Just so you know, this is my first fanfiction ever, and I've had no experience in writing stuff before. So A LOT of things could be wrong.
And if you're wondering…
There will be only one (and a half (kind of)) OC in this fic. Yes, they DID make their first appearance here in this story, but this OC Is the OC that appears whenever I think of myself as participating in any story, and yes, with overpowered abilities and pretty much a Gary Sue, but of course, no one wants that in a story, right? So yeah, you won't be seeing a single person defeating an entire army with ease.
By the way, this story is VERY inspired by The Subspace Emissary's Worlds Conquest made by AuraChannelerChris, one of the longest pieces of literature ever made. You should go check it out in case you haven't already.
Also, I haven't played Super Smash Bros Ultimate so i'll be mostly basing this on gameplays.
Disclaimer: I do not own anything in this fanfic, I only own my OC.
Chapter 1: World of Light and Darkness
With an army of Master Hands under its control, Galeem sought to create a new world.
The fighters and their countless stories…
came to an end as light consumed them.
Thus, the universe was crushed in the hands of Galeem.
Those who fought the light were devoured.
The others lost their bodies and became spirits.
Only one survived…
or was that true…?
A star of hope twinkles faintly as the dust settles on a new world.
Galeem copied the fallen fighters, creating empty puppets in their likenesses…
Then, Galeem forced the captive spirits to pull the puppets' strings.
This army of puppet fighters spread themselves across the last remaining world.
Can anyone free the spirits of Galeem's control?
Is there any hope for the fallen fighters?
The journey to defeat Galeem begins…

Akira's House - Bedroom
There was a person sitting on a chair near the desktop of the room.
"Ugh… I'm finally done with my homework…" The teen said as he dropped his head onto the desktop.
Hi there, my name is Akira Mikabe. I'm a highschooler living in London. Yes, I was born in Japan, the city of Sendai, to be exact. To explain why I'm here... Both of my parents died in a car accident when I was 7 years old. I was alone inside my house for a week, but it felt like it was an entire year passing by. As you could guess, I was very scared, and I didn't know what to do. And i was stupid enough to not tell it to any of my neighbors.
"... I can go to sleep now…" Akira got up from the chair.
After that week passed, my aunt, who was living in this city, decided to take me to her house. Though before that happened, she stayed in my parents home with me for another week until she could get enough money to go back to the United Kingdom.
My first impression of London was actually pretty good, not including the fact that I was pretty depressed after being told about my parents' deaths.
Akira turned off the lamp on his desk and he turned around and looked at the digital clock on top of his drawer next to his bed. "It's 2:39 AM? That explains a lot…" He sighed and sat on the bed, ready to sleep.
With that out of the way, I'll tell you a little bit more about myself. I'm 16 years old, I'm 6'1, and I have pretty good grades. I also like to play videogames, ESPECIALLY Super Smash Bros games. I just have a fascination for fighting games with characters from a variety of franchises. And yes, I do have Ultimate, which my uncle bought me for my 13th birthday.
I have short black hair and brown eyes. I like to wear black clothes, not that I want to look like an emo, but I just like wearing them. I am currently wearing a black jacket on top of a white T-shirt, black jeans and black shoes. Yeah, not something I should be wearing in the middle of the night.
And that's basically all about me.
Akira was about to take off his shoes, when his Nintendo Switch started glowing.
"W-What…?" He blocked off the light with his arm as he squinted his eyes. "...Why is my Switch glowing…?"
He got up from the bed and walked near the console. He tried touching it, but it was too hot. "Ow!" He stepped back and he tripped. Luckily, he fell onto the bed. "Why is it this hot?!" He shouted, quickly covering his mouth because his aunt was already sleeping.
The teen looked around and moved his hands away from his mouth. "I forgot she's sleeping…" He got up again, this time to look at the screen to see if there was something on it. As his head peeked above the Switch, Akira's eyes squinted again, he looked at the screen, but it was completely white. "There's nothing…?"
Suddenly, the light of the screen started expanding away from the console very fast. Akira gasped but he couldn't react in time, and the entire room was engulfed in light. When it faded away, Akira was nowhere to be seen.
Outside the house, a middle-aged woman was walking by Akira's Home, and she witnessed the light engulfing the room. "Those young boys with their fancy mumbo jumbo at this hour… I'm really jealous." She resumed walking.

Starting Area
Kirby let out a sigh of relief, he's just defeated the spirit of Celeste. It turned out to be pretty hard to fight a fellow puffball this time, as he barely knocked out the Jigglypuff clone.
Celeste's spirit came out of the body of the clone as it disintegrated, and the spirit of the red owl started heading inside the body of the pink puffball.
It freaked Kirby out a little the time he defeated the Smoky Progg's spirit, but he started to get along with the fact that the spirits of random strangers kept going inside him.
