who saw dead people)
"Eclair, Momon, I'm so sorry. I wish there was a way to avert your deaths, so that you could live forever, but I see now that what I'm wishing for is a stupid miracle that'll never come true," he said in sullen tone.
"Sora, what happened to us wasn't your fault. It was Prince Cream's mercenary band that planned to destroy the entire world, because they were working for Sephiroth, the One-Winged Angel. All I ask is that you don't even think of throwing away your own morality for the sake of revenge. Any action of that kind would only lead to us feeling nothing but disappointment in your actions. Both you, Lucy, Cody, and all of your friends have taught me what it means to have friends, and although I gave my life for you, I can see that it's affected you in a way I never imagined. So don't let my sacrifice be in vain, and let it be the strength that helps you continue to move forward, no matter how difficult it may be. That way, you can become something more than what you truly are," Eclair explained to him.
Then she did something that caught him by surprise. To Sora, it was as if he had been kissed by an angel, who had taken Eclair's form.
"No matter where I go, my spirit will always be in your heart, just as I'm in Lucy's heart," she added, then slowly faded away into the afterlife of Kingdom Hearts, so that she would truly rest in peace.
"Farewell, Eclair, daughter of Kalard. May your heart be at peace within Kingdom Hearts," Sora said, then he turned and walked away from the docks.
Sometime later after the guild hall was repaired and rebuilt by the RGRO, Sora stood before everyone, as he slowly passed mugs filled with a non-alcoholic beverage called root beer to all of his friends within Fairy Tail's guild hall. Finally, he took one mug in his hand and turned to everyone that was gathered before him, then to Ruby, Yang, Leafa, Asuka, and Yumi, and held it out before him to all the others who did the same.
"To absent friends…" he said quietly, offering a toast.
But then he saw all of the mages alongside Team SKYYYLAARC, who held their mugs towards him, just as he did, then chose the words that best fit everyone in the Fairy Tail guild, after gently shaking his head slowly.
"To family," Sora said.
They drank the root beer slowly. When they had taken their sip and lowered their mugs, Lucy broke down once more, prompting Cody to gently wrap his arm around her. Everyone saw that she was still in pain, after the tragedy that had occured. But then Cody decided that it was time to break the silence once more.
"The first time we met Eclair, she looked a little bit like an angel, even before we learned about her origins. It was a very strange sight to both me and Lucy. And no matter what, she still believed that magic was pure evil. But I know that magic isn't evil at all. Sometimes it should be used for good, rather than evil forever. At least, that's what I believe," he said.
Sora looked at Cody, then nodded silently at him. The next day, after everyone had returned to their homes, Sora sat in his apartment, looking out at the guild hall that was now slowly being restored to its original glory. He soon heard a knock on the door.
"Come in," he said.
It slowly opened, and Gray stepped through the doorway.
"Oh, Gray," Sora greeted him.
"Permission to speak with one of your friends," he replied.
"Granted. So, tell me, what is it that Fairy Tail's ice mage wants to do for one of my friends?" Sora asked.
"I want to give Kirito something to commemorate our friendship. Thankfully, I gave Juvia a brief explanation of what I was going to do. Apparently, like me, he knows what it's like to have someone who's devoted to him, as well as loves him immensely," Gray explained.
"I think I know who that is, Gray. The Lightning Flash herself, Asuna. In fact, I can't think of a better man who'd be willing to speak to Kirito of his own accord. But, if I may, just a little bit of advice about this gift you have for Kirito," he replied.
"Anything," smiled Gray.
"When you pass your gift to Kirito, after you explain what it is…" Sora said.
"Tell him to treat it with respect. I intend to," replied the ice mage.
But then he grew sad about what happened to Eclair and Momon.
"Eclair and Momon were truly great friends, weren't they?" he asked.
"But they're at peace, Gray," Sora assured him.
The two friends shook hands with each other, and soon the ice mage left to find Kirito, who was now sharing breakfast with Asuna and Yui inside a cafe that was close to the guild hall. Sora turned slowly away, then looked up into the morning sky above, as he knew that wherever Eclair and Momon were, they would always be watching over them from the afterlife of Kingdom Hearts.
