Prologue:

"Harry Potter...is DEAD!"

Ginny's scream pierced through Harry's heart, and he wanted so badly to show her somehow that he was actually alive to ease her pain. Nobody ever expected him to actually die despite facing death more than anyone else. Voldemort's laughter echoed through everyone's ears, and Ron, Hermione, and the rest of the Weasley family felt as much grief as they did after losing Fred. It was simply an unbelievable moment.

All she saw was red when she stupidly decided to lunge towards Voldemort. Molly tried to hold her back, but she was too late. Ginny was racing towards him with her wand high, and tears streaming down her face. Voldemort was more than happy to reunite her with her loved one. Panic overtook Harry as soon as he realized what was going on, but before she could get any closer, he wiggled out of Hagrid's large hands and dropped to the stone below. Ginny stopped immediately, and she thought she was seeing ghosts for a second. "Harry..." She whispered.

At the realization that Voldemort was simply unable to kill Harry Potter, the death eaters started to walk. Including Narcissa, who knew she had to leave at once. She reached for Draco and pulled him away, and then called out to her husband, who was torn on what to do. Voldemort was deadly, but clearly not deadly enough to kill a stupid boy. So he started to walk, too.

It was a tense moment for everybody, but instead of giving his attention to Harry, he instead turned his back on him and stared at the back of Narcissa's head. He was seething with anger because of her lies, and he hissed out loud. "Nagimi," he whispered to his snake. "Kill."

It was best that her back was turned while he attacked, because then at least it'd be less painful and expected. In a way, Voldemort was doing her a favor, which he couldn't say to the others. Lucius and Draco fell to the ground while Narcissa got bitten multiple times, and she eventually bled out. Her complexion grew more pale by the second, and her eyes became lifeless. Draco cradled his mother's face and cried out loud, and Lucius turned stone cold. After everything they did for Voldemort, and this is how he repay them? Lucius was so angry that he didn't quite know how to feel.

He certainly wasn't thinking clearly. Next thing he knew he was gliding back over to Voldemort, who's back was still facing Harry, and he slashed Nagimi's neck. Voldemort staggered a bit, and Neville shouted to Harry, "Catch!" It was the sword of Gryffindor. Without hesitating, he forced the sword to go all the way through Voldemort's body. Lucius' eyes widened slightly when Voldemort froze for a second, and when he collapsed to the ground, a lifeless body once more. The moment was such a surreal one that even Harry didn't quite realize what happened. It was because of Lucius Malfoy that Harry was finally able to defeat Voldemort. What an odd pairing that one was.

When it finally registered in his mind, Lucius felt free. It was something that he hadn't felt in a long time, and it certainly felt good. Now as he looked up at Harry, he realized something else. "Harry is the one I need to kill."

After all, it was because of him that Narcissa died. Had she not lied to Voldemort about him being dead, which he clearly was not, then Voldemort would've had no reason to be angry. It was all because of this stupid boy that his wife died, and that his son was grieving.

Lucius raised his wind at Harry, but Harry didn't move. "You killed my wife." He said to him. Harry furrowed his eyebrows because he was quite sure that he had nothing to do with that.

"I didn't kill anybody." Harry reminded him. Surely he was just upset, and rightfully so.

But Lucius didn't listen. "Now, I'll kill someone you love." He swung his arm over to the Weasley's, but there was no one in particular. Still, that didn't stop them from gathering around Ginny. Lucius chuckled, and then he said, "I'll kill them all then."

"No!" Harry begged.

"Avada Ked-" Lucius started, but Harry moved fast to interfere. He ran at Lucius and knocked him to the ground, sending a green beam of light straight into the air, and not at one single person. Then he ran right past the Weasley's, who were now safe because of him. If he wanted to kill Harry, then so be it. Nobody else was going to die because of him.

Ginny's eyes were still welled up with tears when she saw Harry running into the castle, but she managed to catch up to him pretty soon. She lost him once already, and she didn't want it to happen again. Harry didn't know she was behind him because the sound of his breathing was so heavy and loud that it was the only thing he could focus on, but when he felt somebody grab his arm all of a sudden, he panicked.

Then, he and Ginny simply disappeared.
