CHAPTER 1
(QUAGMIRE'S P.O.V)
It was the night before Halloween Peter, Joe, Cleveland, and myself were sitting on some lawn chairs drinking beer. "Do you guys remember the time we were invited to James Woods mansion?." (Season 9 episode 1) Joe spoke up suddenly, as Peter and myself groaned in annoyance at the memory. "James Woods mansion?." Cleveland repeated frowning. "I don't remember being invited." "You wouldn't be living in Cleveland at the time when it happened." Peter responded matter of factly. "I'll tell ya one thing," I said, taking the last gulp of my beer. "I will never accept another mysterious invitation, and a date with a chick like Stephanie again."
"Yeah she was a bit much." Peter grinned as I grimaced at the memory. "I don't know if you noticed that day Quagmire," Joe said, turning to face me. "But everyone could see that you didn't want to date that girl." "Forget Quagmire and Stephanie for a moment. Do you remember when everything unfolded I nearly lost Lois, and that Dianne Simmons almost got away with it?." Peter asked incredulously. Peter gave an unexpected laugh, that then suddenly turned into sobbing uncontrollably. "I nearly lost Lois!," Peter sobbed the gravity of the past situation finally catching up to him. "I'll go get Lois," I said, sprinting over to the Griffin's house. Sometimes Peter had small emotional episodes, and as one of his close friends I was accustomed to it.
However my thoughts lingered on Stephanie. Just another one of my past mistakes I regret. I don't know what I was thinking when I dated her. Twenty minutes later Lois took Peter to their house, while Joe and Cleveland went home to their families. I was about to pack up the lawn chairs and head inside, because Chloe (Season 13 episode 2) and I were about to go jogging around the neighborhood. When I noticed an exceptionally shiny coin that lay on the ground. As I picked it up, I recognized the coin to be Peter's. When we all first sat down, he showed us the coin, and explained it was an Irish coin from a leprechaun. He said if you made a wish on it, then your wish would come through. Peter further explained that he made a silent wish before we had all sat down, and would wait to see if it would come through. I of course didn't believe in the coin and its powers, but would give the coin back to him tomorrow.
