Amphibia: Calamity War
Chapter 2: Where To Find Them
The next morning on sunny day not far from Los Angeles, but in somewhere there was a huge sign on the mountain called "Toontown" where all cartoons lived in peace with the humans. Some where all animals that can talk while others are humans as cartoons. A blue bird fly through the sky until it lands on a bird bath right in front the house that has red roof and yellow structures. By then, the door open where it shows Mickey and Minnie both wearing their regular clothes along with Pluto carrying their picnic basket.
"So, Minnie. Are you ready for our picnic?" asked Mickey.
"Oh yes, Mickey. Another day for our lovely picnic." replied Minnie.
"Picnic park here we come!"
Both Mickey and Minnie got into his car while Pluto hop in the back with picnic basket. Mickey start the engine and began to pulled and head straight to the park to enjoy their day as they drive past by a boat.
A boat that belongs to Donald who's now wearing his sailor suit taking a nap on his hammock, but didn't noticed while he's asleep, there were triplets' ducklings are Huey, Dewey, and Louie as they prepared for their next prank.
Huey pulled the rope that's tied up on a hammock and started to spin their uncle causing him to woke up quickly and fell off the hammock. Donald felt his head spinning while his nephews were laughing. Donald shook his head and give them a glare.
"Boys! What's the meaning of this?!"
"Sorry, uncle Donald." Huey apologized.
"It's morning you know." Dewey added.
"Yeah, you should start doing some exercise." Louie commented.
"Been there, done that." replied Donald. Suddenly, they heard a car honking and it was Daisy who's been driving her car and waiting for Donald.
"Donald, over here!" Daisy hollered.
Donald quickly smiled when Daisy arrived and looked at his nephews.
"Now you boys behave while I'm gone and remember, no more pranks! Understood?"
"Yes, uncle Donald." said the triplets.
"That's the spirit." said Donald and went straight to Daisy's car and hopped in as they drove away.
"Behave yourself!" reminded Donald.
"Bye boys!" said Daisy.
"Bye uncle Donald!"
After they left, Hue, Dewey, and Louie started to come up with some activities since they're alone again.
"So what now?" ask Dewey.
"I don't know. What do you want to do today?" ask Huey.
"Hey, I know! Let's head to the park." Louie suggested.
"Sounds good to me." said Huey.
"Let's go!" shouted Dewey excited. The boys quickly left Donald's boat and head straight to the park when running throughout the neighbors. They passed by a house that belongs to Goofy who's now wearing his casual clothes and his green hat went to get some fresh air humming. He walked through the fence and go for some exercise passing by his neighbor.
"Morning, Horace!" Goofy greeted.
"Morning, Goofy!" Horace greeted back working his garden. Goofy walk across the street greeting one of his friend who drinks coffee.
"Morning, Clarabelle!"
"Good morning, Goofy!" Clarabelle greeted him back. He didn't even look when he passed by the board that has some papers. Goofy stopped and walk backwards to see what it is. He looked some papers like missing pets and fliers for any events. Suddenly, he looked at the paper that says "Missing!" where it shows the pictures of three teenage girls wearing school uniforms smiling. Goofy looked at it the paper.
"Say, ain't those girls that Mickey's been talking about back at the tower that's been gone missing?"
Goofy recalls as he started to remember since Mickey told him about the girls. He reads carefully and started to change his expression until he quickly gasps and shocked when his eyes pupil shrink with eyes wide open.
"GONE MISSING?! I GOTTA TELL MICKEY!"
Goofy swipe the paper off from the board. He stands by the sidewalk waving for someone to pick him up.
"Hey, taxi!" Goofy called out the taxi.
Suddenly, a taxi cab, Benny arrived, but with eyes and mouth in front and there isn't any driver.
"You called?" asked Benny.
"I need to find Mickey! It's an emergency!" replied Goofy.
"Hop in! I know where he is."
Goofy quickly got in as they drove away fast passing by some cars without crashing throughout downtown. They quickly passed by through the street lights that's going red, but they didn't stop when they pass by a car that belongs to Pete who just shouted at Goofy for mistakenly for road hog.
"WATCH WHERE YA GOING YOU HOOLIGANS!"
Cut to the café where Donald and Daisy are having their early date outside from the restaurant. Right now they are having their own drink. Daisy is looking at her phone while Donald is staring at her.
