Salt air, and the rust on your door
I never needed anything more

Cuanmara was a stunning planet, coated in pure white, soft sands and shining blue seas that could be seen lightyears away. Salt lingered through the air and the gentle breeze just prevented it from being too hot.

For the first time in years, Obi-Wan could feel at peace. The Clone Wars still hovered in the background, but for now, it felt like a distant dream. The Masters had forced him to take a break after spending months on endless, backbreaking missions. It just so happened that his forced break had coincided with Satine having her annual break, and some secret logistics later, both were standing on the deck of the hut they were vacationing in.

"It looks so lovely," she commented, her head on his shoulder and a glass of wine in her hand.

"I think this is the one place in the whole galaxy that has not been spoiled by the war," he replied, his thumb gently stroking her shoulder.

"I thought we were not going to speak about the war."

"Sorry, a force of habit." Obi-Wan sipped his wine and pushed a stray hair from her eyes. Her face was bare, her hair just hanging loose and her clothing very simple. She was beautiful, and he had always thought so since they were just teenagers. Back then, she had been covered in mud and debris, and still, she looked ethereal.

"I was rather surprised you asked me to come with you," she stated.

"Really?"

"I thought you would consider it too risky."

"My dear, we started to play risky games years ago."

"Oh, is that what you call it?" There was a flirtatious smirk on her lips. "I would call it releasing tensions."

"You mean when we would argue one minute and then the next you were kissing me?"

"It was much more than kissing."

"At one point it started to feel like you would pick fights for the sake of it."

"It kept Qui-Gon from being suspicious, and out of the way."

"I guess we did get on his nerves." He wrapped his arms around her waist and leaned in to kiss her. He noticed there was a difference in the taste, and he had a guess he had something to do with the salty air. He did not pull away; in fact, he loved it. "I have missed this."

"The kissing or the bickering?" she questioned kissing him again.

"Both my dear. I love how you get under my skin. You may be the most infuriating woman I have ever met, but you have been the only one who has managed to get to my heart."

"No others?"

"A couple of flirtations, but it has only ever been you."

"Since you were nineteen, I am impressed."

"It was not that long ago."

"It's been nearly twenty years."

"Twenty years and the Duchess of Mandalore has no consort?"

"I meant what I said when I said I loved you from the moment you came to my aid."

"The very first moment you saw me?"

"Well, if you took away the hair, you were extremely handsome. What was a girl to do?"

"Well, I do- Wait. What was wrong with my hair?"

"Do I have to bring up the… could you even call that a ponytail?"

Obi-Wan stared at her blankly. "This is a huge improvement." Her hands caressed the back of his auburn hair, her fingers raking through the thickness.

"It was longer. You probably would have hated it."

"Honestly, my dear Obi-Wan, anything would be an improvement over the ponytail." Obi-Wan laughed and pulled her in for a kiss again. Only the sound of her stomach grumbling broke his focus.

"I think we should probably eat."

"I mean your stomach is getting in the way of my seduction plan."

"Your seduction plan?"

"Fill you up with wine and these stunning surroundings."

"Obi-Wan, you do not need wine to seduce me." She kissed him deeper this time, her tongue massaging his tongue. The taste of salt and the wine melded in each other's mouths, until a very loud groan emitted from her stomach broke them apart. "Okay, I understand why this is a distraction."

Obi-Wan laughed and kissed her forehead. He took her hand and led her to the kitchen. She was a much better cook than him, so he let her decide what to eat and begin the preparation. He guessed it was some sort of pasta dish, given the array of vegetables that he had barely managed to eat most days. He was lucky that he took a vitamin and mineral capsule just to ensure he was not deficient.

"Do you mind dicing the tomatoes?" she asked. Obi-Wan nodded and began to help with the slicing of the vegetables. "Reminds me of when we had to prepare dinner when Qui-Gon left us to cool off."

"That was before we started sleeping together."

"I know I said I fell in love with you the second I saw you, but I think that night was the moment I realised I was in love with you." Obi-Wan went quiet. "What?"

"It's just that I didn't realise that I was in love with you until I had to leave you." It took him a moment to register the hurt and frustration at the confession on Satine's face. "I'm sorry it took me so long."

"It's not a problem. I don't think it would have changed the outcome of what happened anyway. You would have finished your training, and I would be ruling Mandalore."

"Is that why you never asked me to stay?"

"I loved you too much to pull you from a life you only knew. Maybe if there were different circumstances, I might have considered it."

"Such as?"

"I don't know. We weren't always the most careful."

"You mean you might have considered asking me to stay if you were pregnant."

"I wouldn't have forced you to stay for the sake of the child, but you would have had a right to know at least."

Obi-Wan put down his knife and tilted her head to look at him, "I would not have felt forced. I love you. I would have stayed for you."

"Oh Obi," she whispered before he captured her lips with his. "I wish I could tell you to leave now."

"I wish I could leave now."