"I just can't believe that Eclair gave her life so that we could live," he said to them.
"I know, but her sacrifice was so that we could continue to live on, and forge our own destiny, rather than submit to one that's been written in stone by someone with evil intentions, Daddy," replied Yui.
"Speaking of, where's Leafa?" Asuna asked.
"Knowing her, I feel like she's gone off to do some odd jobs for Fairy Tail, with Wendy and Carla at her side," replied Kirito.
After they finished breakfast and paid the check so that they wouldn't get caught up in doing the dishes, but also wiped the seats with their napkins which they respectfully left on the table, there standing before them was Gray Fullbuster, with Juvia Lockser at his side.
"Hey, Kirito, I asked for Sora's permission to give you something to help commemorate our friendship. As for Juvia, she's only here because she's unsure of what I mean by that," he explained to the Dark Knight of Aincrad.
A shimmering light appeared in front of Kirito, and hovered over his hands.
"What's this?" he asked.
"It's my soul drive, Ice Man's soul. Apparently, Sora told me about how these soul drives work. When you have a strong bond with someone, you share that power with the other. It's sort of like how Natsu gave Sora his Dragon Slayer Soul drive so that he can utilize some of his powers. I felt like giving this to you because we can sometimes be cold and callous, as well as have a powerful rival in someone, even though we're friends, that much I can say. But at the same time, we both know what it's like to have someone who's devoted to us, since you have Asuna, and I have Juvia," said Gray.
Juvia and Asuna looked at each other, then nodded to each other out of respect, as the lightning flash took Kirito's hand in her own.
"Yeah, I know what that's like, Gray," smiled the dark knight.
"Also, make sure you take care of him, Asuna. And the same goes to you as well, Yui," said the water mage.
"Don't worry, I won't let him go, and neither will Yui, nor anyone else," Asuna replied.
Nearby, Natsu and Sora stood near the entrance, just as Cody and Lucy had finished with their date.
"Hey, Sora, I hope the next time we have another adventure together, we fight for the friends and family we hold dear to our hearts," he said.
"Yeah, same here, Natsu," agreed Sora, and they shook hands with each other as well.
"Gray, I… I hope you don't get mad at me for saying this to you, but I'm glad that you and Sora are friends. Also, don't let your heated rivalry with Natsu lead to the Heartless taking advantage of your situation, otherwise Erza would have to put you on janitorial duties for a full week," warned Juvia.
This made Natsu and Gray flinch, as they now knew that Juvia could be just as terrifying as Erza would be, or as stern as Master Yen Sid.
"By the way, if you're ever in need of a training partner, I'm sure Erza would be more than happy to help you become stronger than before," he added, despite his unease at what he heard Juvia say.
"I'd be honored to be Erza's student, but I have a feeling that she's gonna be pretty strict with me, so I'd better make sure I don't slack in front of her, or else she might whip me into better shape," replied Sora.
By the time Lucy and Cody arrived at the apartment that she was living in, they slowly walked up the stairs and the Son of Xehanort quietly sat down on the bed, but looked at the floor.
"I know how you feel, Cody. I'm also still hurting after Eclair passed away," she said.
"But seeing her smile, made me think that she was asking me to be by your side," Cody replied.
Lucy was surprised to hear that, until she saw him slowly stand up.
"Lucy, please don't hate me for what I'm gonna say to you," he told her.
"Why do you think I'd hate you?" questioned Lucy.
"I also know what it was like to have a father not being by your side, just like what happened with you and Eclair after your fathers passed away. Ever since he left me when I was still a baby, I've felt nothing but emptiness, even after my mother, Fiona, passed away. That's why I was raised by both Yugi Muto and his grandfather, Solomon, and they taught me a lot of things so that I could never repeat my father's actions and have history repeat itself again. What I'm trying to tell you is that I want to prove that I'm not like what my dad, Xehanort, had become, so that I can work harder at being a better person. I wish to prove that I'm worthy of being with someone who also knows the pain of what it's like to not have a family that would love and care for you, because I want to be by your side for as long as I can, even if it's almost impossible. That's exactly what I choose to believe in. That's the reason why I love you, Lucy Heartfilia. After seeing how Sora felt after he saw Nehelenia, Galaxia, and Homura die, after such horrible circumstances that took their lives, I don't want you to go through the same thing that they did. Therefore, we'll always protect each other, and the people of both Fiore, and beyond, if you're okay with it," Cody explained.