"So Donald, what other dresses should I wear for the next movie premiere this month? Should I wear a safari outfit or a glitter dress?" Daisy asked.
"I think you should wear something pretty." said Donald dreaming.
"Well glitter it is! Thank you Donald." said Daisy took no notice to Donald.
"You're welcome."
Suddenly, both Goofy and Benny drove passed by Donald and Daisy startled. They looked over and saw their friend drove very fast.
"What was that?!" Donald frantic.
"Is that Goofy?!" exclaimed Daisy.
Meanwhile in the park, Mickey and Minnie are relaxing as they are sitting on their blanket with their picnic basket while Pluto was sleeping. They have already eaten their snacks like apples and sandwiches. Two butterflies flew passed our favorite lovebirds.
"Gosh, it sure was pretty. Isn't it, Minnie?"
"Oh yes, Mickey. I had so much wonderful time."
"Yeah, you, me, and Pluto of course are having the best time of our life. Nothing can stop us now."
Mickey spoke too soon when they heard a car running. They looked at what's coming while Pluto is awake. Finally, Benny arrived and parked right by them when Goofy came out.
"Thanks for the lift, Benny." Goofy thanked the talking taxi.
"Anytime, Goofy. Gotta run." replied Benny as he drove away. Goofy ran towards to his friends anxious. Both Mickey and Minnie were surprised that Goofy arrived.
"Goofy? What are you doing here?" Mickey asked.
"Mickey, we got an emergency here! Oh, hiya Minnie." said Goofy then greeted to Minnie.
"Hello Goofy. What's the matter?" asked Minnie.
"Well, you see when I go out for walk to get some fresh air when I was planning to drop by for a visit, but then I walked passed by the board where there are so many papers like missing pets or help wanted. Then it got me attention when there's a paper when three girls missing." Goofy explained.
"Three girls?" Mickey asked.
"Yeah, do you remember when you told us about three little girls that you encountered since eight years ago?"
Mickey tried to recall when he started to remember what Goofy's been talking about. It's been a really long time since the last time he has seen three little girls back at Yen Sid's tower. And then it hit him.
"Wait, you mean Anne, Sasha, and Marcy?"
"Yeah, those girls!" said Goofy.
"Gosh, I remember that back in 2011. Why do you ask?"
"Well, see for yourself." said Goofy handing out the paper to Mickey. He gently took the paper and started to read the words and looking at the picture. His expression changed from smile into shocking when raising his eyebrows. Minnie noticed his looks.
"Mickey? What is it?"
Mickey didn't answer, but he looked at Goofy fearful.
"When did this happened?" asked Mickey stunned.
"Last night." replied Goofy quietly.
Minnie cover her mouth horrified when shocked. They couldn't believe that the girls are missing last night. Pluto started to worry when he heard about this. Mickey felt his heart shattered and he started to get worried about the girls.
"Oh dear, this is terrible!" cried Minnie.
"We gotta do something! Minnie, called Daisy. I'll send a text to the rest of our friends." Mickey ordered.
Minnie nodded. She pulled out her phone to contact Daisy while Mickey send a text to most of his friends. Goofy looked at Mickey sad when he holds his hat anxiously.
"Do you think the girls are okay?" Goofy asked softly.
"I don't know, Goofy. Whatever happened to them or where they are now, let's pray that they should be okay…..I hope."
Suddenly, they heard three cars running and their friends finally arrived. Donald and Daisy got out from her car. Horace and Clarabelle got out from the truck. Huey, Dewey, and Louie ran towards them since they've been in the park all day.
Then Goofy's son, Max skateboarding towards them. And finally, a butler, Duckworth comes out first and open the passenger car when Donald's uncle, Scrooge McDuck comes out along with Webby. They all walked towards to Mickey and Minnie when they all got text messages. Chip and Dale already arrived when they climbed out from the tree.
"Hey gang, glad you can all make it." said Mickey when he's relieved.
"Hey Mickey, we got your message and we heard what happened last night." said Daisy.
"What's the emergency here?" asked Donald.
"Well now that you're all here, for those who don't remember, raised your hand." Mickey announced. The only thing that he told his friends about the girls are Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Chip and Dale, but most of his friends raised their hand since they weren't there back in the tower.
"Okay, I know you're all anxious to get back to your activities, but allow me to explain it for you. You see, eight years ago when I was at Yen Sid's Tower with my friends are doing pictures for D23 Expo, but then I noticed when Pluto was missing and I went to go find him." Mickey explained.
