Author's Notes: Hi! Hey, everyone! Yes, I'm back! I am so sorry about dropping off like that, but besides work and getting ready to go back to school—did orientation and I have to tell you walking around campus was like hiking through Las Vegas in near-100 degree heat, but fun—I had also been trying to work on my music video entry as well as the OC bios that would come with it, but then… Well, my attention got grabbed by something else; a few things, really: I got into a series of stories by TheBaneOfHumanity that features a crossover between the worlds of the Transformers cartoons and the worlds of "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and "The Legend of Korra" (I seriously could not put it down), I got into a story by Fergus Flamacron that is a crossover between "Digimon Fusion" and the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy (it's on hiatus currently but I hope picks it up again because I want to know what happens to the Digimon as they help the inhabitants of Middle Earth and I want to find out more about the backstory that Fergus has given Shoutmon), and I also got into a story by surrenderedkitten that is a crossover between "Transformers Prime" and—believe it or not—"Sailor Moon"! I also started watching the Viz Media dub of "Sailor Moon" and got interested. I'm now watching the first season—the one that ran from 1992 to 1993—for the second time, but I haven't moved on to any of the other seasons just yet. That's because I've made up my own group of Sailor Guardians and now, as you can already guess since you're here, I've started on writing a crossover story that is primarily set in the world of "Sailor Moon" and has characters from other worlds and an OC traveling to said world.

Unfortunately, the time I've spent on this has not been without its ups and downs, and on the 1st of July, I had one major down: My paternal grandfather was called up to Heaven. All that was supposed to be done that day was a blood test, but on his way out to the car, my grandfather went into a coronary and collapsed. My dad called security and my grandfather was rushed to the ER…but after 20 minutes, it was over. Worst of all, the doctor had come back with the results saying that my grandfather's medication had to be changed because he was going into heart failure…after my grandfather had died. My grandfather had always been a bit stubborn—he refused to change his phone over from Android and had firmly stated that unless the doctor said otherwise, he would not get a hearing aid—but where he wouldn't give up, his body did. And now, he's happily reunited with my paternal grandmother; I bet they're having a grand old time catching up with each other and filling my Babci and Dziadzi in on what's been going on with me and my family. We held my grandfather's funeral on the 29th of July, and I learned that Grandpa liked getting things done just so, including his garden, so I think it's safe to say if the garden rows in Heaven weren't straight before, they're certainly going to be straighter than ever. Some tears were shed, naturally, but I'm recovering and hopefully the support you show for this new story as well as the others (if you haven't seen them yet) might help in lifting my spirits.

Now, for this prologue, we're not in Sailor Moon's world just yet, so this is more of a "set the stage" chapter where you'll learn where this story is in the grand scheme of things, what has happened, and how certain people are coping with recent events. At this point in time IRL, the fifth and final season of "Stranger Things" has not been released, so certain events are a bit up in the air in regards to how that whole story ends. That being said, this prologue is a bit spoiler-heavy as certain stories set in my fanfic-verse have not been put to digital paper just yet. If you don't want that, then don't read.

I don't own the anime series "Sailor Moon"; that's owned by Toei Animation Co., Ltd (the company who did the first two seasons of the Gen-1 Transformers series and the 1986 movie, the Digimon franchise, and "Dragon Ball"), while the manga that inspired it is owned by Naoko Takeuchi. I also don't own the characters of "Animaniacs (1993 and the reboot)", "Loonatics Unleashed", "Looney Tunes", "Tiny Toon Adventures", "Knight Rider ('82 and 2008)", "Stranger Things", "Rebirth of Mothra", "Godzilla: The Original Animated Series", "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", "Cool World", "Space Jam", "Space Jam 2: A New Legacy", "Hocus Pocus", "The Nightmare Before Christmas", and "Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo" (this is all from the "recapping"); those are all owned by Warner Bros, Glen Larson and Universal, Toho, Hanna-Barbera, and Disney. And I don't own the songs "Smile" by Nat King Cole, "I'm Still Standing" and "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" by Elton John; those belong to their creators. I only own my OCs.

So settle in and prepare to read. Uh, you might also want to grab some tissues just in case; there's some sad stuff in here.

Prologue

A great shadow looms, poised to cover the world in darkness…

A terrible horde, born from a great evil, stands ready to destroy all…

Against this terrible army, all hope fails, all light fades…

But it shall not be.

The clouds part, revealing the celestial silver orb that is the Moon. Standing in its radiant beams are a group of formidable young women; although many are from other places altogether, all are here to fight for the forces of Light.

And now, outnumbered and facing impossible odds, the young women stand strong and shout their battle cry:

"IN THE NAME OF THE MOON, WE WILL PUNISH YOU!"

And TRANSFORM!

"MAKE-UP!"

In a blinding light, the women become clad in sailor uniforms, each possessing a great power which they use to battle their foes.

One uses the might of beasts that are a blend of organic and technology to tear through the hordes.

Two use the power of water to wash away the unclean monsters.

One uses her voice and graceful dance to attract and confuse until she hits a note so high it destroys her enemies.

Fire from one sends a cleansing heat over the evil monsters.

Light from three others brighten the battlefield, blinding the dark forces, one of them also using two blasters to shoot them down.

Two pretty but deadly warriors, a kunoichi and an archer, utilize their weapons to pick off the monsters.

One calls upon the power of thunder to electrocute and decimate her foes.

One uses the forceful but graceful wind to blow away the demons.

Using abilities that she had gained in the past, one is able to manipulate vines covered with an aura, as well as fire an energy attack that resembles her own self that sends the monsters flying.

Various flower scents fill the air as one uses whips and a whirlwind made of flowers to battle.

One possesses the power of darkness as well, but it is different than the darkness that she and her comrades are fighting against; it is the darkness of the sacred night, when feelings of love overflow and beauty is abundant; her blanket of night pacifies then destroys the dark creatures.

One manipulates time to temporarily halt the dark monsters in their tracks, rescuing one of her comrades; the power of the latter is not used often, only in great need, for it is the power to destroy a planet, which drains her life force.

There is one who holds no one power, but can copy and use many of the others' powers; to do this she can also split into copies of herself, outsmarting and outnumbering her foes.

There seem to be more, but who can say?

And finally, the soldiers of evil are destroyed; now it is time to cut the head off the snake.

The two leaders step forward towards the strong evil aura, looks of determination on their faces; they are not afraid to give their lives to stop this evil and save the ones they care about.

The evil being releases its attack…

The two pretty soldiers stand firm…

The dark stream continues to rush forward…

One raises her hand, the other raises a special stick holding a silver jewel; both begin to shine…

Light and dark attacks collide…

There is a familiar screech…

A lion roars…!

And…!

Gina Gojo awoke abruptly, her breaths coming out quickly as the adrenaline rush from the dream she had reached its peak and made her open her eyes.

That was…intense, she thought. I mean, I thought that the nightmare that I had had during the Red Dust Kaiju Invasion and the ones I got from the Upside Down Battles were bad enough, but this…

The young adult female saurian kaiju sighed and got up, being careful not to disturb her still-sleeping family; she certainly wasn't going to be getting back to sleep any time soon.

Why did I have that dream, anyway? What does it even mean? Gina wondered as she walked to the beach; perhaps the sea air might clear her mind.

It did no good; the questions just kept coming:

One of those people in that dream; that was me. Why was I in that outfit?

Some of the others seemed familiar, but who were they?

Who were those human girls?

What was that jewel?

