PART V

The Truth Revealed, Devildom under Attack

Arriving at the Archives, Solomon pushed open the double doors and they entered. As Kagura and Solomon stepped into the Archives, the scent of old books came to Kagura creating a sense of nostalgia. She remembered the old and dusty Library again where she read those books on magic and found The Elemental Grimoire, but this time, she had a clearer picture of what the Library looked like. The Library had been old and dusty with creepy décor, but still impressive looking. She remembered that rows upon rows of books had lined the wooden shelves ringing the whole room. A cozy fireplace had lain adjacent to the bookshelves as well. There was also an antique clock on the mantel and a painting above it. The ceiling had a hanging candelabrum that illuminated the room with candlelight. Across from the fireplace, there were two purple chairs lined with velvet, and between the chairs there had been a creepy looking reading desk. A thick red carpet had also covered the floor in that massive library.

"Solomon, I remembered more of the Library where I found The Elemental Grimoire. Have you been to that Library before? There was a hanging candelabra hanging from the ceiling, two purple chairs lined with velvet, and a thick red carpet. A painting of a moonlit night hung above the fireplace mantel and on the mantel was an antique clock. Next to the clock was a skull-shaped candleholder."

Solomon gave Kagura a long look before answering, "Yes, Kagura. That is the Library in the House of Lamentation where the Demon Brothers live. You said you found the Lost Grimoire there. How did it appear before you in the first place?"

Kagura thought for a moment then said, "It was really strange. I was looking for spell books on Elemental Magic when my eyes were suddenly drawn to a spell book that was just there. I haven't the slightest idea how it appeared like that, but the book was drawing me toward it. As I reached over to touch it, the book started to glow. At first I was startled, but my curiosity got the better of me so I pulled it off the shelf. At first sight, it looked like any other spell book until I noticed the silver colored Seal. I knew immediately that this was no ordinary spell book because it had a strange Seal. In addition, I felt immense power radiating from it. The book seemed to call me as well, and before I knew it, I had released the Seal."

Solomon stared at Kagura, "The book called to you? That never happens unless the Grimoire chose you as its new owner. Grimoires are passed down from generation to generation. Either the Grimoire recognizes you as the next owner based on ancestry or choose their new owners based on power compatibility. In rare cases, Grimoires would choose their new owners whose Destiny is linked to the Grimoire in some way. I believe that you are the rare case. The Lost Grimoire chose you because your Destiny is linked to the Grimoire, but I don't know what that Destiny is."

Now it was Kagura's turn to stare, "Whoa... Slow down, Solomon. You think the Grimoire chose me because my Destiny is linked to it? That's unrealistic. This only happens in fantasy, in RPGs. Destiny, Fate, all of that does not happen in the realm of reality. I admit I like to read about it in books, but this is not a book. It's real life."

Solomon was grave when he looked at Kagura. "Kagura, this is something that you cannot deny. Before you lost your memories, you went to school with me, a Sorcerer, the Demon Brothers, and the Angels. You learned magic, and have encountered anything and everything supernatural. You gained powers at the Arcane Stage and had cast spells beyond the realm of comprehension. After all that has happened, do you still believe that everything is unrealistic?"

Kagura looked at Solomon and knew he was right. "You're right Solomon. I cannot deny the truth, but I came from a normal and practical family doing normal and practical things. I learned that I have magical abilities. I also learned that demons and angels exist, including sorcerers. And now Destiny is in the mix. This is too much to take in."

Solomon looked at Kagura and said, "I understand your feelings Kagura and understand how this would be difficult to accept, but I promise you, the Demon Brothers, Lord Diavolo, Barbatos, the Angels and I will help you no matter what."

Kagura nodded with a small smile, "Thanks for that, Solomon. I'll learn to accept it. After all, I have you and everyone else here. I'm also taking my own steps. I will start by learning about the Battle, so where do we find this information?"

Solomon nodded and said, "Based on what I know about the Archives, the books are arranged in order by year of publication, and subdivided by subject. So, to find where the records of the Battle are, we'll need to go to the History section and find the oldest publications. They are probably near the back."

"Okay."