"You mean the ones back in 2011?" asked Max.
"Yeah, that's the one. Like I said, when I went to go look for Pluto until I found him in the library, but then there are three little girls that around five years old. Their names are Anne, Sasha, and Marcy. They told me that they went through the magic mirror that links a connection between the tower and the museum. And by eight years later, last night it was reported that the girls are missing." Mickey finished his sentence.
"Oh, that's terrible!" cried Clarabelle.
"I hope they're okay." Horace commented.
"Aw gee, we're really sorry." Huey added.
"When did this happen?" asked Louie.
"How bad is it?" asked Dewey.
"I don't know, but that's all I've heard about it." Mickey answered.
"So these girls you've mentioned it, am I correct?" asked Scrooge.
"Uh, yeah."
"I figured you say that. When I was having breakfast, Duckworth has brought me a newspaper and I was hoping you've heard of this." said Scrooge when he shows the newspaper to Mickey. He read the newspaper that says "STOLEN!" when it shows the picture of the music box. Mickey was all confused.
"The music box?"
"Aye, last night the music box was stolen from the thrift store since owner report the police to investigate a crime scene. If the box was stolen, then my guess that these girls are the reasons." Scrooge explained.
"Are you saying that they stole the music box?" Daisy asked.
"Yes, if it's true."
Mickey couldn't believe what Scrooge has said about the incident last night. Those three girls that he met just stole the music box. He thought that they should never do such a bad thing unless one of the girls told them to do it.
"But…. that can't be! Why would they do that?" Mickey asked worried.
"With all due respect Mr. McDuck, these girls are completely innocent." said Minnie.
"Well one of them did and I can't tell whose idea was this." replied Scrooge suspicious.
"Thief or no thief! These girls I met would never do such a thing! So here's what's gonna happen, if the girls were last seen from the playground, then we have to spread out and search in Los Angeles. Goofy, you're with Donald and Daisy while I take Minnie and Pluto with me. The rest of you search everywhere. We need all the help we can get." Mickey announced.
"That sounds like a great idea, Mickey." Minnie agreed.
"What are we waiting for?" Donald added.
"Let's go searching!" Goofy cheered.
All of his friends were agreeing to help Mickey to find three missing girls. He's glad that they volunteered.
"I'll take the boys with me." said Scrooge.
"You can count on us!" Dewey added.
"Great! Oh, I almost forgot, if we head to Los Angeles, we need to put on our disguises to avoid all of our fans just in case." said Mickey.
"Great idea, Mickey. Good thing I brought my hat and my sunglasses." said Daisy.
"Then let's start looking." said Mickey.
All of his friends are cheering. Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto got into his car and drove away. Daisy got into her car with Donald, Goofy, and Max. Then Donald's nephews joined Scrooge and Webby when they went to the limo with Duckworth. Horace and Clarabelle went back to his truck. They start their engines and drove way as they head straight to Los Angeles to split up and start searching for the girls.
Later on in L.A., Horace and Clarabelle first visit to Litwak's Arcade where all games are available to play. Litwak was sitting at the front desk when Horace and Clarabelle approached him and asked him about the girls.
"We're looking for three missing girls. Have you seen them?" Clarabelle asked.
"Well, I did see two of the girls stop by and play some games and they just left. Sorry folks." Litwak replied.
Clarabelle and Horace left the arcade and no sign of these girls.
Meanwhile in downtown L.A., Scrooge's limo was parked by the thrift store. Scrooge got out of the car and looked at the ducklings.
"You kids stay here and be on your best behavior." said Scrooge.
"Why can't we go with you?" Dewey asked.
"Yeah, why can't we go with you?" Huey added.
"I can't have you kids playing around in the thrift store. Not to mention that you'll be easily spotted by some people. Understand?" replied Scrooge.
"Yes, Uncle Scrooge." said the ducklings altogether.
"Good, now wait here." Scrooge reminded the kids. He closed the door as he put on his disguises and walked inside through the door where an old lady was sitting at the desk. She looked up when Scrooge approached.
"Good morning ma'am, I heard a rumor that the box was…. missing. Did you know what happen to it?" Scrooge asked.
"Well, I don't know. I was asleep back then I until woke up when I realized that the box was stolen so I have to call the police." The old woman replied.
"Do you know who stole the music box?"
"I'm afraid I can't tell you who stole the music box. I am so sorry."