Kirby started walking towards the entrance of some ruins, determined to find every Smasher and free them from Galeem's control and defeat it.
Kirby saw a teen knocked out on the grass near him. The pink puffball hurried to the side of the person and he started shaking his body with his tiny arms. By looking at the unknown human's face, anyone could clearly see that he was badly injured.
The teen woke up, and the first thing he tried to do was get up, but the injuries on his legs didn't let him do so. He looked at his side and found Kirby looking at him with a worried look on his face as he shook his head, indicating that the human couldn't get up or else he would get worse.
Luckily, Kirby had found a Maxim Tomato after defeating Eevee's spirit and put it near the teen's mouth, and he took a bite out of the recovery item. The body of the human glowed and healed most of his injuries, including the ones on his legs and the scar on his face.
The teen got up and he looked back at Kirby. "T-Thanks." He said as he smiled at the puffball.
Kirby smiled back. "No problem! By the way, what's your name?"
The teen scratched the back of his head. "Oh, yeah I forgot about that… My name is Akira, I'm just your normal highschooler."
Kirby replied by saying "Poyo" happily as he waved his arms.
Akira smiled again and crouched to the size of Kirby "You know, you're a very cute… What exactly are you…?"
Kirby stopped waving his arms and he lowered his head a bit as a sad expression formed on the pink puffball's face. "I don't know…"
Akira gasped and patted Kirby's head. "Aw, don't be sad about it."
Kirby looked back at the teen's face as his hand stopped patting his head. "What happened to you?"
"What are you talking abou- Oh… That." Akira sighed. "Well, what I remember is trying to sleep at my home after studying the entire day. Then some light came out of nowhere that almost made me blind, and when I opened my eyes I was here. I tried to find a way back, but then some pink puffball that looked pretty similar to you appeared and… They beat me up."
Kirby knew who Akira was talking about. "You mean that Jigglypuff clone?"
"Jigglypuff? Isn't that a Po- Wait, I think I know who you are… Kirby?"
Kirby tilted his head. "How do you know my name?"
Akira stayed silent for a few seconds, thinking for a response. (Wait… If Kirby doesn't know how I know his name… Then i don't think he knows that he's a fictional character…) "Oh wait… Nevermind, I was thinking of another person… but I ended up actually guessing your name… Weird."
Kirby smiled at the teen again. "It's okay, don't worry about it!"
"Well… What should we do now?"
Kirby looked at the ruins he was going to go to. "I was walking towards that place before I found you." He said while pointing at the ruins he mentioned.
"I was actually going to go to that place, but you already know what happened."
"Wait, I think I see something…" Kirby squinted his eyes while looking at the entrance of the ruins. After a few seconds Kirby realized what was blocking the path and started running towards it.
Akira gasped and started running after Kirby. "H-Hey! Don't run away like that!"
"Mario!" Kirby looked happy to see whatever was blocking the entrance.
"Who are you talking abo-"
Kirby stopped running once he noticed something was wrong about the person blocking the way. "M-Mario?"
The teen stopped running behind Kirby. "Who 's… Mario…?" He said while panting. Once he looked up he noticed a human standing in their way. Akira obviously recognized them as Mario, Nintendo's mascot, one of the most famous fictional characters in the world. Except… He had red pupils, and something about him felt… Off.
"M-Mario… What's wrong with you...?" Kirby said as he looked worried at the face of the plumber.
"Kirby… I don't think that's who you remember it is…"
Kirby looked at Akira, and then back at Mario. "You're right…" He looked sad as he was looking at his friend, who became a puppet of Galeem. His sad expression suddenly turned into an angry one as he prepared himself for Mario to attack.
"Wait… Don't tell me we're going to fight him!"
"It's the only option we have!" Kirby said as he looked back at Akira again.
"Why do we have to do this now? I never thought this would happen!" Akira panicked.
As Kirby approached Mario, a black cross appeared on the screen and grew until it was completely covered in black, indicating the start of a battle…
To be continued.
"¿Really? We're going to have to fight Mario?" Akira said with a bored expression on his face.
"Yep!" Kirby said happily.
"I literally have no experience in fighting, what do you expect me to do against him?"
"Don't worry, I'll fight for you!"
The teen sighed. "Ugh, fine… Let's just get on with this…"
"VS Mario! It's the first battle of the story, you'll get better at it!"
"Actually… Yeah, that's true."
This chapter turned out to be pretty good in my opinion, but as i've already stated, this is my first fanfiction ever, and other people might think this is bad for a lot of reasons, but that just might be myself being pessimistic.
Anyways, as you might have guessed, the next chapter will be about fights, which is not something I'm going to be good at making chapters about (judging by the fact that I'm bad at doing fights in roleplays), so it might take longer, or it also might end up being terrible. Who knows?
With that out of the way, Thanks for reading, and have a wonderful day!