Satine held back the tears as much as she could as they continued to prepare their meal. The vegetables were stewed and the pasta was cooked, and Satine finally felt sated.

"I have not eaten that in years," she confessed.

"I haven't eaten a meal that good in years," Obi-Wan replied. He noticed there was a little sauce on the corner of her mouth and used his thumb to wipe it away. "I think we should take a walk."

"No seduction plan?"

"I think we should get some air."

The sand was still warm under their feet as they walked along the front, the waves gently lapping at their ankles. Satine laced her hand with his and her head was resting on his shoulder. It was just pure serenity for them.

"I never realised that the ocean had so many colours in it," Satine commented. They both looked out and saw the mix of blue, grey and green in the water. The sun was just setting, giving it a hint of pink and orange as well. "I do have a question."

"Why am I not surprised?"

"You said you had a seduction plan."

"That's not a question, my dear."

"I'm just asking if we were not here on Cuanmara, how would you have planned to 'seduce me'?"

"I have had some ideas since we reunited. I thought about taking you out to dinner. You would be in a dress that would be irresistible to not touch, me picturing your body underneath the material. We would dance, your body pressed against mine. We would return to your apartment…"

"That does sound rather lovely… but I think I prefer this. Just being able to be alone with you without any interruptions is just everything I need."

Obi-Wan pressed his lips to hers and then Satine tugged at the hem of her pink tunic. "You want to… here?"

"No, I want to go in the water. Are you coming?" She still had her underwear on, and Obi-Wan had to process the image of her against the setting sun. The orange nearly made her hair look like gold. Her body had more gentle curves in contrast to the more athletic build he had been used to, and her full breasts looked very edible. She undid the hooks of the underwear holding them in place before chirping, "Shirt off."

Obi-Wan obeyed and discarded the tunic covering his upper half. He looked far different from the days when he was a Padawan. He was much scrawnier back then and did not have the wiry hair coating his chest. His shoulders were wider, his pectorals more defined and there was some semblance of abdominal muscles. The only real issues were the scars, burns and welts.

"Age has done us some wonders," Satine commented, her chest pressing against his. She took his hand and they walked into the water. It was warm and the waves were gentle.

Obi-Wan felt the salt sting the fresher wounds he had acquired. The hiss that escaped his lips slightly worried Satine, especially when she saw the red raw wound on his left shoulder. It was not a blaster wound, so it had to have been engaged in lightsaber combat.

"How did that happen?" she asked, tracing her finger over it.

"Dooku. Just caught the edge of the blade."

"It seems like you get a new injury every time I see you." He wanted to say that it was inevitable in war, but he promised not to mention it. "I bet you still have that old blaster wound on your waist."

"The burn mark has faded, but you can make out where the skin is slightly discoloured."

"I am surprised that you and I even managed to make love after that."

"I had a very good medic."

Obi-Wan kissed her, moaning at the taste of salt on her lips, and pulled her closer so his hand could stroke her back and lace his fingers in her damp, tousled hair. Satine's hand rested on his lower back. She could feel the raised skin under her fingers and her heart slightly broke at the image of him being repeatedly hurt.

His lips detached from hers and he peppered small kisses along her jawline, his rough beard brushing against her soft skin. She took the hand that was in her hair and placed it on her breast. Obi-Wan instinctively massaged the soft globe of her chest and rolled his thumb over her nipple. Satine hummed at the sensation and whimpered as his lips moved lower along her pale neck, her collarbone and finally the rosy peak of her other breast.

Obi-Wan savoured the taste of her flesh mixed in with the salty water as he flicked his tongue over the hardening nipple. Satine's hand raked through his hair and she found herself grinding against his thigh in the hope to release some pressure on her core.

"Hold on Satine," he said, releasing her breast from his mouth. "This might not be the best place."

Satine nodded and the pair got out of the ocean, Satine just grabbing Obi-Wan's tunic to cover her upper body as they nearly ran back to the hut. The pair practically crashed into each other as they moved towards the bedroom. Obi-Wan lifted Satine into his arms and laid her gently on the white sheets. She discarded the tunic and her underwear leaving her beautifully bare.

She watched as he undid his damp breeches and her eyes widened as he was already half hard for her. She sat up so she was perched on the edge of the bed and kissed over his abdomen. One hand reached for a firm buttock as she pressed a kiss to the tip of his member.

She smirked as she heard him slightly moan at the feeling of her lips and then a groan emerged when she took him into her mouth. He was like velvet and steel under her tongue. Her mouth moved gently along his shaft, her tongue lapping at the precome emerging from the tip.

Obi-Wan's head fell back and his hand rested on her head, his fingers gripping the strands of her hair. Her mouth was so warm and wet around him, and he would have happily allowed her to continue her ministrations, especially when she sucked hard on the head.

However, he was aware that he might not last much longer and gently he tugged her lips away from his erection. She wiped the remnants of his arousal from her mouth and smirked at his flushed face.