What was that darkness we were facing? Was it some evil in the employ of the Enemy or was it an independent agent? No; no way that the latter is possible. If this dream came before the Las Vegas Incident, then it would be, but no.

Well, at least she had one clear answer, but there were still too many questions! And the worst part was, no-one would be able to know, either… Except maybe…

Mothra…

Gina used her watch to check the calendar, a thought entering her head; she had to have heard Mothra's cry for a reason.

She softly gasped. Tomorrow was the 14th. Had it already been that long? Every time she thought about it, it was like it had occurred yesterday.

It's the earliest I can recall seeing my mom and dad looking so sad, Gina thought, her mind drifting back to that fateful day…

(Flashback)

The Calico raced after the kaiju on its hydrofoils, somehow catching up despite having four kaiju children on board. Zooky, Godzilla II, Minya, and Gina, as well as Vicky and Pete were almost crowding at the bow, their eyes glued to Mothra, who was carrying Leo…and beginning to have trouble remaining airborne.

"She can't stay up much longer," Dr. Darien observed somberly, voicing everyone's thought.

"Aunt Mothra! Cousin Leo!" little Gina cried out, more frightened than she had ever been in her young life.

Her eldest brother held his baby sister tight; he knew the fear she was going through: Wanting to do something to help but too young and vulnerable to do so.

Mothra's altitude began to decline, Leo's tail skimming the water.

"Mother!" Leo screeched, sensing a rapid loss of energy in his parent.

"Mothra!" Lina called out, picking up her pace with her mate not too far behind.

Leo's tail hit the water two more times before the green-eyed male larva was dropped completely. Mothra managed to glide for another 15 seconds before she inevitably ended up in the water, letting out groans from the ocean water lapping at her wounds and weak screeches from how cold the water was.

Everyone on board the Calico gasped at the sight. Luckily, Captain Majors had retained enough sense to bring the ship to a stop as soon as they were close enough before joining the others on the main deck at the bow.

Moll and Lora flew overhead on Fairy, the blue-clad Elias looking desperate while the orange-clad Elias tried to remain stoic.

"Mothra! You must try to fly! Mothra! Please try!" Lora urged, slightly shaking her sister.

Godzilla and Lina had managed to reach the downed Divine Moth before Leo managed to catch up, the female saurian kaiju trying to help her friend and teacher.

"Mothra! You have to get in the air again!" Lina urged.

The Divine Moth tried to say that she couldn't, but ended up shaking her head instead.

"Then we'll get you home ourselves," Lina decided. "We'll get you both home, where you can recuperate."

"We can even get you to Monster Island, if you want," Godzilla suggested, knowing that his grandfather would probably want to see Mothra. "We can come up with a new plan of attack," he added.

There was nothing but gasps and shivers from Mothra.

"Mothra?" Lina queried worriedly.

"Mother?" Leo called. "Mother? What should we do?"

"You know…what you have to do…my brave Leo," Mothra finally spoke. "I'm… I can't…"

"Yes, you can!" Leo argued. "You know more about Desghidorah than we do!"

"As do you, my son," Mothra gently reminded. "You carry the memories of all Mothras before you."

"I know that! But…but there's… I…"

"Leo?" Lina asked, concerned for the larva.

"I can't remember it all!" Leo screeched in frustration, lifting himself out of the water before splashing down again. "Why can't I remember?! I feel like there's something important that I have to know, but I can't reach it! What is it, Mother? You have to tell me!"

Mothra gently chuckled. "That's what you get for being impatient, my dear. But do not fear; when the time is right, it will all come back to you. I only wish…" she began to say when a wave of pain hit her.

"Mothra!" Godzilla and Lina gasped simultaneously.

"Mother!" Leo cried out at the same time.

Gina couldn't take it anymore; she jumped right off the boat, determined to get to Mothra.

"Gina, wait!" Godzilla II called, diving in after her.

"Hey! Guys, come on!" Minya groaned. He really didn't want to get in the water; this was way deeper than the pools back home, but… He dove in anyway.

Godzooky followed after.

By force of habit, Pete was tempted to call the younger saurians back, but he held his tongue; he couldn't blame the young ones for wanting to see Mothra.

Gina struggled to stay afloat; she was still a hatchling and she hadn't learned how to swim well just yet, but apparently she wasn't going to let that stop her. Luckily, her eldest brother came up underneath her, putting her on his back. Zooky and Minya joined a second later, the latter hanging on to the former.

"What are you doing?" Godzilla II questioned Minya in a rather biting tone.

"Hey, I can't swim that good, so gimme a break, huh?!" Minya yelled, feeling way out of his comfort zone.

"Mothra!" Gina screamed, bringing her brothers out of their argument.

"Hey! Hey! Easy!" Godzilla II told his baby sister as she tried to get him to move forward. "Easy," he repeated in a calmer tone. "We'll get over there and you can see Aunt Mothra, OK?"

Gina sniffled a bit before nodding and giving an affirmative sound.

Godzilla II and Zooky nodded and began making their way forward, their passengers holding on.

Meanwhile, the two grown saurian kaiju and the little larva were trying to keep Mothra conscious, but her attention was beginning to wander. She was beginning to drift back to past moments in her life, and what actions she had taken. With contrite admission, she regretted that she had never acted on her love for Grandpa Goji, but he had a different destiny, and her duty as Guardian came first. Still, could it have hurt to have shared a little more with him? It wouldn't have been as if she was throwing her duty away! Oh, life just wasn't fair! And speaking of life being unfair, just what was she setting this new family up for when she had done what she did? True, she had saved a life, but what would be the consequences? She felt like more than a mentor to Godzilla and Lina; she felt like they were her own children besides Leo, and their new children, her grandchildren in a way. How would that relationship hold up when the parents found out what she had done?

"Mothra!" four small voices cried out, pulling Mothra out of her reverie.

Through her fading vision she managed to spy the tiny forms of the saurian younglings swimming toward her and gave a warm smile as best she could.

Leo remained quiet as Godzilla gently guided the children to Mothra through the small waves.

"Aunt Mothra! Please fly! Come home with us! Please!" Gina begged. "Please, Aunt Mothra! I love you!"

"And I love you too, little one," Mothra said gently. "I love you all. I love you all so much."

There was a pause as children managed to get close to Mothra's furry head. It was soaked from the sea water, but that didn't stop little Gina from nuzzling it, nor the boys, for that matter; all four of them giving her their love as best they could. At that moment, Mothra wanted to wrap her wings over them as she used to, but she barely had any strength now.

"Children," Mothra said. "Come where I can see you, please."

Godzilla gently lifted them out of the water and put the child quartet in front of the Divine Moth.

"What is it?" Godzooky asked, breaking the silence.

Mothra looked lovingly at them and said, "I want you all to know that I am so proud of you. All of you," she added, looking at Leo, Godzilla, Lina, and even Vicky and the Calico crew. "You've all done so well, even in the face of danger; even if you don't think so." She looked towards the humans. "You've been such good friends and better teachers than I ever could be. They will need beings like you to help face what lies ahead, and many others as well. Use your gifts wisely and keep your faith strong."

Without thinking about it, the humans nodded. Vicky put her left hand on her watch, feeling that the last part of that message was mostly for her.