Scrooge sigh sadly as he walked out of the door. He went back into his limo and shook his heads with disappointed. Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby looked at each other's eyes sad when their uncle didn't find the information about the music box.
Meanwhile at Saint James Middle School, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Max went inside through the door to the principal's office and asked Principal Murphy about the girls.
"I understand your concern ma'am. From what I heard when two of my students had ditched school again, but they have never gone that long." Principal Murphy answered.
"Then what about Marcy?" Daisy asked.
"Well, she didn't ditched school, however the police reported that Marcy ran away from home due to her argument with her parents. I'll what I can to help you."
Donald and Daisy looked at each other's eyes sadly. Goofy and Max were asking few questions with any students including four boys that were friends with the girls, but they told them that they were at one of their friend's house for birthday that was meant for Anne, but she and her friends didn't come back home. They have to force to cancel the party and went to help out for searching
All four of them walked out from school sadly that there's still no sign of the girls and couldn't find more info about the incident. As they got back into their vehicle, they droved away while passing by a certain boy with black hair, dyed over his ginger haired when scrubbing off Sasha's name with graffiti by soap and water as they boy looked and felt bad about him. He wish he could've been a better friend.
Meanwhile, Mickey and Minnie parked the car at neighborhood and looked at the house with two floors. There was a mailbox that has a themed from Thai, basketball hoop above the garage door, and the minivan parked in front of the garage. They got out from the car and turned their heads at Pluto.
"Stay here, Pluto. We can't risk you for wandering off." Mickey instructed his dog.
Pluto give him a salute by raising his left ears. Mickey and Minnie walked up to the front door. They quickly give an exchange look at each other before he rang the doorbell. He felt nervous when he had to talk to the girl's parents. Suddenly, the door opens by a woman, Oum Boonchuy who looked like Anne, but wearing her bluish purple sweater and a jean. She looked at them curious.
"Can I help you two?" asked Oum, but gasp softly when surprised.
Then she heard husband, Bee Boonchuy calling her when approached wearing his light yellow shirt and dark blue jeans.
"Honey, who's at the door?" Bee asked.
He stopped and looked at Mickey and Minnie. His eyes grew wide open surprisingly.
"Are…are you…." Her husband stammering.
"That's right. Mickey…."
"And Minnie Mouse." said Minnie finishing her introduction for Mickey.
"My goodness. You look...wow!" Oum looked quite surprised. "What brings you two here?"
"Well, you see ma'am, we're here to talk about your daughter." Mickey replied.
Her parents were surprised that Mickey knows about their daughter. They looked at each other's eyes and nodded. Later on, they were all sitting at the couch having their tea in the living room having their conversation. Mickey explained everything about the incident since 2011 when told them the truth. Her parents however were shocked that the girls went through the mirror back in the museum, but decided not to be overprotective yet.
"So, all this time, our daughter went through the mirror to the other side of the world along with her friends at the tower where you and your friends at?" Oum rephrased her question.
"That's right. My friends and I were having photos for promotion when Daisy took pictures. And that's when I thought Minnie sneezed." replied Mickey.
"But it turns that it wasn't me that I sneezed and neither does our friends. It could be one of the girls." Minnie added.
"Then how come you didn't notice that the girls were there all this time?" Bee asked.
"Well, we didn't know about the girls, but Pluto noticed when he started to sniff by picking up their scent and that's where he found Marcy hiding underneath the table." Mickey replied.
"Then what happened?" Oum asked.
"I went to find Pluto and when I came in, I was surprised that she's under the table and she's staring right at me. I know she was a little too shy around strangers, but she knows who I am."
"And then Anne and Sasha come out of hiding. They told him that they were lost in the museum and he escort them back to the museum." Minnie added.
"Huh, so that's explains why Anne started to draw pictures of you." said Mrs. Boonchuy.
"Hold up, if you send the girls back home, why didn't Anne told us the truth?" asked Mr. Boonchuy.
"I told them that we should keep a secret so they won't get into trouble." Mickey answered.
"Well, they were for over eight years. Surely they ditched school or skip the theater. She became irresponsible and stubbornly denied for what she has been doing." said Mr. Boonchuy as he set down his mug.
"Did something happened to her?" Minnie asked.
"Well, as you can see since Anne and Marcy have met Sasha when they became friends, they started change by the time when they're 11 and decided to do whatever they want. Sasha was like, miss popular of school told each kids to do whatever she wants." Mr. Boonchuy explained.