Kagura and Solomon went toward the back and soon found the "History" section of the Archives. The shelves here were massive. Rows upon rows of shelves surrounded the area. Together, they searched the shelves for the oldest publications and soon found them. Kagura and Solomon carefully took out the old books and looked through them for information about the Battle. As they browsed the books, they came upon excerpts of the Battle, but that was not enough information.

"Solomon, there is not enough information in these books. I'm going deeper toward the back. I'll let you know if I find something."

Solomon nodded, "Okay, but be careful. I'll look through some more of these books. If I find anything, I'll let you know."

Kagura nodded and went deeper toward the back. There, she found even more books but these looked Ancient. The book covers were not in the best shape and the pages within were yellowed with age. As she browsed the shelves, she saw a faint glow coming from behind one of the shelves. Curious, Kagura made her way toward the glow. As she came closer and closer, the glow seems to get brighter and brighter. Kagura stilled. The same thing had happened before when she found The Elemental Grimoire reappearing on her bedroom dresser. When she reached the area where the glow was emitting from, she found a very Ancient book. Just like when she found the Lost Grimoire, this book was also calling to her. Reaching toward the book, Kagura took it off the shelf. The book was very thick, its binding worn, the leather cover fading with age. Looking at the title, Kagura just managed to make out what the words read, "Historias et Annales Priorum et Daemonium Domino, Historical Records of the Demon Lord".

Kagura's eyes widened when she read the title. This must be what we're looking for. Daemonium Domino is Latin for Demon Lord so it must be the historical records gathered by Devildom scholars.

"Solomon! Come here! I think I found what we're looking for."

Solomon was busy looking through another book when he heard Kagura shout for him. He returned the book he was holding to the shelf then made his way to Kagura. A few minutes later, he found her. She was holding a very Ancient book. The binding was worn, so was its cover, faded over time. Solomon walked to her and froze in shock when he saw the book she was holding. Impossible, this book used to belong to the original owner of the Lost Grimoire. When he died, not only did his Grimoire disappear but this book disappeared as well. Lord Diavolo and Michael never knew of the existence of this book because the owner had entrusted The Book to Solomon. During the aftermath of the War, as he lay dying in Solomon's arms, the Archmage had told him that the Seal he placed on the Evil Entity would not last forever, that the Evil Entity will one day Awake and create Chaos and Destruction once again. Someone else would some day take up his burden. They would be the ones to destroy the Evil Entity once and for all. He had told Solomon to find that person, to protect them before the Awakening. Solomon had promised.

"Kagura, where…how did you come across this book?"

Kagura noticed the tension in Solomon's voice and went still. Don't tell me he knows something about this book too?

"I was browsing the shelves searching for books on the Battle when I came across this book. While I was browsing, I saw a faint glow coming from behind one of the shelves. I followed the glow then came across this book. Solomon, you know something about this book. What is this book? It's not the historical records gathered by Devildom scholars?"

Solomon shook his head. "These are historical records but they are not gathered by Devildom scholars. Collecting information on Devildom history is not their responsibility. This book belonged to the original owner of the Lost Grimoire. His name was Talmar, also known as the Archmage Talmar. The Archmage was the one who led the sorcerers in the Battle. All the sorcerers were from the Sorcerers Guild. I was one of them. Before the Archmage's death, he entrusted this book to me, but after his death, this book, along with The Grimoire disappeared. I have searched centuries for this book in secret but did not find any trace of it. Lord Diavolo and Michael did not know of the existence of this book because I never told them. I had promised the Archmage to keep it a secret before the Evil Entity awakes."

"So you knew that the Evil Entity would awake someday."

"Yes, the Archmage told me. He knew all along that the Seal he placed on the Evil Entity would not last forever and knew that He would Awake one day. During the aftermath of the War, his last words to me were that someone else would take up his burden and would destroy the Evil Entity once and for all. He told me to find that person and protect them before the Awakening, and I promised. I'm still searching for that person and have not found any trace of them. I'm running out of time. The Evil Entity is already half awake. If they are not found, the Three Realms well be destroyed once again."

Kagura looked at Solomon as he told her his story. Solomon has his own task he must complete but the pressure is getting to him. His burden is great. What can I do to help him? The only thing I could do is to comfort him and help him in whatever way I can.

Returning from her thoughts, Kagura set aside the book and hugged Solomon.

"I'm sure you can find that person. I believe in you. I want to help as well."

