Hi!! I've gotten quite a few comments on other stories, and I just wanted to say thank you for them. I realize I am late to the party, but I really have enjoyed writing with these characters, so thanks for reading!! Also, this group has incredible stories, so thank you for writing those! They have been keeping me busy!
These are just going to be unconnected one-shots. Most likely fluffy as I am not the best at writing Angsty stuff. So... here ya go!
The Conference Room:
"We should remind them that the GLASS conference room isn't soundproofed," Jim said to Maggie and Neil as the three of them stood by Neil's desk and watched their bosses animatedly scream at each other.
"Oh, fuck you MacKenzie," Will yelled, and rolled his eyes. Maggie, Neil, and Jim all just stared— like it was a dumpster fire, or car accident or something terrible that had them morbidly transfixed.
MacKenzie, gesturing wildly with her hands says something, but just a little too quiet for the crowd outside to hear before almost yelling, "I take 98% of the responsibility, not 100%."
"Ha!" Will laughed bitterly, "That's right MacKenzie, I've heard that one before."
Jim, really bothered by the fact that they had gathered a crowd, wanted nothing more than to go and yell at them. But also how had Will and MacKenzie not yet realized they had become the main exhibit at the aquarium?
"First of all, I'm the EP. Don't slip--"
"I'm the managing editor and I don't need your permission--"
"This is getting out of hand," Jim looked at Maggie who had, at some point, gotten a bag of chips.
"Want one?" She held out the bag. Jim took one and frowned.
"Yes, you do, and you didn't ask for it 'cause you knew you wouldn't get it." MacKenzie took a step closer to Will, and said something about something—
"What did she say?" Neil leaned in and asked Maggie.
"I think she said something about the parade of women he's been bringing in," Maggie munched on a chip— this is why she didn't need to pay for cable.
"Oh I definitely don't need your permission for that! You CHEATED on ME!"
"For Christ sake, Billy!" MacKenzie ran a hand threw her hair, "Are you in or are you out?"
Instead of responding, Will closed the space between them, grabbed her face, and kissed her.
Jim looked panicked as the entire newsroom started hooping and hollering in celebration. Neil whistled as Maggie started cheering loudly. Jim was still freaking out because he was the boss that could have and should have told everyone to go back to work or told Will and Mac to find a more private place.
Will and MacKenzie, once they had pulled apart (which went on much too long for Jim's liking), came out of the conference room. One looking sheepish, the other irritated at the scene that they had created.
"Don't you all have jobs to do?" Will snapped, but the smile on his face giving him away, as they walked towards his office
Jim yelled, "Your office is made of glass, too!"
Will looked at Jim frustrated, "Oh go kiss Maggie or something!"
