CHAPTER FOUR

The Plot Thickens...

And Candy Is Eaten...

After screaming for a minute or so, Saitama stood up, noticing how much blood he had gotten on himself. "That'll be a pain to wash out." He then looked back at the two other heroes, who continued to stare at him dumfounded. "Oh... you two ok?..."

No response was uttered from their mouths, as they stood unmoving. Saitama strode over and flicked the two heroes on the nose. "Guys... wake up." he said, continuing to flick them on the nose before they regained their composure. Uravity slapped his hands away as she looked Deku over once more, nervous at how injured he looked. He still held that dumfounded stare.

"I think your friend here is broken," Saitama said bluntly to Uravity.

"Physically, yes. Mentally, no. It'll be a second before he snaps out of it. What I want to know is--"

"How did you do that?" asked Deku, still holding that dumbfounded look.

""Speak of the devil..." said Uravity.

"You... you killed that monster... with only one punch..."

"Oh, yeah." Saitama said, with his monotone voice.

"That... was... INCREDIBLE!!!" Deku shrieked.

"Eh?..." Saitama muttered, a questioning look on his face.

"I used 20% of my power and that didn't do anything, but you hit him with one punch, and he exploded!!! I still can't believe that happened!!! What's your quirk? Is it a strength enhancement quirk? Or maybe a speed quirk, and you move so fast that the force can destroy things on impact--" Deku continued to ramble on, mostly to himself, while Uravity rolled her eyes and Saitama stood confused, a large bead of sweat forming on his face. It was official. Deku was in "Full Fan-boy Mode".

Saitama, not knowing what else to do, looked over to Uravity for assistance. She nodded and then said to Deku, "You're hurt. Why don't we get you to Recovery Girl and then we can ask questions later?"

Deku, now realizing he'd been rambling, sheepishly grinned and said, "Sorry, Mr. Saitama. I tend to get a little excited about quirks and all. Uravity's right. We should get back to U.A. High and plan what to do next. There might be people there who can identify who you are as well."

A thought occurred to Uravity, as she looked around. "Wait, why haven't any heroes or the police shown up yet? They should have been here by now."

Deku looked around as well, realizing that Uravity was right. "Where are they?..." He then punctuated his last sentence with, "I think there's something very unusual going on around here. We need to get back to U.A. High and find out what's going on."

"Huh... I thought that much was obvious..." muttered Saitama, "Well, as always, screw logic. Let's go to that school of your's then. Um... where exactly might that be?..."

"Over that way, towards the west side of Musutafu," stated Uravity, pointing in the indicated direction, "but we should really--"

Saitama sped off, running at super speed, a cloud of dust left in his wake. Uravity and Deku alike choked on the sudden amount of dust they both inhaled. Suddenly, Saitama ran back, standing stock still in front of them. "Oh... I almost forgot... do you two need a lift?..."

Uravity brushed away the billowing dust in front of her and Deku and replied, "Yes that would be greatly appreciated, Mr. Saitama." She then used her Zero G on Deku, walking as he clung to her neck, his face beet red with blushing. She then hopped on to Saitama. "Hold tight..." he said before taking off at high speed, Uravity and Deku holding on to each other for dear life as they were pulled in the direction of there school. At the speed in which they were going, they would no doubt reach their school in under a minute.

But what they didn't notice as they left was the next being to emerge from the portal. From the sky fell another man, who landed calmly on his legs as the street cracked under the force of his fall. His body hummed a mechanical tune, power coursing through his cybernetic veins. His blonde hair whipped about in the wind and his eyes glowed a steady orange upon his face. "I don't know where you are, Master Saitama, but I will find you..." said Genos, stepping out of his footprints imprinted in the street and walking in the direction of the dust up ahead.

Saitama and company had finally reached U.A. High, stopping at the walkway that lead up towards the main entrance of the school. He came to a complete stop, not accounting for the inertia of his two cohorts, who flung over his head and slammed down on the ground. Deku groaned in pain. Though he had the effects of Zero G, Uravity did not.

"Oh, sorry Deku," she said with embarrassment, getting off of his injured body and gingerly lifting him onto his feet.

"Nice school," said Saitama, oblivious to the increased pain Deku was experiencing, "where is everyone?"

"I don't know," huffed Deku in pain, "but we should stop by Recovery Girl's office first before we do anything else."

"Right," said Uravity, as she wrapped her arm around him and began to walk towards the entryway way. Saitama followed slowly from behind.

After spending several minutes hobbling down the many hallways of U.A. High, the trio finally happened upon Recovery Girl's office, entering through the front door.

"What happened now?" asked Recovery Girl as she hopped off her chair behind her desk. She was getting used to seeing Deku most days with some of the most startling injuries when he turned up at her door.

"We had to deal with a monster appearance over on Jung-Lo street. Deku got the worst of it," explained Uravity, helping Deku up onto a gurney.

"Certainly looks like it," said Recovery Girl, as her lips grew in size, stretching towards Deku's bloodied head and smooching him.

Uravity and Saitama both shuddered at the sight of an old lady's lips stretching out for a kiss.

"Now, he'll need to rest for a few hours to regain is health, so I'll let him recover in here. So... who is this fellow you have here with you, Uraraka?" Recovery Girl turned over towards Saitama, who was unwrapping candies from a jar on her desk and eating them. Already, there were five discarded wrappers on her desk.

"Well..." started Uravity, "this is Saitama. He says he goes by the hero name 'Caped Baldy', only he isn't listed under the World Hero Association. He said he was listed under the Hero Association."

"Hmm, how interesting. Let me see if I can find anything on him." At that, she made her way back to her desk and began typing away at the computer stationed there. Uravity stood behind to watch her at work, while Saitama stood at her other side sucking away at a lollipop he had managed to find.

After a few minutes of the sounds of typing and lollipop sucking echoing throughout the room, Recovery Girl paused her typing as her brows furrowed together. "Hmm... I can't find anything related to this man regarding both heroes and villains. Nothing even in the public records. It's almost like..." She paused as she turned to face the other two, "he never existed to begin with..."

Uravity and Recovery Girl now both faced Saitama with the same level of intrigue and concern painted on their faces. He continued to suck away at his lollipop, until he noticed the concerned stares of the other two. He then pulled his candy out and said, "What... Is there something in my teeth?..."

Hello again, my fellow fanfic readers! As always, I'm still busy jotting up ideas and stuff for the upcoming chapters, but I hope you enjoyed this one. Thanks, romeroFan, for the uplifting comment and the story ideas too. I felt that now was a good time to throw Genos headfirst into the story, and I do plan to keep tabs on him as the story continues, but he most likely won't be joining the gang until the next great enemy approaches. As always, your comments and story tips are much appreciated, and I hope to be back shortly with another chapter.