"So you're saying that Sasha was acting like…. well…. dictator?" Mickey asked.
"Hardly, but I don't trust her when approached our daughter."
"What about Marcy? Was she into this?" asked Minnie concerned about Marcy.
"Marcy was not like other students, but she's a good kid. She's an A-Grade student when she's finished her homework." replied Mrs. Boonchuy.
"Well, that's a good news." said Minnie.
"So uh, now that we talked about our history, when did you last seen her?" Mickey asked.
Anne's mother dropped her smile into sad. She set her mug down and started to think about her daughter. Mickey and Minnie felt the same way when they see her sad.
"It was her birthday. The last time I saw her when she went to school. We were planning to throw her a birthday party by evening. I tried to text her or calling her phone, but she never responded." Mrs. Boonchuy explained.
"Did something happened to her?" Mickey asked softly.
"Later that evening, my husband had a phone call from school and told that they just ditched school again. I was going to call her to ground her, but she didn't answer her phone. And by then, we panicked."
Mickey felt his heart beating fast and grow sad. Minnie set her mug down and hold her boyfriend's hand. Mrs. Boonchuy keep explaining to them.
"We call the police. They asked that where did the girls went. And I told them that they were at the playground where they used to hangout, but they said that there is no sign of them. I was also told that Marcy ran away from home too and we have no idea why she ran off." Mrs. Boonchuy paused her sentence when tears started to shed.
Her husband felt sad and hold his wife's hands to comfort her. Mickey and Minnie have never seen her cried before. They knew a mother cried whenever a child was lost or missing.
"Anne…. was supposed to come back home to us. To me. I…I don't know what's going on with her, but she's only thirteen years old! What has happened to our family?!" Mrs. Boonchuy cried putting her hands on her face.
Minnie's tears started to shed as well. Mickey felt the same way when he lost his closet friend who created him from the beginning. It broke his heart to see Anne's mother is crying. Her husband rubbed her back to comfort her.
"Gosh, I am so sorry." Mickey apologize sadly. "I know what is like to lose someone that I truly love the most."
She stopped crying for a bit and looked at Mickey sadly with tears. He got off the chair and comfort her by using his hands to rub her.
"I know that Anne loves you more than anything. I want you to have faith and courage. And I will do anything to help you get your daughter back."
Mrs. Boonchuy felt her heart warmed. She quickly got off the couch give Mickey a big warm hug with tears. Mickey never felt this way before since Anne hugged him back when she was five. Then he accepted his hug. Minnie pulled out her handkerchief and wipe her tears when she smiled.
"Thank you. Thank you so much. I never thought how you step up, but you are the only reason why Anne looked up to you." said Mrs. Boonchuy when let go of her hug and looked at Mickey with tears, but smiling.
Her husband thought of something. He went to look through some photos to find a copy one while Minnie got off from the chair.
"Is there anything we can do to help you?" Minnie asked kindly.
"Yes, I would like to you to report when you see her." Mrs. Boonchuy answered. Her husband found the photo and hand it to Mickey for safekeeping.
"Here, take this. We had a copy from the printer." Mr. Boonchuy offered the copy of photo to Mickey.
He looked at the photo of Anne with her parents. Mickey smiled when Anne had a family photo with her parents. Then he looked up to Anne's parents.
"Sir, ma'am, I promise that I will find your daughter and her friends and bring them back home. No matter what." said Mickey.
"And I'll put up a post to spread the word throughout the internet and we'll updated you right away." Minnie added.
"Thank you two so much. You know how much she means a lot to me." Mrs. Boonchuy thanked them, but with a little tears. "Please bring back my baby girl. I missed her so much."
"Don't you worry, ma'am. We'll bring her back. I promise." replied Mickey.
Later, Mickey and Minnie gout out from the house and walk back to his car. Anne's parents were watching them from the distance and waved goodbye at them. Mickey and Minnie waved back at them as they drove away. Pluto knew he could help his owner to get the girls back ever since he has found Marcy when she was five. Minnie looked at Mickey smiling a bit.
"So what now, Mickey?" Minnie asked.
"I know what we're gonna do. We're gonna keep looking all over the city from here to anywhere." replied Mickey.
"How are we going to find them?"
"Don't worry Minnie, I have my faith in you."
Minnie nodded and pulled out her phone to start posting on social media. Pluto whine a bit getting Mickey's attention.