Solomon hugged her back and said, "Thank you Kagura. You don't know how much that means to me. But for now, let's look through the book and see what information it holds."

Kagura nodded. Picking up the book, she opened it. Reading through the book, Solomon's and Kagura's face became grave. The Evil Entity has no physical form. It is a mass of Darkness and Chaos created from Negative energy. The energy is taken from Negative souls and Negative emotions. These can power up and strengthen the Evil Entity. In order for it to appear in physical form, it needs a human vessel.

Looking up from the book, Kagura said, "If it requires a human vessel to appear physically, then could the vessel be what we saw near Merlin's Cave?"

Solomon shook his head. "What we saw there were possessed humans that were no longer alive and had no souls. They were mere shells. That's why they turned to dust. For it to manifest in physical form, it needs a human vessel either dead or alive with a soul still intact."

Kagura went still as Solomon's words registered in her mind. A memory of her time in Merlin's Cave surfaced. She remembered that when she was escaping Merlin's Cave, she encountered a hooded figure. Within the hooded figure, she had sensed a vast amount of Dark Power, including powers that were old, ancient, evil. She had first thought that he was the Dark Mages' leader but after hearing what Solomon said she had a feeling that the figure was the human vessel for the Evil Entity.

"Solomon, I remembered something else from my time at Merlin's Cave. While I was escaping from Merlin's Cave, I encountered a hooded figure. From him, I sensed a vast amount of Dark Power, including powers that were old, ancient, evil. With my powers, I managed to protect myself and escaped. Could that figure be the vessel?"

Now it was Solomon to go still. He stared at Kagura then said, "That is a very strong possibility. I am also shocked to hear that you managed to protect yourself, how?"

Kagura shook her head, "I wish I knew. He let loose a bolt of Dark Energy at me but I activated my Purification Magic and cancelled out his attack. The next thing I knew, I cast some sort of Light binding spell that bound him then I escaped. I have no idea how I did it. The spells were cast based on pure impulse."

Solomon couldn't believe it. Those spells were advanced and complex. The Purification spell falls under Saint Stage which can purify any and all Darkness and can even destroy demons while the Light spell falls under Arcane Stage. Could these powers also be a result of her opening 'The Elemental Grimoire'? He had a feeling that it was. Returning from his thoughts, he said, "We need to let Lord Diavolo and the others know of your suspicions, but let's finish looking through the book first."

Kagura nodded. They continued looking through the book before both came upon two pages stuck together. Solomon and Kagura had a feeling that the information behind the stuck pages could be the turning point to the future of the Three Realms. Solomon tried to manually separate the pages, but no matter how hard he tried, the pages remained stuck. The next option was to use magic. Solomon tried to use his magic to separate the sheets but to no avail. After a few minutes, Kagura tried next. She reached over and touched the pages. As she touched the pages, a flicker of memory she lost came back to her. She was sitting in what looked to be a living room holding out her hand as if to summon something. 'Veni foras!' she shouted and a strange book appeared in her hand. As she looked closer at the book, she saw that the book was the Lost Grimoire. Kagura's eyes flew open as the memory resurfaced.

"Solomon, I think I know what to do."

Holding the two pages between her fingers, Kagura said, "Veni foras, revelere! Come forth and reveal!" Seconds later, a silvery white glow suddenly surrounded the two pages slowly separating them. When the pages separated, Kagura and Solomon saw the hidden page. Reading what was on the hidden page, both were stunned. The location of where the Evil Entity was sealed finally came to light. He was sealed in Hell, the Realm that lay deep below the Devildom.

"So Hell exists too." Kagura said without much surprise.

"Yes, it definitely exists. This information is very important. We need to let Lord Diavolo know immediately. The future of the Three Realms lies in this information. Come, let's go." Solomon said, taking the book as he stood up.

Kagura nodded. "Now I know that the Battle really existed as well as the Evil Entity. But Solomon, are we allowed to take this book from the Archives?"

Solomon said, "The time has come to reveal this information to Lord Diavolo. As I've said, the Archmage entrusted this book to me before his death and had told me to reveal it to Lord Diavolo and Michael when the Awakening is upon us. The Evil Entity is already half-awake. To stop his full awakening, we need to destroy His body that lies in Hell."