Mothra now brought her attention to Leo. "I know you're scared and confused right now, but you mustn't give in to it; be strong, be patient, and be kind. Don't be afraid to look to others for guidance if needed. I know you'll be a wonderful Guardian someday, just as I know they will," she added, looking to Godzilla and Lina, who both looked down humbly. "Don't underestimate yourselves," Mothra continued, addressing the grown saurians. "The path to becoming a Guardian takes time, as I'm sure you're aware. You will fall many times, and you will get back up that many times plus one. But the bonds of love and trust that you have forged between yourselves, your children, your family, and those around you will see you through as well. That will be your greatest advantage. Don't ever lose sight of it."

"Hai, Mosura-sama," Lina replied in Japanese, giving a respectful bow; Godzilla did the same.

Mothra returned the bows with a nod, almost putting her head completely in the water. Now it was the children's turn.

"There are so many challenges ahead for all of you, many of them will push you past a point. But I have confidence in your strength, your love, your perseverance. You all have wonderful potential, and many other qualities that others will see. I'm just sorry that I won't be able to see the wonderful beings that you will grow up to be," Mothra said, sounding sad at that last sentence.

"What do you mean? Mommy, what's Aunt Mothra talking about?" Gina queried, worried and confused.

"Mosura-sama, don't talk like that," Lina said, her voice beginning to tremble. "You're going to be fine."

Once again, Mothra shook her head sadly. With effort, she managed to bring her right scythe-shaped forearm out of the water and move it in a "come here" motion. Lina submerged herself just enough so that she was practically eye-level with the Divine Moth, wondering with trepidation what she was going to say.

After a moment of gathering what strength she had left, Mothra placed her forearm on Lina's shoulder in a gesture of comfort and said gently, "I can remember when your mother first came to Infant Island. She was drawn by Moll and Lora's singing and wanted to learn. She underwent training that went from her childhood to her adulthood and became one of the first from Monster Island to know how to sing. When you were born, she sensed that you had the potential to learn more than she ever could, so not only did we teach you to sing, but I also taught you about our history, the history of the kaiju. You and Godzilla are the finest students I've ever had, and I hope that you two will carry on learning and growing. I know you wish it to be not so, but the sign has been in front of you the whole time. I'm just glad that I got to see your beautiful gifts come into the world, Lina. I know your mother would be so proud of you, just as I am."

Lina was silent as she tried to contemplate Mothra's words, only to find herself looking back at Leo…and coming to the only logical, sad conclusion. Her sapphire-blue eyes grew wet and tears began streaming down her face.

"No. No, you can't! You can't!" Lina gasped as she shook her head in denial.

"Mommy? Mommy, what's wrong?" Gina queried as she began to cry; she was still confused and frightened and now was picking up her mother's distress. She couldn't understand why her mom was crying; this was so new for her.

"You can't go!" Lina cried, now bringing herself close to Mothra so that she was nuzzling the moth's head.

Leo, being mindful of the saurian younglings in the water, made his way over and began nuzzling his mother as well, as if that would somehow help.

"What do you mean, Mommy? Where's Aunt Mothra going? What does Mommy mean, Big Brother? Zooky, where's she going? Why is Mommy crying?" Gina demanded, getting more distressed by the minute.

By now, the realization was hitting everyone, even those who didn't completely understand: Mothra was dying, and there was nothing anyone could do.

Quinn brought Pete in for an embrace while Captain Majors put a comforting arm around the scientist. Brock already had a crying Vicky in a hug.

Godzilla was trying to remain a calm anchor for everyone, but the pain he was feeling for his mate was so much that tears started falling from his coal-black eyes. It wasn't just that, but Mothra had been a teacher to him as well, not to mention she and his grandfather had been not just friends, but lovers in a way, as he had found out in the days leading to his and Lina's wedding. He was half-hoping that his grandfather was coming over the horizon to say goodbye to his old friend.

Minya was equally confused as his little sister as to what was happening, but he couldn't say anything because the distress was getting to him, as well. Godzilla II couldn't answer his baby sister for the same reason.

"She's dying, Gina," Zooky finally spoke, his young, throaty voice thick with emotion. "She's going to Heaven, where she won't get hurt anymore, but we won't see her again."

"What do you mean we won't see her again?!" Gina screamed. "I want her to get better! I wanna see her again! MOTHRA-A-A!"

Gina's cries attracted the attention of Leo, Godzilla, Lina, and Mothra. The sound made their hearts ache.

Leo could feel the love the baby female saurian had for his mother; in that—and unknowingly much more—they had a kinship. The green-eyed larva moved from his mother to the saurian younglings and made comforting sounds as best he could, being filled with sadness himself.

Lina had been a little older than 43 days when she had lost her mother Athena in a violent attack, but it didn't matter how old one was, when Death came, it came. The parents took a moment to also comfort the children, also giving some nuzzles to Leo, as well.

Mothra wished that she could stay longer, there was still so much to explain, so much to say, but she had made her peace when she had found that she was expecting Leo. And now the part she played in the story was over. She would never get to see the children grow, learn, make friends, and eventually find love. She wouldn't be able to offer guidance to the young family; that now fell to Grandpa Goji, Leo, their human friends, and the friends they would encounter along the way, whom they would come to guide as well.

One regret Mothra knew that she was going to take with her was the still-unspoken love in her heart for Godzilla's grandfather. That single kiss from that night only scratched the surface of what she wanted to say. If only she could see him one more time…

Godzilla silently signaled Lina to put Zooky and his young cousins on the Calico. His mate looked between the two before nodding in understanding.

Lina gently placed her hand under the four saurian children, waiting a moment for the water to run off and to let them get on their feet before putting them on the Calico. The teary-eyed humans came out of their comforting embraces to take care of the young ones, especially Gina, who was the most affected of the four.

"I don't want Mothra to go," Gina sobbed. "I don't want her to go and make Mommy cry. Me and Mommy want her to stay."

"We know, sweetie, we know," Quinn said soothingly.

"Can't we make her stay?"

"I'm sorry," Quinn said sadly. "But when someone dies, there's nothing anyone can do."

"But Mommy will be sad."

"We all will," Vicky spoke, having gotten control of herself for the moment. "Your mommy, your daddy, your great-grandpa, her friends; all of us will be sad. But she'll be going to a good place."

"Will she go to Heaven, like Zooky said?"

"What's that?" Minya sniffled.

Godzilla II wiped his eyes and tried to keep calm, wanting to hear this as well.

"It's a place where everyone who's done a lot of good in their life go when they die; up there," Zooky explained, glancing up at the sky.

"Will she be lonely?"

"Oh no, no," Vicky smiled. "There's many people up there that she'll meet, like your mom's mommy and my Babci. She'll also meet her family there, too, as well a lot of special people, so she's not going to be lonely."

"But I'm gonna miss her."

"And that's okay," Captain Majors said gently. "We all will. But the important thing is to keep living like she wants us to."

"But I'm not gonna see her again."

"She won't really be gone as long you remember her," Brock offered.

"And you know what? Because she'll be in Heaven, she'll watch over you and help you in a special way," Vicky added. "And she'll do the same with all of us, including Leo and your mommy and daddy."

Everything that Gina was being told made her feel a little better, but she was still very sad that Mothra was dying, which was normal.

"But I want her here," Gina wept. "I want her here…" After that, she couldn't say much more. Neither could anyone else on the Calico as the tears began anew.

'I want her here, too,' Lina said silently, having heard the conversation.

A loud chirp from Leo and the ensuing splashing made everyone look towards Mothra again, as the larva was making his way back over to her.