"Don't worry Pluto, we'll find them. I hope the girls are okay."
Mickey thought for sure if Anne and her friends are okay as long he and his friends are going to keep searching all over L.A. or so they thought if the girls are not somewhere in this city, but somewhere in another world.
5 Months Later
It has been five months since the girls disappearance, but unfortunately everyone including the police gave up searching. Not all folks are giving up their search. At Mickey's house, Mickey is sitting on his recliner chair reading his newspaper that says "Have You Seen Me?" where it shows a talking spork on the front page, however he sighed sadly as he put down his newspaper.
He never felt so sad ever since the girl's disappearance. He made a promise to Anne's parents that he and his friends were going to find the girls and bring them back home to their parents. Unfortunately, they have been searching everywhere for over five months and still no sign of them. Most people stop looking and moved on, but Mickey and his friends are not giving up. He did everything he can to help Anne's parents to find her.
Right now, Mickey has no idea how the girls just disappeared from that night. Mickey pulled his wallet and took out from the photo of Anne and her parents. He knew how much she means to her parents. He still doesn't understand why she ran away from school and felt bad about Anne and her friends. He looked sadly at Pluto on the floor sleeping peacefully next to his owner.
"What am I going to do now? Maybe this TV can clear my mind off a bit." said Mickey when he picked up the TV remote to turn on the TV showing Disney Channel's Original Movie.
"Alright, what's with the giant shuttlecock?"
"We're really sorry, sir. I don't know what happened. One minute we were innocently launching ourselves across the city in a badminton platypult, the next thing we know, we're bouncing on up to the east side to your deluxe apartment in the sky."
"Well, it looks like you've totaled my Other-Dimensionator."
"An Other-Dimensionator? What does it do?"
"Well, at the moment, it just stops giant shuttlecocks, apparently, but it's supposed to let me go into other dimensions."
While watching the part where the boys met, but suddenly, Mickey grew his eyes wide open as he started to realize that he has totally forgot everything and he realize that he remembers about another dimension. Then he grew smiled widely.
"That's it!"
Pluto woke up from shouting and looked confused at Mickey.
"I know what's been missing!"
Mickey got off from his chair and went to upstairs to his office where it shows his board that was filled some clues including some photos of Anne, Sasha, and Marcy with the word says "Missing" and he rearranged the strings to connect. Once he's done, he looked at the board at the center. He went to the desk and draw a picture on a piece of paper. He put on his drawing on the board where it shows a question mark with the word "Another Dimension".
"Hmm, if I were smart, where would I go next?"
He looked carefully looked at the photo of Marcy. Few months ago, he has written down any information about her daily activities and he started to remember what she has last visit. Suddenly, he snapped his finger.
"Of course, the library!"
Mickey ran downstairs to get his key while putting his coat, his hat, and his sunglasses. Pluto is still watching TV when it's still on.
"Pluto, I'm going out. You're in charge of the house until I come back." said Mickey as he walked through the door and closed behind him.
Pluto looked out the window to see Mickey got into his car and drove away. Pluto was now all confused on what's going with his owner.
"Arf?"
Later on, Mickey already parked his car at the public library from Los Angeles. We looked inside and see Mickey is going through each section of 'Myths and Legends'. He searched all the way from A to Z by using his finger. Once he reached to the 'D' section, he stopped and pulled out the book that says "Dr. P's Extraordinary Guide to Magic & Mystery".
"Bingo."
Mickey sat down at the table and start open up the book as he flips through some pages. He first flipped from the page that shows the 'Abominable Snowman' to the 'Cosmic Cube'. And finally, he had found the page where it shows the music box. Mickey remember the box that Scrooge has told him about, but reads carefully.
"Calamity Box. Travel to other worlds?"
Now he started to realize why the girls had disappeared in the first place. The question is why would the girls took the music box from the thrift store. Could he believe that Scrooge is right about this, but he still denied that these girls would never do such a thing except that they did ditched school. He started to take pictures from the page and closed the book. He put it back where he found it and left the library.
"Now I know why those girls have disappeared from the night. Gosh, what am I thinking? How could I have not seen this for five months? I gotta contact my pals."
Mickey got into his car and pulled out his phone to contact his friends one by one. He first contacts his closest friend waiting for a phone call until he heard a voice.
"Y'ello?"
"Goofy, it's Mickey. You're not gonna believe what I have discovered."
