AUTHOR'S NOTE:
While going through one of my drawers an old notebook of mine appeared, I stumbled upon this barely plotted out concept for a Harry Potter and Doctor Who crossover,
The following story is inspired from the idea of Weeping Angels existing below Hogwarts!
SETTING:
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Shortly after Harry, Ron, and Gilderoy Lockhart descended the pipe into the chamber.
CHAPTER ONE: Prologue
"You go on ahead, Harry. I will stay here and try to shift these rocks." Ron encouraged Harry, from the other side of a two-inch gap that separated them. "Tell Ginny, that I'm here to rescue her too."
"Alright, Ron. I will make sure to inform her of that the moment I see her." Harry responded, looking away from his friend and nervously checking his watch. The ticking of its gears fueling his nervousness. The ticking of his watch hands reverberated horrendously through the large caverns around him. Or was he only imagining the thunderous noise.
"Hurry up." Ron urged, as Professor Lockhart got to his feet, and noticed the gap in the fallen rock before him. "What a strange window; is that's what in these days?" Gilderoy muttered while looking about the cavern. "How strange."
"I'll be back with Ginny soon, Ron." Harry responded, ignoring his addled professor. Shaking his head to clear it of Lockhart's maddening comments, Harry turned his attention to the shadowy depths ahead. The damp smell of accumulated rot punctuating the air.
Crunch. Crack. SNAP. Every few steps. The bones of small animals crunched and broke beneath his feet. The sounds combined with the smell of the place did nothing to ease Harry's nerves. The place smelled like Nearly Headless Nick's Death Day party. And each step ahead added to his horror. For what if Ginny were dead?
The further he went through the passageway, the more it seemed likely she might already be dead. For surely a basilisk that could leave so much shed skin and waste in its wake was going to have no problem killing an eleven-year-old girl. Running along the passage now, Harry lost all awareness of the ghastly tune his passing steps beated against the stone below him.
Further and further, he ran. Until finally he came to a stop in front of a giant door made from stone. The elaborate door loomed over him. Realistic snakes glittered in the dim light illuminating from his wand, gleaming down at him with startingly cut emerald eyes. Something about their stone gaze, captivated Harry. A sense of danger stirring him to be mindful of them as he hissed, "Open."
Thankfully, the hissed command worked. The doors slowly began to swing open; just as the sink had moved aside for him back in Myrtle's bathroom on the second floor. The doors opened fully to reveal the room beyond them. Slytherin's chamber; while daunting to be in, really lacked security against fellow Parselmouths.
The air in this new room was somehow even more damp than the area through which he had just sprinted. Slytherin's Chamber was a large rectangular room, with a soaring ceiling, and occasional tunnel entrances spaced along the walls. Massive stone snakes perpendicularly lined the chamber on its left and right side, creating a mockery of an isle between them up to an enormous statue of someone that could be none other than Salazar Slytherin. At the statue's feet there appeared to be a slumped figure. "Ginny!" Harry cried out, after he had moved forward far enough to catch a glimpse of her red hair.
Harry's voice reverberated loudly throughout the chamber, and yet the figure did not move. Worry once again spurring him forward, Harry raced towards Ginny, before coming to a halt before her. She did not look good. Her skin dramatically contrasted against her fiery red hair, pale in comparison. "Ginny?" Harry called to no avail. "Ginny, wake up."