As the conversation on the science vessel had been taking place, the adult Godzilla and Mothra were having a conversation of their own, which was honestly her talking and him listening while trying not to break down, even though he had managed to ask:

"Do you want me to take you to Monster Island? Or maybe…maybe I could call Grandpa? I know you two are close."

Mothra smiled sadly and shook her head. Weakly, she lifted a wing and splashed it in the water.

"It's all right. The water doesn't bother me anymore," she sighed. "At least I know why you Gojirins love the water so much; it's so calming. A perfect place to rest. But it can also be a real force and there is more to it than what is on the surface," she added. "That is what I have come to find about you, your family, and your friends. You are all much more than you appear to be, and because of that, you will all be able to bring great change to the world around you. But be warned; the change that you will bring will not be without sacrifice, as I have said before. You all will have many tests to face, many that will push you all to the point of breaking, especially yourself."

Godzilla listened intently to every word, absorbing them even though he was sad and scared.

"But let me impart these words to you as I gave them to your grandfather: "If you bend your shoulders to hold the weight of the world, then you will surely shatter". And hear me now when I say that you will not be alone in these tests, for your family will grow with each journey you make. And in time, they will be your greatest allies. Don't be afraid to lean on them for support if necessary, for through the bonds you will forge with them, they will not be afraid to give it."

Mothra let out a tired gasp just then, feeling her life-force ebbing out faster than ever; it was almost time.

Alarmed by the sudden drop in energy that he had sensed, Godzilla gingerly placed his hands under her to keep her head above water.

Leo let out an alarmed chirp and hurried back to his mother, with Lina right behind him.

The group on the Calico moved towards the bow again to get a better look, even though their vision was blurred with tears.

There were no words anymore. There was nothing except the desperate and saddened chirps and squeals of Leo as he nuzzled his mother once again, trying to get her out of the water while also begging her to do so, as well as the keening moans of Godzilla and Lina as they began to grieve for their friend and teacher. Mothra herself managed to make a few murmurs of comfort before she went silent.

Godzilla pulled back, thinking she had gone, but noticed that her blue eyes were glowing. In fact, her whole body seemed to be giving off a faint glow.

"She must be communicating on another plane," Lina and Leo realized.

There was no need to ask who she was communicating with. Mothra was using the last of her strength to say one last goodbye to her friend, lover, and fellow Guardian.

Up in the air still were Fairy and the Elias, who had heard and seen all that had transpired up to now. They too had realized that now Mothra was saying goodbye to Grandpa Goji and decided to let her have that moment.

Moll thought back to that night when a young Grandpa Goji had asked Mothra if he could stay on Infant Island with her; that had been the night when Mothra had started feeling something for him. The orange-clad Elias, although she supported the Divine Moth, had been on the side of caution, as a relationship like that would not be without its consequences, including the time when Mothra would have to choose between duty and her heart. When the Divine Moth had chosen her duty, Moll's heart had ached with Mothra's and she kept a close eye on the moth goddess, for even though the saurian and the moth went their separate ways, there was still love for each other in their hearts. And, as she had seen today, it had manifested itself in an amazing and unbelievable way in the fight against Desghidorah when Mothra had gotten her second wind; no Mothra before her had ever been able to create an energy avatar that fought like the real thing, let alone one that looked like Grandpa Goji. Somehow, the two had combined their energies from a long distance apart to create it, only for Mothra to break it so that she could take a hit for Lina and Leo without hurting the being on the other end of the link. And now, in her dying hours, Mothra still hung on strongly to her love, and Moll had a feeling that it would carry on even after the Divine Moth had passed.

"Can't we help her?!" Lora cried, tears falling from her eyes.

Moll only shook her head no, tears beginning to fall from her own eyes.

"MOTHRA-A!" Lora yelled in grief.

Mothra weakly lifted her head after a while, her gaze landing on Godzilla. But the saurian could tell that she wasn't seeing him; she was seeing his grandfather. It felt a little unfair being the one here holding her instead of him; he deserved to see her in person instead of in some spiritual plane.

His sensitive ears suddenly picked up a whisper from Mothra; it was so faint that if he hadn't been focused on her he would have missed it:

"Saraba tomoyo. Aishiteru."

The words struck Godzilla's heart, for he knew what they meant and who they were for. Tears in his eyes and starting to shake from pent-up sobs, Godzilla gave the moth a forehead touch with a gentleness usually reserved for a hatchling. Then he drew back and removed his hands from underneath her.

The water of the Pacific Ocean began to lap over Mothra's wings and body, but there was no movement on her part.

She was sinking.

It was then that the new realization hit the group full force: Mothra, Guardian of Earth, friend, lover, teacher, and mother, was dead.

Lina and Godzilla threw their heads to the sky as they let loose roars of grief. It was also to honor her as a Guardian. Leo let out a cry of his own, as did the saurian children, although theirs were more out of pure grief. The sobs of the humans started anew as well as they embraced the younger saurians as well as each other.

Once they had stopped their roars, Godzilla immediately took Lina into his arms as she sobbed. When Leo nuzzled their sides, they both put a hand on him for comfort.

Gina looked up for a moment and saw something that would forever be etched into her memory: Her parents embracing each other, tears in their eyes. It made the youngling cry harder; she had never seen her parents cry before, and it hurt to see them do so.

(End flashback)

When a Mothra lays her egg, it means that her time is near; that's common knowledge. But to know that not only was it brought on by age, but also by her giving a part of her life-force to my egg so that I could live… I just… I feel so…

Gina stayed there on the beach for a few minutes, curled into herself and trying to ride out the wave of grief that was coming over her. It was true that she didn't ask for these psychic powers, but she couldn't exactly have anticipated her egg getting cracked open from a cave-in that had happened during a battle between her parents and Destroyah, either. And Mothra, she cared deeply for the Godzilla family, not to mention all life, so of course it was going to be no surprise that she would do something to save Gina.

…Still, it didn't stop the young female saurian from feeling responsible for what happened to Leo's mom.

A gleam caused by the moonlight reflecting off of something on her wrist caught Gina's attention just then. It was her bracelet, a gift from Luke, a human boy whom she had become close with. He had given it to her on what could be considered their "first date"; it had charms that, in Japanese, listed what he considered to be her best qualities: "Kind", "beautiful", "strong", "talented", "cheerful", and "loyal". Unfortunately, he had passed away in his sleep from epilepsy at the age of 20, leaving Gina heartbroken. A fresh wave of tears started as she thought about the boy she had fallen in love with; his indomitable spirit in the face of his condition, that wide smile that brightened a room, his prodigious dancing talent, his sharp sense of humor, and of course you couldn't leave out that bouncy, black, curly hair, those bright, brown eyes and those cute freckles.

I wonder what Luke and Mothra have been talking about up there, Gina pondered as she looked to the sky. I bet Luke's been telling her about me from what I told him, she thought, a little warmth coming to her cheeks. I know I can't guess how she'd react, but I'm pretty sure she would be surprised to know that Luke and I were close. I didn't expect to fall in love with him, or even get to kiss him, but…

Gina giggled a little as she remembered her first kiss: She and Luke had won a dancing competition for the school they were attending and Luke had insisted that she be the one to take home the trophy. She had been so happy that she had barely registered that he had kissed her until she actually noticed his lips on hers. Of course, that had garnered quite a bit of shock, and Zooky just had to play the embarrassment card and tell Luke that he had kissed a princess. And the best part, after getting subtle approval from her father, the two got to kiss again, and it had been the greatest thing she had ever experienced.