Couple of minutes later, Mickey parked the car at Goofy's house. He ran right over to the door and knocked. It won't be long until the door opens where it shows Goofy.
"Ah hyuck, hiya Mickey." Goofy greeted.
"Hiya Goofy, got here as fast as I can." said Mickey.
"So what's seems to be about the music box?" Goofy asked curiously.
"Well, I'll tell you on the way. But first, we gotta pick up Donald and then we'll stop by at Minnie's Bow-tique to pick up both Minnie and Daisy." replied Mickey.
"Okay then, let's get going." Goofy agreed as he close the door behind him. They both got into the vehicle and drove away. Later on, they parked at Donald's boat. Donald is watching "Darkwing Duck" show on his television until he heard a doorbell. Donald answered the door and it shows Mickey and Goofy standing.
"Hiya Donald." Goofy greeted.
"Mickey? Goofy? What are you doing here?" Donald asked.
"Ha ha, I got great news! C'mon! Let's go get Minnie and Daisy." said Mickey.
"Where are we going?" Donald asked curiously.
"We'll tell you on the way. Hop in!" said Goofy.
Donald shook his head and closed the door behind him. Meanwhile at Minnie's Bow-tique, Minnie and Clarabelle are rearranging the dresses while Daisy is at the register checkout, suddenly they heard the door open when it rang. They looked at Mickey entered their shop.
"Hiya Minnie. Daisy." Mickey greeted.
"Mickey? What are you doing here?" Minnie asked.
"I got some really good news." Then he looked at Clarabelle. "Say uh, is it alright that we can borrow Minnie and Daisy for a bit?"
"Since it almost slow days, then yes." replied Clarabelle.
"Are you sure about this?" Daisy asked.
"Absolutely! I'll look after the shop while you're gone."
"Alright then, here's a spare key just in case." said Daisy giving out spare key to Clarabelle and they all walked out to the door together leaving Clarabelle behind.
"Take care of yourself!" Clarabelle hollered.
"Will do!" Minnie hollered back.
Mickey and Minnie got into their front seat while Daisy went to the back with Donald and Goofy. He drove away from the Boutique store and headed straight home.
"So Mickey, what's the situation?" asked Daisy.
"Well, now that we're all together, you'll not going to believe what I discovered." replied Mickey.
"Is it the 'Tree of Life' from Africa?" Goofy asked.
"No, not likely, but there's something that you might noticed. Do you remember the music box that Scrooge has been talking about?"
"The one that's been stolen from the thrift store?" Minnie asked.
"Yep! And I know the more reasons why those girls have disappeared in the first place." replied Mickey.
"Wait, you know where they are?!" exclaimed Donald.
"That's right, but if these girls are not in this state, but what if I told you that Anne and her friends must've teleported to another world." Mickey explained.
"Like another dimension?" Daisy asked.
"Exactly! When I was watching "Across the 2nd Dimension", I realized that I completely forgot about another world since we're on a wild goose chase." replied Mickey.
"Oh, Mickey. That's a wonderful news!" said Minnie.
"Aw, thanks Minnie. I knew I would never gonna give up that easily." Mickey thanked his girlfriend. "Now before we head out, I need to stop by at my house to show you something that I've been working on.
Meanwhile back at his house, Pluto is watching the credits for musical sequence on television, but suddenly the door opens when his ear picked up hearing his owner.
"Pluto, I'm home!"
Pluto panted happily as he run over to his owner where Mickey entered along with his friends.
"Ruff! Ruff! Ruff! Ruff!"
"Ha ha, hey boy! Happy to see me?" Mickey asked.
Pluto replied by nodding his head.
"Me too! C'mon, I want to show you something." said Mickey when walked upstairs to his office while his friends were following him. They entered his office and see Mickey writing down on the sticky notes and set it on the board. He turned around and see his friends standing in front of them curious.
"What's that?" asked Daisy.
"I'm glad that you ask. As you can see for over five months, I've been studying searching for clues about the girl's disappearance. We all know what happened from the night on Anne's birthday, I started to realize that's been missing and it has something to do with this." Mickey explained when he points his finger at the center.
They looked at the photo of the music box that he printed and curious about the photo. Clearly they do remember what Scrooge said, but they never thought about the word that is above the photo.
"Calamity Box?" Minnie read.
"Yep." Mickey replied.
"Where did you find this?" Minnie asked.