Kagura looked at Solomon for a moment then said, "I understand the urgency but if we think logically wouldn't the Evil Entity be making other plans before he Resurrects? Even if he still lies in Hell, what about the part of Him that may be in the Human Realm? For His Resurrection to fully succeed, he may be planning something for the Human Realm, the Devildom, and the Celestial Realm. Wouldn't that take priority? From what I've read about Evil Entities in books, that is something they would do first."

Solomon went still. That thought never crossed his mind. He was used to solutions that would serve as the most immediate answer. He had never thought outside the box. Kagura was keener then most humans and there was something unique and special about her as well. It wasn't because she was the descendant of Lilith that made her unique and special. There was something else about her that made her a rare human among the many humans out there.

"Kagura, you have very keen intuition. That thought had never crossed my mind. If what you say is true, then something even bigger is about to happen. It looks as if we have to rethink our priorities. The book will still go to Lord Diavolo. Michael needs to be told about it too. Let's return to the Castle quickly."

Kagura nodded, and then she remembered the Chimera. "What about the Chimera? We can't leave it as it is."

Solomon stared, "You're concerned about the Chimera when we have other things that take top priority?"

Kagura looked at Solomon and said, "You know full well that we can't leave the Chimera like that. It still has its responsibilities."

Solomon sighed, "Kagura, your kind nature is going to bite you behind your back some day, but I do agree with you. The Chimera guards the Archives so it must return to its rightful station. All right, we'll take care of this then return to the Castle."

Kagura nodded.

Solomon and Kagura returned to where the Chimera was and saw that it was still under the effects of the sleep spell. As Solomon released the Chimera from the spell, it growled at them then tried to attack, only to find itself bound. Struggling futilely, the Chimera gave up and bowed its head in submission. Looking at the defeated Chimera, Kagura felt awful. Before Solomon could do or say anything, Kagura walked up to the Chimera and hugged it. The Chimera froze in surprise then sniffed at the human who was hugging it with its two heads. The scent that came from her was comforting and soothing. A warm, golden aura radiated from the human as well, calming the Chimera's pounding heart. Seconds later, both heads nuzzled her. Solomon stared in stunned amazement. What in the Three Realms is going on?

Kagura started when the two heads of the Chimera nuzzled her, but quickly recovered, "I'm sorry for binding you. I'm also sorry that my friend put you to sleep. But we needed to use the Archives in order to find information that could save the Three Realms. Please forgive us. I'll unbind you now." Stepping back slightly, Kagura started to chant, "Guardian of the Archives, I unbind thee. Solvite! Unbind!" As Kagura finished her chant the invisible vines that bound the Chimera were released and the creature was free once more.

"We thank you Child of the Human Realm for freeing us. We apologize as well. We had long sensed that there was no ill intent from either of you, but the Young Lord had given us strict orders to guard the Archives from humans because the secrets within can bring imbalance to both the Devildom and the Human Realm."

Kagura started as she stared at the Chimera. The Chimera's eyes from both its heads had turned wise and intelligent. Did the Chimera just use telepathy to communicate with me? Deciding to test it, she returned to the Chimera and closed her eyes, sending out her thoughts.

"Guardian of the Archives, I fully understand. I have no intention of revealing any of these secrets and want to thank you for letting us use the Archives."

"You are very welcome Child. We are surprised you have the ability to communicate mind-to mind. You are a rare human. We also sense that you carry the blood of an angel within you. The warm, golden aura we felt when you hugged us was the power of the Angel's Blessing."

Kagura went still with shock. Looking back at the Chimera, she thought, "How is that possible? I know I have magical powers, but I also carry the blood of an angel? I am a human, not an angel."

"Yes, Child, you are human but you also have angel blood in you. We know not how this came to be, but the one called Solomon the Sorcerer may know. He is your companion is he not?"

"You know my companion, Solomon the Sorcerer?"

"Everyone knows of him Child. Not just the demons and angels, but also creatures like us that dwell in the Shadows. Now Child, return to him. Do you not have something to do? We must return to our post, but if you ever need our aid, we will come to you. All you have to do is summon us. The Chimera is a Creature of Darkness and were created from Darkness. You will know how to summon us when the time comes. Goodbye for now."