Back in the present, Gina held on to the happy memory a little longer to cheer herself up. And it had worked…somewhat. She still felt a bit lonely, though.

The young female saurian kaiju sighed again. "I hate feeling bummed out like this," she grumbled. "What can I do to cheer myself up?"

She didn't feel like dancing or singing right now, so that was out. Go for a swim? No, not really. Hang out? Maybe. …Possibly. Oh, why not? It wasn't like she didn't have any friends to hang out with.

And for situations like this, she knew just the girl to call.

When she came off the drawing board in early 1992, probably around late April or early May, Dot Warner never imagined the twists and turns the lives of herself and her two older brothers would take. Well, meeting her brothers and the other Toons whom she was going to do "Animaniacs" with was normal enough; meeting Godzooky and learning about kaiju, now that was extraordinary. But when the night of July 10th, 1992 hit, that had to be the first time things went truly off the walls. And not in the fun, Toony way. She occasionally had flashbacks of forcibly going from her cute, normal self to something out of a very adult comic book to something abstract and then back again; needless to say, that had not been a pleasant night for humans and Toons alike. And of course, to hear that Godzooky and Roger Rabbit, with help from a human who had been in Cool World since the 40's, had all risked their lives to save everyone had shocked her and everyone else, making her see them in quite a new light. Then of course there had been the night of July 16, 1993, a month and 28 days before "Animaniacs" would air, when she, her brothers, and a bunch of still relatively-new Toons as well as a few children had been put under some kind of trance by the newcomer Sanderson Sisters. Luckily, that had gotten straightened out quick and the witch sisters issued apologies at the behest of the mayor of the Disney District, Mickey Mouse, himself. So, I guess you could say Dot—as well as her sibs and costars—had an interesting two years and change before their "air-time". And even during filming for "Animaniacs", the excitement off-camera had just begun.

For one thing, in the summer of 1994, their fellow Warner Bros Toons and friends the Looney Tunes and the Tiny Toons were threatened by an alien named Swackhammer and his goons the Monstars, and they would have become slaves in Swackhammer's amusement park if it hadn't been for not only the help of legendary basketball player Michael Jordan, but also the assistance of Godzooky's family, as well as Roger and Jessica Rabbit. That was the first time Dot had met Zooky's youngest cousin, Gina, and after a rather eventful visit to the Warner Bros lot which involved the water tower getting knocked over and later turned into a whole spy adventure and eye-opening experience for Gina's family—which is a story unto itself—the youngest Warner sibling and the youngest Gojo sibling decided to strike up a correspondence with each other, and it was a good thing, too, because soon enough, things went off the walls once again.

No-one had been expecting a Heartless attack. In fact, no-one had been expecting an attack of any kind. Frankly, it felt like it had been a miracle that the "Animaniacs" Toons had managed to weather out the onslaught, especially since many other Toons hadn't been so lucky, such as Tiny Toon Calamity Coyote, who had lost his parents to the Heartless. When asked about it, Dot would say that all she could remember was thinking about surviving as she swung her mallet around like a maniac…although she had to privately admit that that level of frantic, manic, desperate combat was matched only by Yakko, and frankly seeing him throughout that situation was scary; he had been like a Toon possessed.

When Godzooky and Roger had brought that futuristic superhero group the Loonatics back to the 21st century, Dot had been quite surprised by them, and considering her brothers and herself were the ones usually surprising people, that's saying something. Rev had made her head spin at first, but she got used to him (of course him and Yakko had clicked in a heartbeat). Tech, while a bit head-spinning in his own way with his genius IQ, was actually a bit easier to get used to, especially when he and Calamity had bonded. Ace and Slam had been easy to get used to as well, and Lexi, well, the minute shopping had entered the equation as something the girl bunny liked to do, it was clear that Dot had found a new friend. Due to the ego he possessed upon landing, Duck was more easy to tease and trade jibes with than it was to get to know him, but in recent days it seemed like the mallard's attitude was making a new turn; one that only showed from Daffy in dire straits and made a select few appreciate him a little more.

But, of course, life is never easy, even when you're a Toon. It's full of transitions…including not only doing a reboot of your old show, but also being downloaded with the entire Warner Bros District into something called the Warner Bros Serververse. And having practically everyone leaving the neighborhood except for a few stalwart fourteen—of which Dot was a part of—to explore this new frontier. Not to mention having to gather up said neighbors with assistance from yet another basketball player to reform the Tune Squad and, possibly most heart-wrenching of all, finding out that you're going up against not just said basketball player's son, but also one of your costars as well, even if he was under the influence of the Heartless…and then having to almost lose him and Bugs after winning the game. Sure Brain was one of those guys who was rough around the edges, but he always cared, even if he didn't show it much.

And while she had gotten small, brief glimpses of it over the years, including that almost year-long nightmare where Yakko, Pinky, Dr. Scratchansniff, Fowlmouth, and many other Toons lost their voices while their VA Rob Paulsen was undergoing treatment for Stage III throat cancer, and even a bit when she, her brothers, and the mice had wound up in Jack Skellington's world to help him and Scrappy take down the Sanderson sisters (the "Real" counterparts of the witches who lived in Toontown), she really had no idea of the full extent of it, or the full extent of how far she, her brothers, and Dr. Scratchansniff would go to take care of each other until the Upside Down Battles (she had missed out on the Red Dust Kaiju Invasion because the Warners had not been invited and they had been quite busy being huddled in a bunker). As it turned out, despite not having psychic powers like El, Gina, Pinky, Romy, Nova, Calamity, April, and—to everyone's surprise—Tech, Dot found herself really holding her own against the forces from the Upside Down as well as whatever other, more human, forces decided to show themselves, even if what she ended up doing was running away most of the time. Except for that one time she had flung fireworks at that icky, gory Mind Flayer during the confrontation at Starcourt Mall, she didn't run away then. Nor had she when Yakko got it into his skull to tag along on Mrs. Byers and Murray's rescue operation to get Chief Hopper and Dr. Scratchansniff out of a Russian gulag…without her or Wakko (yeah, she's still a bit ticked off at him for that). And she most certainly didn't run during the final showdown; in fact, her and her brothers had managed to access their anime forms from the "Animaniacs" reboot segment "Bun Control" and became quite a force alongside the others.

Needless to say, the life of Princess Angelina Contessa Louisa Francesca Banana Fanna Bo-Besca the Third AKA Dot from coming off the drawing board to the present day was far from ordinary by any standards, whether they were human or Toon.

However, like all humans and Toons, Dot often craved those moments of quiet when the world wasn't coming to an end around her ears, when all she had to worry about was looking as cute as possible for the next gig and/or learning her lines for the next scene.

Bzz-bzzz! "~I'm cute, yes, it's true~."

And, like many girls, waiting for a chance to socialize.

Upon hearing her favorite ringtone, Dot picked up her new cellphone and hit the green "accept call" button—without looking at the caller ID, I might add—and proceeded to spout in near rapid-fire fashion:

"Hello, you've reached Princess Angelina Contessa Louisa Francesca Banana Fanna Bo-Besca the Third, but you can call me 'Dot'. But don't call me 'Dottie' or you'll die. How can I help you?"

There was the sound of giggles trying to be repressed on the other end before a familiar voice came through with a smile in it, "Well, Princess Angelina Contessa Louisa Francesca Banana Fanna Bo-Besca the Third, this is Princess Gina Gojo the First, but you can call me 'Gina'. After all, what's titles between friends?"

