Chapter 01 Dream

A story present for a very good friend of mine here on FF. :) WhiteRed1410.

Intro: Nick Wilde learns about the legend of Robin Hood (Walt Disney version). Upon further research, he finds out his resemblance to Robin is not only in looks but in legend and biology.

Info: My OC characters of: Larry Wilde, Benny Squint and Little Loco won't be involved with this tale.

It was a lovely spring morning. Nick Wide and Judy Hopps just finished another day of police work and walked together down the street to go home.

"This was one interesting case," Judy smiled, "A wolf trying to steal a security box from the bank, oh well he got now caught and we can rest."

"Mh." Nick thought.

The case was a bit bothersome for Nick, the wolf they had captured that morning spoke about not being able to make ends meet and that he was trying to take care of his large family via stealing.

Somehow to Nick, the steal from the 'rich' to feed the poor reminded him of someone. But whom?

Nick froze, he kinda had an idea, "Sorry Judy. But I got to do something else today. I'll see you tomorrow."

Judy stopped and noticed Nick turning around, letting her drive their car back home.

"Um... ok Nick, I'll see you tomorrow then." Judy blinked.

Judy left for home and Nick headed to the Zootopian museum of history.

Once Nick reached the museum he paid for his entry and walked around the exhibitions. They showed large mammoths, various bones of deceased animals, and sculptures of others, but the time period Nick was most interested in was the 13th-century exhibition.

He reached it a short while later and saw various animals that had been dug up from graves displayed around the place and animals from this time period guessing what their names might have been and what they'd done.

A lion was propped up and dressed as the king, of course, was actually even named as: King Richard the 3rd.

But it didn't say from where he was King of, most likely not America, Nick guessed.

He chuckled and looked around further. He came to the statue or body?, of the person, he was looking for. There were two statues standing next to each other, their names were: Robin of the Hood and Marien Fitzwalter of the Hood.

Nick blinked and looked at the skeletal remains of this animal, it was clearly a fox skeleton next to a vixen skeleton. Very strange.

Nick wandered further and found a stone tablet with something un-readable scribbled all over it. Luckily there was also sort of an American translation of it:

"Here lies the body of the traitor, outlaw, bandit and crook, Robin of the Hood Sherwood." and then a second tablet: "Here lies the body of the relative of King Richard the 3rd Lionheart, Maid Marian Fitzwalter. The beloved mate of Robin of the Hood Sherwood."

"I see," Nick whispered, looking at the two foxes.

He walked to a bench and continued looking at them, a box further from the foxes duo Nick saw a very old bow and arrows also on display, named as Robin's tools of the trade. Along with other weapons, and disguises they assumed he had worn in the past.

Nick chuckled a bit but was feeling rather tired. He left the museum, keeping Robin in the back of his mind until he got home.