"I'd be honored, Cody," smiled Lucy, as she felt her eyes sting with tears of joy.
Cody smiled back at her.
"Listen, just because you're different from Natsu, Gray, and all the other guys in Earthland, is the reason why I suddenly had a crush on you. Even though I can be annoyed at them for being obnoxious, I'm sure that they'd be very happy to know that I truly care about you. Sure you may be Xehanort's kid, but I know that you can still prove yourself in a way that's different from what he was. Besides, there's no way I'd even think of letting anyone hurt you, just like how Natsu won't. But, if the two of us do get married, and have children to carry on our legacy, I know you'll be a better father than what that old fart was," she said kindly to him, making him chuckle a bit.
"Thank you, Lucy," replied Cody.
Then at long last, the two of them shared their first real kiss with each other, when their lips touched each other, although Natsu would be watching from a safe distance away. But then they suddenly heard him crying tears of joy, which did lead to Happy handing him a box of tissue paper to blow his nose and dry his eyes.
"Sorry, guys. We'll just leave you two alone right now," he called to them, and they flew off back to the Fairy Tail guild hall.
Luckily, Lucy and Cody pulled back from each other, even though they heard Happy say something that seemed out of character for him. However, Mirajane looked up at the window, and she smiled at the new couple.
"I'm happy for both you and Lucy, Cody," she said.
Back inside of the guild hall, Sora and Lucy sat on opposite sides of the table, with two empty mugs of root beer beside them.
"I'm not sure if any of this may make some sense, but I wanted you to know what kind of woman Eclair was, in her quest to ensure that this world would never be reduced to a wasteland through fire and brimstone. She helped us to see what it means to preserve a different kind of fire called the fire of hope," he explained.
"But, Eclair was feeling spiteful of many forms of magic," replied the celestial mage.
"That may be true, Lucy. But, what she wanted more than anything, was to form a connection with someone, who knew what it was like to grow up without a father or father figure at our side, even though I don't talk about my father all that much, after events that have left me feeling nothing but hate and contempt for him. Eclair wanted to try and help us see many different sides of ourselves. She evolved… No. She embraced change, because she really wanted to be better than what she was, thanks to Momon trying to give her some assurance. No matter what kind of magic we see or hear of, it can change us in many ways, much like how seeing Nehelenia, Galaxia, and Homura's deaths changed me in a very negative way. Also, while I may despise both Cinder, Sephiroth, and Maleficent for what they've done, I know that I shouldn't waste my time in trying to kill them out of revenge, as it would surely shatter my belief in the Light of Justice," Sora said.
"Yeah. I think you might be right, Sora," sighed Lucy.
"Well, I'm just glad you came to talk to me," he replied, but he gained a sad smile, right as Juvia tapped his shoulder.
"Sora, we're just about ready to reopen the guild hall," she said to him.
"Good, and can you tell Makarov that I'll see him shortly?" Sora asked her.
The water mage nodded, a look of respect in her eyes, and she walked off to the Guild Master's quarters.
"Let's continue our talk at a later time," he said to Lucy, and slowly stood up.
But as he slowly walked off, he suddenly heard the celestial mage singing something in a quiet voice.
"Never saw the sun… Never saw the sun… Never saw the sun…" she sang softly.
"Shining so bright," Sora sang back.
"Shining so bright. Never saw things…" Lucy continued.
She hummed softly.
"Going so right," Sora sang to her once more.
"Going so right," finished the celestial mage.
Sensing that some part of Eclair may have survived in Lucy's heart, Sora slowly turned quietly away, just as Cody quietly sat beside her, then gently wrapped his arm around her. On his way to Makarov, Sora stopped, looked at the new couple, a quiet smile forming on his face, then he slowly turned away, and walked off, his eyes filled with hope at the prospect of new adventures that awaited him and his friends, who would continue to fly in the winds of adventure with Team SKYYYLAARC, but to also ensure that he'd always honor Eclair's memory. However, as he was passing by Erza Scarlet, he heard one of his friends talking to Erza Scarlet, who took this time to welcome the newcomer as an ally of Fairy Tail.