Dot just about jumped off her bed in excitement as she laughed and responded, "Aside from being fun to say and a great opener to a phone call, absolutely nothing!" The two girls shared a laugh before Dot managed to get herself back under control. "Gina! Where you been keepin' yourself, huh?" the Warner sister asked cheerfully. "I haven't heard that Zooky's gone anywhere recently, so I guess you and the folks haven't had any major expeditions lately."

"No, not really. I can't say much for Vicky's end, but as for the rest of us, I guess we're still trying to work through what happened in Hawkins," Gina replied. "I know it's only been a couple months, but…"

Dot sighed tiredly and rolled onto her back, still holding her cellphone to her ear. "Yeah, I know what you mean. There have been times that I can't go to sleep without the lights on 'cause I get scared that one of those Demodogs will come out and get me, and me sleeping with the lights on hasn't happened since the first Heartless attack."

"How's everyone else?"

Dot sighed again. "It's a bit of a mixed bag, honestly. Everybody's trying to deal in their own way, of course. Yakko's been listening to a lot of his favorite music lately; I think he's still scared from hearing about how Vecna got his victims and so he's taking a page out of Max's book. He's also gotten a bit…"

"Overprotective?" Gina supplied.

"Well, not so much out in public; people can still get in close with us, but we can't be too far from him. He's also relaxed a bit about being by myself on girl shopping trips with Lexi and Babs, so that's some relief. He does check up on us at night and makes sure we're all in the water tower at a certain hour, and that's one restriction that I'm pretty sure isn't going to be going away for a long time. As for Wakko, I don't think much has changed…except now he can't stand meatloaf; reminds him too much of that…that fleshy…Mind Flayer…thing," Dot hesitated, feeling awkward about mentioning the creature that had temporarily taken away Gina's psychic powers and left her in a rather precarious situation.

"Hey, it's all right," Gina said gently.

Dot gave the phone screen a dubious glance but gave no rebuttal. "Anyway, Scratchy's actually been spending a bit more time with us," Dot continued. "At first, Yakko had been a bit averse to the idea, but I think that's another thing he's starting to loosen up with, too."

"You guys driving him kooky in the noggin as usual?" Gina smirked.

"Well, duh!" Dot said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Wouldn't be much fun if we didn't!"

There was another round of giggling before Dot returned to her "progress report":

"As for everyone else…well…from what I've heard from Lexi, Ace is pretty much doing his 'I'm the leader so I've gotta carry the heavy stuff for the team all the time' thing, which, of course, is worrying her."

Gina sighed on the other end. "I can't blame either of them, really. As leader, you have a responsibility to your team, or even your family, for that matter."

"Like your great-grandpa and the island or your daddy and you and the guys?"

"Yeah. And then, of course you've got people like my mom who help my dad try to shoulder everything. As the second, you've got the job of not only offering alternatives, but sometimes you have to be the shoulder or the person the other has to dump stuff on."

"Oh, honestly, I've probably said this a hundred times before, but your mom is an absolute saint and very nice, too; I can see how alike you two are."

"Well, I'll be sure to pass on the compliment," Gina smiled. She then asked, "How about Tech? How's he doing?"

"Oh, Lexi told me that Tech's really been putting himself into training his new powers. It's still a bit difficult to not move something made of metal at the same time, but he's doing fine with small non-metal objects. And Calamity's also got Tech joining his sessions with Shirley. Oh, yeah, and Pinky and Romy are joining them as well!"

"Really?"

"Yeah! Honestly, it's like they've got their own little club going. From what I've heard, besides what Tech's been working on, Pinky's still working on focus and Romy still needs to work on some self-confidence, but Cal's really been stepping up to help. Even Shirley's impressed with him."

"Oh, that's wonderful!"

"Yeah, I'd say you really left an impression on him."

There was silence on the other end for a minute.

"Dot… You know we're just friends," Gina said seriously.

"Of course I do!" Dot said quickly. "What made you think that I was thinking something else? Wait, did I say something a certain way?" she asked after a pause.

Silence again.

"Sorry," Dot apologized. She then cleared her throat. "Anyway, speaking of the mice, looks like they've been doing pretty good for having two sets of memories stuck in their heads. There's still occasional slips of the tongue, mostly from Pinky, but they're getting a pretty good handle on it."

What Dot was referring to was that during 1986 in the world of Hawkins, Indiana, not only had the group from other places—which had become sans Dr. Scratchansniff about nine months ago—split up between Hawkins and Lenora Hills, California, but both groups had gotten new allies in the form of Bonnie Barstow and Karter "Karr" Knight, who had landed in Hawkins, and Lenora Hills had gotten Salas, Michael Knight, Kristopher "Kitt" Knight…and Pinky, Brain, and Romy! As it turned out, those last three were the counterparts of the three mice who lived in Toontown who lived in a world where Brain's endeavors at world domination were not part of a kid's show. Once the other set of mice arrived, however, both sets ended up merging and the mice were out cold for a couple months as their minds tried to assimilate all the new information. The process was still ongoing, but as Toontown Brain had put it, it was "interesting to learn about the lives of our counterparts and their world".

"That's good to hear," Gina said. "I just hope it's not giving Brain any grief, though, considering his counterpart had spent some time in an organization that's not focused on world domination."

"Actually…he's handling it amazingly," Dot said, her tone indicating that she had been surprised to learn that information. "Oh, he still wants to take over the world—I mean, he was written that way—but…" The Warner sister looked around suspiciously as if making sure no-one else was listening in before continuing in a hushed tone, "Don't let it get around, but some of us have been noticing that Brain's opened a line to that organization that Michael, Bonnie, Kitt, and Karr, as well as both Mike and Kitt Jr, work for and has been contributing a few usable resources towards their work."

Gina thought that over for a moment before responding with, "Well, I don't think it's anything we need to be alarmed about. Honestly, I think it's a good thing that that line was opened; if you guys in Toontown need help in a hurry, then they'll be right nearby. Plus, they'll be sort of your eyes and ears for any trouble besides the news."

"Huh. That's right; I didn't even think of that, thanks!"

"Glad to be of help. So, hey, speaking of Lexi," Gina continued, "if she's up for it and things really have relaxed as you say, I was wondering if you two would be up for a girl trip to some of Japan's malls; on the 14th, my time, so it'll be the 13th for you guys. Don't worry, I can promise Lexi that she won't be whisked away to the Feudal Era again," she giggled, remembering that the female bunny's last trip with a member of her family had turned into a full-blown adventure involving demons, a magic well, the Feudal Era, and a legendary jewel. Zooky and the Loonatics had come out of that adventure with new powers for the latter and two new friends who had been demon slayers in their era.

"Well, before I answer, can I ask you something a bit…personal?" Dot asked slowly, deciding to use "personal" instead of whatever other word she was thinking of using.

"Depends" was the answer after some hesitation.

"How are you holding up? And I mean really. You can't expect me not to remember some of the stories that you and your cousin told me, including what tomorrow means for you over there," Dot said, her tone gentle but at the same time asking for honesty; if there was one thing Dot Warner would not stand for, it was those she considered "fools", people who weren't honest or weren't considerate. She knew that Gina was neither of those, but like so many, the latter had the tendency to bottle things up. Dot preferred the "straight-to-the-point" approach; no beating around the bush for her.

There was a long pause as Dot waited for what Gina had to say. But if there was one thing life had pounded into the mind of the youngest of the irascible Warner siblings, it was that patience paid off.