She lay back down with her thighs open so Obi-Wan could see her folds glistening with arousal. Obi-Wan's face dropped.

He climbed on top of her and kissed her lips, and his hand slipped between them, his finger rolling her clit. She moaned into his mouth and whimpered when his lips broke apart from hers. He licked along her neck in the hope that the ocean water permeated her flesh.

"You taste delicious," he groaned as his tongue moved between her breasts. Satine arched her back as his lips and tongue ran over her stomach. She was deliquescing under his touch, especially as his thumbs massaged her hips.

"Obi-Wan," she sighed, her hand stroking his hair.

He smiled at the shakiness of her breath and moved his lips lower. He inhaled her natural scent, so sweet but now with the added tang of the ocean.

He wrapped his arms around her thighs, widening them a little more and he made a small circle around her entrance with his tongue. He grinned as her hips elevated off the bed at the touch. He licked her with earnest, no plan or rhythm; he wanted to feel her and her desire. He alternated between licking and sucking her folds and clit as he lapped up her secretions.

Satine managed to prop herself up on her elbows so she could watch him between her thighs. Her breaths were shallow and when he looked up at her, his blue eyes hooded with lust, her head fell back.

Her legs began to quiver under his touch and his tongue plunged into her. His nose brushed against her clit and he pulled away for a moment. He grinned at the sight of her chest heaving and her face twisted in pleasure. He could have come just from that image alone.

Obi-Wan's fingers slid into her and massaged her walls, crooking his fingers so they just hit the right spot. She cried out at the new stimulation and her elbows nearly buckled when he attached his lips to her swollen clitoris. With just one stroke of his fingers and tongue, Satine's eyes blacked out and all she saw were stars as the wave of pleasure engulfed her body.

Obi-Wan guided her through the peak until she stopped writhing and convulsing against his mouth. Obi-Wan pulled back, placed a quick kiss on her sensitive clit and gently kissed up her body to her lips.

"You okay?" he whispered, his thumb stroking over her pink cheek. Satine nodded and pulled him in for a deeper kiss. When they broke apart, they smiled at each other adoringly. "You seem to experience something rather magical there, my dear."

"For a man who is meant to be the pinnacle of virtue, that tongue is wicked," she replied. She kissed him again and moaned when she felt the tip of his member just pressing against her entrance.

Gently, he pushed into her, groaning at the feeling of her tight, hot and wet around him. It felt like home being joined with her. Satine whimpered in satisfaction as he filled and stretched her just enough.

As he began to move inside her, Obi-Wan's hand went to find hers, lacing the fingers together. "I love you," he said softly, pressing his lips to the spot just below her ear.

Satine's fingers threaded through his hair and she whispered, "I love you too."

The pair were caught in the feeling of peace and serenity of becoming one, moans of euphoria merging in the warm air. Obi-Wan's tongue licked over her pulse point as Satine's hip moved to meet his. As the pace of the thrusts increased, Satine wrapped her thighs around his waist, the change of angle emitting a cry from her lips as he hit the spot that she was aching for him the most.

The scent of salt, sweat and sex lingered in the air. More importantly, they both felt safe.

The tell-tale signs of his orgasm were appearing, as his thrusts felt less coordinated. Her name slipped from his lips like an orison and his lips brushed against hers. Satine's toes clenched as the waves of her orgasm bubbled in her stomach.

Her nerves were tingling and she begged Obi-Wan to move faster. He did not have to be asked twice. He did not know where he ended and where she began, but it did not matter. His hand moved between them, his finger brushing over her hypersensitive clit and Satine froze.

Her blue eyes snapped open and her body trembled violently. Obi-Wan groaned loudly as she contracted around him, and he had no choice but to follow. His body shook as he spilt inside her, his arms struggling to hold himself up.

He shifted his weight so he did not crush her, and kissed her chastely. Satine smiled against his mouth as she felt the ebbs of her orgasm just leaving her body. Her arms wrapped around his body and treasured the security he was providing her.

Obi-Wan could feel himself softening in her and he pulled out, collapsing onto his side. Satine rolled onto her side so she was facing him and their damp foreheads pressed together.

"You don't know how long it took me to learn to breathe again when I let you go," she whispered. "I wish I never did let you go."

Tears welled in Satine's eyes and Obi-Wan used his thumb to wipe them away. He kissed her forehead and hugged her close. "I hate that I know I will have to leave you again." He pressed soft kisses all over her face, not willing to let her go. He could see that her eyes were fighting sleep. "We do have three whole days together."

"We can act like a proper couple for once."

"Dates, dinners, dances… I am going to give you the best time Satine Kryze. I'm yours." The sound of the ocean echoed through the window, lulling them both to a very contented sleep in each other's arms. Satine drifted off first, her neck buried in his neck. As the blanket of sleep engulfed Obi-Wan, he whispered, "Rest well, my love."