"Excuse me, Miss Scarlet," it said.
"Please, call me Erza," she replied kindly to him.
"Um, my name is Madoka Kaname, I'm also another of Sora's companions," the young pinkett said to Erza.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Madoka," smiled Erza, as they shook hands with each other.
"Erza, I… I just hope you don't find me too young, immature, naive, or idiotic like one of the guild members who I heard of called Wendy. I was wondering if you could help me with just a bit of insight on how I can be more relaxed around Sora, even though I started blaming myself for how my being with my late friend Homura only caused her nothing but pain," Madoka explained.
Wendy had to give a bit of a light giggle, as the mood slowly became less somber and a bit more lively.
"Well, the one thing that you should know about Sora, now that he's part of Fairy Tail, is that he can sometimes not be a by the book type of member. He likes to keep things a little bit casual. In fact, if you wish to be on his good side, you can still call him by his name," explained the requip mage.
"Thank you, Erza," smiled the Chosen Magical Girl.
Gray and Lucy exchanged a bit of a confused glance to one another, just as Erza went off to meet with Makarov in his quarters. Finally, Sora arrived in the dining hall of the guild hall, and Madoka slowly approached him.
"It's great to see you again, Sora. I'm really sorry for showing up out of the blue," she said to him.
But Sora shook his head slowly and hugged her, then he stepped back.
"Welcome to Fairy Tail, Madoka. I just hope the RGRO's rebuilding of this guild hall didn't lead to some problems," replied the spiky brunette.
"Mr. Tuesti assured me that I had the free reign to see you in person," explained Madoka.
"Thankfully, we're just in the final stages of the refitting of this hall. As you can tell, we've got a lot to discuss. How about you and I head out to a restaurant for dinner at around 7:00 PM?" Sora suggested to her.
"I'd be happy to do that, Sir," smiled the Puella Magi.
Sora slowly turned around with a bit of an amused smile.
"Uh, Erza was pulling my leg, wasn't she, Sora?" she asked sheepishly.
Natsu gave a bit of a quiet chuckle. Then he noticed Cody and Lucy sharing a meal with each other, but overheard him promising to pay for it with his own money, which made her relieved, just as Juvia stepped up.
"Um, Sora, Gray told me about what happened between him and Kirito, when he gave him his IceMan Soul Drive form, as well as spoke of how you offered him some advice on how he should treat his gift with respect," she explained.
Sora nodded, then signaled Kirito to approach them.
"Well, let's have him show us this form, shall we?" he suggested.
With a slight nod, Kirito motioned for everyone to step back.
"ICEMAN SOUL!" he shouted.
Instantly his whole being was surrounded by an icy blue aura, and his clothes turned into Gray's clothes.
"Wow. This is pretty interesting," Kirito admitted.
"Why don't you try summoning an Ice type Keyblade to your hand?" asked Juvia.
Kirito did, then he gave it a few swings, while also being careful not to harm anyone. He relaxed and looked at the ice sword in his hand.
"I really like this soul drive," he said to Gray, who nodded in agreement.
But of course, as he reverted back to his regular clothes, Juvia passed out, overwhelmed by the sight of seeing two Grays in her presence.
"Well, Madoka. Both Teams Natsu and SKYYYLAARC are going to be heading off to another part of Earthland to help out in the rebuilding of Veronica, where I'll be holding a speech for the people to let them know that we need to honor the memory of Eclair and Momon, who's lives shall never be forgotten, as well as ask them to ensure that they keep them in their hearts, so that they know we'll always remember them. It's a place where… where no one has gone before," Sora explained.
Although Sora knew that Eclair's heart was at peace in the afterlife of Kingdom Hearts, he hoped that one day, she'd still be watching him with a smile on his face, as well as ask her to give him some helpful advice on how he could approach any situation of his own accord, as he always knew that family would always come first, no matter where he'd go, and which world he would visit with his companions, the Warriors of Light.
