Chapter 1
Author's Note : This isinspired by season 3. Let me know what you think.?
I had been going on auto pilot. I had still had life and school to deal with. Which is why i couldn't fall apart. The way i wanted too.
Peyton and Haley being my roommate especially had seen the cracks in my armor. But i was desperate to move past that hook up with Chris. I regretted it instantly.
Technically Lucas and I weren't a couple yet it still felt like a betrayal. Especially since he was treating me as if i broke his heart.
Which i did. But my heart was broke just as much if not more.
I had spent the entire summer writing letters to a boy i never planned for him to actually read. Which is why they were still hidden under my bed.
He's not parading around with Rachel anymore. Just going out of his way to avoid me. And i think that hurts more.
We aren't friends. We aren't anything.
...
"At some point you're going to stop freezing her out right.?" Peyton asked.
Lucas looked to her. The two were seated on seperate benches at the River Court.
With everything they were both dealing with. They decided to skip school today.
Lucas sighed deeply. "I haven't thought that far into the future." He replied.
Peyton glared at him. "Lucas this whole attitude shift. Is not exactly warm and welcoming to anyone else. I get that you're hurt and feel as if she did this on purpose. But i promise you. You're wrong."
"I haven't seen Brooke broken up like this since the two of you broke up the first time."
"Talk it out and fix things. She forgave us. Forgive her." Peyton insisted.
...
"So you're really just going to hide out from the world in this apartment again.?" Haley questioned. As she finished getting dressed.
"Yes. Time to let mask fall and actually deal with my feelings."
"Plus there's a rom com marathon on. That helps." Brooke replied.
"Everything is going to be okay Tigger. You'll see." Haley proclaimed. Giving Brooke a quick hug before she left for school.
