I DO NOT OWN AZUR LANE AND RWBY; THEY BELONG TO THEIR RESPECTIVE OWNERS.

Fast forward a few days later...

The last few days had been hectic around the island. Everything that needed replacing were being replaced immediately and into working order; since they didn't want faulty equipment to cost them everything that they had on the island itself. Around the clock, radar operators had their eyes glued on the screen, calling out any aircraft that may come in their way, most of them just passing the edge of the radar screen, meaning they were flying far from the island itself. Surface-to-air missile emplacements were also on high alert, working in conjunction with radars and patrolling aircraft up in the sky. Sonar operators that were manning and monitoring the underwater microphones were doing their job to make sure to report each and every unknown sound they have heard over the microphones. Everyone, may they be radar or sonar operators, were to record and report on what they had heard or what they had seen; may that be a ladybug-sized reading or a bloop on the sea; they were to record and report their findings, and both he and the girls would do the rest.

Meanwhile, the shipgirls were stocking up on their ammunition and equipment, making sure that they have everything locked and loaded when the shit hits the fan and everything goes sideways. They had to triple-check their ships and their gear, making sure that they are on tip-top order and would work when the fight comes to them. The manjuus were nearly working non-stop, replacing anything that needed replacing, no matter how small it is; and making sure that anything that also needed repairs would also get their needed repairs. Oil drums, torpedoes, and artillery shells were going left, right and center to their respective factions, the ones responsible for the organization and distribution of these essential ammunition and equipment were already doing their very best to give it equally to everyone. Cranes on the docks were helping to hoist brand-new guns and upgraded armor for every equipment they had; from the casemates needed for the guns to the reload hoists that loaded the shells onto the breech and straight to the barrel. This was a all-hands-on-deck operation, and everyone needed to be on their best when the time comes.

Meanwhile, Jaune was coordinating with every single branch of the military presence he had on the island itself. He put himself personally on the forefront of military affairs and made sure every single soldier and vehicle had been checked, fueled and armed, ready for the upcoming fights ahead. Manpower-wise, he had more men and firepower than what Atlas had; he may not have flying airships, oversized guns or fancy-schmancy superpowers, but he and his men had sheer grit and firepower to overcome any obstacle; besides, you couldn't find more experienced soldiers that fought both monster and human, the two things that were always prevalent during the Human-Siren War. Of course, they also had copied the tactics that the Sirens had during their fights and learned quite a lot from them, since there were some tactics that actually worked and were both tried and tested by both sides. Together with augmenting reverse-engineered Siren technology was also a bonus for everyone.

The Special Recon Squadron for example, are physically-augmented and highly-experienced soldiers with tons of combat experience accumulated over the years they had been at war. They are the epitome of special forces soldiers, utilizing both their equipment and surroundings to defeat enemies hiding anywhere within the battlefield. They have single-handedly turned the tide of war and made sure the victory goes to the human race. After the war, every single member of the squadron was disavowed and left to rot in the streets of the world; being all too overpowered and such, and they were a secretive part of the Azur Lane military, so they could not be revealed to the public. Fortunately, most and if not all of the squadron were recruited back by Jaune before the transfer, doing what they did best, as they were the first ones that built the FOBs on the surroundings island nearest to the mainland. They were also the ones that trained and equipped their fellow brethren, shaping them into the Pilots they are today. Besides, riding in one big robot called a Titan was also pretty cool in of itself.

The bases were also pretty packed with soldiers and vehicles driving around, arranging and passing both arms and ammunition to their fellow soldiers, refueling trucks going around from the oil storage tanks to the runway and back again; fueling everything from the fighter jets and helicopters to their fellow trucks and the armored vehicles they would be using in the future. Boxes were being moved from the warehouses to the waiting vehicles, ready to pass them to the other troops that might still need to stock up on their equipment and fuel. Drums of both fuel and water were also being loaded on the trucks along with everything else that could be loaded and not fall over on the roads when the truck comes in.

Now, what happed to the world while he was gone...

According to the ELINT specialists that hacked into the CCT and in turn, Atlas' communications, a fleet of massive airships was stationed just above the Kingdom of Vale, with a substantial force of robots and human soldiers led by Headmaster/General James Ironwood himself. It seems that he has been talking to both Arcadia (who wanted the heads of all the people that tortured and bullied him, especially the ones that led to his death) and the Vale Council (who are the bunch of pricks that are protecting Beacon's students and the ones that killed him indirectly), trying to at lest come to a compromise, since the Arcadian Military was on full alert, and the politics of his death and transcripts were really boring him to death.

I mean, he was a prince of Arcadia, and if some royalty died (especially one that the people adored) would really cause an uproar in the country where said prince was from. Don't get him wrong; Arcadia was not in any way small, and its military would give Atlas a run for its own money, but all of Arcadia in full battle readiness meant full-scale war was just right around the corner, and General Ironwood really did not want to happen. There was also the fact that a virus was found in the CCT, implanted by some outside source that accessed the terminals, but were erased by the hacking team that were tied to the ELINT specialists in the first place, so that was one future problem gone. Though the question remained, who was the one the planted it?

Besides that, he was going to be noticed one way or another, and that was why his forces were already reinforcing their positions; the units they could spare would be used as Rapid Reaction Forces; that consisting mostly on the Russian Airborne forces, numbering sixty-thousand soldiers led by Sofia Pavlovna, and the United States Marine Corps, numbering one-hundred eighty thousand soldiers with thirty-seven thousand in reserve, led by Medal of Honor recipient and the right-hand man of the late Fleet Admiral, General Miles Quaritch.

These forces would be on constant alert, and when the time comes, they would be deployed in the first operations against both the people and the wildlife of this godforsaken world. But for now, it would just be on standby but ready to deploy.

