Perseus Jackson, son of Hephaestus, was having a very bad day. He had his fair share of bad day. That was the life of a demigod for you. He had known this since he was six when his mother had died protecting him from monsters. Hell he had even excepted it. This however was so much worse than the average bad day. After all watching the girl you love get cut down by a raging primordial right before said primordial shoves a blade through your gut really puts a damper on ones mood. It was as the world faded and he drew his final breath that he realized the gravity of the situation. The gods were dead, his friends, his family, even the girl he loved were all dead. Stollen from him by that damned primordial of the pit. The world had ended and he was the last to fall. He only wished that he had more time with everyone. More time with her. He would do anything to have been able to hold her in his arms again, just one more time. Percy wanted to laugh. As if the fates were that kind. It was with that final thought that Percy Jackson died. Or so he thought. He wasn't sure how much time had truly passed when he first began to wake but it didn't seam to have been that long. He was confused. Very confused. He should be dead he knew that much and yet here he was he felt no pain from any of the wounds that he had obtained in the fight. In fact the only thing he did feel was a deep exhaustion. He was only seconds away from succumbing to said exhaustion when he was jolted to his feet by a booming voice. "So, are you just going to lay their for eternity or are you going to finally get up". Percy whirled around his hands instantly reaching for weapons that weren't there. He was met with a man sat atop a golden throne. The man was older. He had a white hair and a neatly trimmed beard. However his most shocking feature was his Pure golden eyes. Percy's first thought was that Kronos had decided to pay him a visit in whatever after life was left now that hades was gone. This thought was quickly proven false when the man spoke again. "Sorry to disappoint little demigod, but I'm not that arrogant fool of a Titan that likes too fancy himself the lord of time". Percy replied with a confidence he really didn't feel, the fact that whoever this being was could read his thoughts definitely didn't help. "If you're not Kronos then who are you and where am I". The man simply smirked. "I am Chronos the primordial of time and you, or more specifically your soul is in my throne room". Percy scowled. "Oh great another primordial just what he needed" he thought. Chronos burst into laughter. "Mr. Jackson your sarcasm is appreciated the last being who was in my presence was such a kiss ass. Needless to say it got old fast." "Thanks I'm glad you enjoy it. Now could you stop reading my mind." Percy asked irritably. In retrospect he probably shouldn't have been mouthing off to a primordial especially with how well it seemed to go the last time but at this point he was already dead so his self preservation skills were a little lacking at the moment. Chronos snorted which only made Percy scowl harder. "Oh very well, as amusing as this is we need to get down to the real reason you're here anyway." "You see my smother chaos was the original ruler of us primordials much like zeus in most recent times, the only difference being that she could squash zeus and even myself with out much difficulty. She was also much less of a paranoid drama queen." Percy snorted at that getting a grin from chronos before he continued. "Any way back to my mother. When she first created each of us primordials she assigned each of us a domain. That she not only thought would be best for us but also best for the world she wished to create. She had seen my brother tartarus' evil and sadistic nature and thought it best to grant him the domain of the pit not only to satisfy his evil but to also keep him away from any other creations that she or others might come to make." Chronos paused here to make Sure Percy had understood what he had said so far. "Ok. So I get all the stuff about your mother and the granting of the domains, but what about the plan to stop tartarus from harming any new creations. I mean that doesn't seem to have worked out too well considering everything that's happened." Percy asked? chronos leaned forward in his throne to gaze down at the demigod before speaking. "Why, that's were you come in demigod. You see my mother always a believed in a more hands off approach for her creations. She wanted us to act as guides only when needed and nothing more, and as you can see you really need my guidance." Percy looked confused at first though that confusion quickly turned to anger. "What the hell man! What good is your guidance when everyones to dead to use it." Percy yelled. Chronos gave an exasperated sigh. "You do realize you would have your answer if you actually allowed me to finish instead of interrupting me with your childish little tantrum ." Percy scowled at the primordial. He had just watched everyone he cared about die, he felt that he deserved to throw several childish tantrums rather than just one thank you very much. Chronos ignored him in favor of continuing his speech. "As I was saying I have decided that in order to keep tartarus from winning I will be sending you back in time." Percy's eyes widened in surprise and he struggled to for a response. However it seemed Chronos was done talking. He stood from his throne before disappearing. He reappeared directly in front of Percy not a second later now holding a staff. The staff was made of celestial bronze and topped with an hour glass. Inside the hour glass golden sand flowed in reverse. With a final, "don't fuck it up.", Chronos slammed the staff into his gut. The floor seemed to disappear and he tumbled through darkness. He wasn't sure how long he fell but eventualy he passed out, the sheer mental exhaustion of the day finally getting to him.