With that said, the Chimera flickered then disappeared leaving her with Solomon once again. Before Kagura could process how she managed to communicate telepathically with the Chimera, Solomon grabbed her and hugged her tight, trembling in relief. "You little idiot, don't ever scare me like that again."

"I'm sorry Solomon," Kagura said hugging him back, "I didn't mean to scare you. Something strange just happened between the Chimera and me. It communicated with me telepathically. I heard its thoughts in my mind then communicated with it telepathically as well. How and when did I develop telepathic skills? In addition, when we were talking, it told me I have angel blood within me. How is that possible? I am a human not an angel."

Solomon stared at Kagura in stunned silence when she told him that she had communicated with the Chimera telepathically before quickly recovering. Giving Kagura a long look, he said, "I do not know Kagura. Your powers are developing and evolving at a shocking rate that is beyond comprehension. I do not know what to tell you. Maybe Lord Diavolo and the others may know something. We need to let them know. As to your second question, you remember Lilith, right?"

Kagura nodded. "She is the Demon Brothers' late sister. What has she got to do with me having angel blood?"

"Lilith was actually an angel so were her brothers before they fell from the Celestial Realm during the Great Celestial War. The War started when Lilith broke the rules of the Celestial Realm. While living with her sickly lover in the Human Realm, Lilith gave him Celestial Realm food to save him. When Michael found out, he was furious and punished Lilith. This made the Brothers furious and they fought with Michael and the Celestial Army. During the Battle, Lilith was killed. As punishment for going against the Celestial Realm, the Brothers were banished from the Celestial Realm and ended up in the Devildom where they became Demons. In Bible terminology, they had become Fallen Angels except Satan. He was born from Lucifer's wrath when Lucifer fell from the Celestial Realm."

Kagura stared at Solomon in shock. "Oh, wow…so that's the truth behind the Demon Brothers. You said Satan was born from Lucifer's wrath. Does that mean he is the only "true" demon? And this Lucifer, which of the Brothers is he?"

"To answer your first question, the answer is yes. Satan is the only "true" demon. As to your second question, Lucifer is the oldest of the Brothers. He represents Pride. The one with the dark hair and ruby colored eyes is Lucifer."

Kagura nodded, "I see. Thanks for telling me Solomon. I have a feeling that the next memory I would probably regain would be my connection to Lucifer, but that can come later. For now, we have other things to do. Let's return to the Castle."

Solomon nodded. "Let's go."

Solomon and Kagura soon left the Archives and RAD returning to the main road that led back to the Castle. However, before they could go any further, they heard a huge explosion coming from Downtown.

"What was that?!" Kagura asked shocked.

Solomon looked just as shocked as Kagura. "I don't know but it doesn't sound good. I need to check it out. You go on ahead. Here's the book. You must get this book to Lord Diavolo no matter what."

Before Kagura could say anything, Solomon disappeared with a blinding flash of light. When the light subsided, Solomon was gone.

You reckless idiot! Kagura shouted silently. She wanted to follow Solomon, but she knew that he would not have wanted her to follow him. He had entrusted The Book to Kagura and had told her it must get to Lord Diavolo no matter what. Closing her eyes, Kagura sent out a silent prayer for Solomon's safety before making her way back to Diavolo's Castle.

Meanwhile, back at the Castle, Diavolo was having his Meeting with the Angels and the Demon Brothers. Looking at Satan, the Demon Prince said seriously, "Satan, I have not forgotten what you did to Lucifer before you went to the Human Realm. What you did was close to treason. I have told the Angels, and like your Brothers, they did not want me to imprison you either. Taking into consideration your Brothers' pardon and the Angels' request, I will not imprison you but place you under House Arrest. You will return to the House of Lamentation and stay there until I decide to release you. Is this punishment acceptable?"

Satan knew that this was going to happen. He had told his Brothers that he would take whatever punishment Lord Diavolo has for him when they returned to the Devildom. Standing up, Satan bowed respectfully and said, "I shall accept this punishment, Lord Diavolo. It is no less to what I deserve."

Lord Diavolo nodded before turning to Barbatos. "Barbatos, please escort Satan to the House of Lamentation. He shall be placed under House Arrest until further notice. Once you have Satan secured, return to the Castle."

Barbatos bowed respectfully, "As you command, My Lord."