"While I study carefully, I think I know where Marcy was last seen from the public library. So I thought I could stop by and look to the books, until I found this one from the Myths and Legends section. That's where I discovered when I turned the pages and I read carefully how the box work by open it up that can travel to another world." Mickey explained.
"Does Yen Sid know about this?" Daisy asked.
"No, but I haven't talked to him about the box."
"Do you know where we can find these girls?" Donald asked.
"I don't know, but I'll think of something. I know there could be somewhere around in each multiverse. The question is how are we going to find them somewhere in another world?"
"So if these girls are not here in Los Angeles, then where they are now?" Goofy asked.
Mickey is rubbing his finger under his chin while his friends are waiting for his answers.
"I don't know?" Mickey shrugged.
Few minutes later, they have no clue on how or where are they're gonna figured out how to get to other side of the world. Mickey is pacing around the living room while he's on the phone with some friends who knows more about another dimension.
Pluto is laying on the floor. Minnie is knitting a sweater. Goofy is eating his sandwich. Daisy is posting on her social media from her phone. And finally, Donald is sitting on the couch, but he started to get impatient when there's still no response. Until then when Mickey thanked his friend and ended his phone call. Minnie stop knitted and looked at Mickey.
"Any luck?" Minnie asked.
"No, not really. Phineas and Ferb don't remember anything about another dimension. Maybe I should contact Professor Von Drake." Mickey suggested.
"What's the point?! There's no way we can travel to another world!" exclaimed Donald as he got off the chair and walked through the door.
"Donald, where are you going?" Daisy asked when followed her boyfriend.
"What does it look like? I'm leaving!" replied Donald.
"Donald, wait!" Mickey hollered.
Mickey and his friends got out from the house as the door closed behind him when following Donald.
"Donald, we can't give up now."
"Open your eyes, Mickey! We've looked everywhere and there's no sign of these girls!" Donald snapped.
"But Donald, you don't want to break their parents heart now. Would you?" Daisy reminded him.
Donald was about to raise his voice, but he quickly dropped it. He knew what Mickey says that they can't broke their parents heart. Minnie, Daisy, and Goofy stood next to Donald.
"No offense, Donald, but uh, aren't you a little bit of overreacting?" Goof asked.
Donald give him a glared. Goofy put his hands behind his back embarrassing.
"Sorry, just a thought." Goofy apologized.
"Look, I know how much the girls means a lot to you, but don't you think we should…you know…take a break." Donald suggested.
"What do you mean, Donald?" Minnie asked.
"I mean, we've been chasing on a high goose chase for five months. Let's face it. We can't go travel to another world." Donald confessed sadly.
Mickey knew that some people of Los Angeles have stopped looking for the girls, but for Donald, he couldn't believe that one of his closest friend was about to give up. He can't let all of his friends from Toontown's down and neither does Anne's parents. He dropped from sad to serious tone.
"No! We can't just give up! I made a promised to her parents. Just have faith in me. The whole country is depending on us and I for one not letting my friends down. And I will not rest until Anne and her friends has been found!" said Mickey with serious tone.
Suddenly, he didn't notice when the bright light shined behind him. Luckily, his friends looked over Mickey and stared at something that's in front of his house.
"Uh, found one." said Goofy.
"Huh?" Mickey confused.
Then, he heard some groaning. He turned around and stared at these four which it turns out that it was Anne, but with her breast plate amor next to three amphibians lying on the ground in front of his house along with the robot's head in her backpack that looked resemblance to a frog.
A tadpole has dark pink skin with arms and legs and only wears her yellow polka dot bow tie on her head. Then there was a certain pink frog with his olive green coat, black pants, and a hat with his goggles. Then finally, an elder frog that has orange skin and white hair, wearing his coat and pants with blue ascot.
They slowly woke up from unconscious and slowly lift themselves up, but what they didn't expect to see six of each toon. They all staring at each other shocking and confused. Daisy raised her phone to took a picture. Then the silence was broken.
"(gasp) What the?!"
"AH! What are those things?!"
"WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?!"
The frog family looked panic since they have never seen these cartoon characters before, but as for Anne, she completely staring at Mickey. The one she remembers back when she was a kid. She was sitting right there with her eyes shocked. Mickey is staring right at her too, but he was shocked that Anne, the one he remembers her since the last time he saw her from Yen Sid's Tower.
"Anne?"
"Mickey?"