"I had a weird dream, and it had myself and a large group of beings, including some human girls, fighting something. Mothra was there, too; I heard her familiar screech. And…And there was a lion roar, too. It might have been…" Gina seemed to drift off in thought for a moment, giving Dot time to ponder about that latter detail. Of all the lions she knew and heard about, there was only one she could think of that could possibly be in a dream like that: Aslan, the Great Lion whom Gina and her family had met in their travels to the world of Narnia.

Unless written to be so, Toons really didn't belong to a specific religious denomination like many humans did; it was a matter of practice that the entertainment companies followed so as to avoid offending viewers of different religions, but when Dot had heard about the Godzilla family's Narnia adventures and what the saurians had ended up learning from them, some of it had sunk in for her.

"Any idea what that's all about? Like if it's a new mission you're supposed to go on?" Dot asked.

"It's possible," Gina shrugged. "I mean, my dream during the Red Dust Kaiju Invasion certainly indicated as such. But the point is… (sigh) I think I've weathered some of it, but I really could use some time outside and in some company."

"Hey, you need someone to turn your frown upside down, I'm your girl!" Dot beamed. "So, I'll call Lexi up and we'll start packing today and we can meet you…tomorrow? Santa Monica Pier Area?"

"Sounds good," Gina nodded.

"Super!" Dot cheered. "Say, uh, you know any places that we might be interested in? I mean, Lex's told me about Shinjuku and all those other well-known spots, but I was hoping you might know a place that we haven't seen or heard about that we could explore?"

"Well, when Vicky was on her adventures with the Digimon, she had said that some of the kids had told her about a district in Minato-ku—Minato Ward—called Azabu-Jūban also called Jūban. She didn't get a chance to explore, so maybe we could," Gina suggested. "Minato's a ward of Tokyo I've never explored myself, so this should be interesting."

"'Interesting' is right up my alley," Dot said. "Jūban it is."

"Santa Monica Pier Area tomorrow?"

"Be there or be square!"

"Same to you!"

The girls giggled before exchanging goodbyes and hanging up. Dot took a breath before making a call to Lexi. Once that was done, she had one more task to perform.

"…And that's really what this trip is all about," Dot finished explaining to Yakko. "We both know Gina; she'll have me and Lexi back at a reasonable time. 'Sides, they'll both watch my back while we're gone. Please?"

Yakko was quiet as he mulled over Dot's request. Understandably, he was extremely reluctant to let his little sister go on this trip; this would be the first time in months that she would be outside the country, and by herself, no less. Well, she'd be with friends, granted, but other than that… The temptation to say "no" was strong, but he also knew that this trip wasn't for Dot; it was for his little sister's friend to raise her spirits on a day that brought sad memories for her. And if there was one thing Yakko couldn't stand, it was seeing a sad face.

Dot tried not to fidget or jump to the worst-case conclusion, but as her oldest sibling continued his internal debate, she couldn't help but start slouching in her seat on the couch and twitching her foot. She didn't dare try to pull her "cute act" on him; it might have worked in the past, but not now; not after everything that had happened.

Yakko now had his back toward Dot, as if he didn't want her to see his face. Unfortunately, this meant Wakko could, and he could see that his big brother was on the verge of saying "no", even despite the other side of the argument.

The middle Warner sibling could often be clueless on a number of things, but when it came to his friends and family, especially recently, he really embodied the line he had sung in the song "Be Like Me" from the reboot: "Always stand up for your mates".

"Yakko, it's like she said: It's not for her, it's for Gina," Wakko said quietly. "You don't want Dot to be sad 'cause Gina'll be sad if she doesn't show, do you? Besides, Dot and Gina will be with a real superhero and everything. You do trust Gina and Lexi…don't you?"

"Trust". That was the key word, wasn't it? He had to trust Gina and Lexi to look after Dot. He had to trust Dot that she would be careful. He had to trust himself in that he would be doing the right thing in letting his baby sister go on this trip. The first two he had no problem with; it was the "trusting himself" part he was having trouble with. When Yakko had temporarily gone Voiceless, his self-confidence had taken a blow. When he did his scene with Nickelwise for the "Animaniacs" reboot Halloween special, that breakdown he had had was real-so real that once filming the last few scenes was over, Yakko had fainted-and his self-confidence had practically been demolished. And just when it had seemed that things were on the mend, Romy had gotten kidnapped, which led to the Warner siblings being part of a search-and-rescue mission…which very quickly turned into an adventure that was way out of some of the group members' pay grade in which they-including the Warners-had to step up big time. And not only did trust in each other become paramount, trust in one's capabilities and the ability to push oneself came to the fore. Yakko, his sibs, and everyone else had met the challenge, but the experience had been draining and had left the eldest Warner with not much confidence in himself, especially since he knew that at any time during the latter part of the Upside Down Battles, he was an easy target and thus a liability. And who's to say that didn't apply now?

By letting his baby sister go, could he be setting himself up for another painful blow?

"Just… Just make sure you three stay together at all times, OK?"

Dot perked up in her seat.

"And make sure you send updates at regular intervals; doesn't matter if it's texts, FaceTime, or even a posted video, just be sure to send something."

Dot subconsciously scooted to the edge of her seat.

"And… And…" There was some hesitation and for a moment there was some worry that Yakko was going to turn on a dime and say "no", but: "I'll be willing to let you go until the 28th, Gina's time-that's the 27th, our time-but after that, you come right back home, OK?"

Two full weeks to explore Jūban with her girl pals? That was more than she could have hoped for!

"OK!" Dot nodded emphatically, a wide smile on her face.

"Promise?" Yakko asked.

In response, Dot made the Girl Scout salute with her right hand while doing the "cross your heart" gesture with her left. She even showed her tail to make sure Yakko knew that she was going to stick to her word.

"Promise," Dot affirmed, still beaming and now throwing in her "cute look".

It had the intended effect: Yakko relaxed and smiled in what felt like the first time in forever. He then gave a hug to his baby sister, which Wakko ended up joining, before they broke apart and all three rubbed noses.

"You call Lexi yet?" Yakko asked once the little sibling moment was over.

"Yep," Dot answered. "She's probably packing as we speak."

"Then you better do the same," Yakko suggested.

"Can I help?" Wakko asked eagerly.

"Why not?" Dot giggled. "Come on!"

With that, the two younger Warners bounded away, leaving Yakko alone.

The smile slid off as once again Yakko began to hear his negativity talking, saying that doing this was a big mistake and he would end up regretting it. How could he let his youngest sibling go off on her own like that?! How could he be so irresponsible?! With everything that happened, with the responsibility of looking after his siblings resting on his shoulders, how could he make a decision like this?!

Yakko made a beeline for the nightstand, where his phone and headphones sat ready and charged. He needed to boost his mood, but he didn't feel like listening to "Smile" by Nat King Cole or "I'm Still Standing" by Elton John at the moment; he felt like reflecting on those precious moments of "normal" before things started hitting the fan…and wishing (rather futilely) that he could go back to those days, back to the days when he and his siblings were just innocent, ordinary Toons with their whole lives ahead of them, before they had to become soldiers in a fight that no-one in any world had ever asked for.

And as the plaintive strains of "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" by Elton John played in his ears and tears rolled down his cheeks, Yakko hoped beyond hope that the voices were wrong and that, for a change, everything was going to be OK.