Turning to Satan, Barbatos said, "Lord Satan, if you would follow me."

Nodding, Satan backed respectfully away from Lord Diavolo before following Barbatos as he escorted him back to the House of Lamentation.

After they arrived, Satan went into his room. After making sure Satan was secured, Barbatos cast a spell on the House of Lamentation so Lord Diavolo could monitor Satan's movements. After he completed the spell, Barbatos returned to the Castle. Returning to the Conference Hall, he reported to Lord Diavolo, "My Lord, Lord Satan has been secured. I have also cast a spell on the House of Lamentation so that My Lord can monitor Lord Satan's movements."

"Thank you Barbatos."

Looking back at the others, Lord Diavolo said, "I'm sorry that I had to do that to Satan but he cannot go unpunished."

Lucifer wasn't happy about it but he understood why Lord Diavolo had to do it. It was also for Satan's own good. "I do not like it but I understand why you made this decision. Satan needs to reflect on his actions."

"I'm glad you understand Lucifer. I hope the others understand too."

Levi nodded, "We understand as well."

"I'm glad to hear that Leviathan."

Turning back to the rest of the Demon Brothers and the Angels, Lord Diavolo said, "Returning to our Meeting Agenda, the first item I want to talk about is the reappearance of The Elemental Grimoire. As we know, the Grimoire disappeared after Archmage Talmar died during the aftermath of our Battle. With his death, the Grimoire disappeared. Solomon and I, along with my people searched for it for centuries but it was never found. Now it has returned centuries later and reappeared before Kagura. That is the most shocking news of all. When she was picked as the other human for my Exchange Program, I never expected something like this to happen."

Lucifer said, "It was unexpected. When Kagura first came to the Devildom, her only purpose was to study here for one year, but after involving herself in things that was of no concern to her, her purpose here changed. She not only changed the Devildom and our way of life, but had also changed my brothers and I. Now she has become someone very special. After losing her memories and gaining powers beyond our comprehension, her purpose here changed again. Could this new purpose be related to the Lost Grimoire? The Grimoire holds secrets that even we do not know of. I think it somehow became a catalyst that led to what has been happening. That is my suspicion."

Lord Diavolo frowned thoughtfully. "You may be right Lucifer. It's a very logical point. Barbatos, what do you think?"

"My Lord, I think Lord Lucifer has a point there as well. The Lost Grimoire is the Grimoire of the Human Realm. Kagura may be the reason it reappeared again. She has great powers and has the blood of angels running through her veins. If the Grimoire is a catalyst then it may have chosen Kagura for something or her Destiny is somehow linked to the Grimoire."

The Demon Brothers went still as they looked at Barbatos in stunned silence. A few minutes later, Lucifer broke the silence and said, "Barbatos, did you see something of Kagura's future?"

Barbatos looked at Lucifer gravely, "Lord Lucifer, you know full well that visions of the Future cannot be revealed no matter one could see it or not. I do not know what Kagura's future holds, and even if I did, I cannot reveal it. What happens in the Future will happen. We cannot change the Future. That is forbidden as it would affect the flow of time. All I can tell you Lord Lucifer is that I feel as if Kagura has something important to do, but I do not know what. Only the Grimoire knows and Kagura."

Before Lucifer could say anything, the doors to the Conference Hall opened and a Little D appeared. The Little D ran toward Lord Diavolo and said, "My Lord! We have an Emergency! The Downtown area is currently under attack. A group of undead wraiths have materialized in the Devildom and are rampaging. They are leaving Destruction in their wake, turning everything into dust."

The whole room was shocked into silence. Lord Diavolo straightened up, breaking the stunned silence, his face grim, "What of the residents? Are they okay?"

"They are fine thanks to Solomon. He is currently in the area. I do not know if he would be able to handle the wraiths on his own."

Lucifer went into a panic. Kagura! Forcing calmness he didn't feel, Lucifer asked the Little D, "Is Kagura with him? What of Kagura?"

Turning to Lucifer, the Little D replied, "Lady Kagura is not with him Lord Lucifer. I did not see her."

Lady Kagura? Lucifer thought with amazement. Kagura, what in the Three Realms did you do to the Little Ds? Lucifer shook his head. Now was not the time to think about that. Feeling only half relieved, he continued, "Do you know where she is?"

