"Faith!"

She turned around to see her little sister run after her, only to be stopped by her parents. Tears rolling down her cheeks as her little hand reached out to her.

She wanted to go back with them, to be with them, but it was useless. Once a Lord or Lady made their mind of selling, that's all it took. And she was the one to pay this time.

Faith reached back for her, but the guards pulled her along, nearly dragging her to the car that awaited her and her new owner.

"I'll be back one day Mary, I promise."

"Faith?"

Faith shook her head lightly, ridding the memories of past as she was spoken to, "Yes?"

"Are you alright?" Marie asked.

She let out a sigh, "Yes I am, just stressed with all that has been going on in this place. Hard to keep everything together when you are the hand to the home."

"Oh," the young girl nodded, "I did not realize how much there was to be a hand. Do you think that I may become one, just like you?"

'Oh, child, you don't want this.' She thought to herself, but smiled lightly at her, "I see why not. I was taught young, just like you. You may never know where you will end up. Maybe even in a better home, to even something bigger than the Madam's."

"Like the World Leader's hand?!"

"Who knows, you may just be that lucky and see different parts of the world."

"That would be amazing."

Faith smiled at the girl, hiding her true emotions away. She didn't want that world for kids, let alone people her age and older. Shit, people at all for that matter. But, it didn't matter anymore.

Gathering the materials at hand, Faith made her way to the Madam's study. It wouldn't last long. Never did when the Madam was determined on something, but this was a little different than before. With a knock, she opened the vast door and saw the woman sitting at her desk, pen flying over papers as she rested her head on the other hand.

"Madam?" Faith cautiously called, "I have brought your tea and scones for you. Plus the paperwork and layouts for the new room you requested."

Now that got the woman's attention. Sharp grey eyes landed on her as a sickening wide smile grew on her wrinkled face. The Madam patted the end of her desk, moving papers and more out of the way so she could look at her new toys at hand.

"Marvelous!" The woman nearly cheered, "I have been patiently awaiting these. Took that old pervert long enough."

"Pervert Madam?"

"Oh you know." She said laying the papers out, "Kingsley always has an eye out for women. The younger the better I heard him say. Even I cross a line once so many years are involved. Now then."

Faith glanced over the papers, feeling a chill shoot down her spine. Tables with heavy duty straps and stirrups, drainage valves, and spots for tools and more laid within the schematic lines of the piece. She knew what it was for and what would happen once he got in there, and that she wouldn't even wish upon her worst enemy.

"He did as told, everything is where it should be and how it will work."

"Is this for the man we saw the other day?"

The Madam's wicked smile came her way, "That it is. A few of us within Haven have decided to try a new formate in reaching our goal and it involves this room and that man. Plus some hands of the house."

"Hands?"

"Oh now you have nothing to worry about." The woman waved her hand, "I value you too much to taint you like that. Now, if I had my hands on the Willingham's one had I truly would have done that without thinking. But a lost cause in that too."

Faith nodded, knowing she spoke of Laine and the home she once occupied.

"But, before anyone else gets him, I have him first. Oh, I want him to be in that room of mine and before me," the woman shivered in need, "God I wonder how well he is."

"A woman can dream, and for you Madam, you will have it come true."

The Madam chuckled, "That I shall. Which reminds me, we have to go down to that facility this week at some point, they are saying he has gotten a bit hostile. Maybe if he sees me he will quiet down for them."

Faith nodded in agreement to her, "Then we shall go soon then. Is there anything more of me you need, Madam?"

"Oh no Faith, you have done me well. Thank you for bringing these up and for being such a good hand to me."

"You are ever welcome, Madam."

Giving a light bow, Faith left the room, letting a tiresome sigh out again as a flash caught her eye. She knew what that was from the wall, no doubt about it. Dismissing herself from the home, she nearly ran to the wall once she was out of sight of the house. Her lungs burned in anticipation and knowing as the device in hand was almost heavy with knowledge.

Rounding the corner, she saw the light haired woman as her prosthetic stood out, "Laine."

Bright aqua eyes landed on her, as the usual cheery smile came to her, "Faith."

She gave the woman a tight hug, glad to see someone other than the Haven residence.

"Glad to see you again."

Laine held her at arms length, "As am I. It seems too long almost but not in reality. How is everything here?"

Faith handed her the phone, recordings and pictures laying within to help them on the outside and her within.

"Good, no one saw you?"

"No, I have spoken with Caroline like you asked."

The woman lit up, "Really, what was her reply?"

Faith smiled, "She said she will join. I have scouted a few others that may be on the same path as we are but still a little shaky. I have not said anything else to them. Caroline is the only one that fully knows."

She swore she saw tears forming in Laine's eyes, "I can't thank you enough for getting her and others to help. We all have discussed the fact that there may be more to our facility and many that follow us. It's just a matter of time until it truly happened."

"Any others on the outside?"

"A few here and there, people that are like Haven yet not in ways."

"Anything helps."

"That it does." Laine said, "So have they spoken on where he is hidden?"

Faith shook her head, "No, we were taking in a darkened car and made to wear coverings over our eyes until told to take them off. I wish I had more help for you."

"Even knowing Roland is alive, is enough for us."

Alright. I cannot keep you long nor can I stay long. They will start to worry and patrol will be out in force soon."

"I know," Laine replied, "It's why I say a fortnight for each time we meet, it makes it easier."

"That it does." Faith said, giving her another hug, "Be safe and give Heather a hug for me."

"Will do."

Then she was gone. Faith felt a wave of unease and calm roll over her in a strange combination, but she knew it had to be done. She just felt bad she didn't tell the whole truth.

"When they construct that pathway from the home to him," she said to herself seeing her home come to view, "I will personally get him out of there before her people do."

She glanced back at the wall, knowing true freedom lied outside it, "Before the Madam has him as well. I will get him out, cause he's only quiet for me."