As he got back to his office, he stood at the middle of the room for a minute and took a breather; it was late in the afternoon and nearly everything was done. The last of the fighter jets and AWACS that took off this morning just got back to base and would be needing a full diagnostic and physical test just in case. He took off his cap, placed it on the table and went to the bathroom; washing his face on the sink as he took another set of breaths. It wasn't really adding up; all of his manpower and equipment just transported in a blink of an eye without anyone knowing? He knew the Sirens were not up to this; they didn't have the technology to do it; they were strong, but they were not THAT strong. He then wiped his face and got back to sitting on his chair, thinking about what he should do next.

Eyeing his drawer, he opened it and took out a small piece of electronic hardware and opened it; it was his old scroll that got transported with him; and it still had full battery. If he was going to do it, he needed to do it know what, fuck it...He knew Atlas would see the discrepancies and know something is up in the seas; might as well call someone, as at least he has the luxury to do it. Besides, he needed allies, and he needed to at least have an ally to fall back on when Atlas and/or Vale might not agree with them.

As soon as he tried to call, his Scroll rang; it was one of his sisters; Diana. She was a seasoned huntress and one of the only people that supported his dream of being a huntsman. She was calling him, but why? Maybe she missed him and just wanted to listen to his voice one more time? Or was it something else? Nevertheless, he took a deep breath and answered the call, ready for anything that might happen as he placed the phone near his ear.

"Hello? Who is this?" She spoke, her voice clearly evident that she had been crying for the past few hours.

"Um, hi...Diana...it's me, Jaune..." He said, his voice a bit raspy and his eyes a bit teary; it really had been a long time since he saw her.

"Wait, Jaune? I mean...how do I know this is Jaune I'm talking to?" She stated, her voice a bit more serious.

"Let's see...you really liked strawberry shortcakes and always wanted to buy a lot of them; you always were headstrong but still had a girly attitude, you have a life-sized plushy in your room which was my gift to you...and -"

"Okay, okay...it's really you...little bro..." She replied, happy to hear his voice again. He then switched to face-to-face mode and full screen, in which she, for the first time after his supposed death, saw his brother.

"Mom and dad's got to see this, wait a sec." Before he could say anything, she ran somewhere around the castle, and after several seconds reached the dining room, where his mother, father, and siblings were seated, eating their respective food.

"Diana, what is it?" The voice of his mother, Juniper Arc, resounded over the table and she handed her the phone and placing it on full screen. The mother went teary-eyed when she saw him, and placed the scroll on the table, turning the screen into a holographic one that floated on the table. His mom covered her mouth as tears let out of her eyes, while his father, John Arc, was surprised to see him in the flesh, but his appearance was different. The sisters were not far from their mother's reaction, surprised and happy that their baby brother is alive and well.

"It's him...Mom, Dad..." Diana said, new tears threatening to leak out of her eyes. "Speak, Jaune."

"Hi, Mom and Dad...It's been a long time since I've seen you, more or less three decades or so." The parents and sisters were surprised at that; what happened to their son? "It's been a very hard time for me as I always thought about you, even in my last dying breath. I did die when my team left me in the Grimmlands. But, I got transported to another world and fought a war against a foe numerically and technologically superior than me and my troops combined. So then, I am here now, with all of my troops in tow...and I need your help."

"Anything, son...Whatever you need." John immediately replied, ready to help his son; the mother having the same feeling.

"I am going to meet you two days from now, and I wanted to let you know that. At least I can have an ally in this brand-new world and make sure that they are all taken care for. I don't trust any of the Kingdoms for this, so at least you know that. Do not tell everyone yet that I am alive; I am entrusting that secret to all of you right now. Is there any place where we can meet secretly?"

The father thought about it for a second before answering. "The private villa by the coast; that should be enough privacy for us not for people to be privy."

"Alright, I'll see you in two days, Dad...Love you all, and take care."

"You too, little bro." Diana said as the call ended.

The table had been quiet since then, and now, the peace had been broken among every single one of them.

"What do we do, mom?" The youngest of the Arc sisters, Jane, asked.

"We will all go to the villa. Pack you bags in advance, and make sure you do it secretly. I'll tell the retainers that we will all be going to a vacation in the coastal villa, as we will go there tomorrow..." The mother said before the father continued it.

"And at least we can prepare everything in advance inside the villa. I'll take a select number of guards; ones we all know and trust, and at least anticipate his arrival. There should be a small wharf in front, so we'll know what to expect." The father continued.

"Alright, so after eating, go to your rooms, pack your bags, and make sure everything is good to go, is that understood?"

"Yes, ma'am!"

The Arc family was ready to meet their beloved son/little brother once again.

Back at Headquarters, he had already been in bed, resting for the day after the call. He knew it was a risk, but it was a risk he was willing to take for now.

"Sire...Are you sure it was a good idea?" Belfast asked, knowing what he had just done.

"We need somebody we can trust, Belfast...It is only a matter of time before any of the Kingdoms, especially Atlas, would find out about us, and I don't like my troops being used for nothing than being cannon fodder."

"Understood sire.." She replied as she went for the door, going in for the night. "Goodnight, Commander."

"Goodnight, Belfast." As the lights faded out of existence, Jaune, for once, had a very good sleep, hoping for the best that is to come.

So, to clarify some things: One, there will be multiple crossovers from other franchises, but it still will be Azur Lane and RWBY-centric; the crossovers I have are some supporting characters, but the shipgirls will take the spotlight most of the time...while the others will be either cheering or supporting them from the sidelines...Of course, all these technology they have are derived and reverse-engineered from the Sirens, just like what humanity would actually do in times like these, especially during the Cold War.

And so, happy reading, and any and all critics and reviews are highly appreciated!
