While they didn't know much about her one think was for sure. Duni is fast, incredibly fast. The only one who could really keep up with her was Kasi and she had to slow down to detect the others. Vitani was out of breath and barely keeping pace with the crew, this didn't bother her much though, she was the slowest among them so it didn't suprise her much. She looked up for a second and gazed into the setting sun. She reminded herself why she was, what she was doing in the first place. To learn about herself. She stopped to catch her breath, looking back at the sun she asked herself if this is truly worth it.

"Yes. Yes this is. I don't care how long it takes, I'm learning about my past." Taking a deep breath she looked back forward. She leaped forward. Running as fast as her exhausted legs could carry her. As the Duni lead them into a twisty cavern the sun's light becoming harder and harder to see. Imara stumbled on a rock tumbling in front of Vitani.

" I'm good just go!" The lioness said to Vita's suprise. The others soon slowed their pace. Whether it was out of tire or not wanting to tumble like the brute that Imara was. The only minus Kasi was Tazama. Vitani followed closely behind, track as best as she could.

Eventually the walls around them ceased and the little light that was still being admitted by the sinking sun lit the path of the pursuit. It also lit the canyon that was right ahead of them. Kasi slowed along with Tazama." I don't think I'm gonna make that!" Kasi said her speed ever decreasing.

" Well I can." Vita'said somewhat confident in her jumping skills." Okay we'll find away around." Tazama said before her and Kasi screech to a stop Zahara following suit. It was just her Duni now. As the lioness leaped over the trench, tumbling aimlessly before getting back on her feet and dash ahead. Vitani held her breath and made the leap. Landing on her feet albeit with incredible pain.

That wasn't on her mind, at least not right now. What was on her mind was how much longer she could keep this up. She was getting exhausted and her legs felt like giving in, they haven't stopped yet though and the thought that at least some answers could be given about her lack of any information on her past Mom, dad, past one gave her beaten paws a little more strength to keep chugging.

And her efforts would pay off, Duni couldn't run for any longer. Her legs giving in and her body crashing into the ground before tumbling into a far from grace full stop.

Vitani slowed down natural, her paws all, but blisters at this point, skidding wouldn't aid that at all. Circling back around to Duni and finally stopping above what she still doubt to be her sister. Taking a look at Duni she couldn't deny they had an uncanny resemblance, and while yes Vitani did look Like almost any other lion, it was the eyes that confirmed it for her. Although it was hard to see them clearly as the tears in her eyes made it hard to see the detail. Vitani shoved her looking for later. She was in pain and she could tell.

" You okay?" Vitani said rather blankly.

" You don't care."

" What makes you think that?"

" Akasi', don't act as if you aren't here to kill me-"

"I'm not."

"Then- then why are you here?"

"To find you."

Duni tried to get back on her feet. Stumbling alittle, she is eventually was able to get her legs steady and took a long look at Vitani.

" Your all grown up now!" She said the emotion clear in her voice."look just like mom."

"Well, but I don't really remember you or, anything about my mom."

" Yeah I guess, everything kind went down long before you or Zahara had any coherent memory."

Duni looked down for a second.

"Is she really dead?" She asked softly.

"As far as I know." Vitani answered truthfully.

Duni sighed." I still remember the day I gave you to her. I was sick, tired, and I thought that, if I could give you to. Someone that you would be better

off." Duni said somberly.

" Well I'm not sure if I'm better off, but I'm not mad you."

"Very kind of you, but that still doesn't answer why you came looking for me."

" I just- I want to know more about, well a lot of things, but mainly what happened, why I keep having nightmares of-"

" Fire,'Kuibiwa na kamwe kurudi'?"

Vitani nodded silently.

" Yeah, I've had similar terrors, not as bad as yours though. I know that for sure." Duni said sitting down and staring into the moon as it peaked over the dark horizon." I don't really know how, or if you coped with it."

" Waking up early seemed to work, so you don't have stress over that at least."

Duni stared at her sister." Thank you. For forgiving me about- well everything! I'm Zira didn't-" she paused." Sorry I shouldn't say that, she was basically your adoptive mom and she raised you into a good fighter at least."

Vitani didn't respond, as much as didn't like to think about it to much, she missed Zira. She did horrible things and damaged more than she has yet realized, but the memories and experiences she had because of her mom will never leave her mind, no matter how hard she tried. Duni looked at Vitani." Well, it's getting dark. We'll wait for your friends and we can get back in the morning." Duni said." Huh? Uh yeah. Sounds like a plan." Vitani said not fully paying attention. It took her second before what Duni said had hit." Wait your coming with us?"

The lioness giggled." Yeah! You want to learn about what happened to our old kingdom and I'm gonna tell to you. It is a very long story and I don't think you'll settle for a long story short." Duni said her voice lifting in tone. It was clear she was still tired, but at least she had some enthusiasm.

Vitani attempt crack a smile, once again Duni chuckled as Vita' tried and failed to make the smile not look intimidating. Vitani wasn't bothered much. She had found Duni and was finally going to get some closure on her blood family.