The next day-which was the 13th, American Pacific Standard Time and the 14th, Japan Standard Time-Dot and Lexi slept in so that they could adjust to it being daytime in Japan while it was nighttime in California. Now, on a normal plane flight, doing that would mean arriving in Japan when it was late afternoon, but, just like her cousin, Gina was a fast swimmer, which meant the trio would be able to beat that clock and arrive just in time to see the Land of the Rising Sun wake up.

Dot had just completed a second check of her luggage when she heard an insistent car horn going off, which turned out to be Benny the Cab with Lexi as his passenger. The arrangement that the girls had made was that Lexi would pick up Dot and then the two would head for the Santa Monica Pier Area, but instead of taking one of the vehicles at Bugs' place, they would take Benny; he knew how to (legally) squeeze through traffic. As Dot began heading for the door, it seemed that Yakko decided to pepper her with last-minute, anxiety-fueled questions and tips, which she replied to with either a nod, a "yes", and/or a proper answer until she finally managed to shut him up with a goodbye kiss and hug.

"Hey, don't worry about us," Dot smiled. "We're all big, tough girls; can tie our own shoes and everything."

"But you don't wear shoes," Wakko pointed out.

The obviousness of that statement made Yakko and Dot laugh while the latter responded with, "Oh, you know what I mean!"

The Warner trio did one last group hug and rubbed noses before Dot finally got out the door and went down the ladder, bounding off the sixth rung up from the ground and into Benny's empty seat. With both girls aboard, Benny made his way to his next destination.

Gina was already at her normal height and waiting in the water when Lexi and Dot arrived. Since there was no-one to ferry them this time, Benny dropped them off near the Santa Monica Pier Police Office so that they could make their way down to the end of the pier itself and hop on. Once Gina made sure her passengers were ready and that Lexi had taken her seasickness medication ahead of time, she backed away from the pier, turned, and began the trio's journey to Japan.

And voila! That ends the prologue for my newest story "Sailor Guardians of the Multiverse: Book 1"! Despite all the heavy stuff, I hope you guys had some fun trying to guess who those sailor uniformed fighters where in the beginning as well as all the trivia that was here and thereabouts. I actually based the dream that Gina had at the beginning of the chapter on the dream that Mikey Kudo had in the beginning of the first episode of "Digimon Fusion", so that was fun.

As I've said, I've already made up a list of who my group of Sailor Guardians are, but I'm afraid you'll have to guess based on the dream and wait as this story progresses to find out who most of them are (well, the anime doesn't show all ten Sailor Guardians at once in the first season, so I'm not going to do that, either).

I should also tell you that going forward, I'll mostly be relying on the Viz Media dub of "Sailor Moon", as that is more up-to-date and has episodes that were missing from the DiC Entertainment dub so that you'll get the whole story. However, there are some details that I will lift from the latter dub in regards to certain characters, or they might just get omitted altogether because the focus will mainly rest on the visiting group. There are certain beliefs that I have and I am going to stick to them.

So, when this story starts, it's the anniversary of what happened in my fanfic-verse version of the first "Rebirth of Mothra" movie. I haven't gotten it written down yet because I want to finish the other "Godzilla: The New Adventures" stories first (I am so behind on those); therefore, when I write that part down again, it might come out a bit differently. For that quote that Mothra tells Godzilla, I actually got itand modified it from a pin I found on Pinterest; it features three pictures of Optimus Prime from "Transformers Prime" put together in a horizontal splitscreen fashion so that going from top to bottom, the words read: "You have bent your shoulders to hold the weight of the world you will surely shatter". It's such a sad picture, but considering that Optimus, Godzilla, and Godzilla's grandfather (whose voice sounds a bit like Optimus's) are in the leadership position, which is not an easy burden, I think those words fit, don't you? We also touch on Gina's relationship with the late Luke R. Bryce and the gift he gave her on their first date. And their first kiss. If you're wondering why the way that moment was described sounds familiar, think back to "The Princess and the Frog" when Naveen and Tiana kissed and became human again.

After Gina, comes Dot Warner, and a ton of exposition. Sorry. But yeah; Dot, her brothers, and her costars have been through quite a bit. Out of all the events listed, however, it seems that the most recent adventure has left its marks, good and bad. And it seems that most of the bad has come to sit on Yakko. I guess that Halloween segment in the reboot "Laughter and Fear in Burbank" left a bigger impact on me than I thought. For my guesstimation when Dot could have "come off the drawing board", I turned to another podcast that I've been listening to called "The Animanicast", in which three people go over episodes from the original "Animaniacs" show, including the movie "Wakko's Wish", as well as episodes from "Pinky and the Brain", "Tiny Toon Adventures", "Freakazoid!" (I actually had to watch the episodes first before listening for this one 'cause I had never seen the show before), and the "Animaniacs" reboot. Inbetween, they have special episodes where they'll talk about conventions, events relating to "Animaniacs", merchandise, go through an "Animaniacs" comic, or even have interviews with some of the people who have worked on "Animaniacs", like Tom Ruegger, Tom's sons Nathan (Skippy), Luke (The Flame), and Cody (the baby bluebird—aww!), Colin Wells AKA "The Randy Beaman Kid", John P. McCann, and a few others. They've even managed to get Randy Rogel and Rob Paulsen on an episode, and on another, a reunion of the Goodfeathers. On one of the episodes-well, two of them, actually—Tom Ruegger shares some audition tapes. On #63a, it was mostly Wakko Warner auditions that were done before Jess came in, so I heard VAs like Nancy Cartwright, Maurice LaMarche, and Frank Welker try out their own Wakko Warner. To my own surprise, even Rob Paulsen had a go at it! But getting back on track, what I was looking for was a date, and Tom said that those auditions had been held in April of 1992, so I kinda put it between late April and early May (besides, you have to give them some time to get the episodes made before you put them on the air).

*sigh* It's not easy being the oldest sibling, that I can attest to, but it seems to be sitting heavily on Yakko Warner, and if you know "Stranger Things" and what happened during that series, can you blame him? Yakko liking the song "Smile" pretty much comes from the same source I used to explain Pinky singing the song in "Knight Mice" and him liking Elton John songs pretty much comes from Rob singing "Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting)" in Yakko's voice on his podcast as well as a fanfic called "Too Young to Be Singing the Blues" in which Yakko plays the piano and sings "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" while thinking about what happened during "Fear and Laughter in Burbank" (unfortunately, I think it's been deleted (gives a frustrated groan)). Anyway, Yakko decides to make the choice to trust the three girls and they're on their way, little knowing what's around the corner.

Now, for the questions:

If you could, how would you answer Gina's questions that she has about the dream she had?

What would you tell young Gina as Mothra starts dying from her wounds? What words would you offer to her parents? To Leo? To Mothra herself?

Why do you think Gina got a bit defensive when Dot mentioned that Gina had probably left an impression on Calamity Coyote?

If you were in Yakko's place, what would you say to Dot's request? What would you say to him in regards to the suffering he's feeling?

Do you think that it was either a good idea or a bad idea for Godzilla, Yakko, and Ace to let Gina, Dot, and Lexi go on this trip?

Not a lot of questions, but hopefully they're the ones that encompass the important points. Can't wait to read your reviews and your answers!

Next time, Gina, Dot, and Lexi arrive at their destination, only to find that the weather in Jūban is less than nominal; little do they know that the Jūban they'll be stepping into isn't the one they'll be expecting. Meanwhile, someone else arrives, but via mysterious circumstances; and this fourth new arrival is more than meets the eye.

Until then, please read and review! Thank you!