"I'm sorry Lord Lucifer. I do not know."

Before Lucifer could ask anything else, another Little D appeared in the Conference Hall. Looking at Lord Diavolo it said, "My Lord, two more groups of undead wraiths has been spotted not too far away from the House of Lamentation and Purgatory Hall. The whole area is in Chaos."

Now Lord Diavolo looked worried. Turning to Barbatos, he said, "Barbatos, I need you to check up on Satan at the House of Lamentation. Is he still in the House?"

Barbatos made a quick gesture and a scrying mirror appeared in his hands before he started to chant, ""I, Barbatos call upon the powers that I command. Show me the convicted one. Satan, Avatar of Wrath!" The scrying mirror's dull surface glowed with a bright light. When the light subsided, Satan was shown within the mirror. He was in his room engrossed in a book, not noticing anything else besides his book.

The Brothers shook their heads. Even under House Arrest, Satan was still Satan. A few minutes later, Barbatos moved his hand over the mirror's surface and the mirror went dull once more.

"My Lord, Lord Satan is still in the House. Do you think we need to let him know of the current situation?"

Lord Diavolo shook his head, "From what Lucifer told me about those wraiths, they pose a threat to us. It's too dangerous for one demon to take on a group of those things. Once Lucifer arrives with the rest of the Brothers, they can work together to defeat those things."

Barbatos nodded, "As you wish My Lord."

Turning to Lucifer, Lord Diavolo said, "I want you to take your Brothers and return to the House of Lamentation. When you get there, I want you to tell Satan of the current situation then take care of those wraiths."

"Yes, Lord Diavolo."

Turning to Simeon, Lord Diavolo continued, "Simeon, I want you to return to Purgatory Hall to take care of the group there. I'm sorry for making you fight once again. You've retired from fighting after we made peace with the Celestial Realm centuries ago, but a new threat has appeared, and we need your help once more."

"There is no need to apologize Lord Diavolo. There is a new threat now and I must return to being an archangel if it means the safety and stability of the Celestial Realm and the Devildom. So, I will take up arms once more."

"Thank you Archangel Simeon."

Turning to Luke, Lord Diavolo said, "Luke, I want you to return to the Celestial Realm and report to Michael on what has happened. Simeon will need the aid of the Celestial Army, but only Michael is authorized to give the order."

Luke nodded, "As you wish Lord Diavolo. I will let Michael know and bring aid as soon as possible."

"Thank you, Angel Luke."

Turning to Simeon, Luke said, "Simeon, please be extra careful. I will return as soon as possible."

"Thank you, Luke. I'll be careful. Come back soon."

Luke nodded then disappeared in a flash of angelic light.

Turning to Lord Diavolo, Simeon said, "Then I'll be on my way as well," before he flickered then disappeared.

Flickering into his demon form, Lord Diavolo commanded his Seven Lords, "Go my Seven Lords and eliminate the new threat. I will follow soon. The future of the Devildom lies in our hands."

The Demon Brothers flickered into their demon forms in unison and said, "As Your Majesty commands," before one by one they flickered and disappeared."

Before Diavolo and Barbatos, also in demon form could follow, a third Little D appeared before them. "My Lord, there is more trouble. A third group of the undead wraiths has reached the outskirts of the Castle. Among them are two shadowy figures that seem to hold a vast amount of power."

Lord Diavolo and Barbatos went even grimmer. Both were thinking the same thing, the Devildom was under attack. The attack was premeditated so no one knew of it until the Little Ds made their report. They also knew that because this was a premeditated attack, they did not have time to send for reinforcements from the Sorcerers Guild. Will the Celestial Army come in time? They did not know. For now, they were on their own. Returning from their grim thoughts, Lord Diavolo asked the Little D, "Do you know what the figures looked like? Either their height or something noticeable about them?"

The Little D thought for a minute then shook its head. "Nothing was noticeable, but they did seem to have the same height as you, My Lord and you, Lord Barbatos."

Lord Diavolo and Barbatos looked at the Little D in stunned disbelief. "Are you sure?" This came from Barbatos.

The Little D nodded.

Lord Diavolo looked at the Little D and said, "Take us to the outskirts of the Castle now. We must find out the truth."

The Little D nodded, "As My Lord commands."
